Online story: "New York's top court today spared FoxNews.com reporter Jana Winter from jail for refusing to reveal confidential sources for a bombshell story following the Aurora movie massacre. * The ruling spares Winter from appearing before Arapahoe County District Court Judge Carlos Samour Jr. on Jan. 3, where she would have been ordered to reveal who told her about a chilling notebook gunman James Holmes sent to his psychiatrist before the shooting in July 2012." -- There was a time I would actively applaud this ruling, but given the media's penchant for wanting to be the first to report versus the thoroughly verifying its facts before rushing to publish, this may bring a whole new level of "yellow journalism" into the picture. Now, instead of being liable for slander, journalist can spout off anything, whether truthful or verifiable, and be exempt from liability for libel.
---
From the "great example" department - Online story: " A Texas woman and former actress pleaded guilty Tuesday to sending ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, under a deal that her attorney has said would cap prison time at 18 years. * Richardson was arrested in June after authorities said she tried to implicate her estranged husband, Nathan Richardson, after he had filed for divorce. Prosecutors say Shannon Richardson mailed three letters from New Boston, outside Texarkana, then went to police and claimed that her husband had done it." -- Remeber? Tis man was raked over the coals by law enforcement and media, and will hve not only the stigma of association, but a permanent slur on the Internet.

Online headline: "Obama Takes Selfie With World Leaders At Mandela Memorial" -- No doubtingly to send over "Twitter" , making him a self-proclaimed "King Twit"
---
Hey NSA, I want 3 copies of the picture Judas 00-bama took on his cell phone!
---
Online headline: "GM to Stop Making Cars in Australia by 2017" -- I'm curious... if you have a 'leak' you wouldn't wait for 3 + years before shutting off the water or calling a plumber, so why is GM letting itself "bleed out" before stopping the damage? This looks more like some sort of political nanny-nanny-poo-poo move to get back at Australia for something.
---
Well, Judas OObama just sold off the last shares we taxpayers owned of Government Motors. This round of selling off just cost us another $10 BILLION, but seeing what GM is doing in Australia, we taxpayers may have just gotten out before more major losses hit GM. Makes our bailout losses seem futile.
---
Online headline: "Forget Smartwatches: The Future of Wearable Tech Is the Smartbra" -- Ooops, my bad... thought exhibitionist were getting a dream-come-true chance to take risque 'selfies' in public.
---
Online headline: "Virginia Law Allows Judges to Confine Prostitutes to Farm" -- Oh, brother, can't you see the "personal esteem" law suits lining up, as the convicted who are sentenced to such claim that a 'hate crime' because the judge implies they are pigs/cows?
---
Random info... You do realize that government agencies like the FBI (and some known cases of school systems) can actually activate your camera built into your computer...so can 'hackers' for that matter. While I'm not overly concerned at being a 'target', I keep a piece of electrical tape over the camera lens on my notebook 'just to feel safer". Hopefully, in the future, some manufacturer will make my phone camera have a built in lens cap/cover, too, as it's just as accessible from an outside source.

With a BCer assist for a much needed reminder of life: "“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”― Albert Einstein" -- Smile.....
---
From a fellow BCer, a good idea to pass around.. when you call the OObamaCRAP hot line (1-800- F**-Kyou) Exchange, and when you finally get to speak to a person, ask if you can exchange OObama for a better president.
---
HuffPost headline: "Bob Menendez Proposes To Girlfriend In Capitol Rotunda" -- Hmm, talk about solving and creating a major problem with one swoop. First, he eliminates a witness against him but at the same time alienates the same sex crowd...
---
From the "can't win for losing" department - It's not enough for San Francisco liberals to be limited to protesting minimum wages, now they are protesting Google, Apple, and Facebook paying their employees too much causing home prices to rise. Liberals.. you can't live with and they won't just move to a country they think America should be more like.

Was glad to see local flags back flying at full staff yesterday. While a tribute to the trials and tribulations endured by Mandela in his lifetime was appropriate, a 10 day time span was not. As recently as 10 years ago, Mandela was still railing about the US's human rights failures. This is the same guy who's spouse "necklaced" his/her enemies while he was imprisoned. If you are not familiar with "necklacing", it's a practice of wedging a tire around the body/arms of another person, dousing the tire in petrol , then lighting it up and watching a man die a torturous death for her amusement. Mandela did eventually divorce her, but she still lives today... and is free.
---
You know, Judas 09-bama is so vain that he's 100% sure his plummeting popularity is OObamaCRAP related that he's bringing in an old PR guy to fix it. All OObamaCRAP has done is bring reality to his base that none of his other ideas/deeds had been any good either. 00-bama probablt called Ron White first, but he declined... Ron White KNOWS "you can't fix.........."
---
Antarctica just reported a -135 degree temperature.. A record since such has ever been recorded. Where was Algore yesterday?
---
Yesterday, we got a Medicare query aimed at a Medicare claim filed 12 years ago by a former resident at this address. We bought this home in 2003 from the widower of this person who was selling because his wife had passed and he wanted to downsize a bit. How much fraud does get by Medicare every year?
---
Just results? Alan Grayson, irritating FL Democrat Congressman just lost about $18 Million in a ponzi scheme promoted by a close friend of his. I didn't wish him such misery, but after the rest of us who pay taxes into the government run entitlement & Social Security programs, I hope he at least understands how we feel at dealing with the government run ponzi schemes Judas 00-bama calls "investments".
---
Glad I haven't (and probably won't) sent any money to the RNCC ! The RNCC is running anti-OObamaCRAP ads with their money, and it's irritating at best. The RNCC should just let OObamaCRAP collapse under it's own weight and spend ad money promoting what's good, no, better, about Republican candidates.
---
On such... "negative ads" sorta 'work' for Obamarats, because "yellow dog Obamarats" are gonna vote fro Obamarats regardless. "Negative ads" actually work against Republicans when they use them like "carpet bombing", because too many potential supporters just get turned off and don't go to the polls to vote.

L-E story: "The director of Loving Care Senior Citizen Home was charged with intimidating or exploiting a disabled adult Dec. 4, following a Georgia Department of Community Health inspection, according to a Columbus Police report. * Police conducted an investigation... allegedly finding several violations indicating 55-year-old Sheryl Drakeford exploited disabled adults, elderly persons and residents. * Officers spoke with several patients who claimed they had not received the funds which were being channeled through Drakeford." -- This is what happens when such "businesses" pop up to take advantage of entitlement moneys available from federal & state sources without the "businesses" not being properly screened. It happens all too much in "children's daycare" as well.
---
Online story: "Xadrian McCracken may be the poster child of the dysfunction of Illinois government. Fired last year from a state job, McCracken took a senior position in July with the Illinois Department of Corrections, earning $110,000 a year. He secured the position advising on parole policy in spite of a criminal history with "at least" 24 criminal arrests." -- You know, the state of Illinois may have decided it was cheaper to put him in jail with a salary, than to pay the fare for guarding, housing, and feeding him.
---
From the "questionable timing" department - Was just notified by " that "Redbox" :Winnie Mandela" ,the movie, was available. Promo reads "Through determination and courage, Winnie Mandela survived the imprisonment of her husband, Nelson Mandela, continuous harassment by the security police, banishment to a small Free State town, betrayal by friends and allies, and more than a year in solitary confinement - all the while keeping the na..." -- Are they talking about the "necklacing" terrorist Winnie of real, or is she now going to be the persecuted Sister Teresa?
---
L-E headline: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL * MAYOR: $6.5M DEFICIT COULD MEAN CITY LAYOFFS * Tomlinson proposes cuts to city affiliates, to ask department heads, employees for ideas" -- Mayor Obamalinson's gotta be kidding me! She's talking bare bones cuts to our employees, but pushes acquiring property for money that could/should have been acquired through the eminent domain process. She's already spent all the fees Columbus can expect from WhiteWater Express rafters for the next 67 years by paying for the damages to the river banks caused by creating the whitewater course (that's in addition to the $5+ million paid into it ), and wanted to cut jobs and service for garbage pick up which would have only saved $250,00 ((about $6.00 annually per user) while cutting the efficiency of pick ups. Oh, and don't forget the new "dog park", or the deficit oriented natatorium! Is Columbus really going to re-elect this ... I don't know what to call her...
---
Another thing - I think it's time, and important that Mayor Obamalinson publish the actual revenues being received from all the SPLOST/LOSTs were are paying in addition to our taxes, The School Board needs to do the same.
---
And one more thing - Why is Mayor Obamalinson so picky about supporting the Civil War Museum, Trees Columbus, and UPtown, while throwing money into the whitewater projects that will not put new money in our coffers for more than 60 years?
---
Lowest info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Democrats have a solid grasp of reality. They just don’t have time to make Republicans understand it." -- Hmmm, I guess when Democrats spin their wheels in their own cesspool, nothing they say actually has anything it can get traction on.
---
L-E story: "he suspension of a 6-year-old boy for kissing a girl at school is raising questions about whether the peck should be considered sexual harassment. * First grader Hunter Yelton told KRDO-TV that he has a crush on a girl at school and she likes him back. * “It was during class, yeah. We were doing reading group, and I leaned over and kissed her on the hand. That’s what happened,” he said. * In recent years, Colorado and other states have been moving to relax zero-tolerance disciplinary policies blamed for increasing the dropout rate and giving students criminal records for relatively minor infractions. However, those policies have dealt mostly with safety issues, such as students fighting or bringing a replica gun to school, not sexual harassment." -- You know what the saddest thing about this story is.. not one mention of the progress the boy nor the girl has made while attending school. School Boards, andnot just this one, are focused on things other than what the students are needing to learn..... including re-elections.
---
You know, the politics invoked by the Senate to weaken the judicial selection procedure for federal judges just epitomizes the deterioration of our courts. Judges should only be focused on making sure current laws are protected, and recommending changes to them if they feel differently, but courts, well judges, should no be legislative activists from the bench.
---
L-E headline/story: "Dead dolphins in Georgia killed by measles-like virus * “Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do to stop the disease from spreading,” (state Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologist) Clay (George) said. “We can only hope that this is part of the natural cycle, and that populations will rebound to healthy levels soon.” -- Wow, what timing... this'll open the libs charitable checkbooks in a hurry!
---
L-E story: "MACON, Ga. — Macon’s zoning commission has denied an application that would have allowed a historic downtown church to be demolished to make room for a doughnut shop." -- Hmmm, I guess the Macon Zoning Commission wouldn't be able to keep a donut shop from putting up a Nativity scene, whereas an empty church would not be doing so.
---
L-E "headlie": "New incentives needed if Boeing picks Alabama" -- Political BS.. Boeing wins just by moving/building in a "right to work" state.
---
The Bowl schedule is out.. There will be 35 such events, meaning, at minimum teams ranked numbers 69 & 70 will be playing post season foot ball. On the bright side, of the 35 games scheduled.. SEC teams will participate in 10 of those. SEC BCS championships are not a fluke.
