Random thought: You know with Hanukkah ending yesterday, there are no holidays OTHER than Christmas between now and December 25th. If you go into a store and are greeted with "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings", stop for a moment, and inquire which holiday is that person referring to. Get'em to admit/say "Christmas".

On minimum wage... since we can imagine the effect on what $15.00 per hour would do, the Republicans should pen a bill that freezes all government jobs at the pay level they are, and then raise the private sector minimum wage to $100.00 per hour and let the chips fall where they may. Most business would close immediately, and small business owners who have been providing for their future would just retire. With the elimination of nearly every other private sector job, government revenues would dry up, illegal aliens would return home voluntarily, and out of control spending for government salaries & pensions & programs would collapse, no, implode. I suspect within a year, that a whole new Congress would get elected, Judas 00-bama would get impeached AND convicted, a new sane minimum wage would be enacted, the "shutdown" illuminated non-essential jobs and programs would be eliminated, and business would crank right back up, and this country would again thrive, and our grandchildren would have a future. YEAH!

Throw in the normal Christmas seasonal help needs, and you probably have more people earning less money.
