Online headline: "‘KILL OUR PILOT AND WE’LL EXECUTE ALL YOUR PRISONERS': JORDAN ‘SAYS IT WILL HANG ITS ISIS CAPTIVES’ IF AIRMAN HOSTAGE IS DEAD" -- Hmmm. at least one country's president "has a set"... our's would have sent them the keys to Gitmo.
---
A fellow BCer sent a site that ranks the capacity of most football fields-- Everbank Field in Jacksonville is the 27th largest and has the distinction of hosting the Jaguars, the Gator Bowl, and the annual GA-FL game.. the last must be waning as it is described thus: " formerly known as The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party". Wha' happened?

One if the most compelling SPLOST items is the one addressing autistic needs. Unfortunately, the $4 Million dollar amount seems to be just a broad stroke without revealing what will actually be done, and is $4 Million truly enough for future years. I hate that one group had been suckered in by false sympathy since no plan has actually been spelled out.

With the exceptions of Frank Myers and John Thomas, the rest of the School Board, and the School System executive office are more unstable than the ground at Spencer. Let's add one more item to the SPLOST bill..item 25, replace the other 7 MCSD Board members and the School System executive officers with new ones.

You know the basic difference between most of the projects in the new proposed SPLOST and the first 3? The First three mainly built things.. this one is trying to repair and fix those buildings. Unfortunately, the GA SPLOST laws say SPLOST money/projects cannot be used for maintenance nor operations.

L-E headline: "Ga. Democrats re-elect party chairman" -- Hmmm... confirmation of "insanity".. you know.. doing the same thing and expecting different results?
---
Gets it L-E "soundoff": " Why should citizens pay more taxes because they bought houses? We all use garbage, fire and other services equally. Make everyone pay an equal services fee and eliminate property taxes." -- One thing I would add is that let there be a differential based on actually land value, but all residential structures should be calculated purely on the square footage of such. Two 2,000 square foot homes are going to produce similar waste/trash regardless of whether the build-out is basic or extravagant.
---
Jonathan Gruber stupid L-E "soundoff": "What an informative article by Mark Rice. Yes to the SPLOST and no to the forensic audit." -- Here are some figures not disclosed:
Here is the chart for the past 18 years.. student levels are now less today than 18 years ago:
Instruction costs have escalated by 80%
Pupil Services have increased but 7% in 18 years.
Staff Services have increased by 264%
General Administrative costs have escalated by 261%
School Administration has increased 200%

Has anybody seen Judy Thomas? I saw her at a funeral the other day, but the person I saw looked like she didn't recognize me..(Maybe it was her "evil twin") I've tried to get her attention/response on why (after she built her re-election campaign on returning the 1st Floor parking at the Government Service Center to the public) there are now 10 "Reserved for Government Service Center Personnel" spaces on the 1st Floor. It's bad enough, but on top of that, the spaces are reserved by a number, not the names of the employees so we know who thinks they are so privileged.
---
You know.. next year's Super Bowl will be the 50th... somehow.. "L" doesn't look so attractive to market "goods" as "XLIX"
---
L-E headline: "Ledger-Enquirer's move: Dawn of a new era" -- "Dawn"? .....dusk...
