From the "obvious media bias" department - Online headline: "Obama warily puts immigration plans on hold
The president said he disagrees with the ruling by Judge Andrew Hanen to stall deportation-relief efforts. But that he must abide by it." -- "must abide by it"? Good grief.. "it" is a Constitutional issue... Obamageddon is sworn to UPHOLD, to live by Constitutional issues.. not try to get around them!

Yesterday, I pointed out that " 336 programs approved by the Board of Regents in the past 10 years, just 163, or 49 percent, met or exceeded projected enrollment by their third year". Now, what I didn't see was that the Board of Regents had either eliminated (or even initiated a program to do so) any of what has to be unnecessary professorial and support positions. I think back and how braggadocios CSU's Dr Mescon was at trumpeting huge enrolment numbers (with a caveat that 1,000 were shipped over to Columbus Tech for remedial classes) , then got pretty silent about such the last 3 or 4 years he was here. What are the numbers now, and do they justify the over building of CSU in downtown?

You know... Obamageddon claims to have been a college professor.. well, actually an associate professor, of Constitutional law. Heaven help the clients of his previous students.

Online story: "The Clinton Foundation reportedly is seeing an increase in contributions from foreign governments after ending a self-imposed ban on such donations, raising new ethical questions as Hillary Clinton prepares for a possible 2016 presidential campaign. * According to The Wall Street Journal, which cited the foundation's online database, recent donors to the foundation include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Oman, Australia, Germany, and a Canadian government agency promoting construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. * The foundation instituted a foreign gifts ban in 2009 after Hilllary Clinton was named Secretary of State by President Barack Obama. * Ethics experts have told the Journal that the Foundation should re-imposed its ban while Hillary Clinton considers a possible White House bid." -- "Ethics experts...foundation should re-impose its ban"? Good grief... when has either Clinton been concerned about "ethics"? What should be "imposed" is a national policy prohibiting any country receiving any aid.. whether cash support or trade agreements, from contributing to any US foundation... period! How ethical is it for a country to receive US assistance then turn around and give a donation to an American? That use to be called "bribery".

Timely reminder from a fellow BCer: ""My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I'm glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know…the remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn't do that and I'm proud of that. Very proud. I would say that's a major accomplishment." - Hillary Clinton, 11 March 2014" -- Still waiting for even a mainstream media explanation... interpretation of what she said/meant.. Even Josh Earnest would have a hard time "spinning" this.
--
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Holder: Moratorium On Death Penalty 'Would Be Appropriate' -- Good grief.. how can the US Attorney General basically deem "justice" not be administered?
---
You know...how can the DOJ even think about appealing a federal judge's order to stop the Executive Order of Obamageddon? First, Obamageddon has skirted Congressional power, and now, the DOJ says it's appealing the judiciary sector from upholding the Constitutional powers granted specifically to Congress. Despotism run amok!
---
You know..why is it that the DOJ says it will jump right into an appeal of a federal judge's order to stop an unconstitutional Presidential Executive Order, yet hasn't had the time to jump into investigating the IRS scandals?
---
HuffPOO headline: "Icy Storm Pummels Eastern United States, More Cold To Come" -- Hmmm... now maybe there'll liberals willing to support the oil industry... heating fuel for their homes, and gasoline for their vehicles since I don't think those who have solar energy heating at their homes or electric cars will fare well from continue ice/snow storms... even coal may start looking good again.
---
Online story: "During Monday evening's "Hardball With Chris Matthews," State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf outlined a new plan to stop the terrorist group, saying "We're killing a lot of them, and we're going to keep killing more of them. [...] But we cannot win this war by killing them. We need to [...] help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people." -- "Marie Harf"? How about Marie BARF!.. It''s comical.. even desperate, that Barf would mention White House policy and creating jobs in the same sentence.. room, even.
---
So Bleep Veep Biden administered the oath to new Secretary of Defense Ash Carter..you have to wonder if there were any "f" words included.
---
New Jersey had a record low temp that lowered the old record set in 1904...hmmm..that global warming claims of Algore et al would probably feel good to most New Jerseyites about now.
---
You know...the issue about "equal pay" for equal jobs never throws what a person is willing to do a job, accept a job, for what wage, into the formula.
---
You know.. there'll be a future "Black History Month" that will want to eliminate highlighting Obamageddon's presidency..

Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "“Our” canal and Gitmo? Guantanamo and the Canal are in other nations. In any case, the canal was to return to Panama, per original treaty, in 1999, and Gitmo is being leased for 4K/year." -- Hmmm... oh.. the Panama Treaty signed by Carter and Torrijos who seized power via a coup, and Gitmo, which is controlled by 1903 and 1934 treaties that were signed by official pre-coup government officials?
---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Go to the MCSD website, click on About Us, click on Financial Information, find the budgets and the Comprehensive Financial Reports, the internal and external audits. Do we need another external audit? I think not." -- Good grief.. will the L-E screen out soundoff entries from emails end in @mcsdga.net? You know... only people with something to hide would be so anti-forensic audit....

L-E headline/story: "Superintendent: Prioritizing SPLOST projects might not happen before vote * Although he still favors prioritizing the capital projects that would be funded by the proposed sales tax, Superintendent David Lewis said during Tuesday night’s public forum that the language in the ballot might prevent the Muscogee County School Board from doing so before next month’s referendum, and certainly before early voting starts next week" -- Just another reason to vote "No Confidence"... When you think about it.. how can a list of projects be determined without specific costs and goals being set? Isn't it sorta suspicious that Dr Lewis uses his interpretation of state law to avoid debate or clarification of priorities, yet has no problem promising anybody who will listen that the SPLOST has something in it for them? Nah... it's actually VERY SUSPICIOUS...
---
From L-E story above: " One of the questions during Tuesday night’s forum at Shaw High School, anonymously written on the cards read by the district’s communications director Valerie Fuller, asked when the board will discuss and vote onprioritizing the proposed projects." -- "anonymously written"? What did the L-E reporter expect.. that actual questions would be read? If these forums were valid, real people would be able to stand up, be recognized, and ask real questions of interest to the voters.
---
From the above L-E story: "Reached by phone for his reaction, board chairman Rob Varner of District 5 said, “It’s difficult to speak to that question when you’re really speaking in such a hypothetical environment. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to go to that level of detail when you have a five-year period of time and so much depends on sales tax revenue and economic environment and school needs. So many variables can change. So for the board to comment on that, it would just be folly." -- Here's a question of priorities the L-Ehould ask Varner.. will the banks getting their $4,000.000.00 be at the top of the liost or depend on whether enough revenues are generated?
---
From the above L-E story: " Lewis clarified his comments in an interview after the forum * "We still are going to prioritize in terms of conceptually, but the question was concerned more if we don’t have the money,” he said. “What we think, at our worst, most dire economic conditions over the last five years, we realized $194 million. So we think $192 million is going to cover all of our projects.” -- In a January meeting, it was shown on a visual that "only" $174,000,000.00 was generated by the sales tax.. other funding brought it up to $194M which was still $29,000,000.00 short od funding all the promises made to special issue voters.
----
From above story: " Lewis said he wants to check with board attorney Greg Ellington to better understand how the ballot’s wording would affect prioritizing the projects. Ellington wasn’t reached for comment" -- Hmmm.. perhaps Ellison didn't want to be held accountable for perjury if he supported Lewis' position...
---
The reason Dr Lewis and the MCSD Board won't set a list of priorities is that they know many of the special issue groups will not like where their projects stand in importance.. and they will not support the SPLOST being at the bottom of the lists.. mainly because the bottom priorities will not get funded as revenues will not come it at the non-realistic goal of $192 Million.
---
L-E headline/story: "GEORGIA FOOTBALL * Georgia planning expensive indoor facility * Project could cost $30 million * “We have one chance to get it right,” McGarity said to reporters after the meeting. “We do not want to compromise. This building will be here forever. So you have to think that way.” -- "this building will be here forever"? Hey, how come we don't hire Greg McGarity to oversee all the construction of MCSD and City buildings?
---
L-E headline: "LITHO-KROME PLANT CLOSING IN COLUMBUS, 50 JOBS LOST" -- You know.. this is a bitter pill to swallow.. Litho-Krome was an 80+ year old Columbus institution and world leader in the advancement of graphics. Even 15 years ago, Litho-Krome was the home for 275 Columbus workers, and now only an empty building will be it's marker in history. Good-bye, friend...
---
Dueling business page headlines in the L-E: "LITHO-KROME PLANT CLOSING IN COLUMBUS, 50 JOBS LOST"; "Homebuilder confidence slides in February"; " N.Y. MANUFACTURING GROWS AT SLOWER PACE IN FEBRUARY"; "BURGER KING, TIM HORTONS PARENT REPORTS LOSS ON DEA" -- And, coupled with the Ft Benning dilemma, our MCSD Board and system sees sales tax revenues escalating in the next 5 years... good grief.. what are they teaching our children!
