Online headline/story: "Iceland To Get Its First Norse Temple In 1,000
Years * The Reykjavik City Council has donated land for the temple, but the
group has to raise nearly $1 million for the building itself," -- Good grief...
buildings that last 1,000 years and can still be built for $1,000,000.00... hey,
how come our School Board and City Council don't give construct contracts to
these guys?

How are Obamageddon and Earnest going to explain ISIS's burning the
Jordanian alive...a backyard barbeque gone bad?
---
Online headline: "Jordan executes 2 al-Qaida prisoners after ISIS kills
pilot" -- Hmmm... Jordan's King has a set... ours is transgendered... Hey... why
doesn't our military just release all the remain Gitmo terrorists to Jordan so
King Abdullah II has more pawns to retaliate when ISIS rears its ugly head?
Hmmm..or, as a cost saving alternative.. our military could "out source" guards
at Gitmo to King Abndullah II. He could assign Jordanian pilots to guard the
terrorists for a week or so, and we'd be rid of the responsibility within that
time frame.

Online story: "Scientists have identified the oldest living species on
Earth is a deep sea organism that hasn't evolved in more than two billion years.
And, it may prove Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution. * "If they were in an
environment that did not change but they nevertheless evolved, that would have
shown that our understanding of Darwinian evolution was seriously flawed. The
rule of biology is not to evolve unless the physical or biological environment
changes, which is consistent with Darwin," Schopf added." -- On the other
hand.."evolving" is probably God's way of tweaking His creations to make life
better on Earth.

Online headline: "Republicans challenge Obama on all fronts" -- Yeah...
Obamageddon changes his "front" so often and so fast, Republicans cannot pin him
down on one...
---
Online story: "Suburban Philadelphia's Bryn Mawr College is now offering an
apology for an email that's been called "fat shaming." * In a recent message to
students - titled "Give a HOOT!" - the women's liberal arts college invited
students with "elevated BMIs," or body-mass indexes, to join a "weight loss
success program." * The 100 students who received the email were reportedly
selected using records from the college's health center, which some saw as an
invasion of privacy." -- Ah! so now liberals offer a "Stepford Wives
Course"...

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Arrest Warrant For Argentine President Found At Dead
Prosecutor's Home" -- Hmmm sounds a little like some of the Clintons' antics...
---
Online headline: "Black Caucus Planning Revolt Against Pelosi" -- Hey...
diversity may finally be happening... Republicans have always found Pelosi
"revolting", and now Democrats are waking up...

Online "headlie": "AutoNation CEO: It’s a goldilocks period for auto sales"
-- Well.. there are a lot of cars that are "too small", some that are so-so, but
none that are bog enough to be "just right".

Online story: "Guns are in such short supply at the Border Patrol that one
agent told FoxNews.com 400 agents share just 100 rifles at his station. * The
lack of weapons is more than just a nuisance, according to law enforcement
authorities, who say each agent should be able to calibrate his or her gun to
individual preferences, a process they call "zeroing." * “We are left to check
out rifles that were unzeroed to us," a border patrol agent told FoxNews.com.
"This practice needs to be outlawed, as it could cost someone their life." --
Good grief.. the DOJ sold guns to the Mexican cartels which are now better
equipped than our own Border Patrol.. confirm Lynch now... get Holder out of
there, then worry about Lynch.

From the minutes of the August 29, 2013 2009 SPLOST Committee meeting:
"(David Lewis) praise MCSD and the citizens for the passage of the SPLOST, which
allows us to continue to fund our public schools at this level. He expressed the
importance of continuing to advocate for SPLOST, especially in light o0f the
reduced funding from the state. Our buildings will continually need
upgrades/maintenance, and technology will be ongoing throughout the district,
including a change to digital capabilities for all our students. These are
constant needs that won't be realized without funds." -- "Our buildings will
continually need upgrades/maintenance"? Hmmm.. so Dr Lewis has planned to use
the 2015 SPLOST as a maintenance slush fund all along.. Well.. GA Law says, "The
revenue generated (from SPLOST revenues) cannot be used towards operating
expenses or most maintenance projects... Ladies/Gents.. call, write, e-mail your
representatives about stopping this vote.
From same set of minutes as above: " Mr. (Ricky) Harrow (2009 SPLOST
Committee member) asked about the need to replace Spencer High. Mr (Bobby) Hecht
(architect) explained that the school was built on plastic soils which expand
and contract based on moisture content of the soil. We have an engineer that has
placed monitors in several locations at Spencer. The monitors have shown very
minor movements, both expansion and contraction, which is what they would
expect. It is nothing that compromises the structure of the building." --
"nothing that compromises the structure of the building"? Then why does Lewis
want to tear it down and build a new one for $56,000,000.00? I agree with
Hecht's assessment.. I've been on the Spencer campus several time during the 18
months since that 2009 SPLOST Committee meeting, and have seen nothing that
wasn't "fixable" with a consistent maintenance program.. Once again I say, if
Spencer was in need of being razed, then the students there should simply be
reassigned to the other high schools in Columbus.. there is already room to take
them in, and the student count is not rising. Columbus doesn't actually need a
new high school structure. The MCSD just needs to take care of what we
have.

Listening to Admiral Kirby tiptoe around the questions about the ISIS
murder of the Jordanian pilot made me wonder if he's next in line to take over
Josh Earnest's job. We can only hope ISIS's satellite TV's were experiencing
"technical difficulty" and didn't get a morale boost.

Coupled with her pleading the 5th on her actions as an IRS executive, the
recovered "lost" emails should be the nails in Lois Lerner's coffin. Revoke her
pension!

The Measles outbreak has been zeroed down to starting at Disneyland. One
daycare , on the campus of Santa Monica High School has 14 of 26 children in
quarantine....huh? Theoretically, children in high school daycare could go to
Pre-K while their mothers are seniors... will they "walk" and get diplomas at
graduation, too?
---
While it's not something that disqualifies a school board candidate/member,
it should be a requirement that candidates/members of the MCSD Board inform the
public about where their children attend school. Personally, I have problems
with board members not having their children in the public school system who
aren't fighting for accountability .

Harvard & Stanford lawyers have released an opinion poll stating that
higher the court level, the more conservative the judges are. Could it be higher
level judges have been rewarded for their wisdom, or simply that Harvard &
Stanford lawyers deem everybody to the right of Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein
are right wingers?

Jonathan Gruber dysfunctionally stupid L-E "soundoff": " Republicans are
right — we need a simpler tax code. Abolish the 17,000 pages of loopholes for
the rich. They can pay 34 percent like the rest of us." -- "34 percent... like
the rest of us"? This guy must get paid in Kool-Aid IV bottles!

If you had a choice on a multiple choice question about which entity is
more likely to be telling a lie, would you choose A- Fox News, or B- The White

L-E story: " If Robert Denham’s plan works out, he will be operating a
helicopter touring company on the Chattahoochee River sometime this summer. *
Phenix City Council on Tuesday approved the use of an existing concrete slab at
903 Fifth Ave. — just south of the Dillingham Street bridge across from McCarley
Transmission — as a landing pad." -- Could be an interesting summer.. Helicopter
vs Zip-Line.. sorta an in-air version of "Frogger".

Open Record request sent to the MCSD:
I'd like a text based list of the actual projects that add up to the
$3,500,000.00 proposed in the Preliminary List of 2015 SPLOST concerning
retrofitting "some schools to add programming for autistic students.
Thanks in advance.
