From the "huh" department - Online story: "France's Constitutional Council gave the green light on Sunday to the government's controversial 'millionaire tax', to be levied on companies that pay salaries of more than 1 million euros ($1.38 million) a year. * President Francois Hollande has said that the wealthy should contribute more to help to repair the country's finances, arguing that the supertax should also encourage companies to curb excessive executive pay." -- "wealthy should contribute more"? "encourage companies to curb excessive executive pay"? HUH? Wouldn't curbing executive pay reduce the number of wealthy the French tax system can rape, and be counterproductive to the government's purpose?

---
Gleaned from the above story: "The Constitutional Council, a court comprising of judges and former French presidents, has the power to annul laws if they are deemed to violate the constitution." -- Good grief, can you imagine a Council with the Clintons and Judas 00-bama having lifetime opportunities to override our Constitution based on their interpretation?

---
Online headline: "California church ordered to take down sign supporting troops" -- Even with a misguided conception of what our Constitution means by separation of church and state, you would think the "state" would at least agree with the church on this one issue.

---
HuffPost story: "Earlier this year, the Republican National Committee put together a team of experts to pore over what lessons there were to learn from the GOP's electoral defeats in 2012. Together, they compiled what is officially termed the "Growth And Opportunity Project," but what has become colloquially known -- due to its thanatological study of the corpse of Mitt Romney's campaign -- as the "RNC autopsy." * "HuffPost's Sabrina Siddiqui reported", "CNN's Peter Hamby reported", " The New York Times' Robert Draper was making the rounds", " Real Clear Politics' Adam O'Neal reported", and "DNC spokesman Mike Czin" -- Hmmm, looks like the HuffPost went out of its way to avoid being anywhere near the Fox News protocol of being "fair and balanced".

L-E story: "Maryland lawmakers will look at the possibility of expanding a tax credit aimed at boosting jobs in the growing cybersecurity industry around the nation's capital, House Speaker Michael Busch (D) said. * Busch, D-Anne Arundel, said in an interview Monday with The Associated Press that a work group is due to submit recommendations soon on how to meet the growing demand for jobs in the field." -- Good grief.. Democrats know nothing about job environments NOR job creation... If there's any job segment in our country, even the world, that needs tax incentives to create/expand jobs, it's NOT the cybersecurity industry!
---
L-E story: "BP has renewed its request for a federal appeals court to permanently block settlement payments to businesses that can't trace their losses directly to the company's 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico." -- Just how did companies that CAN"T connect-the-dots get considered to begin with?

I really could care less about the outcome of the PC School Board school superintendents outcome, but... but..it does involve a lot of taxpayer dollars being wasted on could be nanny-nanny-poo-poo ego trips. The board should just put DiChiara on some sort of full time consulting duty for the last 4+ years of his contract. If DiChiara finds another opportunity elsewhere, then let him resign, buy out his contract. The taxpayers deserve grownups working for them.

Bowl recap: One SEC game... One win for the SEC . 9 more to go.

A Navy player was wrongfully ejected on the farcial "targetting"rule. I 'd rather the players wear those blow-up sumo wrestling suits than be wrongfully penalized for playing hard nose football.
---
Online story: "The 10 richest states: Maryland, New Jersey, Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, Minnesota, and Delaware." -- 9 of these states voted for Judas 00-bama... what does that tell you about the Democrats claim to be the poor man's friend, yet to whom do the Democrats pander?
---
The NY Times Benghazi "investigation" must have interviewed only Susan King about what it claims happened. You also have to wonder how invested the NYT is in Hillary's campaign ready. How can any credible news source/outlet claim a "video" was responsible?
---
Online story: "Boeing Co. told political leaders in the Puget Sound on Monday that this week's vote by Machinists will determine the fate of some jobs on the new 777X airplane. * In a press conference, local politicians gathered in Everett to discuss the importance of approving the revised contract offer. Boeing executive Ray Conner told the government leaders earlier in the day that an accepted contract will ensure that the wing work stays in the Puget Sound, but a vote to reject the deal will ensure the jobs go elsewhere." -- What is it with union bosses that doesn't understand that certain conditions have to be considered before holding on to past tactics? We had that situation here in Columbus when Dolly Madison shut down because of union tunnel-vision. Now we have Twinkies back on the shelves, but the union 'leaders' were the biggest "Twinkies" for causing the shutdown to begin with.

Online story: ""The Middle East has become a killing field for journalists. While the number of journalists killed for their work has declined in some places, the civil war in Syria (29) and a renewal of sectarian attacks in Iraq (10) have taken an agonizing toll," the committee's deputy director, Robert Mahoney, said in a statement. "The international community must prevail on all governments and armed groups to respect the civilian status of reporters and to prosecute the killers of journalists." -- What's it take for media to stop sympathizing with Islamist radicals? Our soldiers are stifled by rules of engagement brought on by media attention, yet media thinks sticking a camera or microphone in someone's face is not going to cause a violent reaction?

55 'tax breaks' expire for 2014.. Why is it on tax breaks for hard working people expire while tax credits for the not-so-industrious have a lifetime of their own?

I tell you what.. Desperation is already setting into the Democratic Party. The pleas for donation to www.barackobama/organizing for action.com and the DNC are frenzied to get a donation made by tommorow. They want, no, NEED, donations by tomorrow to boost up the faltering balance line before the 1st of January.
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: "Hal -- This can't be right. * We're just going through our records and -- even though you're one of our best supporters -- it looks like you're not a 2013 founding member." -- These guys work directly for Judas 00-bama... and you have questions about the intelligence of his hires/appointees in his White House inner circle? Extra tidbit: This is the 4th donation "request" (read "beg") I've received in the last 24 hours. I'm going to be interested at what number of people actually donated this month.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty... Good spousal "date" movie. We went expecting to see "Saving Mr. Banks" but it was sold-out, so we saw "Walter Mitty". A remake of an old classic but brought into the 21st Century. You'll feel good when you leave.

It still burns me that Jesse Jackson, who has had more media forgiveness than should be allowed by law for his own racial pot stirring , should condemn Phil Robertson on what Jackson confers is "white privilege". If there is anyone who has had a modicum of success based on "white privilege", it's Jesse Jackson. White liberals have elevated this amoral, jobless bigot to pedestal level so they can salve their self-denoted "white guilt". The saddest thing, though, is that Jesse Jackson thinks those liberals actually like and love him. Oh, they will be at his funeral, but only to make sure they don't have to cater to him anymore to relieve their self-imposed guilts.

You know, with three years to tweak the conditions of OObamaCRAP, insurance companies did not attempt to package the conditions of OObamaCRAP before the website rollout disaster. They knew they couldn't put "sh**" in a sack and sell it on merit.. this was worst than the Fanny Mae mortgage investment packages

Online story: "President Barack Obama’s nominee to head the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Civil Rights Division led the group that represents convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. * Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panther Party, was convicted for the December 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner, stemming from a shootout that resulted after Abu-Jamal approached Faulkner, who had pulled over Abu-Jamal’s younger brother at a traffic stop. * Debo Adegbile, who awaits Senate confirmation to become assistant attorney general for civil rights in Eric Holder’s DOJ, would bring a radical record on racial issues to his new job, which is responsible for enforcing federal discrimination statutes." -- You know, you cannot stop, not even ease, racial divide by accelerating 'the pendulum" so that it swings further than where it started. The DOJ's job is to STOP the pendulum in the middle, not to keep it in perpetual motiopn.

I'm curious... OSHA is fining a company $18,900.00... for what.... Was OSHA there to prevent such?.. That may have been worth $18,900.00, but fining a company, which, I'm sure, had no desire for any of its employees to be injured, much less killed on the job. Looks like OSHA should be the one getting fined for not being on the job when it mattered.

Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Mayor Tomlinson has consistently presented solutions to the city budget problems; it’s time council actually acts on them." -- Presenting service projects that have ongoing negative cash flow is the problem... the bike trail to nowhere, the natatorium that couldn't swim to begin with, the Whitewater project, the Crime Prevention projects, dog walks, buying land that could be acquired by eminent domain, paying people to kill feral hogs, and not merging the Marshal's office with the CPD are but a few.
---
Speaking of feral hogs... noticed that her contractor netted and slew 7 Saturday night.. several days before the L-E reported Mayor Obamalinson hired them. So far. they've trapped and killed 7 feral hogs..So far, that's $500.00 bucks a pop, and I'm sure we'll get a return visit from PETA. I'm curious, since the "contract" was for a fixed amount of dollars, how long will the contractor stay, and how many feral hogs will it capture and kill?
L-E story: " CASSELTON, N.D. — Authorities are evacuating part of a North Dakota town near the scene of a fiery oil train derailment.* BNSF Railway Co. says it believes about 20 cars caught fire after its oil train left the tracks about 2:10 p.m. Monday." -- Hmmm, BNSF... hey isn't that the one Warren Buffet has bought? Isn't Warren Buffet's purchase of such to ship oil the number one reason the KeystoneXL Pipeline isn't being built?
---
I see Illinois is joining the ranks of those states allowing "medical marijuana". Could it simply be that Judas OO-bama is handing out more of his type of "green" energy loans?
---
I'm proud of the L-E for trying to record the deaths of a number of prominent Columbusites over the past year... I hope the L-E will go back and do so for all the previous years it hasn't done so. History and ancestry searches in the future will be grateful for the public notation that these people were not only alive and important to Columbus, but their deaths are remembered because of their contributions to our City.

L-E story: "A LaGrange teenager was allegedly jumped late Sunday by a group of 10, including several juveniles, according to a news release. * The victim, 17, told police he had been attacked by 10 suspects, including juveniles, at the intersection of Broom and Bull Streets. * During the attack, one of the suspects allegedly struck the victim on his head with a metal pipe." -- Hmmm, a group of 10 jumps a single victim.. no mention of color of any of the attackers nor the victim. No mention of whether the victim was robbed. Sounds like a definite "hate crime", but why wasn't this mentioned?
