From the "huh" department - Online story: "France's Constitutional Council gave the green light on Sunday to the government's controversial 'millionaire tax', to be levied on companies that pay salaries of more than 1 million euros ($1.38 million) a year. * President Francois Hollande has said that the wealthy should contribute more to help to repair the country's finances, arguing that the supertax should also encourage companies to curb excessive executive pay." -- "wealthy should contribute more"? "encourage companies to curb excessive executive pay"? HUH? Wouldn't curbing executive pay reduce the number of wealthy the French tax system can rape, and be counterproductive to the government's purpose?

---
Gleaned from the above story: "The Constitutional Council, a court comprising of judges and former French presidents, has the power to annul laws if they are deemed to violate the constitution." -- Good grief, can you imagine a Council with the Clintons and Judas 00-bama having lifetime opportunities to override our Constitution based on their interpretation?

---
Online headline: "California church ordered to take down sign supporting troops" -- Even with a misguided conception of what our Constitution means by separation of church and state, you would think the "state" would at least agree with the church on this one issue.

---
HuffPost story: "Earlier this year, the Republican National Committee put together a team of experts to pore over what lessons there were to learn from the GOP's electoral defeats in 2012. Together, they compiled what is officially termed the "Growth And Opportunity Project," but what has become colloquially known -- due to its thanatological study of the corpse of Mitt Romney's campaign -- as the "RNC autopsy." * "HuffPost's Sabrina Siddiqui reported", "CNN's Peter Hamby reported", " The New York Times' Robert Draper was making the rounds", " Real Clear Politics' Adam O'Neal reported", and "DNC spokesman Mike Czin" -- Hmmm, looks like the HuffPost went out of its way to avoid being anywhere near the Fox News protocol of being "fair and balanced".
---
L-E story: "Maryland lawmakers will look at the possibility of expanding a tax credit aimed at boosting jobs in the growing cybersecurity industry around the nation's capital, House Speaker Michael Busch (D) said. * Busch, D-Anne Arundel, said in an interview Monday with The Associated Press that a work group is due to submit recommendations soon on how to meet the growing demand for jobs in the field." -- Good grief.. Democrats know nothing about job environments NOR job creation... If there's any job segment in our country, even the world, that needs tax incentives to create/expand jobs, it's NOT the cybersecurity industry!
---
L-E story: "BP has renewed its request for a federal appeals court to permanently block settlement payments to businesses that can't trace their losses directly to the company's 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico." -- Just how did companies that CAN"T connect-the-dots get considered to begin with?
---
I really could care less about the outcome of the PC School Board school superintendents outcome, but... but..it does involve a lot of taxpayer dollars being wasted on could be nanny-nanny-poo-poo ego trips. The board should just put DiChiara on some sort of full time consulting duty for the last 4+ years of his contract. If DiChiara finds another opportunity elsewhere, then let him resign, buy out his contract. The taxpayers deserve grownups working for them.

Bowl recap: One SEC game... One win for the SEC . 9 more to go.

A Navy player was wrongfully ejected on the farcial "targetting"rule. I 'd rather the players wear those blow-up sumo wrestling suits than be wrongfully penalized for playing hard nose football.
---
Online story: "The 10 richest states: Maryland, New Jersey, Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, Minnesota, and Delaware." -- 9 of these states voted for Judas 00-bama... what does that tell you about the Democrats claim to be the poor man's friend, yet to whom do the Democrats pander?
---
The NY Times Benghazi "investigation" must have interviewed only Susan King about what it claims happened. You also have to wonder how invested the NYT is in Hillary's campaign ready. How can any credible news source/outlet claim a "video" was responsible?
---
Online story: "Boeing Co. told political leaders in the Puget Sound on Monday that this week's vote by Machinists will determine the fate of some jobs on the new 777X airplane. * In a press conference, local politicians gathered in Everett to discuss the importance of approving the revised contract offer. Boeing executive Ray Conner told the government leaders earlier in the day that an accepted contract will ensure that the wing work stays in the Puget Sound, but a vote to reject the deal will ensure the jobs go elsewhere." -- What is it with union bosses that doesn't understand that certain conditions have to be considered before holding on to past tactics? We had that situation here in Columbus when Dolly Madison shut down because of union tunnel-vision. Now we have Twinkies back on the shelves, but the union 'leaders' were the biggest "Twinkies" for causing the shutdown to begin with.
---
Online story: ""The Middle East has become a killing field for journalists. While the number of journalists killed for their work has declined in some places, the civil war in Syria (29) and a renewal of sectarian attacks in Iraq (10) have taken an agonizing toll," the committee's deputy director, Robert Mahoney, said in a statement. "The international community must prevail on all governments and armed groups to respect the civilian status of reporters and to prosecute the killers of journalists." -- What's it take for media to stop sympathizing with Islamist radicals? Our soldiers are stifled by rules of engagement brought on by media attention, yet media thinks sticking a camera or microphone in someone's face is not going to cause a violent reaction?

55 'tax breaks' expire for 2014.. Why is it on tax breaks for hard working people expire while tax credits for the not-so-industrious have a lifetime of their own?
---
I tell you what.. Desperation is already setting into the Democratic Party. The pleas for donation to www.barackobama/organizing for action.com and the DNC are frenzied to get a donation made by tommorow. They want, no, NEED, donations by tomorrow to boost up the faltering balance line before the 1st of January.
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: "Hal -- This can't be right. * We're just going through our records and -- even though you're one of our best supporters -- it looks like you're not a 2013 founding member." -- These guys work directly for Judas 00-bama... and you have questions about the intelligence of his hires/appointees in his White House inner circle? Extra tidbit: This is the 4th donation "request" (read "beg") I've received in the last 24 hours. I'm going to be interested at what number of people actually donated this month.
---
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty... Good spousal "date" movie. We went expecting to see "Saving Mr. Banks" but it was sold-out, so we saw "Walter Mitty". A remake of an old classic but brought into the 21st Century. You'll feel good when you leave.
---
It still burns me that Jesse Jackson, who has had more media forgiveness than should be allowed by law for his own racial pot stirring , should condemn Phil Robertson on what Jackson confers is "white privilege". If there is anyone who has had a modicum of success based on "white privilege", it's Jesse Jackson. White liberals have elevated this amoral, jobless bigot to pedestal level so they can salve their self-denoted "white guilt". The saddest thing, though, is that Jesse Jackson thinks those liberals actually like and love him. Oh, they will be at his funeral, but only to make sure they don't have to cater to him anymore to relieve their self-imposed guilts.

You know, with three years to tweak the conditions of OObamaCRAP, insurance companies did not attempt to package the conditions of OObamaCRAP before the website rollout disaster. They knew they couldn't put "sh**" in a sack and sell it on merit.. this was worst than the Fanny Mae mortgage investment packages
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama’s nominee to head the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Civil Rights Division led the group that represents convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. * Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panther Party, was convicted for the December 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner, stemming from a shootout that resulted after Abu-Jamal approached Faulkner, who had pulled over Abu-Jamal’s younger brother at a traffic stop. * Debo Adegbile, who awaits Senate confirmation to become assistant attorney general for civil rights in Eric Holder’s DOJ, would bring a radical record on racial issues to his new job, which is responsible for enforcing federal discrimination statutes." -- You know, you cannot stop, not even ease, racial divide by accelerating 'the pendulum" so that it swings further than where it started. The DOJ's job is to STOP the pendulum in the middle, not to keep it in perpetual motiopn.
---
I'm curious... OSHA is fining a company $18,900.00... for what.... Was OSHA there to prevent such?.. That may have been worth $18,900.00, but fining a company, which, I'm sure, had no desire for any of its employees to be injured, much less killed on the job. Looks like OSHA should be the one getting fined for not being on the job when it mattered.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Mayor Tomlinson has consistently presented solutions to the city budget problems; it’s time council actually acts on them." -- Presenting service projects that have ongoing negative cash flow is the problem... the bike trail to nowhere, the natatorium that couldn't swim to begin with, the Whitewater project, the Crime Prevention projects, dog walks, buying land that could be acquired by eminent domain, paying people to kill feral hogs, and not merging the Marshal's office with the CPD are but a few.
---
Speaking of feral hogs... noticed that her contractor netted and slew 7 Saturday night.. several days before the L-E reported Mayor Obamalinson hired them. So far. they've trapped and killed 7 feral hogs..So far, that's $500.00 bucks a pop, and I'm sure we'll get a return visit from PETA. I'm curious, since the "contract" was for a fixed amount of dollars, how long will the contractor stay, and how many feral hogs will it capture and kill?
L-E story: " CASSELTON, N.D. — Authorities are evacuating part of a North Dakota town near the scene of a fiery oil train derailment.* BNSF Railway Co. says it believes about 20 cars caught fire after its oil train left the tracks about 2:10 p.m. Monday." -- Hmmm, BNSF... hey isn't that the one Warren Buffet has bought? Isn't Warren Buffet's purchase of such to ship oil the number one reason the KeystoneXL Pipeline isn't being built?
---
I see Illinois is joining the ranks of those states allowing "medical marijuana". Could it simply be that Judas OO-bama is handing out more of his type of "green" energy loans?
---
I'm proud of the L-E for trying to record the deaths of a number of prominent Columbusites over the past year... I hope the L-E will go back and do so for all the previous years it hasn't done so. History and ancestry searches in the future will be grateful for the public notation that these people were not only alive and important to Columbus, but their deaths are remembered because of their contributions to our City.
---
L-E story: "A LaGrange teenager was allegedly jumped late Sunday by a group of 10, including several juveniles, according to a news release. * The victim, 17, told police he had been attacked by 10 suspects, including juveniles, at the intersection of Broom and Bull Streets. * During the attack, one of the suspects allegedly struck the victim on his head with a metal pipe." -- Hmmm, a group of 10 jumps a single victim.. no mention of color of any of the attackers nor the victim. No mention of whether the victim was robbed. Sounds like a definite "hate crime", but why wasn't this mentioned?

Online headline: "John Kerry meets Snoop Dogg- hilarity ensues" -- Hmmm. an alternate headline.... Snoop Dogg meets Dog Poop?

---
New Year's Eve, especially in Colorado, will be a less traditional than the pest of the nation.. a giant pot bud will seemingly rise upward to a new 'high', "Old Lang Syne" will be displaced by "Rocky Mountain High", and Denver will unveil it's new slogan, "The Miley High City".

---
The one question about OObamaCRAP that Judas OO-bama doesn't want to have asked him is why, during the three years preceding the abortive roll-out, did not all major insurance companies start putting packages together that would meet the demands of the pending requirements of OObamaCRAP?

---
Years ago, our store hired a vet to sell shoes at our store. Time proved he was a really great salesman. During his interview, he mentioned he had, at one time in his life, sold caskets during the day, and "Blue Ribbon" food plans in the evening. Asked if he thought he could sell Men's Shoes, he leaned forward and said, "Mr. Kirven, I can sell 'sh** in a sack". He was hired on the spot. Well, OObamaCRAP IS "sh** in a sack", and I do not think "Bill" could sell it.

Online quote source: "There is no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love; there's only scarcity of resolve to make it happen.”― Wayne Dyer " -- Bet you won't find this on a Democrat's campaign flyer...or at any state's Department of Labor office

From a fellow BCer: "A&E is now canceling Duck Dynasty and replacing it with a new reality show about life in the White House. It will be called Duck Responsibility."

HuffPost headline/story: "Obama faces smattering of protests on Hawaiian vacation * Returning from an early morning gym visit at nearby Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Obama's motorcade passed a few dozen protesters holding signs with slogans including "Drones: Unethical and Illegal," "U.S. Bases Out" and "Close Guantanamo Now." Others expressed their opposition to genetically modified foods" -- "smattering of protests"? These are Judas 00-bama's "base". The HuffPost is trying to "designificantize" the fact that none of these issues were right wing groups (which the HuffPost is on call to do).
---
HuffPost story: " The White House Council of Economic Advisers has estimated that not extending the (unemployment) benefits would cost 240,000 jobs in 2014." -- Judas 00-bama is going to have to fire Jay Carney and hire Houdini to explain the talking points on this. First, who believes anything from any White House economic advisor, but, good grief, if there are jobs lost because of the stoppage of writing unemployment checks, it's because we have too many government workers hired to write unemployment checks,
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Hurricane Sandy Put Newtown Shooter 'Over The Edge' * Gunman (_*_) L*nz*'s mother, Nancy, told a friend two weeks before the massacre that her son was becoming increasingly despondent and had was put "over the edge" when their house lost power during Hurricane Sandy." -- Here it comes... the left is setting up to have a way to "bla,e Bush" based on heresay 'evidence' of the liberal friend of a dead liberal who owned guns.
---
Online story: " Four U.S. military personnel (likely U.S. special operations forces) investigating potential evacuation routes in Libya were taken into custody at a checkpoint and then detained briefly by the Libyan government before being released, a U.S. official said Friday night." -- Hmmm, sounds like the Libyans figured out that Judas 00-bama's fear of crossing lines wouldn't matter. Theses were Marines, and their fellow Marines were not going to leave them behind whether OO-bama cared or not.
---
Online story: "The number of reported sexual assaults across the military shot up by more than 50 percent this year, an increase that defense officials say may suggest that victims are becoming more willing to come forward after a tumultuous year of scandals that shined a spotlight on the crimes and put pressure on the military to take aggressive action" -- Hmmm, sounds like the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy has been replaced by, "Don't or I will Tell (and ruin your career and get special compensation for myself) " policy.
---
Online headline: "How to Buy a Dollar with Just 88 Cents" -- Hmmm , I guess you offer 88-cents to a person who has just bought a dollar from the Chinese for 50-cents.
---
Looks like it's between Hawaii and Chicago for the home of the Judas 00-bama Presidential LIARbrary. I'm pulling for Hawaii because if the library situation in Chicago is anything like the one here in Columbus, there's no security system to stop theft of materials. On the other hand, if 00-bama decides on Chicago, and puts all his records into it, there's a greater chance his birth certificate and college/travel records will get stolen and find their way into the media.
---
Looks like Hollywood filmmakers are taking their business elsewhere... more accurately, anywhere else but California.. It's the California tax situation, and all the moguls who support Judas 00-bama's entitlement programs have figured out they are paying for it and don't like it near as much as they thought they did.
---
On a website created by the DNC to raise money to elect "Democrats" in 2014, the number one qualifier to do so (other than ignorance) is "I am a United States citizen or a permanent resident alien." -- You know.. technically, there is no such "thing" as a "permanent resident alien"? Anyone who qualifies to be issued a "permanent resident alien" green card has to RENEW it every 10 years. Why is such a person allowed to donate when he/she/ hasn't bothered to apply for or complete being granted US citizenship? Other than some obscure local election sites, you must be a citizen to vote in all federal and state elections. Why can "aliens" of any status be allowed to join in or influence any American election process!
---
The recent burglary at Shaw High School here in Columbus makes us wonder why the MCSD has it's own "security force". Obviously it's wasted tax dollars. Why not have the MCSD scrap this program, and pay the money set aside for it to the Columbus Police Department which would take over patrolling our campuses.
---
Online story: "Bill de Blasio will be sworn in as mayor of New York City by former President Bill Clinton.* Clinton will use a Bible once owned by another former president, Franklin D. Roosevelt." -- It's probably upsetting for the Democrats to admit FDR owned and believed in the Bible, but isn't Clinton handling it to swear in Be Blasio to uphold the law similar to the snake talking Eve into taking a bite out of that apple?
---
Online story: "An investigation by The New York Times newspaper has raised new questions about the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans on September 11, 2012. * The Times says it spent months talking to Libyans in Benghazi who had direct knowledge of the assault on the U.S. consulate there and the circumstances surrounding it. None of the sources produced any evidence that al-Qaida was behind the rampage in which the angry mob killed the four Americans — including Ambassador Christopher Stevens." -- Well, the give away to what's true or not is that the byline carries a New York Times name. I associate the truth of this, as determined by the NY Times on a par with CNN reporting all is well in Saddam Hussein's palaces when the rest of the world knew otherwise.
---
The Sacramento (CA) Bee reports that "The California Medical Board revoked 58 medical licenses during the 2013 fiscal year and 80 more doctors decided to give up their licenses instead of fighting accusations against them, new state figures show." -- What a spin...the truth is this is primarily the medical practioners response to OObamaCRAP.
---
Online story: "LOS ANGELES — One in every four GPS devices used to track serious criminals released in Los Angeles County has proved to be faulty, according to a probation department audit — allowing violent felons to roam undetected for days or, in some cases, weeks. * One felon, county officials said, had to have his GPS monitor replaced 11 times over a year; for five days during the 45-day audit period, his whereabouts were unknown. * The findings come as nearly every California county is adopting some form of electronic monitoring to contend with tens of thousands of state inmates being released to their supervision, a result of the effort to reduce prison overcrowding. * Mandated for use on high-risk sex offenders by the 2006 passage of “Jessica’s Law,” GPS tracking has been promoted by both lawmakers and state law enforcement officials as a safe and cost-effective alternative to prison or jail.* Los Angeles County began depending on electronic monitoring heavily in 2011, putting GPS devices on its highest-risk felons — repeat sex offenders, domestic abusers who had violated restraining orders, and violent gang members." -- Looks like the "hat trick" today for California... Hollywooders taking their productions to lower taxing areas, doctors fleeing the CA med system, and now felons sex offender et al walking around unfettered in unsuspecting crowds. The sadder thing is that Californians will still support Judas 00-bama, Nancy Pelosi, and Diane Feinstein.
---
Another California story: "Business owners fed up with the pervasive stench at La Jolla Cove — and what they consider the city officials’ reluctance to solve the problem with bold action — filed suit against the City of San Diego in Superior Court last week." -- ooops, my bad.. thought this was something easily changed by not voting for Democrats at the polling spots...Actually it's about the sea lions' and cormorants' "poop" on the rocks in La Jolla Cove (a spectacular sight and tourist draw), but after reading all the stories about crap going on in California, where could you possibly go in California without being overwhe;lmed by the stench of poop?
---
Where does the money go? I'm talking about the $9500.00 the MCSD spends per student.. With 30 students per class, the total revenue for a class would be $285,000.00. Knock off, say, $60K for the teacher, and there's $225K per classroom for other aspects. Where does it go? We ought, no, we have a right to know.
---
In fairness to Lagrange College, John Tures is but an associate professor.. Now, we should call out Lagrange College to rid themselves of an embarrassment for recruiting prime students
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: "Sometimes we do stuff that annoys the other side. When House Speaker John Boehner let the government shut down, we took over his Facebook page. That stuff pays off -- it's not a coincidence that he finally stood up to the extreme voices earlier this month and helped pass a bipartisan budget." -- Although the name has been changed, this is still Judas 00-bama's website, and how embarrassing would mainstream media make it for say, Mitt Romney, if his website developers bragged about 'taking over' (basically, hacking it) his opponent's website?
---
L-E headline: "City hires company to rid areas of wild hogs * City to pay Jager Pro $3,500 to kill hogs along Chattsworth Road" -- Here she goes again,,, on GTuesday, Mayor Obamalinson will be whining about a shortage of revenues and want to lay someone off, yet she is paying someone to do something that could actually bring revenue into the City coffers. Why not declare a "special hunting season" for wild hogs, as SELL special permits for getting an opportunity to blow animals away within the City Limits?
---
From the above L-E story: " “We (Jagger Pro) went from hunting two-legged insurgents to four-legged insurgents,” ha said. “We study hogs the same way we did Iraqis and Afghans.” -- Hey, why not just ship the hog meat to al Qaida infested countries disguised as pre/post Ramadan canapes?
---
You know, Whitewater is probably the biggest story that dominated the L-E during 2013.. the one story the L-E doesn't talk about is that after repairing the banks of the Chattahoochee to fix areas damaged by blasting or 'flow changes' of the river, it will be more than half a century before any revenues received by the City from Whitewater fees will become positive.
---
Let's see there are 35 total football bowl games this season, and 15 have been played leaving us 20 more to endure. The good news is that none of the SEC teams played in the first 15, and half of the remaining 20 will have SEC teams playing in them..
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " I watched 5 minutes of “Duck Dynasty” and felt my IQ was too high for it, so I changed the channel." -- "felt his IQ was too high"... Sorry to disappoint this fellow again, but high IQ's are about "thinking", not what you "feel".
---
A worthwhile L-E "soundoff": "If animals can also be homosexual, then it's a good thing Noah only put heterosexual animals on the Ark." -- How can anyone argue with success?
---
L-E columnist Karl Douglass' diatribe: "Yesterday, tens of thousands of Georgians lost their unemployment benefits. The benefits went away because, even though the House and Senate were able to reach a budget agreement, they did not agree to extend the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program. By the end of 2014, a total of 164,700 Georgians will lose their unemployment benefits due to the expiration of the program." -- First, the L-E continues to omit Karl Douglass' employment on Congressman Bishop's campaign staff. Secondly, neither Douglass nor Bishop comprehend that 164,700 Georgians (by their count) will be more interested, more motivated to get out and find/create a job for themselves.
---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “The wise man must be wise before, not after.” — Epicharmus, Sicilian Greek comic poet (? - c.450 B.C.) -- Well, it helps to be at both, but nevertheless, this adage is not part of the Democratic Party mantra, nor Jay Carney's job description for whatever Judas OO-bama tells him to say.
---
Mainstream media backlash at what they deem bigoted in Phil Robertson's words just prove that mainstream media is more bigoted than Robertson.

Before the BCS Championship game in Pasadena on January 6, another game, the Rose Bowl, will be played there on January 1st. Why? Is it worth the chance to play a game on that field rather than having the field in A-One for the top bowl game less than a week later?

Online headline: "White House Confident Obamacare Glitches Are A Thing Of The Past" -- Watch it... just a New Year's Eve Fool's joke... now all 'glitches' will be attributed to ObamaDon'tCare.

---
Online headline/story: "Liberal Attacks Sarah Palin for Having a Christmas Tree in Her Home * Joy Reid, of MSNBC, who was filling in for nutter Ed Shultz, noted that in an interview with Sarah Palin on Fox, a Christmas tree could be seen in the background of the Palin home." -- Good grief.. with her concern for privacy about what goes on in her bedroom, why would/should Joy be concerned about what goes on in Sarah's livingroom?
---
Thanks to a fellow BCer, some old news, but something we cannot ever forget in the war on liberalism's attack on the American dream... the American way of life: "In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify for a loan. * His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a straight party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, * "Passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it." -- We must never allow a Barney Frank of Chris Dodd reach a Congressional level job again.

Congress's ban on incandescent light bulbs goes into effect on Jan 1, 2014 when the last of the 40 & 60 watt bulbs can be made. 75 & 100 watt bulbs were terminated last year. Once the supply is sold off, we will be limited to fluorescent or new low wattage $10-$60 bulbs. Some choice.. the 'flicker' of fluorescent bulbs in schools was probably the main cause of the increases in the number of kids 'diagnosed' with ADD/ADHD, and now, combined with the flicker of TV's and computer screens, fluorescent bulbs will become the "hat trick" of creating more ADD/ADHD children that get sent to daycare. The only non-flicker lighting source will become the sun, and who's children play outside anymore?

The real danger of the OObamaCRAP insurance program will be the high deductibles for ordinary medical services. Hospitals' and doctors' bills/charges are manufactured to include the "normal" discounts insurance companies negotiate with them. Until you've paid your premiums and the full amount of the deductibles, insurance does not "kick in". Say your premiums are $500.00 a month, and you have a $5,000.00 dollar deductible...you'll pay $6,000.00 annually in premiums (whether you have any other medical costs at all), then you pay the first $5,000.00 over that... basically you are responsible for the first $11,000.00 every year. Trouble with the current billing/charging practices is the "built in discount" hospitals and doctors have in their billing. That first $5,000.00 of deductible really only cover $2,500.00 because an equal amount would be the discount your insurance company would pay if you had a zero deductible plan. In short, your insurance premiums are not $5,000.00, but $7,500 with a $2,500.00 additional windfall profit for hospitals and doctors BEFORE your insurer pays out a dime. Welcome to OObamaCRAP. Adjust your insurance plan accordingly.
---
You know, with 3 years to analyze and prepare for the day OObamaCRAP hit, if Judas OO-bama's "plan" was any good, the insurance companies would already have adopted 00-bama's parameters into their products BEFORE the 00bamaCRAP deadline was even approaching.
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com : "Hal -- When we launched OFA, we knew we had our work cut out for us. * We knew that opponents were lined up to try to take us down -- to stop the progress we're fighting for. They probably even thought they would beat us. * What people like you have proven all year long is that, when we each do our part, this grassroots movement can take on anyone. * That's what makes fundraising deadlines so important. They're our chance to go on offense. We're facing a big deadline this Tuesday -- there are just a few days to become a 2013 founding member." -- First, of course I haven't sent "them" a dime at anytime.. actually, quite the contrary. It's going to be interesting to see OFA's 990 forms for 2013, especially donations this last quarter with OObamaCRAP disillusioning so many liberals as well as normal Americans. Heaven help us if 4th quarter donations rise.
---
The L-E ran a story today addressing OObamaCRAP "by the numbers"... that was discouraging enough, but can you imagine what the story would be if the L-E ran the same story "by the facts"?
---
Has anyone else noted the irony of many ads running 'today' that feature young people using their electronic devices against background shots of libraries or other book cabinet places? Cgances are those young people will never read 'a book' as long as they have their faces glued to their smartphones and notepads. More irony is that this doesn't sound very 'smart' on theirs or our parts.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " When are you Christians who show up every Sunday morning at church going to get some courage and take your country back?" -- Well, we are hard at work doing just that by praying God will show people like this "soundoffer" 'the light', and 'the path'. This low info voter, of course, is one of our most difficult cases, but we're working on it.
---
Low. LOW info voter's L-E "soundoff": " Obama was raised in a Baptist church by a Baptist mother. He was married in and still goes to a Baptist church. If you just listen to Fox News you wouldn’t know that." -- Hmmm... well, from another website: "During Obama's campaign for the 2008 presidential election he portrayed his mother as a conservative girl from Kansas; however in reality she was a radical leftist and cutural Marxist. She lived in the Seattle area; spending her teenage years in Seattle’s coffee shops with other young leftist radicals. Obama claims his mother's family were conserevative Methodists or Baptists from Kansas. However his mother's parents were members of a left-wing Unitarian church near Seattle. The church located in Bellevue, Washington was nicknamed "the little red church," because of it’s communist leanings." Later, Judas 00-bama was under the spell, uh, preachings of Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ. Judas OO-bama never fell far from his Marxist family tree.
---
Headline from L-E commentary by John Turres, Lagrange College poly-sci professor: "Yes, Sarah, you did save Christmas * She was able to add a little humor to the “Duck Dynasty” debate." - Tures should be an embassassment to Lagrange College, but it may be that Lagrange College just can't replace him because of tenure rules. This column of fluff follows his last one touting Obama as a defender of the veterans war memorial Mount Soledad Cross. Truth is that if Obama was a defender of such, he could have issued an Executive Order (and still can) to keep it standing. Tures never even thought of that. He told me so himself. History, especially political history needs to be taught by people who think....

The rub about cracking down on what lobbyists spend on wooing our state representatives is that those representatives will want a big pay raise to compensate for having to buy their own meals while in Atlanta... Ruth's Chris Steak House doesn't have a bargain buffet.

Online headline: "CNN's Jeff Zucker Promises In Memo To Continue 'Broadening The Definition Of News' " -- Hmmm, maybe there is "change" and "hope" in something... perhaps CNN will incorporate some truth and reality into their scripts. CNN can "change", and America can "hope".

---
I'm confused... The American taxpayers are having to bailout the US Postal Service with billions of dollars to make up shortages in revenues to cover expenses and the union pension debts, yet a regulatory board can "play Santa on Christmas Eve" and pass a 6.5% postage increase without Congress being in session. Washington needs a diaper change.

---
You know, Judas 00-bama flipped-off middle class Americans by his grandstand play of having a White House staffer go online to not register him for OObamaCRAP. His staffer took up the website's not-always-working-resource from others who were trying in earnest to seek insurance coverage. Shame on him.

---
Political Correctness in the local Christmas Break basketball tournament is pitiful.. Two venues are used, plus boys and girls games are 'alternated' meaning you cannot sit back and watch a day of gender specific basketball games. In this years tournament, even though the venues are close enough to shuffle back and forth between them to watch games, the boys games are scheduled at the same times at both venues, so that even though there are 4 games boys games scheduled today, you can only watch two of them. There's no slur against the girls (at times, I would prefer to watch some of the girls games because the talent is better... BUT... Keisha Swaniers are few and far between), but I prefer the more physical boys games. I played ball at HS and college levels, and that intensity still is what I want to watch. Hint: Hey MCSD Board... it's OK to have separate venues for boys and girls games. That might be the revenue stimulus needed to sustain the Christmas Break tournaments.

In Richard Hyatt's column today on the upcoming mayoral race in Columbus, it is insinuated that the current mayor is somewhat thin-skinned and always wants the last word on matters. I'll vouch for Mayor Obamalinson being thin-skinned, wanting the last word, and you can throw in manipulative as well.... when questioned over swapping City green space and spending tax dollars to acquire the property abutting the 13th Street Bridge versus letting the GA DOT acquire it by eminent domain... she just feigned, ala Scarlett O'Hara, ignorance of the law on this matter. We know that was pure BS; besides, she has the City Attorney and staff to research such.

---
Online headline: "White Guy Accused Of Filming 'Knockout Game' Attack On Black Man Gets Charged With Hate Crime" -- I whole-heartedly agree.. it is a "hate crime"... Now, why haven't blacks who inflict the same terroristic acts on white, for that matter any color, people charged with "hate crimes" as well?

---
McClatchy story: "MILWAUKEE - A Chinese pharmaceutical company said Thursday that it has agreed to acquire Scientific Protein Laboratories LLC, a Waunakee, Wis., manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients, for $337.5 million in cash." -- You know, we can't even get the Chinese to govern the use of lead paint in children's toys, and our government is going to allow the Chinese to buy/take over manufacturing drugs IN America?

---
About the biggest (and most expected) twist to Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson's current situation is to discover he was a successful quarterback at Southeast LA. In fact, Terry Bradshaw was his backup QB, and he turned down a contract with the Washington Redskins. Maybe he was voicing his personal opinions, then, too, but did the liberal media appreciate him then... Noooooooooooo!
---
Who does Jesse Jackson think he is..? The whole world outside his own mind knows him for the bigot, the culturist he is, so who is he to demand... not ask, but DEMAND successful people, people with jobs, drop what they are doing to meet with him within 72 hours. To be honest, I don't think he ever apologized, at least not enough, for his "hymietown" slurs against NYC. He certainly was not filleted by mainstream media.. and let's not forget his sexual peccadilloes and love child.
---
Millions of online shoppers ordered in the last week and flooded the shipping capacities of UPS & FedEx so that some orders didn't get delivered before Christmas. You know, I don't remember any websites reporting they crashed because of such site interests. Compare that with OObamaCRAP... and its lack of ability to deliver at all.
---
Online quote source: "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” ― Albert Einstein" -- Would one of you liberal "someones" please send this to Judas 00-bama... he seems to listen more when y'all abandon him.
---
International Fellowship of Christians and Jews...that's the group spending big bucks on ads on Fox (and perhaps others) asking for donations to send food boxes to Jerusalem. It looks like the ads are using a video clip on Jews praying at a famous religious site. Is that really appropriate?
---
From the 'have you noticed' department: Have you noticed that (_*_) B*ldwin has been absent fron the current scourge of CRAPital ONE ads? While there's been no public statement of an official "split", the gay insensitivity squads have been out in force against his futuree as a CRAPital ONE spinmeister. Question: Why hasn't mainstream media "Paula Deened" him?
---
L-E headline: "DICHIARA SUES PHENIX CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION" -- I really don't have a dog in this hunt, but if there is a reason the Phenix City School Board has for playing this nanny-nanny-poo-poo game, then just put the guy on paid administrative leave for the balance of his contract, subject to recall, which would put him at a disadvantage of trying to milk his contract while drinking out of another school systems glass.
---
The L-E listed its "Stories of the Year, Government & Education".. of note is that the L-E considers John Darr's performance the worst, and doesn't mention the budgetary turmoil of Mayor Obamalinson. Sheriff Darr's budget problems are caused by federal medical demands that aren't provided for properly in the Mayor's budget; yet the L-E doesn't hold her feet to the fire for the negative revenue stream of her projects such as the natatorium, Whitewater, the dog park, or the Crime Prevention program.
---
Double dose of an extremely low info voter's L-E "soundoff": ! - "Americans pay into Social Security their entire lives. Its solvent for 25 years, despite Republicans using it as a slush fund for Reagan’s star wars and the one percent tax avoidance scheme." 2- "Americans pay six percent of their income to keep Social Security solvent until 2038. If the one percent would pay six percent, their fair share, it would be here until 2088." -- Liberals confusion over facts and whatever is in their Kool-Aid never ceases to dumfound me.. It was Algore who claimed he and his Democrat cohorts had your social security fund safely kept in a "lockbox", and whatever you are paying into the Social security by deduction, is also MATCHED by your employer (who, BTW, is paying BOTH sides of his own SS withholdings). You, "soundoffer" are a product of your own ignorance as well as a misused public education.
---
L-E story: "A robber allegedly snatched a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson from a Phenix City woman Wednesday, according to a Columbus Police report. * The 47-year-old woman told police she was on the 2600 block of Mesa Street at about 11 a.m. when a man known only as "B.J." stole her gun." -- You have to know the laws AND the rules of gun ownership... Ever heard of the adage... "Shoot first and ask questions later"? Well, if she'd known the rules, she'd still have her gun, and we'd have one less street thug walking around with a gun.
---
L-E headline: "Obama signs bipartisan budget deal, defense bill" -- When liberals like something the Republicans are responsible for, it's always a bi-partisan bill. It doesn't matter that the House Republicans could pass such a budget bill without a single Democratic vote. On the other hand, when the Republicans agree on something responsible, mainstream media calls them obstructionist.
---
L-E headline: " Poll: Americans hopeful for a better 2014" -- DOH! Good grief... even Democrats cannot hope for the same kind of year in 2014 as 2013 was. On the other hand. a repeat will clean House and Senate of debris.
---
You know, Egypt official calling the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization is a pot calling the kettle black.

Online story: "Regulators on Tuesday approved a temporary price hike of 3 cents for a first-class stamp, bringing the charge to 49 cents a letter in an effort to help the Postal Service recover from severe mail decreases brought on after the 2008 economic downturn." -- A 6.5% increase.... on Christmas Eve... Bah humbug! How come "the Regulators" weren't home with their families? You know, when Judas 00-bama took office, 1st Class postage was 42 cents for the first ounce.. this makes the postage rates to have an increase of 11.4% since he's taken office. Nice jobs if you can get one.
---
You know.. the sad thing about such a postage increase is that it won't even help what is wrong with the US Postal Service... in fact, it will accelerate, well at least exacerbate, the decline... FedEx and UPS would be looking at way to cut internal expenses.... first... before telling customers to use some other form of mailing service.

Online headline/story: "D'Antoni Apologizes For Suggesting Lakers Fans Find Another Team To Root For * If they're discouraged, then find another team to root for," D'Antoni said in an agitated tone after the Lakers' 117-90 loss Monday to the Phoenix Suns at U.S. Airways Center. "We're not going to give up. Are you kidding me? Discouraged? That's not even fair to these guys." * " We have a team that needs to overachieve, we have a lot of injuries and we're in a tough state right now" * We need everybody to be pulling with us. It's going to take a whole village to get this done. I just said it wrong. It came out wrong because I was agitated. I apologize and we'll move on. We need everybody to be behind these guys. They're going to play as hard as they can play." -- "It's going to take a whole village"? Hmmm, sounds like D'Antoni thinks 'the Hillary game plan" is what his team needs... it's not working... perhaps the Lakers, and their fans , should try praying for help. Ooops, that's probably against the NBA regulations...
---
L-E story: "BAD AXE, MICH. — Michigan State University says its agricultural extension service is planning 11 workshops this winter about how to use irrigation to improve crop yields." -- Hmmm, this oughta be interesting, but the Ag Extension service probably won't address the #1 problem farmers have... the EPA book of regulations.
---
L-E story: "VICKBSURG, MISS. — Mayor George Flaggs Jr. has named a committee to finding the technology to make Vicksburg city government more efficient for less cost. * Flaggs says one example is the fire department's preparing to install new software in its ambulances. The new medical software will enable paramedics to send patient information to a hospital while en route." -- Excuse me... but how will such a dumb move save money? First, it sounds more like a "hardware issue", not a "software issue", and about the only thing that will be accomplished is to expose patient info to hackers and the world.
---
While you're contemplating New Year's Resolutions, how about including praying mainstream media will tire of Miley Cybutt, Bluster Biebum, Katy Spare-me, and La-ti-da GetGone.
---
Soapbox moment: What ever happened to TV soap ads.. we used to be inundated with Lifebouy, Irish Spring, Ivory, Johnson&Johnson, Dial and Dove, but it seems only Dove still advertises on TV. with FDS (Feminine Deodorant Spray) started a downfall of personal values.... ads focusing on personal hygiene/cleanliness have just disappeared in favor of ads that embarrass young an old alike.. ED solutions, such as Viagra/Cialis, Trojan anti-STD/ Pregnancy solutions, instant pregnancy pee-pee sticks, and yours and mine's favorite ????? pleasure aid like KY slippery juice. and those god-awful old age issue ads concerning incontinence are bad enough on networks and programs marketed to the 34-49 year old markets, but what's even worse it that the most distasteful of these ads are mainstays on entertainment shows and networks that are geared at the preteen-high school markets.
---
Moving on - You know, if minimum wage protestors put as much interest and energy of protesting such into the jobs they do have, they'd probably leave the minimum wage range far behind. I've encouraged my daughters to make themselves 'valuable' in any job/endeavor they undertake.
---
From the 'what were they thinking' department - WTVM9 TV news story: " McDonald's told its employees: don't eat fast food! * The advice was posted on an employee website Health Encyclopedia. ( The entry describes most fast food as high in fat and sodium that can lead to obesity." -- Needless to say, the website has been 'taken down' for repairs....
---
Another WTVM9 TV story: "A group of community leaders in Georgia announced their opposition Monday to President Obama's nominations for the U.S. District Court's northern district of Georgia. * "Some of those nominees have views and impulses that are out of step with citizens of the northern district of Georgia, and it's for this reason that we're asking President Obama to withdraw this slate and to restart with process that's open, transparent and inclusive," said Charles Johnson with Advocate for Action. * "Justice cannot be found in some secret deals and negotiation that shut the people out," said Rep. John Lewis (D)" -- You know, when people protest the loudest about how justice cannot be served without diversity, it's probably because those protesting don't won't justice at all. Instead, they want some one they "think" will be more interested in putting their thumb on their side of the scales. They 'think' that blind justice is not fair enough for "them".
---
Another WTVM9 TV headline/story: "Do you know which country sends the most letters to Santa? * The United States came in third, with a little more than 1.1 million American kids sending letters to the North Pole." -- Hmmm 1.4 million letters to Santa... guess the rest sent their "holiday" wish lists to Judas 00-bama instead... BTW... France and Canada were #1 & #2.
---
Online story: "Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer and his wife, Silda Wall Spitzer, said they are ending their marriage, more than five years after she stood by his side as the embattled Democrat resigned from office over a prostitution scandal. * Known as the "Sheriff of Wall Street" during his tenure as New York's attorney general, Spitzer was elected governor in a landslide victory in 2006. But he saw his political career derailed after just a year in office after he was exposed as a client in a prostitution ring. * The image of Silda Wall Spitzer standing, stone-faced, at her husband's side as the governor informed the public of his resignation would later inspire the hit TV show "The Good Wife." -- Hmmm, and I though all along that Hillary was that inspiration, but then again, the producers must have wanted "a Good Wife" to be the role model for the show.
---
Online headline: "Obama gifts little girl with presidential autograph" -- Hmmm, wonder if we'll see this taken as a 'donation' on his tax forms.
---
McClatchy headline: "US condemns Christmas attacks that kill 37 in Iraq" -- Oooops, my bad... thought McClatchy was going overboard on reporting on a "Black Friday" incident at an overseas Walmart.
---
Today begins "Kwanzaa", a modern US created event vs a world-wide traditional observance. Now is the time to use "Happy Holidays" if you're PC or just not certain what to say to whomever.
---
After his last known killing in 1978, and after 35 years of undeserved freedom & life, it's time to bury the memory and body of Carlton Gary.
---
You know, whether you agree/support Edward Snowden's release of NSA documents, Snowden did help Judas 00-bama keep one campaign promise... to be the most transparent administration ever.. his has even surpassed the Nixon colostomy given by the mainstream media.

L-E story: " A sweeping law in Georgia that aims to reduce the number of juvenile offenders in custody and save taxpayer money is set to take effect with the new year. * Under the new law, only the most serious young offenders would be kept in custody, while others convicted of more minor offenses will diverted into community-based programs. In addition to cutting costs, the law is meant to reduce the rate at which young offenders return to jail. * Judges also won’t be able to commit young offenders unless there are four prior convictions, and one must be a felony. * To critics who say that means a young offender could commit dozens of misdemeanors without being locked up, Teske counters by pointing out another key element of the law reinvests the savings from not locking up as many children into community-based treatment programs for those who are not considered a danger to themselves or the community." -- "Judges...won't be able to commit young offenders unless there are four prior convictions, and one must be a felony."? Huh? Wanta bet that the "community-based treatments" will actually be returning them back to public school systems that have no disciplinary capabilities, and gives the "juvenile offenders" (PC for "juvenile delinquents) full access to more students to bully, and unless these "juvenile offenders" commit felonious assault, the cycle will keep going on to, as Buzz Lightyear was apt to say, "infinity and beyond"! Why not just lock the parents of juvenile offenders up together? I do believe society would benefit better if parents & Junelie offenders would have the opportunity to open better communication lines, and a week or two of forced togetherness will work better that just entrusting the same parents to monitor their kids as it was when the troubles started.

A local car dealer is advertising a 2010 Pontiac G6 at $11,993.00 in today's L-E. Think about that.. it's a 4 model year used vehicle of a defunct line of cars. I remember back in the 60's when a brand new Cadillac or Lincoln could be purchased for $6,000.00 +/- and a used 4-model-year one was available for $2,500.00 or less. Cars really do express how values of things have become warped, yet Judas 00-bama and the fed Tsars insist inflation is minimal.

Why is it that professional coaches think one or two new draft picks will change the fortune of a pro team? Isn't coaching a matter of getting the most out of people who were draft picks themselves?

There's a slideshow on AOL of a tour of epic product failures/launches.. there are remembrances of "new Coke" & "Crystal Pepsi", Ford's "Edsel" & the "Yugo", the Apple "Newton" & Blackberry "Playbook"... you sorta get the picture, but what I thought ot was leading up to was the number one launch failure ever, OObamaCRAP, but nary a word was mentioned. I mention this only to save you 3 or 4 minutes each.

---
Cracker Barrel.... it should have had a special place in the above list..... how it handled its "Duck Dynasty" stance was disgraceful... makes you wonder what Cracker Barrel is really about.

---
Online story: "You may be better off not reading this if you're one of the millions of Americans traveling this holiday season. However, one safety expert is desperate for you to know: Airport security in the U.S. is basically a sham. * “Checking luggage is very nice, it looks great, taking away the breast milk of the mother of a one month old baby, that looks great,” said Rafi Sela, the president of A.R. Challenges, a transportation consulting firm based in Israel. “It does nothing for security. It’s just a show." -- I agree... no program of security that doesn't "allow" stereotyping in any circumstance does not work as well as it can, and in the case of flying, should. The "Achilles Heel" of security breaches is "political correctness".

---
Online headline: "Cleveland Hero Who Helped Free 3 Kidnapped Women Signs Book Deal" -- Good grief. Now there are "book deals" for 14.9 minutes of fame?

---
L-E story: "KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Kansas government and business leaders will headline a small-business forum next month sponsored by the state Commerce Department." -- Good grief..Out of curiosity... why is the Columbus L-E carrying this story? Couldn't the L-E have looked at the AP feed, and finding it a little bit interesting, done some areal research and found something similar that will be accesible to local people?

---
Online headline/story: "Only 4 In 10 Americans Are Aware Of The Incandescent Lightbulb Phase-Out * In addition to the shocking discovery that Millennials don’t really think about light bulbs that much, the survey found that only four in 10 respondents are aware that on Jan. 1, 40W and 60W incandescent bulbs, the most popular light bulbs in America, will join energy-wasting compatriots, 75W and 100W incandescent bulbs, in A-shape heaven when their domestic manufacture and import completely ceases." -- You know, this may be the answer to Judas 00-bama's OObamaCRAP nightmare.... There's no way to buy/store enough incandescent light bulbs to last you any significant amount of time, and with what the new generation of lightbulbs are costing,, people on fixed or low end income will need a federal subsidy to have light in their homes.

---
Online story about above: "Lightbulbs have changed quite a bit lately. Compact fluorescent lamps were introduced as highly efficient alternatives to traditional bulbs before 100, 75, 60 and 40-watt incandescent lightbulbs are phased out of production by 2014. * But now, the new lighting revolution is in LED. These high-tech bulbs last upwards of 20 years and use minimal energy. But, the new Philips 10-watt bulbs cost $60. Each. The good news is that the bulb is so efficient that if every 60-watt incandescent in the country were replaced, $3.9 billion and 20 million metric tons of carbon emissions would be saved in one year" -- Just taking a quick count around my home, and I came up with needing 122 inside bulbs, and 25 outdoor bulbs... that's 147 bulbs that will need replacing in the next year. At $10.00 a pop, replacing them all will cost nearly $1,500.00; at $60.00 a pop, we're pushing $9,000.00. And what about public housing? As soon as the government programs put in $60.00 light bulbs, there will be street dealers pushing stolen bulbs on every street corner, and it will be a continuous recycling plan of underground income for public housing residents.

---
WAIT A MINUTE! Losing cheap lightbulbs is every man's dream come true... We've already decorated our houses with indoor and outdoor Christmas lights, so now we have a really good excuse not to take them down by January 1st! We can leave them up all year which saves us even more time at having to put them up/take them down every year! Of course, divorce lawyers will be working overtime...

---
Online story: " Interior Secretary Sally Jewell on Monday rejected a proposed land swap with the state of Alaska to build a road through a remote Alaska national wildlife refuge that shelters millions of migratory waterfowl. * The contentious decision on whether to build a one-lane gravel road to provide those in a remote village with medical evacuation access to an all-weather airport came after four years of analysis * Jewell said even though the proposed swap would bring more acres of land into the refuge system, the department’s analysis indicated it could not compensate for the unique values of existing refuge lands or the anticipated effects a road would have on the refuge. * The lagoon is home to the world’s largest known bed of eelgrass and provides fodder to Pacific brant, endangered Steller’s eiders and other migratory waterfowl as they fatten up to head south for the winter." -- The feds would gain a net of over 54,000 acres in a swap for a single lane road bed that would be about 1,800 acres in total use. This rivals the idiocy of a dam in California that would provided irrigation for 1000's of acres of farm land being thwarted by snail darters (itty bitty fish) a few years back. Democrats... they talk a good game about being for the poor and oppressed, but that's all they do... talk about it. When is the life of a single person worth less than a blade of eelgrass? As soon as the wacko leftists protest about it.

---
It was bad enough that Judas 00-bama claimed credit for signing up for OObamaCRAP when a WH staffer did the work, but it was aggravating for him to gloat over his keeping his military insurance. No other military vet or enlisted man gets a stand-by doctor who travels with him, and is unavailable for other soldiers I'm need of medical services

---
Somebody on the White House staff signed Judas 09-bama up on the OObamaCRAP D.C. insurance exchange. I wanna know what Social Security number was used.

---
I do believe I've coined the name the Bronze plan of OObamaCRAP.... Crash for Clunkers.

---
You know, it's a toss up as to whether the sign language guy or Judas 00-bama knew less of what he was talking about at the Mandela funeral.

---
The Senate Intelligence Committee... is that not a true oxymorn?

---
McClatchy headline/story: "113th Congress is on track to become least productive in history * Before the Senate adjourned Friday for an extended holiday break, the two bodies of the 113th Congress sent President Barack Obama fewer than 70 bills for his signature." -- Hmmm... Thank God... something had to be done to stop the bleeding. The 111th Congress, with a super-majority of Obamarats in both chambers passed about 375 bills, including OObamaCRAP... how's that working out for you?

--
There was a major corporation PR woman who lost her job because she "twiited" that she felt she was going to be protected from AIDS on her trip to Africa because she is "white". This same person was previously the darling of mainstream media because she filleted actor Kirk Cameron for being strong about his Christian beliefs and values. This is the game plan of mainstream liberal media; to keep its members under thumb... applaud when 'members' attack people on moral issues, and destroy 'members' when they break rank. Such is the angst of the mainstream media's attempt to get its foundation re-stabilized since Judas OO-bama shook it so hard since his re-election. Mainstream media tried to pull another "Paula Deen" on Phil Roberston, but Christians have stood up quickly/loudly/proudly in defense of his rights and testimony. Finally, there is true "Hope & Change" in America's near future.

---
L-E story: " President Barack Obama signed an executive order Monday authorizing a 1 percent pay raise for federal employees, ending a four-year freeze in salary rates. * Salary rates have not been increased since January 2010." -- Well.... with good reason, and better reasons than Judas 00-bama has for ordering one now, but I guess the Democrats in Congress up for re-election this year need the federal employees' votes.

---
L-E's "Quotable": “I’m always fascinated by the way memory diffuses fact.” Diane Sawyer American journalist (1945- )" -- You know... this is a classic denial on Sawyer's part. Facts become diluted or muted by how the media records and reports them at the moment then rehashes them in later form. I had a college professor give me some research advice that's even more important today than it was nearly 40 years ago. He told me if you do research on an historical event, "don't rely sources that were published more than 20 years after the event. All you will get is someone else's, who was not present, views on what he has read about and decided to make his point of view.".
---
The current Budget Deal: Too rigged to fail.
---
Online story: "In a Tournament of Roses first, two Los Angeles men will celebrate their gay marriage on a Rose Parade float as it goes down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day." -- Think I'll see if I can find a duck hunt available.. anybody know if Phil or Uncle Si have any openings?
---
I don't know why the NFL has kowtowed to the concussion suits filed by former players. It was before OObamaCRAP, and pre-existing college concussion damages weren't covered.
---
L-E story: "Boise State University quarterback Joe Southwick said he was unfairly dismissed from the Hawaii Bowl, arguing he was falsely accused of urinating from a hotel balcony." -- Wow! Are we going to get a story about a player appealing for a urine test to prove his innocence?
---
L-E story: "Buried on the (UGA) depth chart, having been passed by younger players and a walk-on, sophomore quarterback Christian LeMay is planning to transfer. * However, LeMay remains with the team for now and plans to travel with the team to the Gator Bowl, according to a team spokesman and LeMay’s own Twitter account" -- If I were coaching a college football team, there'd be zero-tolerance for any player having a "twitter" account.

Online headline/story: "Weak US Card Security Made Target a Juicy Target * experts say incidents like the recent data theft at Target's stores will get worse before they get better. * That's in part because U.S. credit and debit cards rely on an easy-to-copy magnetic strip on the back of the card, which stores account information using the same technology as cassette tapes. * "We are using 20th century cards against 21st century hackers," says Mallory Duncan, general counsel at the National Retail Federation." -- Hmmm, you know what bothers me the most about this tidbit of info? Wondering who is monitoring all the government employee accounts and all the EBT food stamp/welfare cards? Two Question Poll: 1 - Do you feel any person/department in government would catch on to being hacked? and 2 - Do you think any government department head would actually report/resign if it has happened?

---
Have you ever wondered how people who can't find a job can find a camera and a protest group to join someplace? Have you ever wondered how people who don't make enough money have time off to strike/protest? We need Paul Harvey back to let us know 'the rest of the story'...

---
Online story: "NEW YORK (AP) -- The glitch-plagued rollout of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul was the top news story of 2013, followed by the Boston Marathon bombing" -- Hmmm, two "bomb" stories won top 'honors'.... you know, isn't stopping these kind of events BEFORE they happen the reason why we tolerate other government inefficiencies?

---
Algore must be joining Punxsutawney Phil in hiding until February 2nd... NYC reported an all time record high temp of 65 for a December 21st, and, meanwhile in upstate NY, almost 2 inches of ice had accumulated in the early morning hours of Sunday in St Lawrence County, knocking the power out for upwards of 17,000.
---
Online story: "In a rare public apology, the military leader of al-Qaida's branch in Yemen has said that one of his fighters disobeyed orders and attacked a hospital attached to the Defense Ministry during a December assault that killed 52 people." -- Uh-uh... don't even go there.. Judas 00-bama "apologized" for the things that have made America great!
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama's healthcare law could have a "meltdown" and make it difficult for his Democratic Party to keep control of the U.S. Senate next year if ongoing problems with the program are not resolved, a Democratic senator said on Sunday. * Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, who has urged delaying a penalty for people who do not enroll for health insurance in 2014 under the law, told CNN that a transitional year was needed for the complex healthcare program, commonly known as Obamacare, to work." -- Wow...Manchin is not even up for election this year... but, where was this concern when government shutdown could have been avoided by delaying OObamaCRAP BEFORE it became the most embarrassing story... ever. The OObamaCRAP will probably eclipse Monica Lewinsky in embarrassing presidential escapades.
---
Online story: "As Hispanics surpass white Californians in population next year, the state becomes a potential model for the rest of the country, which is going through a slower but similar demographic shift. * But when it comes to how California is educating students of color, many say the state serves as a model of what not to do. * In California, 52 percent of the state's 6 million school children are Hispanic, just 26 percent are white. And Hispanic students in general are getting worse educations than their white peers. Their class sizes are larger, course offerings are fewer and funding is lower. * The consequence is obvious: lower achievement. * Just 33 percent of Hispanic students are proficient in reading in third grade, compared with 64 percent of white students" -- You know, it's public education... how can Hispanic students get worse conditions than non-Hispanic students in America's most dysfunctional state? And what's the glory in comparing the Hispanic student's reading deficiency to white students when the reading proficincy of white students is a failure, too?

From the "huh.. run that by me again in English" department - Online story: "More than two years after sensitive information about the Osama bin Laden raid was disclosed to Hollywood filmmakers, investigations haven’t publicly held anyone accountable despite internal findings that the leakers were former CIA Director Leon Panetta and the Defense Department’s top intelligence official. * Instead, the Pentagon Inspector General’s Office is working to root out who might have disclosed the findings on Panetta and Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Michael Vickers to a nonprofit watchdog group and to McClatchy." -- The leaks are associated with the top two figures, but the IG's office is working on who spilled those beans to McClatchy, and McClatchy is buying that?

Online story: "Ten years after the 9/11 attacks led to amped-up government surveillance efforts, two-thirds of Americans say it's fitting to sacrifice some privacy and freedoms in the fight against terrorism, according to a poll by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research * A slim majority — 54 percent — say if they had to choose between preserving their rights and freedoms and protecting people from terrorists, they'd come down on the side of civil liberties." -- I think "1984" is upon us... this so called "slim majority" is what elected & re-elected Judas 00-bama, but do not forget, that the "54% slim majority" only reflects the number of people who went to the polls and voted. If the "slim minority" had the support of those who just couldn't be bothered at the moment, that "54% slim majority" would be a minority of people and would not be able to undermine America's future. Make sure you take someone else with you to vote in 2014 & 2016.

Online story: "President Barack Obama says he's not worried about his daughters starting to date. After all, he's got some help keeping an eye on them. * Malia, age 15, and Sasha, age 12, are "very sensible," Obama told comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey in a television interview that aired on Friday. * "And the second thing is, I've got men with guns following them around all the time," Obama quipped, referring to the Secret Service detail that is a constant presence around his family." - Isn't that special... we're paying for armed guards for his children, and Judas 00-bama wants us to turn ours in so we can't protect our children from the same dangers.. hypocrite personified!
---
I guess it's the concern for his family's safety that directs Judas 00-bama to take his vacations in Hawaii or Martha's Vineyard instead of Chicago.. In Chicago, his daughters' armed guards would be out gunned.
---
Alert! Most of us with Georgia connections snickered when we heard that the Democrats woould be running another Carter and another Nunn for political offices, but don't get complacent...Judas 00-bama wrote off GA early in his re-election campaign, but still pulled in 45% of the vote.
---
You know, with all the ObamaCare exclusions and delays granted by Judas 00-bama to special interest groups, Judas 00-bama has done something John Boehner hasn't been close to doing.. getting ObamaCare repealed...
---
Well, depending on which news source you consider more reliable, either the 22nd or 23rd gun shot death occurred in the wee hours of Sunday AM. Why doesn't Mayor Obamalinson's Committee on Crime Prevention do something effective, and shut down Liquor sales after midnight? Our grandmothers were right... nothing good happens after midnight.
---
You know, if everyone, especially the folks who benefit financially by using it as a conversational "trump card", would stop using the words racist/racism and start replacing it with "cultural differences" , meaningful conversations might occur instead of everyone going back into their corner and waiting for the 'bell' to signal the next round. America is great because of its being the "cultural melting pot" of the world. Every cultural has good things to offer every other culture, but we have listen, discuss them openly and glean the best of all our worlds. Calling someone a racist for thinking or feeling different gets us nowhere.
---
With all the shootings, armed robberies, and home invasions on the rise, the best program the Committee to Prevent Crime may want to initiate is to take note of the addresses of the suspects when captured, and install TSA type equipment to screen all persons and vehicles for weapons and stolen merchandise when entering and leaving those neighborhoods.

L-E headline: "Foreign-made meth popular in Alabama" -- Must be one of those Detroit institutional ad programs.. you know, "Imported from Detroit"?
---
L-E story: "The end of long-term unemployment benefits this month means millions of Americans could be left without their sole source of income while they look for work. In 2013 alone, the federal aid program sent more than $25.6 billion flowing into unemployed workers’ pockets and shored up states’ struggling economies. * Dec. 28 marks the end of the emergency unemployment compensation program, shutting offbenefits for 1.3 million Americans immediately — and millions more over the next year." -- Excuse me, but why are millions still unemployed with all the millions of jobs Judas 00-bama is claiming he's created? Excuse me, again, but how does extending long-term benefits motivate job searches?
---
L-E headline: "Tom Cruise, tabloids settle defamation lawsuit" -- Good grief.. and next year Cruise will probably sue them for not defaming him causing his Twitter account followers to lose interest. Now let's see if Cruise does good with that money and donates all of it (without taking tax deductions).

Algore and his friends are desperate... now libs are claiming, for various reasons, that 'global warming' is going to be the end of bacon, bananas, maple syrup, beer, apples, wine, peanut butter, chiltepin pepper, speckled lettuce, Kentucky bourbon, cold-water fish, agave cactus, strawberries, oysters, yellow watermelon, honey, and chocolate. I'm not kidding.. of course there's a good, no real good side of this... most moderate libs will look at this list, finally admit Algore is a true wacko, and vote conservative in the future. Moderate libs are not going to give up their wine!

Online quote source: "I want a world without war, a world without insanity. I want to see people do well. I don't even think it's as much as what I want for myself. It's more what I want for the people around me. That's what I want. - Tom Cruise" -- What an ego... All he wants is sycophants surrounding him. What's this guy ever done (other than live most regular guys fantasy lives) that's genuinely helped people? I'm not talking about 'photo-op' things, but reaching into his heart and wallet when the cameras are rolling. POS!

Online headline: "New 'Duck Dynasty' Episodes Will Include Phil Robertson Despite Suspension" -- Quite righteous, A&E... NOT! Looks like A&E is exercising its religious belief in "the money". Hope "Duck Commander" buys up ad space, and has Phil Robertson point out the hypocrisies of A&E.
---
Duck Dynasty ... If the Robertson's are truly a close knit family, in unison (and unity), the rest of the family should just walk out on A&E without further ado. Just blocked A&E from my channel surfing access.
---
Online story: "As if things weren't bad enough for "60 Minutes," the newsmagazine has now been given a prize nobody wants: Poynter's "Error of the Year" award, which it won for its disastrously botched story on the Benghazi attacks." -- Talk about coincidence.. the White House won that award for the same Benghazi error last year!, and with any luck, Hillary will win that award in 2016 for Benghazi, too!
---
Online story: "OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A federal judge granted an injunction Friday that prohibits the government from enforcing the federal health care law's requirement that insurance coverage include access to the morning-after pill and similar contraceptives on almost 200 religious organizations that have filed a class-action lawsuit to block the mandate. * The preliminary injunction issued by U.S. District Judge Timothy DeGiusti will prevent the government from enforcing the mandate as the religious groups' lawsuit makes its way through the legal system" -- Rumor has it that Judas 00-bama has gone ballistic, claiming DeGuisti isn't the president so how can he change his law...
---
Online headline: "Harry Reid Diagnosed As 'Exhausted' By Doctors" -- Here's my "second opinion".. Personally, I find his exhausting!

Online story: "NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Gunfire hit three U.S. military aircraft trying to evacuate American citizens in a remote region of South Sudan that on Saturday became a battle ground between the country's military and renegade troops, officials said. Four U.S. service members were wounded in the attack in the same region where gunfire downed a U.N. helicopter the day before." -- Hmmm. I guess when you don't cross the line you've drawn for one Muslim country, no Muslim country respects you.
---
In retrospect, 1959 may eventually be recorded as the worst year in United States history....the economic damage to this country caused by 1959 dwarfs the Great Depression, the Civil War, Vietnam, and both WW's. Just think about where we'd be if Congress had not voted for Hawaii statehood.
---
Online headline: "Utah Gay Marriage Ban Struck Down As Unconstitutional" -- What pomposity some federal judges have! It's bad enough when judges play god with our Constitution, but it's unbelievable when federal judges rule against God's laws.

Online headline: "Obama Family Headed To Luxurious Rental In Hawaii For Vacation" -- If the Obama's take up a supporter's offer to let them rent out their vacation property, shouldn't the rental property owner pay for all the security updates that are made to that property to protect the Obama's?

Online headline: "FLINT, MICH. — Flint's tallest building is set for demolition. * The 19-story Genesee Towers is scheduled to come down on Sunday. The plan is for the building to collapse within its own footprint. * Uptown Reinvestment Corp. bought the downtown structure from the city for $1." * Hmm, the "test of the story" is the fun part: "The city of Flint is making a last-ditch effort to avoid paying the $8 million Genesee Towers legal judgment that officials say would be a huge burden on taxpayers. * The case dates to 2004, when the city condemned the 19-story building in downtown Flint. * The city and the building’s owners agreed to enter into arbitration over the property and its worth in 2006. The arbitrator’s decision in 2007 awarded the Vemulapallis more than $6 million, including legal fees, but reduced by the cost of repairs, according to court documents. * City officials appealed, arguing the arbitrator exceeded his scope of authority in reaching the decision. * The case was appealed multiple times, until the Court of Appeals ruled in December that there was no error in the arbitration award. " -- Hmmm, Flint is looking at an $8 Million dollar bill, and is selling the same property for $1.00. Flint must my a relative of Mayor Obamalinson running the city. Columbus is swapping City green space and cash to a local developer for land abutting the 13th Street Bridge which could be, and should be, acquired by the state by eminent domain. This action in Flint rivals (but doesn't exceed) a past Council's decision to pay $11,000,000.00 to the railroad company for the track bed the railroad was about to lose anyway to abandonment.

Online story: "The national headquarters of the Machinists union is forcing a vote on the revised 777X contract extension offer from Boeing. * local leadership of Puget Sound-area IAM District 751, which declined to put the new offer to a membership vote, made clear Saturday it will continue to oppose the new offer. * “Because of the massive take-aways, the Union is adamantly recommending members reject this offer,” a message on the District 751 website said. * Boeing has previously said that a vote to accept the revised offer would mean that Everett gets to assemble the new 777X and that the jet’s giant composite wing would be fabricated in a Boeing facility nearby." -- You know.. recently, the Sea-Tac area voted for a $15.00 per hour minimum wage for hospitality workers in the area, and Brazil just canceled a $4.5 billion dollar contract with Boeing, and now the local union leaders don't want the Boeing offer that would keep union jobs open rather than going to a right-to-work state. The Sea-Tac area will be dealt a horrific blow, but I sincerely hope the local Machinist Union votes it down. I sincerely think union leadership needs to have its head handed back to them.

If you use the same ObamaCare logic for car purchases , ... think about that... not every one wants the same model or options or seating/luggage capacity .. it would be a nightmare and would kill the used car market for preexisting models/options.

What is "too invasive " for the NSA to have access to civilian citizens? I'll let you know as soon as I see what's on Judas 00-bama's and Bill Clinton's phones.
---
Don't believe any plus retail sales that Judas 00-bama's spinmeisters come out promoting as a sign the economy is rebounding. A whole lot of that spending is gonna be with hacked/fraudulent cards, and neither stores nor consumers will benefit.
---
Now I will reveal my 3 main economic recovery indicators: wall-to-wall semis in & out of Atlanta, increases in men's Jockey underwear sales, and Johnson & Murphey making new men's styles in size 14. Don't believe any other prognostications.

Online story: "The White House argued at the Supreme Court that the insurance-purchase mandate was not only constitutional but essential to the law's success, while refusing Republican demands to delay or repeal it. But late on Thursday, with only four days to go before the December enrollment deadline, the Health and Human Services Department decreed that millions of Americans are suddenly exempt. * Individuals whose health plans were canceled will now automatically qualify for a "hardship exemption" from the mandate. If they can't or don't sign up for a new plan, they don't have to pay the tax. They can also get a special category of ObamaCare insurance designed for people under age 30." -- Hmmm, when is a law not a law? ....... When it jeopardizes liberal politicians' re-election bids.
---
Latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com : "Hal -- If you know anyone in Georgia looking to get health insurance on the new marketplace, make sure they know this: Monday, December 23rd, is the last chance to sign up for a plan to make sure you're covered on January 1st." -- Hey, no fear... it's just a matter what you want to be covered in... debt or excrement.
---
How come Judas 00-bama's only plan to help the poverty base is to make the successful poor?
---
Can't wait to see what direction the Urban League of Columbus takes with its new leader. Let's pray she's a visionary and even handed.
---
You know, the retail industry may have to come up with a new name for the Friday after Thanksgiving... How about "Black-eye Friday"? With the number of families that had plans ripped apart by stores opening on Thanksgiving, plus the number of hacked credit cards that consumers have to deal with....
---
Speaking of situations that a new name would be appropriate, how about IR-meSS? The IR-meSS is doing business with contractors that owe half-a-billion dollars in back taxes.. The next time an invoice/contract is suppose yo be paid, why doesn't the IR-meSS just send them a credit against their tax debts?
---
A new "study" suggests we pay kids to eat healthy at school... Huh? Why not just offer healthy food, and let who's hungry eat, and those who aren't, not eat?

L-E story: " More than half of the elected leaders serving Columbus in local or state offices violated a Georgia ethics law this year, according to state records. * Among the 44 local and state officials serving Columbus, 24 of them (55 percent) filed required documents late or not at all this year, according to the Ledger-Enquirer’s review of records kept by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, formerly known as the Georgia Ethics Commission." -- I'm not so sure politicians filing full financial reports is always the best thing for transparency.. Having such records open to the public will also show the lobbyist or political manipulators who would be most susceptible to being influenced by an outsider. We've already had one such politico throwing a tantrum at school board votes because he claims to influence 6 of the nine, and he isn't getting his way. Now, the campaign disclosures should be monitored closely and often. Perhaps limiting any campaign donations to only a 12 month period prior to the candidates next general election on such a job would be good for all.
---
Extremely low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " I support the NSA. If you aren’t doing anything wrong, whatcha’ got to worry about?" -- Hmmm, and that was the attitude of the different cultures when Hitler was picking them off a group at a time. Other groups were comforted that he wasn't after them.... yet. Of course, when he went after new groups, those groups soon discovered there was no one left to come to their defense and help. Sorta like cattle being lured by "free" food into the slaughter pits. Hmmm, sorta like OObamaCRAP..
---
L-E story: " A 21-year-old Columbus man lost his sweat pants and a $150 pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes after 15 people attacked him early Saturday at 25th Avenue and Alford Street, police said." -- Heh heh heh... now the one who got the shoes will have to constantly look over his shoulder to see how many of the other 14 are following him.
---
L-E story: " ATLANTA — Dozens of cities and counties across Georgia are authorized to collect money through a lodging tax on hotel and motel guests in their area, but state officials say they are unable to provide the total amount generated annually through the program or account for how every dollar has been spent due to incomplete reporting by local governments who can sometimes take years to file the reports." -- This doesn't read right.... when my bride and I were running a business, we collected, reported, and paid the state & local sales taxes to the state Department of Revenue every month by the 19th. There is a record of who paid or didn't and how much was paid. Any report to the contrary is false.

Curious.. a local shopping center anchor store is making donations to "Make*A*Wish" for each "stamped" letter to Santa dropped off at their store location. Why are postage stamps required?

Dusty Nix is rambling on about Georgia political history... what's he care since he lives in Alabama, and there's plenty to write about over there.

L-E headline: "Obama tries for uninterrupted Hawaii vacation" -- Hmmm, it might not be such a bad trade-off if he promises not to return for work.

HuffPost headline/story: "Obama Sees Surging Health Care Sign-Ups With Improved Website * Crossing the 1 million mark was a milestone, but the administration's own estimates called for 3.3 million to enroll by Dec. 31. The target now is 7 million by the end of open enrollment on Mar. 31." -- I don't get it... it's December 21st, there's a January deadline to sign up, yet 00-bama needs 7 million to be signed up by March of 2014, add that more people have lost insurance than have signed up, and 00-bama's "happy"?
---
Adage for the next 2 weeks: "Want not, waist not."
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. economy grew at its fastest pace in almost two years in the third quarter while business spending was stronger than previously estimated, pointing to some underlying strength that should be sustained." -- Deja vu... I don't get this either.....there's an unexpected increase for a higher-than-should-have-been-predicted 1st time unemployment applicants, 00-bama wants to extend long-term unemployment benefits, fewer workers than ever are in the job market, and the health industry is going to take a blow to its midsection beginning January 1st, as people deny themselves medical care because of the high deductibles, and more people than ever are still on food stamps. Hey, this is America.. not some third world country.
---
Online stroy: " Canada's highest court struck down the country's anti-prostitution laws in their entirety Friday, including against keeping a brothel. * The 9-0 Supreme Court ruling is a victory for sex workers seeking safer working conditions because it found that the laws violated the guarantee to life, liberty and security of the person." -- Good grief! Is the Canadian Supreme Court going to apply the same loss of guarantee to drug dealers and murderers and illegal aliens? The Constitutional guarantees of life, liberty, and security were meant for law abiding citizens.
---
Online story: " Brazil awarded a $4.5 billion contract to Saab AB on Wednesday to replace its aging fleet of fighter jets, a surprise coup for the Swedish company after news of U.S. spying on Brazilians helped derail Boeing's chances for the deal." -- Merry Christmas... uh, make that Merry X-mas, Seattle, Washington! Wonder how this computes in the economic growth figures. Oh, and how about that $2 BILLION dollar loans Judas 00-bama gave Brazil?
---
Online story:"Investigators say the Air Force general fired in October as commander of the U.S. land-based nuclear missile force engaged in "inappropriate behavior" while in Russia, including heavy drinking and rudeness to his hosts. * In response to findings by the Air Force inspector general, Maj. Gen. Michael Carey received what the Air Force calls a "letter of counseling" That's a form of discipline for misbehavior that's not criminal in nature." -- Where do I start in picking this tidbit apart? First, I guess we need to know whether Miriam Carey was related, and whether she was an unintended consequence.. then, we need to parse how how being rude to Russia is "inappropriate behavior" compared to IRS's Lois Lerner "taking the 5th" , the State Department's handling of Benghazi, and Judas 00-bama's persecution of the Boston police;s handling of a Harvard professor, then, and only then can we understand why the General got fired and no one from IRS or the State Department did.
---
Online story: "Treasury Secretary Jack Lew warned House Speaker John Boehner Thursday that the federal government will reach its debt limit sometime in late February or early March 2014." -- Hey Jack Lew, you have the checkbook, stop writing checks to Judas 00-bama!
---
Online story: "Katie Couric's daytime talk show "Katie" will not be continuing for a third season, Couric and ABC announced Thursday. * The news follows Couric's decision to leave ABC News early due to her new partnership with Yahoo, where she will serve as the website's "global anchor." -- Yeah. like ABC would let her out of her contract if she had any kind of rating that was better than Chris Matthews or (_*_) B*ldwin...
---
HuffPost story: "WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is in the hospital for observation after not feeling well over night. * Aides say tests revealed nothing wrong, but he'll stay in the hospital for observation." -- Guess he wasn't feeling so good trying to sign up for OObamaCRAP with all the preexisting conditions, including "horizontally shoved corncob..." he has.
---
Reid being absent from the Senate doesn't bode well for the next 11 months.. in his absence, fellow Obamarat Dick Durbin took over the Senate gavel. Dick Durbin of Illinois.... that's not a pretty thought.
---
Online headline/story: "HARVARD UNIVERSITY FINED $24K FOR ANIMAL ABUSES" * The USDA cited the school for 11 animal welfare violations in 2011 and 2012. Four monkeys died at one of the school's Southborough, Mass., labs during this period. One was killed by an overdose of anesthetic, one accidentally strangled to death on a chain in is cage, and two died after being deprived of water." -- Hmmm, sounds like Harvard has been "outed" for experimenting with training techniques for low info voters.
---
Online story: "LAS VEGAS — A Las Vegas company that owns casinos in Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and Missouri fell victim to a cyberattack earlier this year, compromising the credit and debit card information of patrons at 11 sites, company officials said Friday." -- Hmmm, or perhaps those credit cards simply "maxxed out" by customer default?
---
L-E headline/story: "Blue Cross and HMA settle hospital payment dispute * The insurer kicked the hospitals out after HMA sued Blue Cross, claiming Blue Cross violated contracts with Florida-based HMA by cutting payments. Blue Cross denied wrongdoing, saying HMA was trying to raise profits." -- What's missing from this 'equation"? That's right... the patients... unless you see that they are the 'ball' Blue Cross & HMA are beating back&forth off the walls.
---
One thing that will benefit hospitals for sure with OObamaCRAP is the high deductibles. Hospitals generally post charges that are geared to the discounts that they give insurance plans knowing that only half of that is what is expected. Do you really think that hospitals will bill you for the correct amount or look at the windfall profit, and just grin and take it?
---
That Kansas FBI dupe..if I were a juror, and his lawyer said his client was led-by-the-hand by the FBI, and his clients really didn't know anything about explosives but was embarrassed to back out... I'd tend to believe that the FBI was more guilty than guy charged.
---
Scam Alert! There's a company trying to raise funds to market a headset/microphone device you put on your dog that allows you to understand what the dog is thinking/saying. Hmmm, sounds more like a battery operated chew toy. Besides, how many of us would really want to know what our dogs really think about us?
---
Online story: " Notre Dame won't play a Big Ten opponent in 2015, the first time that's happened in more than 100 years, but the Fighting Irish will play a home game against Boston College at Fenway Park." -- Say it ain't so, Jo....hn Henry! You know a game cannot be scheduled before November as there is always hope in Boston for a shot at the World Series, so that means a college footbal game could be played on the tender turf of a baseball field during the worst time of the year for rain/snow, and heaven knows grass in Boston isn't going to start regrowing until May/June of 2015. Add to that the field damages of temporary seating in order to raise the 37,400 limitation of baseball seating. Fenway Park may never be the same.
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he's not brooding about 2013, despite a series of setbacks." -- I suppose not! It's "us" who were discouraged and outraged by his administrations failure. To him, everything has been going according to plan.
---
CNN headline: "Obama says 2013 wasn't worst of presidency" -- Yeah, forget 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013... just wait 'til next year before judging!
---
Libs try to bash Bush's trips home to Texas as more vacation time than 00-bama.. Let's compare apples to apples..Bush owned his Texas ranch, so he didn't spend $40-$50,000 a week on vacation rental properties in Hawaii or Martha's Vineyard., nor did the property have to be "secured" anew every time like it has to be when renting a vacation escapes. Also, how come Judas 00-bama doesn't just vacation in his Chicago home? Hmmm, probably because the Secret Service won't give security clearances for his old neighbors.
---
Kathleen Sebelius says, more or less, "if we knew then what we know now... We wouldn't have launched .." . Well, Ms Sebelius, it was your JOB to know that THEN!

Online quote source: "“There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.” * ― Ronald Reagan " -- Hmmm, the dreaded " * " .... guess that was the designated exception for Obamarats and low info voters.

The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com : "On behalf of Fast for Families, thank you" -- Hmmm, guess Judas 00-bama is doing damage control for his base that couldn't afford to put a turkey on their table at Thanksgiving...
---
Very low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " If Obamacare is so bad, why are the rich white congressmen getting it in Washington, and the white people in Georgia and Alabama don’t want it? It’s ignorance." -- You know... there IS a lot of ignorance in this "soundoff" submission.. I don't know for sure whether is fortunate or unfortunate, but the ignorance is on the submitter's part.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “The time will come when Winter will ask us: ‘What were you doing all the Summer?”’ — Bohemian proverb." -- Hmm a trick question? The responsible will answer, preparing and saving. The irresponsible will say, huh?

L-E headline: "Obama signals changes likely to NSA surveillance" -- The NSA says, "We already knew that".

L-E story: "Cuba’s top economic official says the country will eliminate a special currency designed for foreign exchange as part of a move to end the island’s unique double-currency system. * Tourists use a convertible peso equal to a U.S. dollar while most Cubans are paid in pesos worth about four cents. Many goods are easier to find in government stores that exclusively accept convertible pesos. The dual system creates privileges for those who work in tourism, and resentment from those who don’t." -- Yep.. true revelation of Communism.. all of us are equals, but some of us are more equal than others... Of course what this is about is a cash trap to see who's got the money stored. Making it illegal in the future drives the hoarders out.
---
An armed robber was killed in Phenix City by the police there. What did it take...24, 36 hours before the family of the killed robber is crying out that it was a "wrongful death". What was wrongful was the dead robber's action.
---
L-E's "Quotable": "The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much.”
William Hazlitt British author (1778-1830)" -- Wow... that's the same as the way to endure a liberal as well.
---
Some liberal columnist in the L-E is trying to defend Judas 00-bama by saying 00-bama has tried to save the 43' cross on Mount Soledad. Well, then, Judas OO-bama should back his 'words' with actions.. a simple executive order, or Constitutional override or even a pardon should do the trick.
---
Another liberal L-E columnist writes: " So who will be the Jesse Owens of the Sochi Winter Olympics? Who will be the brave athlete who shines in rebuttal to Russia’s crackdown on anything determined to be “gay propaganda.” -- I'm a little resentful that liberal columnists are piling on gay issues to the back of Jesse Owens. Owens had his on burdens and issue to overcome. Gay athletes should be resentful that liberal columnists are negating the accomplishments of gay athletes who have already proven their abilities.
