HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "White House renames Mount McKinley as Denali on eve of trip" -- To paraphrase an excerpt from Joel Chandler Harris' classic "Br'er Rabbit and the Tarbaby" ..."Ols White House,, he just sits there and don't say nothing".. Good grief.. the White House is inanimate.. What we have is Br'er Obamageddon in "God mode"... just sitting back in his easy chair naming things as he sees them.. well, two can play that game.. I'm going to rename the president "Despot".

---
Online headline: "ISIS bombs and destroys ancient Syrian temple * Activists said Sunday that Islamic State militants severely damaged the Bel Temple, considered one of the greatest sites of the ancient world. * 'It is total destruction'" -- Wonder if Obamageddon can finally muster up a muffled "terrorist" label for ISIS? Of course, torn about is fair play.. I say let's implode all Mosques built within a two mile radius of where the World Trade Towers sat until 9-11-01.

---
Online headline: "Poll: Support for Hillary Clinton drops to new low" -- Among who.. mainscream media? In my book, even the current percentages are inflated.  You know... what's really sad is when she ran for Senate, she chose to set up residency in New York because... she could not have gotten elected running for office in Arkansas

---
Online headline: "University of Texas removes Jefferson Davis statue" -- Hmmm.. and what will Obamageddon do when the LBBTQIA crowd petitions to have the Washington Monument removed from the Mall.. because Washington was straight?

---
Online headline/story: "These could be the next states to legalize marijuana * California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont." -- Hmmm .. all look like they voted for Obamagedden in 2008 and 2012.. Guess the Democratic Party figures that the only way to rally the troops for Porkchop HILL in 2016 is to get them stoned.

---
Online headline: "Police investigate motive in ambush of Houston area deputy" -- "investigate motive"?  Good grief.. anybody who ever played "Clue" knows the answer to this: (_*_), in the gas station , with racism/hatred.

---
Online story: "Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley is facing questions about whether he violated state ethics rules when buying furniture from the governor’s mansion at cut-rate prices before his departure. * O'Malley and his wife, Catherine O'Malley, reportedly paid $9,638 for 54 pieces of furniture that originally cost taxpayers $62,000. * According to the inventory list, the O'Malleys paid $449 for a leather couch that the state bought in 2007 for $2,247; $739 for an armoire that the state paid $3,695 for in 2007; and $764 for a second armoire that the state paid $3,822 for in 2007" -- What is it with Democrats feeling tax dollars are their own? The Clintons took tons of White House furniture with them until it became a mainscream media frenzy,. I guess the O'Malleys were practicing in case they made it to thWhite House.

---
Online story: "The new domestic terrorist group ” Black Lives Matter” is spewing their anti-cop hate again in the classiest way they know how. Just a few hours after 47 year-old Harris County, Tex. sheriff’s deputy Darren Goforth was ambushed and executed at a gas station, the hate group took the streets to protest/celebrate. * If that wasn’t disgraceful enough, the protesters began chanting violent anti-cop rhetoric such as “PIGS IN A BLANKET, FRY EM LIKE BACON”. " -- You know.. there's about to be a new movement .. While "Black Lives Matter" as do all lives, "black opinion" is taking a whole different route.

---
With an assist from a fellow BCer- Online story: "State legislators in both houses have passed a bill banning people from posing for photos while hugging, patting or otherwise touching tigers in New York state." -- Meanwhile back in the city, police officers cannot stop and frisk known street thugs/gang members...

---
L-E headline: "Sanford Bishop, others to tackle issues with military families at summit" -- Good grief.. hope our military families fare better than our farming families Congressman Bishop has "'helped".

---
Jonathan Gruber double-extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The MCSD board and administration was accountable, is presently accountable, and will be accountable with or, hopefully, without Myers and Thomas. They are not beating a dead horse; they are beating an imaginary horse." -- The L-E should screen MCSD/MCSB email addresses from submitting "soundoff".. Mr Myers and Mr Thomas were overwhelming elected by the knowledgeable voters in their disticts. Thank heavens their predecessors were removed!

---
L-E story: "Sigmund Rolat, is an 85-year-old Polish-American businessman and philanthropist on a mission. He aims to build a memorial in heart of Warsaw’s former ghetto to his beloved Elka and the thousands of other Polish Christians who risked their lives for Jews during World War II." -- Well, we know we won't ever see such a memorial dedicated to Muslims who stepped up and saved Jews AND Christians.

---

L-E headline: "Maggert wins Dick’s Sporting Goods Open" -- Good grief.. Larry Mize, Columbus resident and philanthropist as well as the 1987 Masters Champion tied for 8th place at -9 after rounds of 72-67-68.. did not get a mention in his hometown newspaper... pathetic... For the rest of us, "Congratulations, Larry!

Online headline: "Teen stabs his mom 100 times then throws a party with corpse in the room * A 16-year-old Miami boy violently murdered his mother and then threw a house party with her body still laying in her bedroom in 2012. On Friday, the now 19-year-old Kit Darrant pleaded guilty to the murder and was given a 28-year prison sentence." -- Hey, Obamageddon, you, too, Al Sharlatan.. thought you said, "Black Lives Matter"... why aren't you protesting this matricidal ogre being sentenced to less than life without parole?

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Kris Jenner sets the record straight" -- Good grief.. there is nothing "straight" in that family...

---
From "the most asinine question in a HuffPOOPOO headline" department: "Did Hillary Clinton know emails on server were classified?" -- Good grief.. Porkchop HILL is HuffPOOPOO's "smartest woman in the world"... Of course she knew!

---
Online headline: "Wyoming man files suit over massive EPA fines for building pond *  A rancher is taking the Environmental Protection Agency to federal court, asking a judge to stop the agency from fining him more than $16 million because he built a small pond on his property * he made sure to get the proper permits from his state government before building the pond.* the EPA determined his small pond -- technically a "stock pond" to provide better access to water for animals on his ranch -- is somehow violating the federal Clean Water Act. " -- "violating the federal Clean Water Act"? ..You have to be kidding me! We're talking about the same EPA which unleashed millions of gallons of metal infused water into the Colorado River then claimed it wasn't toxic..

---
Online headline: "Trump rips into 'sleazebag perv' Anthony Weiner * On Friday, the GOP candidate took aim at top Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her husband Weiner, who was caught in a sexting scandal in 2011. * 'He should be ashamed of himself'" -- Hmmm... more importantly, Porkchop HILL should have been ashamed of him and not put him on her payroll.

---
You know, being a "die hard Brave fan" is taking on a new meaning...

---
Online story: "Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is continuing to gain on Hillary Clinton in Iowa, and is now within 7 points of the frontrunner in the Democratic presidential race, according to a newly released poll. * Clinton remains the first choice of 37 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers, while sanders is the pick for 30 percent, according to the Des Moines " -- Hmm only a 7 point lead over Bernie Sanders... who'da thunk that Democrats would rally behind a candidate who tells the truth.. Bernie freely admits he's a Socialist.

---
Online story: "A cousin of “El Chapo” Guzman, one of the world’s most notorious drug lords who prosecutors say was working to distribute cocaine in the United States has been sentenced in a New Hampshire court to 16 years in federal prison. * Gutierrez-Guzman also was fined $10,000. Acting U.S. Attorney Donald Feith said he will be deported to Mexico upon his release." -- Is this the beginning of a sequel to Uncle Remus books? Seriously.. a $10K fine, 16 years for a crime Obamageddon considers non-violent, and deportation? I bet the office pools at "El Chapo's" headquarters are already filled out for when he'll escape/be out on good behavior, and when he illegally crosses back across the border.. I can hear him now... "Please Br'er Obamageddon, please don't throw me back across the border."

---
It's amazing that Democrats quickly call Republicans "terrorists", yet hem-haw.. mumble if you ask them whether members of ISIS are terrorists..

---
L-E story: "The way Clay Dickey sees it, Columbus is -- hands down -- the only place he and his athletes want to be. * That's a great thing, considering over the upcoming Labor Day weekend, there will be up to 8,000 people visiting Columbus to participate in Dickey's Black Softball Circuit competition or watch the players in action. * That equates to 150 teams filling about 1,200 hotel rooms across the city for an economic impact topping $1 million. --  Something doesn't "add up" here.. 1200 rooms for 150 teams is about 8 rooms per team... 1200 rooms for 8000 people is 6 or 7 people per room. but who questions government "facts". Bottom line is that this is another segregated, exclusionary event.. guess "Green Money Matters".. no matter what the cost to the reputation of our City for allowing such exclusionary events.. Where is the "defense" for keeping a "KKK Softball" event out of Columbus?

---
What's the Columbus L-E doing.. doubling down to make sue the world knows how segregation is being promoted in Columbus? Not only is the above item sitting on the front page "above the fold", but the Sunday interview is with a long time "stalwart" who blatantly says "Integration basically destroyed the black (Liberty District) area" and "We don’t put on “Guys and Dolls” and “Oklahoma.” We put on “The Wiz,” “Flyin’ West.” We put on shows that we can use some of our people to be in the cast."

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-double extra stupid (with cherry-on-top) LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Whether it’s terrorism, racism, fanaticism, hate, despondency, lunacy, alcoholism, drugs, anger, passion, schizophrenia, mental illness or accidental, there’s always one common denominator: Guns, guns, and more guns." -- Good grief.. if there is one common denominator, it's politically correct liberalism that prohibits common sense solutions.. as soon as a workable solution that would solve this is proposed, liberals protest that the criminals  actually become the victims of environment, racism or mental health issues and we can't hold them responsible or accountable.

---
Another Jonathan Gruber extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Mr. Trump, with your expertise, it should be a simple matter to construct a wall separating the U.S. and Mexico. Expert advice is available from designers of the Berlin Wall experience. That worked out well." -- Good grief.. there's a mighty big difference.. the Berlin Wall was built to fence people in, the Mexican border wall needs to be built to fence people OUT!

---
L-E story: "Disease and suicide are claiming inmates on Alabama’s death row faster than the executioner." -- You can talk about what will slow down, possibly end, the rampant violence on the streets, and this is one of the reasons.. death sentences have no positive effect on people choices when criminals dies of diseases, suicide, or natural death years after the crimes they committed.

What's wrong with this picture.. mainscream media is more concerned about Trump because he speaks the truth than it is with Porkchop HILL lying..

---
Even sadder, mainscream media is more concerned about Trump's hair than Porkchop HILL's veracity.

---
Did you see the list of unprompted free association poll of names used to describe Porkchop HILL? Topping the list is "LIAR"..., well, she sure has earned it.

---
Speaking of Porkchop HILL.. did you hear her analogy comparing Hitler's use of putting Jews into boxcars as the desire of Republicans wanting to round up illegal aliens to ship them out of our country? This is even a new low in lying for her...

---
You know, if Obamageddon was president in the 1940s, you'd have to wonder whether or not he would call Hitler a terrorist..

---
Remember when the Democrat and mainscream media mantra was that Porkchop HILL was the "smartest woman" in the world....I guess that was by Common Crap  standards.

---
Carly Fiorina asked if Porkchop HILL has even seen the Planned Parenthood videos she's pooh-poohing as "terrorist Republican rhetoric"? Good grief, of course she knows the details in those videos.  Porkchop HILL supports the Planned Parenthood philosophy! Fiorina just dropped on my rankings.

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Court reverses big ruling on NSA phone records * A federal appeals court ruled in favor of the Obama administration Friday, allowing the NSA to continue to collect telephone data on Americans" -- "ruled in favor of the Obama administration "? Huh? When was Obamageddon ever "for" gthis?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/ story: "Former prep school student convicted of sex charges * St. Paul's School, the 159-year-old boarding school that has long been a training ground for America's elite. Its alumni include Secretary of State John Kerry, former FBI Director Robert Mueller, "Doonesbury" creator Garry Trudeau, at least 13 U.S. ambassadors, three Pulitzer Prize winners, and sons of the Astor and Kennedy families." --  Good grief.. the school trains people to screw America.. The best solution, for America in general and young women in particular, would probably be to close the school.

---
Random thought.. That young man from St Paul's School in the story above was planning to go to Harvard and take divinity classes.. not only is that incredulous to believe considering the Harvard's secular nature and its Supreme Court Justices' positions on moral issues, but when you also consider that he was attending a boarding school that his parents paid over $53,000.00 ANNUALLY to let someone else care for and educate him, the young man was not really in touch with the stresses of poverty or a close family life and issues.

---
Online headline: "This iPhone hack will make your battery last for a whole week" -- Hmmm.. some British Company is working on a hydrogen/oxygen based battery that will work for a week between charges. On the other hand, you can get a weeks worth of phone life with a rather simple.. and no cost option now.. just turn off you phone, and don't turn it on again until you have to make a call that's actually too important that you cannot wait until you see the person.

---
The Pentagon is working with a California technology research center that makes a thin, flexible and stretchable sensor that can be inserted into cracks and crevices that ordinary wired/chipped  units cannot. I have a trial project to test it.. insert such into every politician (you know where) and program it to induce a shock that makes them incontinent when every they tell a lie or half-truth..

---
Online headline: "Kylie Jenner cited for water wasting" -- Good grief...how about citing tabloids for wasting trees to report crap like this, too!

---
Online headline: "This teacher got creative with her "Harry Potter/Hogwarts" inspired classroom" -- Hmmm you can bring the occult into the classroom but not  a Christian Cross...

---
Online story: "As an NFL quarterback and a head coach at both the college and NFL levels, Jim Harbaugh has interacted with some pretty famous people, like Judge Judy and Alex Rodriguez, but even he could not believe he got a phone call from Michael Jordan. * The legendary basketball player gave Harbaugh a call to talk about the recently announced partnership between Jordan Brand and Michigan that will see the Wolverines become the first football team to wear the Jumpman logo, but the coach did not believe his ears at first." -- "Jumpman"? Guess it'll have a little trademark figure of "Hair Wolverine" and Hugh Jackman will be the school's new mascot...you really have to wonder what Nike and Hanes will do with Jordan ads and products..

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Venice's Conservative Mayor Wants To Keep Gay Pride Out Of City" -- Hey,, simple solution ... give'm a "walk only parade permit".. no gondolas allowed.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Drought in Cuba Lays Bare Decades of Water Mismanagement" -- Well, Hurricane Erika will solve that.... and Obamageddon will claim it was part of the negotiations restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba..

---
Rumor has it that the White House is putting pressure on Bleep Veep Biden not to challenge Porkchop HILL. Guess Obamageddon is afraid that if Biden is "out there" and got assassinated by the Clintons, then he would lose his insurance from being assassinated. and Biden assuming the presidency..

---
L-E story: " After meeting in a Columbus High classroom and touring the neighborhood in a school bus Friday, a dozen officials from the Muscogee County School District and Columbus Consolidated didn’t produce an agreement to solve the parking problem at the school. *  But the officials who spent more than an hour exchanging information and insight, questions and suggestions did agree to continue seeking a solution that satisfies both constituencies." -- " a solution that satisfies both constituencies"? Good grief.. this is exactly why government officials should not be able to compromise anything.. a compromise satisfies NEITHER side of an issue.. it may calm the situation for a moment, but neither side will leave the table thinking the problem is solved.

---
Jonathan Gruber extra stupid and lying LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Requiring board approval of any expense above $5,000 is not accountability. It’s micromanagement so absurd that it would bog down the entire school district, rendering it dysfunctional. In comparison, the city’s threshold is $25,000." -- I can remember when the City Council had to approve any expenditure of $5.00... that, my ill-informed writer.. is micro-managing. I'm checking on the absurdity of the writer's claim that the City allows people to write non-Council approved checks for $25,000.00.. just want to make sure the facts coincide with my gut feeling.. something LIV writers don't bother to ascertain.

Friday, August 28, 2015

Online headline/story:"Planned Parenthood report says fetal tissue videos were distorted * The anti-abortion group has said the videos showed Planned Parenthood officials discussing the illegal sale of aborted fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood has said it has done nothing wrong." -- If there is anything distorted, it is the view.. the opinion, that fetuses are not "life", yet individual "parts" are viable for sale/use.

---
Online headline: "Trump, Cruz to hold joint event to blast Iran deal" -- Cruz gets it.. Jindal does too.. now if we can get Bush, Kasich, Walker, Fiorina, Perry, and Rubio to adopt the same passion and forthcoming, and the "others" to drop out and support the fervor of this group. we'll have the winning choice picked out by the first of next year, and can make a unified effort at getting our country back on track.

---
You know, the only rule the Republican debates should have is that no one can criticize any other Republican candidate..we need to hear their solutions for the problems the next president will have to tackle beginning on day one.

---
From the "we feel we gotcha Trump" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Controversial group endorses Trump for 2016 * Trump gets unwanted endorsement from racists and Neo-Nazis" -- Hmmm.. wonder if the HuffPOOPOO will be running the endorsements of the New Black Panther Party or the Nation of Islam? Well, thinking about that, we really don't have to wonder if the HuffPOOPOO will do that.. we know it won't.. BTW, Trump's already "FIRED THEM"!

---
Online headline: "MSNBC bumps Al Sharpton from weeknights to Sunday mornings" -- Hmmm.. from the 100 person time slot to the 5 person time slot.. Well, at least the reverend Sharlatan has a Sunday job ...

--- *
Online headline: "Did US intelligence downplay how powerful ISIS is? * New information suggests that there was a push to 'downplay' the threat of ISIS in reports to the president to make the group seem weaker." -- Whoa! This is a trick question... suggesting "intelligence" for a White House claim  was the "clue".

---
From the "Good Grief, is there no sanity left" department - Online story: "Lucy Liu dropped some big baby news Thursday on Instagram and revealed she welcomed an adorable baby boy via a gestational carrier." -- "gestational carrier"? Can we say, "surrogate mother"? While celebrating a new baby is wonderful, in this case, Lucy Liu has stated she was "too busy to carry a baby" so she basically "bought one". I have news for Liu.. if "carrying the baby" is the aspect you thought you were "too busy" for, you have no idea of how "busy" a real mom will be raising her baby.

---
From the "how much more stupid can mainscream media become" department - Online headline: "Should the live TV shooting be called a hate crime? After reading the phrase 'race war' in Vester Flanagan's 'manifesto,' many are wondering whether his deadly shooting qualifies as a hate crime -- "wondering whether   (it) qualifies as a hate crime"? Good grief! A man who has a well defined history of racism claims in previous jobs gets fired again, buys a gun, literally stalks his co-workers for months, picks a spot where he can do a "selfie" video of his assassinations, has a hate filled "manifesto" posted, and mainscream media "wonders"?  ARRGGGHHHH!!!!! Thank goodness the (_*_) shot himself, Now we just have to pray mainscream media doesn't martyr the (_*_)  as a victim of society...

---
Hey, Al Sharlatan..hey, Obamageddon, ..hey, DOJ, hey, mainscream media..don't "TV media lives matter"?

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "35 Of Pope Francis's Most Prophetic Statements" -- "prophetic"? Doesn't anyone in mainscream media use a proof-reader any more? Some of of this list may be considered "prophetic", but a lot of them are just plain "pathetic">

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Democrats Confident Iran Deal Will Survive In Congress" -- Good grief.. if not enough Democrat Senators vote "FOR AMERICA" then it's not the Iran Deal surviving, it's about Congress failing America because of Democratic Party politics...

___
HuffPOOPOO headline: "As Refugee Tide Mounts, No One Is in Control" -- Wait a minute,, this is one of those accidental "truths" that slips into the HuffPOOPOO news feeds that is actually "spot on",, it describes both the European Union plight as well as the Obamageddon fiasco along the Mexican border.

---
I'm still amazed... actually.. mystified.. at the statement that 70% of McDonald's business is from the drive through windows. Can it be far before we see Fast food ATM* Kiosks (* Automatic Takeout Meals) fully robotically run? Don't laugh.. the technology already exists, and $15.00 per hour starter jobs aren't in McDonald's plans...

---
Online story: "NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. –  An elementary school teacher has been allowed to keep his job even though he was late for work 111 times over a two-year period. * In a decision filed Aug. 19, an arbitrator rejected an attempt by the Roosevelt Elementary School to fire 15-year veteran Arnold Anderson from his $90,000-a-year job, saying he was entitled to progressive discipline." -- Good grief.. will REAL teachers stand up and condemn the unions for condoning malfeasance in the work place.. After all, what message about discipline is are the teacher, the union  and the school system giving to the tudents about personal responsibility and accountability?

---
Online story: "Visiting residents on tidy porch stoops and sampling the fried chicken at a corner restaurant, President Obama held out the people of New Orleans on Thursday as an extraordinary example of renewal and resilience 10 years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina." -- Good grief.. remember when Fuzzy Zoeller was ostracized for suggesting Tiger Woods order "fried chicken" as the menu item for the Masters' Winners' Dinner? Now it's "OK" to talk about fried chicken... on the other hand, I guess Obamageddon felt he would look capable in the eyes of the New Orleans' populace as long as they remember how Ray Nagins screwed up as Mayor of NOI.

---
Jorge Ramos claims he has "a right".. (well actually, he claimed he had the right to ignore protocol, and ignore the rights of others) to ask questions to Donald Trump.. On what basis? Last I heard, the job of a reporter is to seek and relay the truth of events.. not just write, or yell as in this case, about his interpretation of the Constitution as he personally deems it. Guess he just agrees with Stephen Colbert that each individual has the right to determine what he/she feels is right or wrong in spite of the Constitutional Rights this country affords all its citizens.
---
Online headline: " MSNBC National Correspondent JOY REID: TRUMP WENT AFTER KELLY BECAUSE SHE’S A WOMAN, RAMOS BECAUSE HE’S HISPANIC" -- Hmmm, and if Trump goes after Reid, it will be because she's dumb, biased, and racist.

---
L-E headline/story: "School lets 6-year-old walk home alone without permission; parents, babysitter still seek answers *  This is (Dr. Yvette) Scarborough's first year at Fox. She comes from Polk County (Fla.) Public Schools, where she was principal of Churchwell Elementary and where Lewis was an assistant superintendent before the Muscogee County School Board hired him in July 2013." --  While I'm glad the child ended up safely, excuse me for wondering why an elementary school principal was recruited from Lewis' old system when there should be plenty of qualified existing employees already in the MCSD system? This reeks.. and should be fully investigated.

---
Jonathan Gruber extra-extra-stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The polls show Trump leading and the stock market reacted accordingly, dropping 500 points." -- Good grief.. if there is any cause of Trump's lead being the reason for a stock market drop, it would be because of the Wall Street bankers selling off after realizing that Porkchop HILL will not win and all the true statistics of the economy that Obamageddon has lied about will be revealed by Trump.

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-double extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " We rank at the top in firearms murders in the world and below Third World countries in educational progress. But the NRA is one of the most revered organizations around. Is there a link?" -- If I didn't know better, I would think these were the feelings of either Senator Feinstein, Congresswoman Pelosi, or Obamageddon himself.. of course, their ineptitude is assisting a natural self-correcting process. Their refusal to identify themselves as the culprits of inner-city death and doom is allowing street thugs to eliminate themselves which will eventually lower the ongoing street death levels and lower the public education failures.

---
L-E story: "An animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex moves its jaws Thursday afternoon as workers set up the South Hall of the Columbus Convention & Trade Center for this weekend’s T-Rex Planet interactive dinosaur exhibit. Event manager David Eldika of T-Rex Planet, left, said the display features more than 50 different dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods. At left, Eldika holds “Lucy,” a small aniwmatronic velociraptor. * Hours for the display are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. General admission for adults and children 1 years old and older is $16 per person. Children under 1 get in for free" -- "Children under 1 get in for free"? -- Well, this exhibit just lost $64.00 in ticket sales.. If my 3 year old granddaughter wanted to go, I'd take her, her mother and my bride to see it, but I'm not going if I have to pay $16.00 for my 3 year old granddaughter..

---

L-E story: "AUGUSTA, Ga. — A third-grader who accidentally shot a classmate at school found the weapon while exploring his family’s kitchen, authorities said. *  The shooting happened Tuesday at Hornsby Elementary School in Augusta. The child was playing with the gun inside a desk when it accidentally discharged, grazing a girl, authorities said. The boy was looking around his house for a toy and found the gun hidden in a curio stand in the kitchen,  The child used a chair to climb onto a nearby counter to get to the weapon," -- Excuse me but apparently the gun wasn't "hidden" if a third-grader could spot it and he had to climb on a counter top to reach it.. besides, all my curio cabinets are glass fronted/sided for ease of view.

Online headline: "Rosie O'Donnell's daughter leaves home again * Rosie's daughter, Chelsea, 18, left home again on Monday and reportedly has no plans to return to the talk show host's abode." -- Hmmm...Trump was right... again!

---
Online headline: "Judge: 'Get the defendant out of my courtroom' * The gallery applauded Judge Carlos A. Samour as he ordered James Holmes out of the courtroom after sentencing him to life in prison on Wednesday. * He 'does not deserve any sympathy'" -- "does not deserve any sympathy"? Hell, he doesn't deserve to still be breathing!

---
You know.. I think what the Number 1 issue in addressing issues of racism in our country is that mainscream media, the Democratic Party, and the black "leadership" makes every issue about racism.. My grandfather and father were pretty wise when they advised me to "pick your battles wisely". Make sure the issue is one that affects more than your personal thoughts/beliefs.

---
Online headline/story: "City with the worst gridlock in the country is ...* The average commuter in one part of the U.S. wastes 82 hours a year stuck in traffic, nearly two times the national average, a new report said.
Tim Lomax, a report co-author, said Washington, D.C., has the worst gridlock in the country, with commuters wasting 82 hours a year stuck in traffic, nearly twice the national average." -- Good grief.. who'da thunk it.. imagine "gridlock" in Washington, DC.

---
Online headline/story: "Consumers are upset over Country Crock’s 'revolting' new recipe *  In a press release from Aug. 3, Mike Faherty, General Manager of Baking, Cooking & Spreads at Unilever, the company that makes the spread, said the move was a response to consumers “who are asking more from today's food brands to deliver great tasting products that they can trust and are made with fewer, simpler ingredients. *  After the new product appeared in stores, Country Crock’s official website and Facebook page has been flooded with negative product reviews. From poor product consistency, to horrible taste * Country Crock lovers say the “healthier” product has seriously missed the mark on taste." -- Hmmm.. may I suggest a new name to go along with the "new" product... "Whatta CROCK!"

---
Saw a story about McDonald's that caught my attention.. did you know that 70% of McDonald's business is from the drive-through windows? Seems to me that this is to much for a business that wants growth and are remodeling the insides. Maybe they should just add drive through capability to the lobbies as well.

---
Online headline: "Jorge Ramos, host of the Fusion Network show America with Jorge Ramos, disclosed Friday that his daughter Paola has signed up as an employee of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. * Fusion is an American multi-platform media company that is a joint venture between the Disney-ABC Television Group subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company and Univision Communications, and relies in part on the resources of their respective news divisions, ABC News and Noticias Univision." -- Hmmm, the FEC should be monitored to see if ABC is monitoring its affiliates/networks for equal time allotments for all candidates.

---
From the "conformation of opinion expressed above" department - Online headline/story: "Univision anchor: Trump fight is 'personal' * Univision anchor Jorge Ramos said on Wednesday that he is offended by GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rhetoric concerning immigration." -- Hey,  FEC.. there IS a conspiracy in the ABC stable!

---
Online headline/story: "Army awards tactical vehicle contract to Wisconsin firm * The $6.7 billion contract is expected to support thousands of jobs. * union workers at Oshkosh in 2013 agreed to a contract extension so that the company could nail down its labor costs for the project." -- Hmmm.. I'm including a link to the story because "something 'big' is missing".. the story mentions Wisconsin, it mentions unions, it even mentions the company CEO's name.. oddly, it avoids any mention of the Wisconsin Governor, Scott Walker. Somehow, I do think he's an important piece of the puzzle that had to be put together to land such a contract.

Online story: "Federal investigators say in a new report that officials with the solar company Solyndra misrepresented facts and omitted key information in its effort to get a $535 million loan guarantee before filing for bankruptcy protection nearly four years ago." -- "Solyndra misrepresented facts and omitted key information "? DOH!..., who'da figured? Though what else was needed to secure that loan from Obamageddon other than a big campaign donation...?

Online story: "The White House is declaring Wednesday Women’s Equality Day to mark 95 years since women won the right to vote under the 19th Amendment." -- "95 years since women won the right to vote"? Sorta an odd time to be "celebrating" since in 5 years, it will be the 100TH Anniversary of such... guess the Democrats want to get in "their support" now since Porkchop HILL is running, and there's the possibility that when the 100th Anniversary comes along, she won't be the president, and it'll be because the women's vote didn't support her.

Hmmm..thinking about that young woman in a coma in Cuba...don't liberals contend that Cuba, with its single payer insurance for all, have better medical care than the US?

---
Unbelievable...the fiance of the young woman reporter killed during a live TV broadcast is a anchor of that station. He sent out "Twitter Tweets" shortly after learning about the shooting.. I sympathize with his loss but is he a big twit or what? PS - this question is a trick one.. it has only one answer...

---
Why was the (_*_) who shot himself after killing those 2 TV people given resuscitation measures? Why didn't the police officers just let nature take its course? The (_*_) had elected to shoot other people as well as himself..nobody was there to save the 2 TV folks..don't put the nation through the " motive crap", or paint the (_*_) as a victim..( even though he is a victim of liberalism in that he never took personal responsibility for him being the (_* _) he became). Fortunately, efforts to save the (_*_) failed, and we won't be subjected to a mainscream media circus trial.

Online story: 'Colorado lawmakers are taking per diem on weekends and holidays — days mileage reimbursements often show they’re at home — and the practice is costing taxpayers as much as $400,000 a year, Watchdog.org found." -- Hmmm. let's hope and pray that Watcgdog.ORG looks into the other 49 states as well.

---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "In 1928, the Kellogg-Briand Pact was signed in Paris, outlawing war and providing for the peaceful settlement of disputes." -- Liberals just feel if you address something and walk away with a signed document from an evil leader, you have solved it..Calvin Coolidge felt this way in 1928, and Obamageddon feels this way after giving Iran a straight path to a nuclear weapon. Whoa.. don't be claiming Coolidge was a Republican.. he was a Vermont lawyer who worked his way through Massachusetts politics to become its governor..Maybe Massachusetts would have benefited for voter photo-ID for candidates.

L-E story: " A man described as the mastermind of the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing that killed 19 American servicemen in Saudi Arabia has been captured, a U.S. and a Saudi official said Wednesday, ending a nearly two-decademanhunt for one of the FBI’s most-wanted terrorists. *  The 48-year-old suspect was described by the FBI in 2001 as the head of the armed wing of the once-active but shadowy Saudi Hezbollah group. * The U.S. indictment said that elements of the Iranian government inspired, supported and supervised members of the Saudi Hezbollah group in the Khobar Towers attack, but it stopped short of naming any Iranian officials. * The security official said Saudi intelligence believes that four others wanted in the bombing are living in Iran." -- Please don't send Kerry to bring the (_*_) back or to prosecute him!

---
L-E story: "The transmission of now-classified information across Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private email is consistent with a State Department culture in which diplomats routinely sent secret material on unsecured email during the past two administrations, according to documents reviewed by The Associated Press. * Clinton’s use of a home server makes her case unique and has become an issue in her front-running campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. But it’s not clear whether the security breach would have been any less had she used department email. The department only systematically checks email for sensitive or classified material in response to a public records request." -- Good grief.. mainscream media is now trying to pooh-pooh Porkchop HILL's treason since some precedence may... MAY .. have been set, and it's BUSH's Fault!

L-E story: "   While the U.S. composite score on the ACT remained the same from last year to this year, six of the nine Muscogee County public schools, as well as Chattahoochee County High, improved their result along with Georgia’s average, which matched the national number." -- To begin with, why are any schools from other counties mixed in with a report that should focus on Muscogee County? Secondly, why is the L-E trying to "fluff up" the numbers ? In reality, theses are the 2014 vs 2015 comparison numbers:
Remember 18 on the ACT's is the median/mimimum number for "success" --

School            2014     2015

Columbus        24.8      25.6
Northside         19.3      20.1
Hardaway         18.0      18.0
Early College     16.8      18.2
Shaw               17.4       18.0

Carver                16.0       16.8
Jordan                16.2       16.8
Spencer              16.4       16.2
Kendrick              16.2       15.7

Georgia                20.8       21.0
National                21.0      21.0

Theses are the facts that L-E writer/MCSD brown noser, Mark Price glosses over.. Does Price think he's "helping" any student by ignoring the truth.. the facts?  The current reporting by the L-E is even worse than when the chair of the MCSB was the wife of a L-E staffer!

---
L-E headline: "Hungary’s border fence proves futile in slowing migrant flow" -- Hmmm... looks like Trump could get a job as president of Hungary if things don't work out here in 2016, but poor Obamageddon.. Hungary would not give him that same job under any circumstance!

---
L-E story: " The Whitewater Avenue Streetscape project, which has left Third Avenue closed since July 6, is expected to take approximately 11 months, according to a bulletin that was mailed to Phenix City residents." -- Once again, Phenix City is one-upping Columbus' Mayor TomLYINGson.. naming a street
"Whitewater Avenue" is brilliant, and PC gets to capitalize on its "drop in the bucket" contribution to the project. PC has scooped TomLYINGson before when it put in it's Whitewater landing station, landed the new Courtyard Marriott with the only riverfront hotel in the area, and got WC Bradley to cross over and develop the retail strip off 13th Street.

L-E story: " This probably isn’t what the United Nations had in mind when it established the International Day of Peace: Burger King said it’s calling for a truce with McDonald’s so that they can create a mashup of their most famous burgers — the Big Mac and the Whopper. Burger King says it wants to serve the concoction for a single day at a popup location in Atlanta, a midway point between the headquarters of the two chains." -- Hmmm .. why not cut McDonald's out of it and just call it the "Obamageddon"? Make it a meal deal with sides of Pelosi and Reid..

Tell you what.. Donald Trump has my support in his word war with Megyn Kelly at Fox.. I stopped watching her new show within two weeks after she got her own spot in the Fox line-up.. He smirkiness.. her "SNL Church Lady" attitude was too much to watch for a hour at a time..

Online story: "A surge in migrants, many of them refugees from Syria, hit Hungary's southern border on Tuesday, passing through gaps in an unfinished barrier to a Europe groping for answers to its worst refugee crisis since World War Two. * More than 100,000 migrants have entered Hungary, part of Europe's Schengen zone of passport-free travel, this year en route to the more affluent countries of western and northern Europe. *  Hungary demanded more money from the EU to alleviate the burden, saying the distribution of funds was "humiliating". One senior European official said that, in the absence of action, "Europe has failed". -- Hmmm.. Hungary wants more money from the EU..MORE money? Hey, we aren't getting ANY MONEY form the UN.. Maybe we should kick out the UN and join the EU.
---
Online headline: "Group of GOP leaders plot to take down Trump" -- Good grief.. it's not as if Trump is worse than anyone on the Democratic Party, it's just an excuse to keep the "status quo". What the GOP Inner Sanctum SHOULD be doing is taking notes and and applying Trump's success to the game plans of all the GOP candidates..
---
Online headline: "Caitlyn Jenner plays golf" -- I knew it.. he just wants to play from the Red tees at Celebrity Pro-Ams!

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Moore launches petition against her high school * In a brutally honest letter, actress Julianne Moore called on her alma mater to ditch its insensitive name. * Moniker she's had to 'apologize' for her whole life" -- "had to 'apologize' for her whole life"?  Good grief.. this is obviously a case of a public school system that failed to give students real "self esteem" because it GAVE self-esteem to students rather than them earning it.
---
Online story: "Anheuser-Busch announced Monday that it is going to provide 2,156 cases of emergency drinking water — or 51,744 cans — for use by firefighters battling forest fires in Washington state and the Pacific Northwest. * The company said a truck loaded with water will arrive this week in Wenatchee, Wash." -- Good grief.. I hate it when a company tries crass liberalism for mainscream media approval.. What are the firefighters going to do a week from now.. throw the cans at the fire.. It AB wanted to do something and bring attention to itself, it should have provided such anonymously and let the media "discover" the gift on its own... Besides, the firefighters would probably appreciate a COLD BEER more.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "The Missing Statistics On Women In Cuba *  Gender violence creates an unknown number of victims every day in Cuba, but the statistics on these acts are not made public." -- Good grief.. Obamageddon has reopened diplomatic relations with a country that wages war on women.. as we speak!
---
Online story: "A Tampa-area college student lies in a Cuban hospital bed, having been injured in a collision outside Havana, and her friends and family are desperately trying to scrape together the $50,000 they need to get her airlifted to Florida. *  Barbara “Barbie” Jimenez, 22, who was scheduled to graduate from the University of South Florida this year with a degree in philosophy, went to visit family members in Cuba early this month  * a green Cuban Revolutionary Army truck slammed into the Chevy on the front driver’s side killing the cabbie and seriously injuring the four passengers. * Not having any health insurance, her family was told that it would cost them $50,000 to transport her to Florida, money her parents, Jorge Jimenez and Daisy Falcon, do not have." -- Wait a minute.. I thought children could be insured on their parents policy until they were 27, and OObamaCRAP covered everybody.. and what about Cuba's lack of compassion and responsibility.. it was an Army Truck.. Oh, but Obamageddon knew Cuba has issues with women..
---
Online story: "A congressional committee blasted the Environmental Protection Agency today for blocking release of documents related to the Gold King mine disaster, which poured deadly chemicals into the largest source of drinking water in the West." -- Good grief.. is there any agency that thrives under a socialist administration that is transparent with the majority of Americans? IRS, Homeland Security, White House Press Agents, INS, DOJ, FDA, DOE, DEA, ATF, The Supreme Court, the VA,  Congress.. I can't think of one that emanates confidence to the majority of Americans.. Step up to the plate, Republicans! And the GOP wonders why Trump appeals to real Americans... tell you what.. it ain't no mystery!
---
Online story: "Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and senior staff at the U.S. embassy in Japan used personal email accounts for official business, an internal watchdog report said Tuesday -- making Kennedy the latest Obama administration official to run afoul of email security guidelines." -- Good grief.. it was only a few datys ago that Trump blasted Kennedy for being appointed Ambassador to Japan without any experience nor expertise. Now this.. other than Obamagedon's college records and birth certificate, are there any secrets that every other government doesn't know about our government?
---
You know.. a Public Defender is pretty much an oxymoron.. How is the public defended when tax dollars are given to lawyers to get criminals off on technicalities or get reduced sentences  which gets criminals back on the streets earlier because the DA Offices around the country are eager to get cases out of the system?
---
A fellow BCer passed along this video clip of a "Saturday Night Live" skit.. funny as hell.. only because it is true.. you can tell by the stifled laughter of the  liberal audience trying to digest the content..

Random quote of the day: ""A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country."" - Texas Guinan (1884-1933) -- and take money out of your pocket to help his friend...

Has anyone seen the folly of a school system being forced to keep a 30 day expense reserve  in case of emergency needs if ongoing revenues take a hit? I'm not sure about the Phenix City expenses, but the MCSD expenses are 85% salaries/benefits, so basically a 30 day fund reserve would only pay the salaries for the employees. One question that doesn't seem to have been asked/approached is the 30 day period that constitutes the dollar amount necessary to cover.. I'm sure it's probably an "average" 30 day period. but what happens when situation occurs in August when the electricity bill soars? Are employees going to get paid while the utilities don't, or will the kids be kept cool while the employees full pay checks will be delayed?
---
L-E story: " In what’s been a violent year in St. Louis, a common theme has emerged: The gun used in any given crime was probably stolen." -- Oh.. and how many criminals presented photo-IDs and passed background checks before they stole the guns? Hey, Senator Feinstein, how about creating a law to make it illegal to steal guns? Yeah.. that stop it for sure.. NOT! Hey, Senator, how about proposing a law that possession of a stolen gun carry an automatic death penalty...
---
You know.. if voters go along with Mayor TomLYINGson's "plan" to let current homeowners keep the "freeze" but deny "freeze" protection to new owners, then it won't be long before a lawsuit is filed by  one of her friends that challenges the new condition of the "freeze" as discriminatory towards new buyers because they would have to pay more and more each year while those "grandfathered in" would not.  Her "plan" is to do just this, and blame it on the GA Supreme Court who would have no reason to deny the suit if presented this way.

L-E headline/pic:" Confederate flag discussed at forum"

I think the sign on the podium says it all.. "No food at the podium".. it might have well as said.. "no food for thought".

Online headline: "GOP candidates play blame game as markets tumble * Obama and Beijing became popular targets for 2016 nominees on Monday after the Dow fell by nearly 600 points due to China's economic woes." -- I can see it now.. 1992, only it's Bush looking at Porkchop HILL and saying, "It's the economy, stupid".

---
There's another "list" out.. this time it's "The least-stressed cities in America". When I saw the reason Ipwa City, IA was chosen Number 1, I stopped reading:
" A 2014 study by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health found that half of all American adults dealt with a major stressful event over the prior year. And that doesn't even consider the cumulative effect of the smaller daily stresses of modern life, such as credit card bills, children, mortgage payments and (ugh) keeping up with social media. * The largest single employer in Iowa City is, by far, the University of Iowa. According to the city's 2014 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, the University of Iowa employs over 30,000 people in Iowa City. The next largest employer (the Iowa City School District) employs just 1,700. In short, the university has an outsized effect on the local economy and, therefore, local stress levels. * Our analysis found that Iowa City has the 16th lowest bankruptcy rate of any major U.S. city, with just 8 personal bankruptcies for every 100,000 residents in 2014. It also has the 10th lowest unemployment rate and the third shortest average work-week, at a mere 33.4 hours. In comparison, the average work week in Chicago is 38.5 hours." -- Good grief.. the town has a total population of about 71, 000 and with nearly 32,000 being involved with school systems.. by time you add spouses, over half the town is paid with other people's tax dollars.. of course there's no stress.. there's no industry, and the majority of citizens are getting 3 months+ of taxpayer paid vacations!

---
Online headline: "ISIS claims to have killed 30 in LGBT-targeted slayings * A gay rights leader told U.N. officials on Monday the extremist group admitted to using gruesome acts to punish LGBT individuals by death." -- Hey, LGBTs.. Obamageddon still doesn't call ISIS "terrorists".. sorta stupid to parade in Democrat support, isn't it?

Online story: "Bad news keeps on coming regarding former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle.
It turns out, the Jared Fogle Healthy Lifestyle Nationwide School Grant Program was a sham.
Many believed the foundation was built to combat childhood obesity — something Jared says was a personal struggle growing up. But according to tax records, the charity never actually issued a grant, despite his promise to give schools and community organizations $2 million. * In fact, records reveal that 60% of the non-profit's budget actually went to former Executive Director Russell Taylor -- who is currently in jail on child porn charges. * Another 26% apparently just disappeared." -- Hmmm .. sorta reminds us what a forensic audit might have prevented.. I still cannot understand how the MCSD (GA) SPLOST can cost out concrete slab foundations and metal, barn-like building built on school property can be $312.00 a square foot. Oh,, perhaps a forensic audit of the Clinton's 13 Foundations might be revealing as well... maybe we could find out how many "donations" Bill made with Ashley Madison..

Online headline/story: "Ferguson municipal judge announces sweeping changes * The changes come after a critical U.S. Department of Justice report cited racial profiling among Ferguson police and a municipal court system that often targeted blacks, who make up about two-thirds of Ferguson's 21,000 residents." -- Good grief.. a town that's 2/3rds black IS going to have a high arrest number of blacks.. sorta common sense.. unless... UNLESS the statistics evolved from a COMMON CRAP math course.

---
Online headline: "Obama slams fossil fuel interests for fighting solar" -- Good grief.. bet this is a political payoff Obamageddon owes George Soros.. Soros must be wanting to buy more coal stock at lower prices.

Online headline: "Inmates work to create chair for pope's Philly prison visit" -- Hmmm.. wonder if it will be connected to the lightning rods?

Oil hit $37.00 a barrel yesterday...where's my 99¢ a gallon gas.. Oh ..struggling under about 53¢ a gallon tax load.

---
L-E headline: "Family feud? Obama caught in kmiddle (sic) of Clinton, Biden ambitions" -- Yeah.. Obamageddon is caught "between Iraq and a hard case".

---
Bleep Veep Biden or the Hillsbury Doughgirl? Wow what a choice Democrats would have.. a candidate with his foot in his mouth or a candidate with her hand in the Clinton Foundations' cookie jar?

---
L-E excuse: "Media were not allowed to cover any of Monday night’s appearance (at the Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum) by George W. Bush, his wife, Laura, and their daughter, Barbara Bush. CSU communications chief John Lester said the prohibition was due to the speakers’ contract. Media reports say the former president typically receives between $100,000 and $175,000 for a speaking engagement." -- On the other hand, the Forum could have brought in a Clinton for two or three times that amount, and the news media would have been roped off in the lobby.

From a L-E story: " U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop walked through the Columbus Black History Museum and Archives Monday morning, observing artifacts on display throughout the small wooden house. * The children recited a black American creed written by ( Johnny) Warner (the museum’s founder and curator)
“I am African/Black by heritage; I am an American by law,” the children read. “I will protect and defend the civil rights legislations — the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the United States Constitution, which my ancestors so boldly fought and died for. I will secure the blessings of freedom for myself and my children’s children. So help me God.”" -- "which my ancestors so boldly fought and died for"?....You know.. this is what is causing the ongoing racism ... black leaders are perpetuating the myth that whites have never done anything to help end what has been a social atrocity.. Thousands of white Americans as well gave their lives to end physical slavery and the truncated civil rights for all colors in this country...our public schools have failed to present the whole truth so America can move on as one nation. Oh, and what about the other 24 Amendments to our Constitution.. they must be accepted and honored as well.

---
Question: Has anyone ever seen Congressman Bishop present a check of his own to anything? He's Sandford-on-the-spot for photo ops handing out checks covered by taxes/other people's money.

L-E headline: "New home will be Mercedes-Benz Stadium * 27-year deal comes as the company also sponsors the New Orleans Superdome" -- Mercedes-Benz must have had John Kerry negotiating for it.. otherwise, a shorter term deal would have been made.. I mean.. who knows whether anyone will want to be associated with the Falcons 27 years from now?

Online headline/story: "Lawyer reveals gunman's bizzare motive for attack * The shooter is 'dumbfounded' at being tagged a terrorist, his lawyer said. * he just wanted to rob the train because he was hungry." -- "because he was hungry"? I think the lawyer committed a bigger crime than the jihadist-wannabe. Oh, by the way.. the jihadist had an AK-47 automatic with 8 extra magazines.. guess he'd spent all of is food budget on ammo.

Online story: "Bare-chested women and men are taking to the streets of midtown Manhattan as critics have complained about topless tip-seeking in Times Square. * Appearing topless is legal in New York but Mayor Bill de Blasio and others believe the body-painted women who take photos with tourists are a nuisance."  -- "appearing topless is legal in NY"? Hmmm. apparently, being clueless and stupid is legal, too

--
Instant repeat: "Bare-chested women and men are taking to the streets of midtown Manhattan as critics have complained about topless tip-seeking in Times Square. * Appearing topless is legal in New York but Mayor Bill de Blasio and others believe the body-painted women who take photos with tourists are a nuisance. * In New York, GoTopless spokeswoman Rachel Jessee says the goal is for gender equality when it comes to baring one's chest." "the goal is gender equality"? Hmmm.. there's a better solution for that.. just make it illegal for men to walk-run-jog around city street topless as well.

From the "look what I stumbled across looking for something else" department:

"The current mayor is Teresa Tomlinson, who was elected in November 2010.

In 2007, Best Life magazine ranked Columbus #4 on the Top 100 Places to Raise a Family.[5][6] In 2013, Livability.com ranked Columbus #74 on the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America.[7] In 2011, The Daily Beast ranked Columbus #1 on the list of the 30 Brokest Cities in America,[8][9] which was disputed by the mayor who alleged that the ranking was due to a lawsuit that Columbus is involved in with Expedia, whose management teams share a good deal of overlap with the site.[10] Security company Safemart rated Columbus the most dangerous city in 2013, while a [11] Gallup well-being poll, published in 2014 on Yahoo!, ranked the Columbus area as the seventh-most miserable city in the U.S" --

Wow.. From #4  of the Best Places to Raise a Family" in 2007 , but in 2011 dropped to 74th in the list of "100 Best Places to Live in America", and then  avalanched downhill.. to become "the Brokest City", "the Most Dangerous City", and more recently, #7 in the list of "Most Miserable Cities". In a new poll rating healthcare access and home affordability, Columbus did not make the list of 50. (

According to Mayor TomLYINGson, and our local "newspaper", Columbus is just dandy...but looks like a lot has changed from the "glory days" since Mayor TomLYINGson first took office in 2010

Oh... but I bet we rank number one in $244,000.000 public bathrooms!

HuffPOOPOO story: 'The researchers used survey data from the PROSPER longitudinal study, which followed two groups of sixth grade students in Iowa and Pennsylvania until they reached ninth grade. Each fall and spring for those four years, the 921 students would complete the study questionnaire during school hours. They were asked about their friend circles and could nominate up to seven "best or close friends." Each time the students were surveyed, the researchers would gauge peer acceptance by seeing how many new friends they listed.  * The students also reported their sexual behavior in those questionnaires. They were asked how many times they had sex in the last 12 months, as well as how many times they'd engaged in a "lighter" sexual behavior, making out." -- Good grief! This is how liberals/perverts invade the innocence of children.. Taking children as they enter puberty and "the hormone years" and literally herding them into a frenzy by discussing sexuality in a "matter-of-fact" manner just creates an atmosphere that increases the desire to experiment. You keep asking kids questions that "no" is not the answer the interviewer wants creates a condition of kids wanting to please the interviewer rather than just be a kid. No child wants to think.. or feel, that he/she is not normal, and when they cannot answer "yes", it creates the fear they aren't normal.

Online story: "One small Colorado space startup, Escape Dynamics, believes their radical approach could offer a better way into space. * The company is working on an “external propulsion” spaceplane that separates energy from propellant. Instead of volatile liquid or solid rocket fuel, the craft runs on pressurized hydrogen. A ground antenna array aims a beam of microwaves at a heat exchanger in the plane’s belly, superheats the hydrogen to 2,000 degrees Kelvin, and forces it out of an exhaust nozzle to provide enough thrust to reach orbit." -- "2,000 degrees Kelvin"? That's 3,140 degrees Fahrenheit.. Can you imagine what that would do to a Boeing 747 filled with 400-500 people if one flew a little off course into a 3,140 degree microwave?  For comparison, an average home microwave oven rarely exceeds 212 degrees Fahrenheit.. but don't put a metal container in it.. Can you imagine what a microwave beam at 3,140 degrees Fahrenheit will do to the metal cabin of a plane?

Online "headlie": "Biden backer hints VP must decide on 2016 run soon" -- What BS.. Remember Sen. Thomas Eagleton.. McGovern's original running mate...Dems had no problem replacing him with Sargent Shriver ("The Arnold's" ex-f-i-l) after 18 days of campaigning.

---
I'm offended by the "You can't win if you don't play" ad campaign for the GA Lottery.. With the odds built in against your winning, you can pretty well count on if you buy $20.00 worth of tickets, you lose $20.00 you could buy food for your family.

---
A "truly get's it" L-E "soundoff": "Black lives do matter. What puzzles me is why they are killing one another." -- What's even more puzzling is that Al Sharlatan, Jesse Jackson, the DOJ,  Obamageddon. and the Chicago Democrat hierarchy ignore such.... My guess is that they can control the votes of dead people.

---
Another "gets's it" L-E "soundoff": "Hillary says there is no evidence that connects her with any wrongdoing about her emails. Not one smidgen." -- Typical Democratic Party line answer.. if there is no evidence, it's because Porkchop HILL "feels" she has erased it all.. Hey, Ed Snowden.. bet the Republicans will drop all charges against you if you send in your copies of all of Porkchop HILL's e-mails!

L-E story: " The Georgia Department of Education is seeking public feedback as it conducts a review of the Science and Social Studies K-12 standards. After this process is complete, the new standards will be implemented in the 2017-18 school year. Go to www.georgiastandards.org   for a user-friendly, brief survey for professionals, parents and families, community members, students and others." -- One, I hope all parents will take the survey.. secondly use only the "parents and family" survey to make changes, as what we have now is the collective disaster of a committee of professionals and politicians .

---
L-E story: " WASHINGTON — Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid on Sunday threw his full support behind President Barack Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran, saying “it is the best path to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.” --  " best path to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon"? Good grief.. it's really the only path that GUARANTEES Iran will get a nuclear weapon...I can think of several "paths" that will stop Iran.. none of which starts with Obamageddon "drawing a line in the sand". Oh, and who really give's a whit about the opinion of a man physically bested by treadmill?

---
L-E guest commentary: "Commentary: Miami Herald * Come clean, Ms. Clinton *  Remember when Hillary Clinton’s advocates were touting her candidacy for president because there were no scandals left to uncover? She’d been investigated so often (and unfairly), they said, that you could rest assured no embarrassing secrets would pop out of the closet to frighten voters. *  Oops!" -- Wow.. a McClatchy newspaper that has taken off it's rose-tinted glasses when discussing Porkchop HILL.. guess even McClatchy knows their Columbus L-E wouldn't say this in a local editorial.

---
L-E story: "On an abandoned Chicago railway line cutting between the treetops, bike commuters zip by walkers and joggers, all traversing a ribbon of concrete undulating through a lush landscape where clattering freight cars once ferried everything from coal to furniture. *  This relic of the city’s industrial past is now a vision of its future. Chicago and cities throughout the country are transforming hulking pieces of obsolete infrastructure into useful — even inspiring — amenities." -- Good grief.. mainscream media is just as stupid as liberal politicians..They scream in unison that other people's taxes aren't high enough, then get excited about old railway beds being converted into bicycle trails or restored passenger train capabilities.. neither of which will produce tax revenue to warrant the cost of conversion. You know.. there's another option for abandoned railways that would basically become a positive source of income for municipalities.. instead of buying such property with tax dollars, just wait until old rail lines have been officially abandoned, then reclaim what was converted by eminent domain, return such ownership to the contiguous property owners and get an annual boost from the increase in property taxes.

Why is mainscream media so upset that Trump has supported both Democrat and Republican ideas? No party has a lockhold on what will work, so why hasn't mainscream media applauded Trump for recognizing good ideas from both sides of the aisle?

From the "how come" department -  Online story: "Malala Yousafzai is not your ordinary kid. Not only is she the youngest person to ever win a Nobel Peace Prize, but she's also the author of a NY Times Bestseller and jets off around the world to advocate for women's education. Somehow during all of this, she still managed to get straight-A's this year!" -- How come a teenaged girl stood up.. still stands up.. to the Taliiban and Obamageddon draws lines in the sand.. Oh, and how come she releases her grades and Obamageddon hasn't?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Plant isn't just lethal, it's also highly intelligent" -- Oooops my bad.. thought this was about Nancy Pelosi...

---
When you think about it, the politicians who deliver their words from their hearts are a lot more honest. Politicians who read their speech off a TelePromptor are repeating the words someone else has carefully picked out for the audience.  The difference is one of talking with the audience or talking at it.

---
Can you believe that Lindsey Graham actually said he would rather have a Democrat in the White House than Donald Trump? Graham is not a conservative nor even a RINO..he's a RINASS... From now on, if I mention Graham, it will be as Graham Cracker..

---
Remember those unarmed American Marines who disarmed a jihadist on that French train? Wanna bet whether Obamageddon has them arrested for initiating an action before the terrorist actually fired his gun at them?

---
Online headline: "Officials say French train gunman may be suspected Islamic jihadist" -- May?

The NFL is going to abandon.. for this year's rendition... the use of Roman Numerals to designate the SuperBowl.. This year it will be referenced to as "SuperBowl 50"... Usually, the NFL would have used the Roman Numeral "L",  but thinks the '"L" might be referred to as "Loser".  Well, what about the next two SuperBowls when the NFL goes back to the Roman Numerals... perhaps "LI" and "LII" whih will quickly be referred to as "One Loser" and "Loser, Too".

Online story: "The Veterans Entrepreneurial Transition (VET) Act of 2015 would give some veterans access to money in the GI Bill – funding traditionally used for tuition -- as seed money for their new businesses. The legislation has passed committee and is working its way to the Senate floor. *  The VET Act does have opponents, including Veterans of Foreign Wars." -- I have to agree with the VFW... a specific educational fund needs to stay as such.. there's nothing wrong with setting up a "small business" option, but it needs to be set up separately,, say under the Small Business Administration which is better equipped to advise Vet.

---
There's a good example to support setting up a separate administration for assisting Vets in either education or a business venture.. Take the GA Lottery.. look at the campaign promises made to keep the lottery proceeds "on task" to provide quality college education for GA high school grads. After the early years, when the newness of the lottery generated more than was necessary, it didn't take long for the legislature to add another way to spend those funds... towards pre-K daycare/babysitting businesses... and adding teachers for remedial college classrooms because school systems had become diploma mills with a goal to get every student possible on a Hope Scholarship.. Now, with lottery interest waning, the revenues have been affected by inflation and too many dollars being directed towards other programs other than rewarding achieving students a chance at a college education.

Have you seen those "safety hats" being worn by a MLB pitcher to be better prepared against line drives? It looks like  a hat manufacturer for Barry Bond's hats has found a use for his left over supply ..load a few inches of padding into them so they will fit people who haven't loaded up on steroids.

L-E story: " The long-running Whittlesey Road widening project may not be completed by October, but the four lanes will be open to traffic by then. *  The construction project began in fall 2012 and was estimated to take about 2 ½ years to complete. The original price tag was $8.95 million, with $7.17 coming from the federal government and $1.78 from the state.    In late 2014, the project was running about six months behind because of unforeseen drainage problems, some additional median cut-throughs and foot-dragging by utilities that needed to be moved. Those issues hiked the price tag up to $9.8 million. *  As that project is winding down, another, larger DOT project is about a quarter of the way completed up the road from Whittlesey on Veterans Parkway, Wellborn said. That is the $18.5 million road widening project on Veterans from Moon Road, past North-side High School, to Hancock Road. *  That 1.5-mile project, which is being done by .... the same contractor handling the Whittlesey project (and) is slated to be completed in summer 2017, about three years after it began, Wellborn said." -- Could there be a flaw in the DOT bid/job sustem? Having overlapping projects being handled by the same contractor may be the problem.. and may explain the delays as many days, it seemed as if no one was working on the Whittlesey RD project. Perhaps the DOT should limit time-competing projects by the same contractor in the same area until the first project is completed.. the public has no idea that it is getting it's money's worth on the revisions and cost overrun of the Whittlesey RD  Project, and just how did "anything unexpected" occur with as much time that was spent in doing the planning and early site preparation?

---
You know.. Council should provide info on how much revenue is generated by the users at  our activity specific recreational/entertainment venues.  Tax payers have funded the construction and provide site management of rental facilities such as the Civic Center, the separate Ice Rink, Bull Creek and Oxbow Meadows golf courses, the Aquacenter, The Trade and Convention Center which all have fees to use, but they all need supplementary financial aid to keep the doors open. Perhaps the public should see the actual fees received for those who actually use them, and a proposal to raise the usage fees to pay for the shortages.

Jonathan Gruber extra-stupid LIV's wishful "feeling" L-E "soundoff": " There is no way Hillary can lose. Women, Hispanics and African Americans will vote for her. And that is that. Don’t waste your time, just get over it and move on." -- This must have been sent in by either Porkchop HILL or our local "empty chair" of the Muscogee Democrat Party... even Chris Mathews doesn't feel Porkchop HiILL's tingle down his leg..

---
A Columbus Ledger-Enquirer story credits Julian Bond with founding the Southern Poverty Law Center.. while he was named as the first president of the SPLC, it was founded by Morris Dees and Joe Levin.. Doesn't the L-E do any fact checking?

---
You know.. Habitat for Humanity here in Columbus was founded to clean up struggling neighborhoods  and make them more esthetically pleasing with new housing.. Recently, the organization moved its "Restore" facility to a location on River Road just north of Veterans.. Currently, it has either all of or the excess inventory of its bathroom fixtures lined up outside on its lawn. You know, yard art is one thing, but dozens of toilets decorating one's yard is an eyesore.

Now that "herstory" has been made in the ranks of the Rangers, let the women get on with their jobs. They did not persevere to be distracted from their goals.

From the City Council Agenda:
1- Second readings — An ordinance amending the “Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia,” by changing the official street name for the section of public roadway currently designated as Gunboat Drive to Chastain Drive, to be one street name consistent with the length of roadway; authorizing the replacement of existing street name signs labeled as Gunboat Drive to Chastain Drive. (District 5 Councilor Mike Baker)" -- Again, Google obviously has made a mistake.. there is no inconsistency of names on a street named Chastain/Gunboat.. Gunboat Drive is the designated name of a road between Milgen and Old Towne , and there is a business referred to as Chastain Properties, but unless Council uses a different map, there is no road segment named Chastain. Save the money, Council.

2- " CONDEMNATION ON PARCELS 19 AND 20 -— WYNNTON ROAD MASTER PLAN — PHASE 1: Approval is requested for the acquisition of parcel 19 and 20, 2435 Wynnton Road for the Wynnton Road Master Plan * Phase I, from Cedar Avenue to Hilton Avenue/13th Street for a temporary easement for county road and/or municipal street purposes and authorize the filing of a Declaration of Taking. This project is funded 80 percent by the Georgia Department of Transportation and 20 percent by Midtown Incorporation. The city will be responsible for service and upkeep after completion of the project." -- Wait a minute.. these are ongoing business sites and are being taken over by a private concern which Mayor TomLYINGson was the former Executive Director, and by using our tax dollars.. not only that, it will cost jobs and eliminate tax revenues that come in from those properties.. Now, if any property in that area needs some "taking over" it's the old "Hilton" homesite  that burned down years ago across from the business site cited.

3- JOHN DEERE 5055E UTILITY TRACTORS — GEORGIA STATE CONTRACT: It is requested that council authorize the purchase of two John Deere 5055E Utility Tractors with attachments, from Deere & Company (Cary, N.C.), at a unit price of $21,714.37, for a total amount of $43,428.74, by cooperative purchase, via Georgia state contract. This equipment will be used by the staff of the Right of Way Maintenance division to assist with cutting the right of ways." -- Do we really need two more tractors? Why not use the ones that look brand new that sit for days without use on the J.R. Allen Parkway intersection properties..

Online story: "NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say a security guard has died after a man walked into a federal building in Manhattan and opened fire.* The guard, identified by his union as Idrisa Camara, died shortly after the shooting Friday evening. * Police say the gunman walked through a side entrance of the building that houses an immigration court and other government offices." -- "walked through the side entrance of the building that houses an immigration court"?  A pattern has emerged.. Obamageddon doesn't adequately protect/defend any entrances involving immigration problems.

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "ISIS No. 2 leader killed in US military drone strike * The White House confirmed on Friday that the extremist group's second in command was killed in an airstrike in Iraq earlier this week. * Death a major blow to Islamic State" -- "a major blow"? Good grief.. the "Hydra" will grow two or three more heads by this morning..

From "deeply imbedded" in the above HuffPOOPOO story: "his removal from the scene is unlikely to affect IS operations or weaken the group and will most likely lead to even tighter security and secrecy around al-Baghdadi" -- so much for the "major blow".

---
From the "let's see if we can rewrite what happened to make more policemen look bad" department - More HuffPOOPOO... uh... POO!: "An autopsy showed that an 18-year-old who was shot and killed by an officer helping serve a search warrant in a violence-plagued neighborhood died from a single wound in the back, police said Friday. * St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson cautioned that the location of Mansur Ball-Bey's wound neither confirms nor disproves two officers' accounts that Ball-Bey pointed a gun at them before they shot at him Wednesday. Dotson said Thursday that a stolen handgun linked to Ball-Bey - with one round in the chamber and 13 more in the magazine - was found at the scene." -- " neither confirms nor disproves two officers' accounts that Ball-Bey pointed a gun at them "? Good grief.. there's actually VIDEO footage of the well-armed teen pointing his gun.. the only reason he was shot in the back was that HE RAN rather than obeyed officers to stop. Who knows how many people were saved by the courageous policemen who did their jobs under extreme mainscream media and political pressures.

---
Online story: "President Barack Obama's nuclear agreement with Iran gained momentum in Congress on Friday as a key Jewish Democrat from New York bucked home-state opposition to back the deal.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler's endorsement followed a personal appeal from Obama, and came despite opposition from New York's senior senator, prominent Democrat Chuck Schumer, and other Jewish members in the New York congressional delegation." -- I usually don't highlight jerks' names, but remember Jerrold NADLER.. N-A-D-L-E-R...he sold his faith, religion, and Israel out with some Obamageddon "deal" that he should know will not be kept. What I do not understand is why even mainscream media thinks that the position of a House Member has any bearing.. on this issue.. the Republicans don't need him in the House, and he's not a Senator.. this is just more Obamageddon's  "tail wagging the dog"...

---
Mainscream media is such a joke when it comes to evaluating "news".. Trump had scheduled a personal appearance in Mobile at a hotel ballroom, but the demand far exceeded capacity so he changed the venue.. more than once, to accommodate demand.. to an outdoor arena/football stadium that could hold 40,000 people.. weather forecasts factored in to the final numbers that actually attended, but mainscream media highlighted that the stadium was "only half full"..."half full".. mainscream media cannot see the forest for the trees... what actually occurred is around 20,000 people showed up.. 20,000 people thought enough about Trump's message that they wanted to be there to hear Trump speak.. to speak what their collective voices think or feel about what mainscream media doesn't understand...

---
L-E headline/story: "Newsweek again lists Columbus High among 'America's Top High Schools' * Newsweek lists the following statistics for Columbus High: 1722 (of 2400= 72% proficiency) average SAT score, 24 (of 36= 67% proficiency) average ACT score" -- Having just celebrated my 50th CHS reunion.. I was somewhat taken aback at the SAT and ACT scores of CHS today.. While they are above average, average means you are either the worst of the best or best of the worst.. To be as top rated nationally with these numbers speaks more of the national state of public education.. and really demonstrates how inadequate the majority of high schools are.

---
Memory Lane moment..I was in Publix yesterday and ran into a former business associate at our store.. Gloria Smalshof.. She'll be 91 in a few days, and looks like she could out run me.

---
Did you hear Porkchop HILL telling supporters she won't get down in the mud to fight political aspersions about her destroying e-mails..Good grief .. "won't get DOWN"? ..guess she doesn't want to climb up from the bottom of the pit.

---
Little People of America has taken offense at the Californian use of labeling small raisins as "Midgets". Does that mean I have to give up on my dream of adding a MG Midget to put in my garage? Do I have to turn in my Willie Mays "Giants" Rookie card?  Oh, and do I have to tell my granddaughter she can no longer call me "Big"?

---
I think Porkchop HILL should give us her description of "anchor babies".. and while she's at it, why not opine on the humane aspect of abortions...especially partial birth abortions.

---
You know,, I do think I know what Porkchop HILL and the Democratic Party call "anchor babies" in private.. "future Democrat voters... at least when they have died and been buried..

---
You know, the Department of Defense should charge Obamageddon with Aiding and Abetting a traitor because he traded 5 known terrorists for Bergdahl.

---
Jonathan Gruber mind-numbed robotic LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Eight years of Bush-Cheney incompetence followed by almost seven years of GOP gridlock with Obama — America hasn’t had a functional government in almost 15 years." -- Good grief.. Do liberals live in locked rooms with communist mantra piped in? On since e doesn't have to search to deep to know that the Senate was been under Democrat control from 2007 to 2014, and that the House was under Democrat control the last two years of Bush43's term, and had a Super-Majority of Democrats during Obamageddon's first two years in office.  Fortunately, the smart American voters dumped the Democrats form power in Congress.. now enough smart voters need to dump Democrats in general in 2016.

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-triple, double-double, extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " From the bottom of my heart I want to thank the majority of MCSD board members who vote with good common sense and are unbiased. Thank you, thank you, thank you." -- This could only been sent in by David Lewis or one of his administrators.. well. L-E fawner, Mark Rice could be a suspect, but what this says to me is Frank Myers and John Thomas are prying the lid off so that light comes in and exposes the mess .. and ills, of the MCSD and MCSB.

---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E soundoff": " Invest millions in air-conditioning school buildings and using them for only nine months out of the year. That’s wasteful and insane." -- Good grief.. If the MCSD went back to the post-Labor Day start, issued a fan for each room in September and May-early June
until dismissal, we could have saved the costs of air conditioners altogether AND cut out GA Power bill to the bone. Air conditioning only has a  22 year history in Columbus Schools , and August starts evolved in an effort to justify the air conditioning.

---
When you get down to it, air conditioning in schools has created the obesity problem.. students are sheltered  from learning to adapt/exist in their everyday environ.

L-E story: "Two U.S. Marines on a train from Paris to Amsterdam apparently broke up what is being investigated as a possible terror attack Friday that injured three people, including one American. * According to the French newspaper Le Monde, the Marines, in civilian clothes at the time, heard “the sound of a heavy weapon being loaded” while passing a bathroom. 8 When a man carrying an AK-47 and a pistol emerged, they confronted and disabled him. During the scuffle, the suspect managed to fire three shots, according to reports * The suspect was described as a 26-year-old Moroccan. * Le Monde quoted French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet as saying that it was too early to know whether the incident was a terrorist attack. * “We do not know the motives of his actions,” Brandet was quoted as saying. “At this time, talking about a terrorism motive is premature.” -- "We do not know the motives of his actions,” (French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry) Brandet was quoted as saying. “At this time, talking about a terrorism motive is premature."? Good grief.. did French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet intern under Obamageddon and/or Pric Holder?

---
L-E's "Quotable": “One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.”
 - Golda Meir Israeli political leader (1898-1978)" -- Obviously Golda Meir could not get a job with any mainscream media source or a job teaching at a college if she was still living today. Nor would she support the Democratic Party.  Note: Let's see if the L-E scraps this feature.. obviously, the L-E no longer has a "proof reader" on staff to screen out truth such as this..

---
L-E headline: "GEORGIA FOOTBALL * Chigbu brings size to Georgia’s receiving" -- Good grief.. wanna bet how long it will be before the "political correct police" (Sharlatan, White House, DOJ, and mainscream media) will be demanding he change his name?

The local newspaper is filled with sport stories we are connected with.. Larry Mize is leading the Champions Tour event.. Larry is a longtime personal friend of our family (and my bride teed up with him on their high school golf team), the Taylors, SC Little League All_Stars at Williamsport are from my nephews hometown, and one of my bride's former GAs *Girls in Action at FBC of Columbus, GA) homered. doubled, and knocked in 3 runs as her high school team opened up a softball tournament.

Friday, August 21, 2015

Our Mayor TomLYINGson, a.k.a. Queen TT,  doesn't feel we pay enough  property taxes.. thankfully that's only her stinking opinion, but then again, she's a raging Democrat. The graph below  ranks the states by property tax percents.. The highest taxed state is New Jersey at .0238 percent of property value; the lowest taxed state is Hawaii with .0028 percent. The average property tax in GA falls in the middle (#27 in ranking) at .0095. Now, let's look at Columbus, GA specifically.. even with the homestead exemption, our home is taxed at .0151 percent.. that's almost 59% higher than the average in GA.. in fact, compared to the state rankings, where GA is 27th, if Columbus were a state, it would be the 14th highest property taxed state in the country. Keep the freeze!

With the revelation that Obamageddon's "deal" with Iran is highlighted by Iran inspecting its nuclear facilities itself has to make us thankful that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are not in charge of confirmation..if so, we'd get another dose of "you have to pass it do we can find out what's in it" legislation like OObamaCRAP.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Obama Writes Letter To Sway Wavering Democrats On Iran Deal" -- "writes letter"?Guess Obamageddon didn't want Russia, China, and Iran to be able to retrieve it off the White House server... that or either Obamageddon feels if he made it a hard copy, none of the Democrats or mainstream media would actually take the time to read it.

---
Government doesn't have a dog in the fight concerning jobs shipped overseas. If Congress wants more money without giving more value for it, then it's OK for businesses to protect owner interests.

---
HuffPOOPOO inflammatory biased "headlie": "Racial unrest in St. Louis erupts as cops kill black teen" -- Good grief.. the "teen" was 18, is videoed aiming his gun at the police, and the police responded in an appropriate manner to protect citizens on the streets and themselves. Maybe the police would be smarter, or better served, just to pick off mainscream media types before they distort the truth

---
The movie industry is about to take a nose dive... Regal Cinemas just announced it was going to have backpack/purse checks for movie goers. The claim is they are searching for weapons, but we all know the desire is to stop movie goers from bringing in their favorite candies because the movie theaters charge $4.00 for a $1.00 box you can buy at retailers. I know it's going to effect us if Carmike follows suit.. we don't mind the refillable overpriced Coca Cola.. and are OK with the exorbitant price of popcorn, and we can live with those because it's part of the experience, but we have to have our candy, and I am not going to buy it at the ridiculous prices theaters charge. Guess we'll sign up for some PPV movies channels and just pop our own popcorn or (if time) just run to the nearest theater and get our bucket refilled and take it home instead.

---
President Carter's cancer revealings... While we certainly pray for him, it's fair to wonder, at his age, if he was covered by OObamaCRAP , would he get the same treatments, or would he be subject to panel review at his age?

---
Look at who's learning how to campaign Trump-style, but with diplomacy... Bobby Jindal was sounding presidential in a positive manner on a Fox interview yesterday.. Looks like he's recovered from the Republican  response to that Obamageddon State of the Union speech when Jindal looked/sounded like he was a deer frozen in the headlights of an oncoming car.

---
Did you see the videos from St Louis/Ferguson...the ones showing blacks shooting at police who are not wearing body armor or helmets? How much more are our police going to have to tolerate? This is as bad as our military being denied the ability to engage in preemptive fire with the Taliban, Al Qaida, and ISIS  when obvious danger is encountered.

---
Heard a Obamageddon spinmeister say that the Director of National Security had been consulted about Porkchop HILL's wiped e-mail server. You know, I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about what anyone appointed by Obamageddon says  about everything being "fine".

---
In 1992, President Bush41 was labeled as having trouble presenting himself to the electorate as a man in touch with middle-class life because he said he didn't understand how a grocery scanner worked.  On the other hand, the Clintons were elevated to being a younger generation on top of the technology world. Now, 23 years later, the mainscream media is wanting to let Hillary to "get away" with being a naive little woman who doesn't know what "wiping" a server is about instead of the "smartest woman in the world "who doesn't know how the digital world works"..  Porkchop HILL is not the person we want answering the TELEGRAPH machine at 3:00 AM.

---
Jonathan Gruber double-triple extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   Myers and Thomas are making a laughingstock of our school board." -- Huh?  I think the previous board and the carry-over members have done a good job on their own at becoming a "laughgingstock".. Thomas and Myers are just making sure the public knows about it.

---
Word out is that "Caitlyn" Jenner could be facing jail time for vehicular homicide.. no wonder Bruce wants to dress in drag.. he wants to go to a women's prison!

---
L-E's " Thought for Today, “I don’t measure America by its achievement but by its potential.” — Shirley Chisholm, American politician (1924-2005).

---
From the "Letters to the Editor" section of the Columbus L-E: Judy F. Brouillette, chair of the Muscogee County Democratic Party writes: " It is patently obvious that Republicans hate so-called “entitlements,” even though Social Security and Medicare recipients have been paying into those programs their entire working lives." -- Good grief.. no one but Democrats consider Social Security and Medicare entitlement programs.. Republicans would like to separate those two from being "bunched in" with the giveaway programs so Democrats cannot scare seniors at election time. I tell you what.. Clint Eastwood had a good time with Obama's chair.. Clint Eastwood would have a FIELD DAY with the Muscogee County Democratic Party's "chair"

L-E headline: "Columbus Tech cuts ribbon on adult education department" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought Columbus Tech was offering remedial courses of becoming an adult for too many local school graduates.
