Online story: "Police in Iceland say they have shot dead a gunman — the first time armed police have shot and killed someone in the nation. * Police said officers were called to an apartment in the Reykjavik suburb of Arbaer early Monday when a man fired a shotgun from inside the flat. * Two policemen, who were not armed, were shot when trying to enter the gunman's apartment. A special armed unit then entered and fired at the man, who was rushed to the hospital, where he died. * Iceland, which has a tiny population of around 320,000, has a low crime rate and gun violence is extremely rare. Its regular police force does not carry firearms." -- Before any libs start wishfully claiming gun control laws are the reason, the estimated total number of guns held by civilians in Iceland is 90,0001, or about 30 per 100 people. Civility is basically a lack of cultural diversity.

Here's a YouTube video passed on by a fellow BCer. It's has a lotta cussing in it, but that's not why I decided to include it. It's not racism... it just confirms my point that racism is not the separating factor mainstream media hangs onto.. it's pure and simple culturism. It's why Icelnad is so crime free:

Online story: " President Barack Obama has announced a new initiative at the National Institutes of Health in pursuit of a cure for HIV. * Obama says his administration is redirecting $100 million into the project to find a new generation of therapies. " -- Well, at least Judas 00-bama's is coming out... In the past, when he spent taxpayers' money, he called the money "investments", now he's calling it "redirecting", which is a whole lot closer to the truth, which is 'redistributing'.

Online story: "The federal government for the first time will keep tabs on companies that collect payments on federal student loans, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced Tuesday, * the agency will regularly examine the seven biggest companies, giving it insight into practices employed by financial groups that collectively service more than 70 percent of unpaid student debt * Outstanding student debt has nearly doubled in recent years to roughly $1.2 trillion, making it the second-largest source of household debt after home mortgages. Federal loans comprise more than 85 percent of the total. But as the amount of debt has increased, so have problems in the market * The Department of Education administers the federal student loan programs that comprise more than 85 percent of the market * The CFPB's move underscores the apparent lack of oversight by the Education Department" -- "Outstanding student debt has nearly doubled in recent years to roughly $1.2 trillion, making it the second-largest source of household debt after home mortgages"? Recent years? How about "the Judas 00-bama years! Federal student loans are 1/17th of our National Debt, and college students saddled with this kind of millstone will not make a positive impact of the economy even when/if they get plum jobs. The underlying truth of the matter is that these Department of Education loans are no for student benefit... the infusion of high risk debt has basically kept college tuition and teacher employment/salaries racing skyward at multiples of the inflation rate.

HuffPost headline: "Scott Walker Campaign: Skip Black Friday, Give Us Your Money Instead" -- I guess next we'll hear from Al Sharptongue claiming Scott Walker is a racist based on being against Black Friday.

Online story: "More than 300 economists, including three nobel laureates, have signed a petition calling attention to the findings of a paper by Harvard economist Jeffrey Miron, which suggests that if the government legalized marijuana it would save $7.7 billion annually by not having to enforce the current prohibition on the drug" -- The report also said that $6 Billion would be collected in taxes. The truth is both figures would not cause a ripple inn the revenue stream of the federal budget, but the effect of increased public use of marijuana on our streets, on our environment, even on street crimes is immeasurable. Can you imagine street gangs being immune from arrest (or at best charged with a misdemeanor unlicensed sale) for selling marijuana on the street corners?

HuffPost headline: "White House Says Obamacare Site Traffic Surges, But 'The Work Is Not Done' - Yeah, the whole medical industry hasn't collapsed ......yet.

Online story: "Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) will continue his push to loosen the state's child labor laws in the new year, arguing that 12-year-old children should not be restricted from working and learning life skills. * Currently, children in Maine younger than 16 who want to work must be enrolled in school, be passing a majority of their courses and obtain a work permit before starting a job. * LePage earlier backed legislation that would have allowed businesses to pay students $5.25 an hour, rather than the $7.50 minimum wage. That bill was unsuccessful" -- First, there are NO Republican politicians elected in Maine; at best any of them calling themselves a Republican just want name separation from Judas 00-bama and/or Queen Pelosi, but looking at the media impact possibilities for 2014 & 2016, mainstream media will make this an issue of ALL Republicans being for children's sweatshops.

The elected school board system has demonstrated its harmful effects on education. Instead of a community board overseeing the direction and effects of the School Administration related to student progress, decisions are now made by what makes their paid jobs easier rather than on what's better/best for the students. Neither parents nor students have much impact in school system policies, and policies seem geared to federal strings versus free thinking.

Online story: "Mexican drug cartels looking to diversify their businesses long ago moved into oil theft, pirated goods, extortion and kidnapping, consuming an ever larger swath of the country's economy. This month, federal officials confirmed the cartels have even entered the country's lucrative mining industry, exporting iron ore to Chinese mills. federal officials confirmed they had known about the cartels' involvement in mining since 2010, and that the Nov. 4 military takeover of Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico's second-largest port, was aimed at cutting off the cartels' export trade. * That news served as a wake-up call to Mexicans that drug traffickers have penetrated the country's economy at unheard-of levels, becoming true Mafia-style organizations, ready to defend their mines at gun point" -- Hmmm, wonder how many "fast&furious" automatic weapons are now guarding mines? You know, just as Prohibition fueled the growth of syndicated crime in America, when Prohibition ended, the syndicates were best situated to handle liquor distribution. and those now legal operations became the 'laundry' for revenues from still illicit industries. All of a sudden, "Houston, we have a problem" has new meaning. Are we seeing a pattern with marijuana in the future?

I've already decided to avoid Macy's this year, but Bill O'Reilly made a real point of nailing Macy's position last night. Hanukkah ends in a couple of days which makes Christmas the only 'holiday' between now and December 25th. Macy's is basing its sales campaign on being "Santa Land" and wanting people think of them when fulfilling their "Holiday Wish Lists". O'Reilly challenged Macy's to define what "holiday" it is talking about since Christmas is the only one between now and then.

Judas 00-bama chose the Canadian made Blackberry. He also chose Canadian manufactured touring buses, and Canadian software fie OObamaCRAP. Do we see a pattern here?

Thanks to a fellow BCer - OObamaCRAP explained so liberals can understand what has happened:

There are reports of November being a banner month for all car manufacturers so the economy must be better... right... Don't buy into it. Dealer lots are filled with the highest inventory supply since 2005 (76 days worth) and we know oversupply at the cost of cutting back production triggered the last ballon popping of the car industry. Of double concern is how much the Judas 00-bama legacy is tied into GM and FiasCo (Fiat-Chrysler).

L-E story: "The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services has reinstated two workers arrested last year for falsifying documents at its Muscogee County office, prompting prosecutors to seek a court order Monday denying the pair access to any records related to their case. * The case stems from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s raiding the local office on Sept. 5, 2012, to seize records related to child abuse. They arrested Deborah Cobb, who for 18 months had been the office’s acting director, and Phyllis Mitchell, an intake supervisor. Each was charged with felony false swearing and falsifying documents, authorities said. * Columbus attorney Clark Adams represents Mitchell, and attorney Stacey Jackson represents Cobb. Each said his client no longer has access to the SHINES database. " -- "client no longer has access to...database"? Good grief! Neither should have access to a job or paycheck! This is as bad as top IRS staffers and Benghazi State Department personnel not being fired, No wonder government confidence is so low.

Stupidly low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Social Security is solvent for at least 25 years. If the one percent paid six percent like everyone else pays, it would be solvent for 75 years." -- Good grief... another failure of the public education system. Not only is this one's boss paying his 6.2% , the boss is paying a match 6.2%. This idiot should be asking the Obamarats why he'll get so little out of the "lockbox" the Obamarats tapped into years ago.
---
Another low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Birth control is not a religious matter; it is a women's health issue." -- Birth control is a women's health issue? To bad ObamaCare wasn't around to distribute birth control for the mother or father of this low info voter.

Online quote site: "“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” ― Martin Luther King, Jr. " -- Obviously it's been a while since Judas 00-bama and the MCSD Board of Education/School Administration took a look at Martin Luther King's "Dream". Hmmm, Black History Month is getting close again, and this should be the topic for the entire 28 days... especially at schools!
---
L-E headline: "Gay weddings become reality in Hawai" -- How quickly mainstream media forgets... There was a time when wedding were strictly between a man & woman, and they were pretty much gay events for all.

That commuter train wreck.. the driver was doing 82 MPH when he should have been slowed down to 30 from the speed limit of 70MPH. Now the union wants the engineer to be the victim...

L-E editorial comment: "The Muscogee County School District plans a systemwide policy for next semester under which students will be allowed to use their own devices in class, provided both the school and the individual classroom teachers approve. It’s called BYOD — Bring Your Own Device — and depending on how it’s applied, it can either widen the local digital divide or help bridge it. * There are pockets of deep poverty in the MCSD, and state-of-the-art digital technology doesn’t come cheap. There are thousands of families in this district for whom a laptop or touch pad would be out of the question." -- Where has the L-E Editorial staff been keeping its head? In the ground seems rather tame. Does not this group remember (or does it have selective memory?) that a number of local high schools, not all, but a number were provided with over priced notebooks/software combinations? Has the L-E done follow-up on that and the results of how many are still useful or still missing? Don't expect the MCSD Board to keep the L-E or public informed.

From the "speaking out gets results" department - L-E story: "Tybee Island officials agreed unanimously Monday to retreat from plans to install machines designed to scan and record the license plates of every car and truck coming onto the island, an idea that was met with hostile emails from people fearing Big Brother would be monitoring beach vacations." -- Way to go folks! Getting the message out shines the light of thruth on government intrusions.
---
Pop tesr! - L-E story: "Federal prosecutors say a former Social Security claims representative has been sentenced to a year and one day in prison on extortion charges. * Officials say 47-year-old Cordell Fleming of Conyers, Ga. pleaded guilty to the charges in August and was sentenced on Monday in U.S. District Court. * Investigators say Fleming offered to expedite processing times for Social Security recipients in exchange for a fee. * Officials say Fleming either extorted or tried to extort between $500 and $1,800 from at least nine recipients between October 2012 and April 2013. * Fleming is also ordered to serve three years of supervised release, perform 120 hours of community service and pay restitution." -- Question: Did you catch what was NOT said? There's no mention that he's lost his job standing when he gets out, or whether he lost his pension. Demand your Congress reps find out and do something about this.

L-E headline: "Amazon.com   sees delivery drones as future * Amazon says drones could get to customers in 30 minutes or less" -- Hmmm, don't you know Domino's and Papa John's are foaming at the mouth?
