Online story: "The recent terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., have vaulted terrorism and national security to become the American public's top concern, and they've helped drive President Barack Obama's job rating to 43 percent -- its lowest level in more than a year," -- Hmmm... this tells me three things.. one we've always known.. that Democrats will support Democrats regardless , secondly,  that a serious third party candidate will get the Democrat nominees elected, and thirdly there are 57% of the country who will elect a strong, tell-it-like-it-is Republican.

I thought Musk was supposed to be "super smart" but if he thinks WWIII is what could stop his dream, he hasn't thought about the two simplest conditions that will doom Mars from colonization.. where would you go for a vacation, and poor cell-phone services with huge bills.

I applaud MLB for standing firm.. I also think Pete Rose should be inducted before any player known to have used PEDs (performance enhancing drugs).

Hmmm, maybe the Secret Service and Hawaiian White House staff should take the afternoon off as well.. Come to think about it,, do Secret Service agents and the Obama's personal staff get any consideration about spending their Christmas in Washington, D.C. with their families or having to go to Hawaii?

If you're not solely motivated to make America "great", no one has any business running for president.. in fact, why is there even a Democrat running for the office? Has anyone heard any of those candidates running on anything but personal issues designed to get oddball voters on board?

From the "cutting your own throat" department - Online headline: "Seattle city council votes to allow Uber, Lyft drivers to unionize" -- Good grief.. the one condition that has allowed competition for Taxi Companies is now eliminated. It was high fares that gave independent drivers their "in" in the "ride business". Next will be that Uber/LYFT drivers will have to have their cars inspected for safety and suitability, and new commercial licenses for drivers.

It's pathetic to imagine, much less read about the FBI being involved in a ransom payoff to al Qaida for Bergdahl, but knowing he's going to be tried for desertion  takes some of the sting out of it.. now we just need Congress to connect the dots between the FBI and the White House for conspiracy.

Just looking at what happened last night, it seems that there could possibly been some "pre-discussion" among the 6 on the lawyers issue.. I find it hard to believe that none of the other 6 "wavered" on this enough not to want to table it for further discussion...

In addition, what projects will not be completed because the $192,185,000.00 tax collection is a finite figure.

There are a number of cases, including one here that "witnesses" have voiced concern that the victim of a police shooting was running away.. DOH! Yeah... running away carrying the gun he has used/brandished, or threatened to use, and who knows what might have happened to someone the "victim" met in his armed flight.

Hmmm.. sounds the bicyclist was not observing the laws under which bicycles and automobiles share. As a one-time avid rider myself, even when carefully observing all the rules of the road, it behooves a bicyclist to be very concerned about "defensive driving" at all times.
