Online headline: "Blizzard set to rage in Northeast yet again * Valentine's
Day weekend is set to be a bitterly cold and snowy one for the already
snow-weary residents of New England." -- Hey, Algore...Obamageddon..God wants
you to know Who's in charge...
---
NBC's Williams..CBS' Simon..NYT's Carr.. liberalism is losing leaders
faster than ISIS.

Online story: "A federal judge ordered a county official in Alabama to
issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples Thursday, saying they can no longer
ignore her earlier ruling that struck down the state's marriage equality ban. --
Why doesn't the US Supreme Court issue a moratorium on lower federal courts
hearing/ruling on same sex marriage issues. The issue is about states' rights
under the US Constitution, and the issue is on the current docket to be decided
this term. Lower court judges are "grandstanding" ..seeking a personal
spotlight.., and to me, that's not a decent trait for an appointed judge.

Online headline: "Obama tackles unprecedented attacks on US * The president
flew to California on Friday in hopes of getting help from the private sector to
prevent potentially crippling threats." -- Good grief.. ISIS is in the
Middle-East, and HEBDObama flies to California to talk with cyber-geeks.. what
HEBDObama wanting... inside tips for winning "Call of Duty-Advanced
Warfare"?
---
Online headline: "Government shutdown might be unavoidable" -- Hmmm.. from
looking at what we have seen for the past 6 years.. a government shutdown would
do us good... wonder if Boehner can add our MCSD board to the list of
"shutdowns"?

Will Smith on responsibility and racism: "The change that has to happen is
about to be so brutal and so painful. It’s not unlike the sixties. I think
there’s actually a deeper issue at play that America is going to have to face.
What we’re really talking about in this issue is people walking around the
street with guns that can make a decision whether or not they’re going to kill
someone, right? And that’s even more difficult, because there’s really no way
back from that. This is a gun culture. And it’s painful for me, because I cannot
figure out how to be helpful. I’ve always been telling my sons, We have to
separate fault from responsibility—whose fault it is that black men are in this
situation, whose fault it is doesn’t matter. It’s our responsibility to make it
go right. It’s our responsibility. It’s a lot of people’s fault, systemic
racism, and it’s a lot of people’s fault that the black community is in the
situation that we’re in, but it’s our responsibility to clean up the mess." --
Hmmm, you can bet Al Sharlatan will not ask Will Smith to be on his "Talk and
Talk and Talk Show", get invited back to the White House, be elected to head the
NAACP, or be invited to Pric Holder's going-away-party.

Online headline/story: "United Won't Honor 'to Good to be True' Airfare
Deal * if you are one of the thousands who nabbed first-class United tickets,
for example, from London to Newark for a whopping $70, well, tough luck. *
United Airlines issued a statement saying it wouldn't honor those thousands of
bookings by individuals who were, "attempting to take advantage of an error a
third-party software provider made when it applied an incorrect currency
exchange rate, despite United having properly filed its fares." -- Hmmm.. 1,000s
looking to fly were fortunate to get better-than-great-deals, and United just
squashed their optimism. Not a good move, United.. Now.. MILLIONS&MILLIONS
know United is not consumer friendly, and many will never book a flight on
another United flight. Hey, United.. ever hear the adage, "If life gives you
lemons, make lemonade."? United could have least offered to put all those
bungled tickets in a box, and pull out a hundred or so names and give them a
"free flight" to their destination of choice.

Online headline: "Obama blasts Staples CEO for Obamacare pan" -- Hmmm,
wanna bet the CEO of Staples had some choice words about Obama and OObamaCRAP as
well?

Online quote source: "“Real generosity is doing something nice for someone
who will never find out.” - Frank A. Clark " -- It's a lead-pipe cinch that this
saying is not hanging on the walls of Georgia's Democrat Congressman Sanford
Bishop. Bishop shows up everywhere he's gotten pork to hand out an oversized
check in a photo-op. I think he wants people to think the money has come out of
his own pocket.

Online story: "Reversing a disgusting betrayal by the Obama Administration,
the United States Army told Congress yesterday they were classifying the 2009
Fort Hood massacre an “act of terror” rather than “workplace violence.” * The
change in status allows the victims and their families to receive much-needed
benefits and recognition they had been denied. The Army will award purple hearts
to the 32 wounded and posthumously to the 13 dead and medical care and other
benefits provided to terrorist victims will be available. " -- This is what
"taking care of our soldiers" is about... not swapping 5 terrorists for a
deserter.

In 2012, (_*_)ley Judd, said she thought Obama was “a powerful leader,” and
a “brilliant man,” who “has an incredible devotion to our Constitution.” Now
she's saying "Obviously, I love Hillary Rodham Clinton. I think she might be the
most overqualified candidate we’ve had since — you know, Thomas Jefferson or
George Washington." -- All I can think of is that Judd feels we operate under
the constitution of Marxism...
---
Online story: "Democratic Party Congressman from NY, Charlie Rangel posted
a Twitter message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday that
sounded like he was challenging him to a fistfight behind the bus stop after
school." -- Good grief.. how can I get the booking rights to this event? Once
again I ask... how can the Jewish community still support the Democratic
Party?
---
Online story: Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch was a sorority sister
of Sharon Malone, Attorney General Eric Holder's wife. -- Whoa.. I take back
what I said earlier about Republicans just confirming her as fast as possible
just to get Holder out of the DOJ. Confirming Lynch would be like reappointing
Holder after he develops PMS.
---
Online headline: "Obama ISIS war plan is still missing key part" -- Yeah...
an actual plan; much like the MCSD 2015 Project lists we're being asked to
approve.

L-E headline/story: "Lewis links MCSD raises to voters renewing SPLOST *
(Dr. David) Lewis told about 60 folks during the public forum in the Fort Middle
School library Thursday night that he intends to ask the Muscogee County School
Board to consider a compensation plan that includes raises. Although the Special
Purpose Local Option Sales Tax can’t be used for operations or personnel costs,
passing the March 17 referendum will allow the district to collect an estimated
$192,185,000 in 1 percent sales taxes over five years for 24 proposed capital
projects. That could free up general fund money for other uses, such as raises,
Lewis said." -- As Robin might explode, "Holy Batcrap!" The "PROBLEM" is that
the elected school boards since 1993 have allowed the school system budget to
consume 85% of it's revenues going towards salaries and benefits. Unfortunately,
the MCSD system does not get all the funding in can from the state bnecause the
MCSD has too many schools that don't have enough enrolment to qualify for state
funding so "we" (local taxpayers) have our local tax contribution eaten up
supplementing unnecessary jobs for school administrative jobs that shouldn't
even exist.. Currently, there are 127 empty classrooms (3,200 to 3800 - more
than 10% of our current public school students student capacity) throughout our
school system.. that's equivalent to keeping 4-6 empty schools open and staffed
without any state funding. We don't need any new school buildings when students
can be reassigned/consolidated into fewer existing schools.
---
Promising "goodies" and raises to get the SPLOST passed...it's quite
obvious that Dr Lewis is going to pit "them" (teachers/staff) against "us"
(taxpayers), and South Columbus against North Columbus. Shame on Dr Lewis!
---
L-E's "Quotable": “Without craftsmanship, inspiration is a mere reed shaken
in the wind.” - Johannes Brahms German composer (1833-1897)" -- You know.. this
so points out the failures of our school system..thinking... no, "feeling" that
all problems will get solved simply by throwing more.. and GOOD.. money into a
bad situation. The School Board should be focused on improving the efficiency of
the revenues available and on hand... using the existing facilities is being
responsible.. not building new ones that aren't necessary to house the number of
students in the system.
