HuffPost headline/story: "Obama Sees Surging Health Care Sign-Ups With Improved Website * Crossing the 1 million mark was a milestone, but the administration's own estimates called for 3.3 million to enroll by Dec. 31. The target now is 7 million by the end of open enrollment on Mar. 31." -- I don't get it... it's December 21st, there's a January deadline to sign up, yet 00-bama needs 7 million to be signed up by March of 2014, add that more people have lost insurance than have signed up, and 00-bama's "happy"?

Adage for the next 2 weeks: "Want not, waist not."
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. economy grew at its fastest pace in almost two years in the third quarter while business spending was stronger than previously estimated, pointing to some underlying strength that should be sustained." -- Deja vu... I don't get this either.....there's an unexpected increase for a higher-than-should-have-been-predicted 1st time unemployment applicants, 00-bama wants to extend long-term unemployment benefits, fewer workers than ever are in the job market, and the health industry is going to take a blow to its midsection beginning January 1st, as people deny themselves medical care because of the high deductibles, and more people than ever are still on food stamps. Hey, this is America.. not some third world country.
---
Online stroy: " Canada's highest court struck down the country's anti-prostitution laws in their entirety Friday, including against keeping a brothel. * The 9-0 Supreme Court ruling is a victory for sex workers seeking safer working conditions because it found that the laws violated the guarantee to life, liberty and security of the person." -- Good grief! Is the Canadian Supreme Court going to apply the same loss of guarantee to drug dealers and murderers and illegal aliens? The Constitutional guarantees of life, liberty, and security were meant for law abiding citizens.
---
Online story: " Brazil awarded a $4.5 billion contract to Saab AB on Wednesday to replace its aging fleet of fighter jets, a surprise coup for the Swedish company after news of U.S. spying on Brazilians helped derail Boeing's chances for the deal." -- Merry Christmas... uh, make that Merry X-mas, Seattle, Washington! Wonder how this computes in the economic growth figures. Oh, and how about that $2 BILLION dollar loans Judas 00-bama gave Brazil?
---
Online story:"Investigators say the Air Force general fired in October as commander of the U.S. land-based nuclear missile force engaged in "inappropriate behavior" while in Russia, including heavy drinking and rudeness to his hosts. * In response to findings by the Air Force inspector general, Maj. Gen. Michael Carey received what the Air Force calls a "letter of counseling" That's a form of discipline for misbehavior that's not criminal in nature." -- Where do I start in picking this tidbit apart? First, I guess we need to know whether Miriam Carey was related, and whether she was an unintended consequence.. then, we need to parse how how being rude to Russia is "inappropriate behavior" compared to IRS's Lois Lerner "taking the 5th" , the State Department's handling of Benghazi, and Judas 00-bama's persecution of the Boston police;s handling of a Harvard professor, then, and only then can we understand why the General got fired and no one from IRS or the State Department did.
---
Online story: "Treasury Secretary Jack Lew warned House Speaker John Boehner Thursday that the federal government will reach its debt limit sometime in late February or early March 2014." -- Hey Jack Lew, you have the checkbook, stop writing checks to Judas 00-bama!
---
Online story: "Katie Couric's daytime talk show "Katie" will not be continuing for a third season, Couric and ABC announced Thursday. * The news follows Couric's decision to leave ABC News early due to her new partnership with Yahoo, where she will serve as the website's "global anchor." -- Yeah. like ABC would let her out of her contract if she had any kind of rating that was better than Chris Matthews or (_*_) B*ldwin...
---
HuffPost story: "WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is in the hospital for observation after not feeling well over night. * Aides say tests revealed nothing wrong, but he'll stay in the hospital for observation." -- Guess he wasn't feeling so good trying to sign up for OObamaCRAP with all the preexisting conditions, including "horizontally shoved corncob..." he has.
---
Reid being absent from the Senate doesn't bode well for the next 11 months.. in his absence, fellow Obamarat Dick Durbin took over the Senate gavel. Dick Durbin of Illinois.... that's not a pretty thought.
---
Online headline/story: "HARVARD UNIVERSITY FINED $24K FOR ANIMAL ABUSES" * The USDA cited the school for 11 animal welfare violations in 2011 and 2012. Four monkeys died at one of the school's Southborough, Mass., labs during this period. One was killed by an overdose of anesthetic, one accidentally strangled to death on a chain in is cage, and two died after being deprived of water." -- Hmmm, sounds like Harvard has been "outed" for experimenting with training techniques for low info voters.
---
Online story: "LAS VEGAS — A Las Vegas company that owns casinos in Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and Missouri fell victim to a cyberattack earlier this year, compromising the credit and debit card information of patrons at 11 sites, company officials said Friday." -- Hmmm, or perhaps those credit cards simply "maxxed out" by customer default?
---
L-E headline/story: "Blue Cross and HMA settle hospital payment dispute * The insurer kicked the hospitals out after HMA sued Blue Cross, claiming Blue Cross violated contracts with Florida-based HMA by cutting payments. Blue Cross denied wrongdoing, saying HMA was trying to raise profits." -- What's missing from this 'equation"? That's right... the patients... unless you see that they are the 'ball' Blue Cross & HMA are beating back&forth off the walls.
---
One thing that will benefit hospitals for sure with OObamaCRAP is the high deductibles. Hospitals generally post charges that are geared to the discounts that they give insurance plans knowing that only half of that is what is expected. Do you really think that hospitals will bill you for the correct amount or look at the windfall profit, and just grin and take it?
---
That Kansas FBI dupe..if I were a juror, and his lawyer said his client was led-by-the-hand by the FBI, and his clients really didn't know anything about explosives but was embarrassed to back out... I'd tend to believe that the FBI was more guilty than guy charged.
---
Scam Alert! There's a company trying to raise funds to market a headset/microphone device you put on your dog that allows you to understand what the dog is thinking/saying. Hmmm, sounds more like a battery operated chew toy. Besides, how many of us would really want to know what our dogs really think about us?
---
Online story: " Notre Dame won't play a Big Ten opponent in 2015, the first time that's happened in more than 100 years, but the Fighting Irish will play a home game against Boston College at Fenway Park." -- Say it ain't so, Jo....hn Henry! You know a game cannot be scheduled before November as there is always hope in Boston for a shot at the World Series, so that means a college footbal game could be played on the tender turf of a baseball field during the worst time of the year for rain/snow, and heaven knows grass in Boston isn't going to start regrowing until May/June of 2015. Add to that the field damages of temporary seating in order to raise the 37,400 limitation of baseball seating. Fenway Park may never be the same.
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he's not brooding about 2013, despite a series of setbacks." -- I suppose not! It's "us" who were discouraged and outraged by his administrations failure. To him, everything has been going according to plan.
---
CNN headline: "Obama says 2013 wasn't worst of presidency" -- Yeah, forget 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013... just wait 'til next year before judging!
---
Libs try to bash Bush's trips home to Texas as more vacation time than 00-bama.. Let's compare apples to apples..Bush owned his Texas ranch, so he didn't spend $40-$50,000 a week on vacation rental properties in Hawaii or Martha's Vineyard., nor did the property have to be "secured" anew every time like it has to be when renting a vacation escapes. Also, how come Judas 00-bama doesn't just vacation in his Chicago home? Hmmm, probably because the Secret Service won't give security clearances for his old neighbors.
---
Kathleen Sebelius says, more or less, "if we knew then what we know now... We wouldn't have launched .." . Well, Ms Sebelius, it was your JOB to know that THEN!
---
Online quote source: "“There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.” * ― Ronald Reagan " -- Hmmm, the dreaded " * " .... guess that was the designated exception for Obamarats and low info voters.
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com : "On behalf of Fast for Families, thank you" -- Hmmm, guess Judas 00-bama is doing damage control for his base that couldn't afford to put a turkey on their table at Thanksgiving...
---
Very low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " If Obamacare is so bad, why are the rich white congressmen getting it in Washington, and the white people in Georgia and Alabama don’t want it? It’s ignorance." -- You know... there IS a lot of ignorance in this "soundoff" submission.. I don't know for sure whether is fortunate or unfortunate, but the ignorance is on the submitter's part.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “The time will come when Winter will ask us: ‘What were you doing all the Summer?”’ — Bohemian proverb." -- Hmm a trick question? The responsible will answer, preparing and saving. The irresponsible will say, huh?
---
L-E headline: "Obama signals changes likely to NSA surveillance" -- The NSA says, "We already knew that".
---
L-E story: "Cuba’s top economic official says the country will eliminate a special currency designed for foreign exchange as part of a move to end the island’s unique double-currency system. * Tourists use a convertible peso equal to a U.S. dollar while most Cubans are paid in pesos worth about four cents. Many goods are easier to find in government stores that exclusively accept convertible pesos. The dual system creates privileges for those who work in tourism, and resentment from those who don’t." -- Yep.. true revelation of Communism.. all of us are equals, but some of us are more equal than others... Of course what this is about is a cash trap to see who's got the money stored. Making it illegal in the future drives the hoarders out.
---
An armed robber was killed in Phenix City by the police there. What did it take...24, 36 hours before the family of the killed robber is crying out that it was a "wrongful death". What was wrongful was the dead robber's action.
---
L-E's "Quotable": "The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much.”
William Hazlitt British author (1778-1830)" -- Wow... that's the same as the way to endure a liberal as well.
---
Some liberal columnist in the L-E is trying to defend Judas 00-bama by saying 00-bama has tried to save the 43' cross on Mount Soledad. Well, then, Judas OO-bama should back his 'words' with actions.. a simple executive order, or Constitutional override or even a pardon should do the trick.
---
Another liberal L-E columnist writes: " So who will be the Jesse Owens of the Sochi Winter Olympics? Who will be the brave athlete who shines in rebuttal to Russia’s crackdown on anything determined to be “gay propaganda.” -- I'm a little resentful that liberal columnists are piling on gay issues to the back of Jesse Owens. Owens had his on burdens and issue to overcome. Gay athletes should be resentful that liberal columnists are negating the accomplishments of gay athletes who have already proven their abilities.

I love safety, and have no qualms with programs involving making things safer for children, but I wonder if all the kids getting free bicycle helmets own bicycles.....

Remember when the culmination of a successful college football season was playing a bowl game on January 1st to end the holidays? Today, not so much....
