In a speech in Minnesota, G.I. JILLary is supposed to have "outlined" her plans to destroy ISIS... she  calls it her "360-degree strategy"... Hmmm.. she'd better be planning a "24/7/365" plan.

---
During that speech, G.I. JILLary also said, "comments by people like Trump are not only anti-American but "dangerous," since they erode trust with the Muslim-American community at home and Muslim allies abroad."  -- "erode the trust with the Muslim-American community"? "Muslim allies abroad"? DOH.. I think the Muslims here and abroad have created their own atmosphere of distrust... and disrepect.

At this point, relegating third-tier, low polling Republican candidates to another arena reminds me of the fraternity rush party of the prestigious Omega Theta Pi  when Flounder and Pinto and every other "nerd" are constantly diverted from the main party into a room occupied only by the other also-rans.

Online headline: "John Kerry:United States stands ready to work with Russia" --  How pathetic.. Kerry sounds like the target of the playground bully who hopes that if he does the bully's homework, and voluntarily gives the bully his lunch money, the bully will keep him around without punching him anymore.

Online story: "A Massachusetts jury on Tuesday found a teenager guilty of raping and murdering a math teacher at his suburban high school in 2013, after about nine hours of deliberations.  * In finding 16-year-old P***** C**** guilty, the jury rejected the defense's argument that he was suffering from a psychotic episode at the time of the 2013 attack and therefore not criminally responsible for his actions." -- "the defense's argument that he was suffering from a psychotic episode at the time of the 2013 attack and therefore not criminally responsible for his actions"? The ABA should have its own "SWAT" team ("Sorry, Wimpy Attorney Termination" Team) to take out any lawyer who postulates that any weird action is excusable.

---
Online story: "A wintry chill was taking hold Tuesday in the Southwest, where forecasters warned of freezing temperatures in the desert and wind that could kick up freshly fallen snow in mountainous areas.
The chilly predictions follow storms that moved across the West this week and dumped several inches of snow in northern Arizona," -- Hmmm.. bet this picked up votes or Trump in Arizona...( hint: "when it freezes over")

---
Online story: "Over 200 women have joined a class action lawsuit against WEN by Chaz Dean, and marketing company Guthy-Renker, claiming it causes hair loss, breakage, scalp irritation and rash." -- Yes! Now maybe those awfyul "infomercials" will disappear!

---
I only watched a few moments of the debate on CNN, but was turned off by CNN allowing "audience reactions" during the debate.. If CNN wanted to do a "cage match".. charge admission for the audience, and offer it pay-per-view.. but don't allow prejudicial, disruptive rants out over the airways.

HuffPOOPOO story: "Saudi Arabia has -- or claims to have-- assembled an anti-terror coalition. Comprising of thirty-four Muslim states, the coalition will feature both Arab and non-Arab states and will most likely join forces to fight Daesh. Little details are available on the contours, strategy and goals of the emerging alliance. Participating states have not offered any details either. Nevertheless, even the semblance of such an alliance taking shape should be taken as a positive development." -- "Saudi Arabia has--or claims to have"?  Good grief.. Redd Foxx would be having a heart attack if he heard HuffPOOPOO questioning why the Muslim countries aren't already heavily involved in denouncing ISIS and offering refugee relief!

Way to go. scientists... NOT! A giant salamander guesstimated to be possibly 200 years old, was found in a cave in China  *  The salamander, which was discovered in the city of Chongqing, measures more than 4.5 feet in length and weighs over 100 pounds,.. Of note is that such specimens have an average lifespan of 80 years in the wild or 55 years in captivity * Of stupidity, the salamander has been transferred to a special research facility for study and protection." -- Good grief.. let the salamander live out its life where he's been super-successful rather than putting it under a microscope where the species' life span is bout 50% shorter than in their natural environment.

HuffPOOPOO story: "Conservative media guru Matt Drudge stepped out of the shadows on Tuesday night when he attended the year's last Republican presidential debate.  * The 'Drudge Report' creator rarely makes public appearances so viewers were quick to point him out  * According to CNN, Drudge was sitting with fellow conservative commentator Ann Coulter. They were both wearing great hats." -- God grief.. CNN spots Matt Drudge at its debate and all CNN and HuffPOOPOO can comment on is his hat?

Yesterday, I was leaving my neighborhood at 4:45 PM.. across the intersection was a MCSD bus waiting to turn south on River Road.. the bus was pretty full. My guess was that the bus was dropping off middle school students at the two apartment complexes in the 6000 area. You know.. middle schools end the day at 3:25.. Those kids had been in transit for a hour and 20 minutes... and were still not home..this is what busing has done .. it has eaten up the day for children to do their homework... let's scrap all but the necessary busing by getting back to neighborhood school placements.

Was in Publix Monday, and went to check out. The cashier at the lane I entered "warned" me that her current transaction was WIC and going to be lengthy, and try the next line. There were two people in front of me. The lady next to me finished about the same time as I did. She was dressed to the nines. She had two carts and was making multiple transactions. At the end of one, she made a call and mentioned the amount of transaction, then slid a card in and it was approved. Another call was made after more food was rung up, and again she made a call, a figure was mentioned the another card was swiped and was approved. Then another group of food was rung up, and she handed the cashier 3 $100.00 bills. At that time, my transaction finished and I took.my cart out to the parking lot to my truck. I opened the back hatch, and at that time I saw that woman, with two Public employees pushing two shopping carts of food to the car next to mine. ..and it was a fine car..a 2014/2015 Buick lacrosse sedan with chrome wheels. I think we do need a safety net for people who have hit a hard time in their lives, but seeing what I saw just turns my stomach when I hear Democrats promising more of the same to get votes.

That debacle decision to close the entire Los Angeles School System just speaks droves about the inefficient policies of liberals. They fail to be prepared to handle unexpected chaos, so they panic. They gave no respect to the parents of 740,000 students as to.what they would have to do to have to take care of their children's immediate needs. So are the pitfalls of liberalism and sanctuary city mentality.

From the "remember that Texas high school football game when two players blindsided a a referee" department - Online story: "BURNET, Texas –  A former assistant high school football coach was sentenced to probation Monday after pleading guilty to assault for an attack on a game referee by two of his players.
  *  Mack Breed, former assistant football coach at John Jay High School in San Antonio, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge in a Burnet County court. County Court-at-law Judge Linda Bayless sentenced Breed to 18 months of probation, fined him $1,500 and ordered him to serve 120 hours of community service and pay restitution to referee Robert Watts.  *  Breed also must forfeit his Texas teaching certificate permanently and attend anger management sessions," -- The penalty still wasn't enough.. both of players individually should have been stripped of any high school sports participation, plus the football program should have been ended for 4 years until the freshman class has graduated. There should be no after thoughts of such being justified. Also, the coach himself should have been charged with a racial hate crime..

Online story: "Georgia energy regulators will decide in May whether to approve the proposed merger of Atlanta-based Southern Co. with AGL Resources Inc.  * The state Public Service Commission (PSC) voted Tuesday to schedule hearings on the mega-deal in March, April and early May, followed by a decision on May 24.  *  Southern’s acquisition of AGL Resources for $12 billion, announced last August, would create the biggest electric and gas utility in the nation, with 9 million customers in 11 states, 11 regulated electric and natural gas distribution companies and a projected $50 billion rate base." -- Good grief.. how can a mega-monopoly be good for the consumer? The Supreme Court broke up Standard Oil in the 30's and AT&T in the 80's because no company should decide what is the competitive rate for "utilities" that have no competition. Even averaging rates for 11 states will mean most of the states will pay higher than justified rates while 1-to-4 of the states will benefit from the lower average.  Make sue you let the PSC know your feelings and know you vote.

Online headline/story: "Buford schools make financial errors, audit shows   * Buford school district officials are improperly recording revenues and expenses, according to a recently released audit. * The audit of the school district’s fiscal year 2014 finances, released late Friday by the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts," -- Need there be any more discussion about the merits of forensic audits?

L-E story: " Columbus Councilor Pops Barnes told more than 100 swimmers and supporters hoping to keep the Columbus Aquatic Center fully open that “we will make it happen.” -- Now, if we can only get Pop Barnes to reassure the taxpayers that he will make it profitable or revenue neutral. A self-sustaining facility is an asset.. a revenue drain is an albatross.

Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": ": Did it occur to anyone that Donald Trump as president will have less influence on Congress than he has now when he can send his lobbyists to influence them?" -- Good grief.. All Trump has to do is what Obamageddon has trained Congress to do... layover and play dead when he writes an Executive Order.. or in Trump "speak".. "You're fired!".
---
Jonathan Gruber incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "What scares me is that the misguided nationalism that could end up getting Trump elected could just as easily elect an ISIS leader, a communist, a Black Panther, or another Hitler."  - Hmmm... none of those compare with the re-election of Obamageddon.
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: " In 1950, President Harry S. Truman proclaimed a national state of emergency in order to fight “world conquest by Communist imperialism.” -- Good grief.. Truman is rolling over in his grave realizing he would have to do the same thing to curtail the Obamageddon.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today, “It’s discouraging to think how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit.” — Sir Noel Coward, English actor, playwright, composer (born this date, 1899; died in 1973)." -- Sir Noel Coward would be flabbergasted by today's Democrat voters.
---

L-E editorial content: "   Longtime readers of the Ledger-Enquirer are probably aware of our long-standing support for U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga. We have endorsed him repeatedly, praised him frequently and criticized him but rarely. He is a public servant of effectiveness and integrity.  *  Georgia needs somebody to run against him." -- Hmmm.. rarely do I agree with the L-E on politics, but on this I do.. the fact that the L-E supports Isakson is plenty of reason that the Republicans need to field an opponent in the primary.

From the "how much longer is the Columbus L-E going to promote a lie" department - L-E "headlie/"story": "Friends of Claflin launch $10 million campaign for funds  * Organization gets keys to building, needs volunteers * By ALVA JAMES-JOHNSON ajjohnson@ledger-enquirer.com   * A group trying to restore the dilapidated Claflin school building on Fifth Avenue launched a $10 million fundraising campaign Tuesday as they stood on the historic property where black children were first educated in Columbus. * “One-hundred-fifty years ago, in 1865, a group of local citizens concerned about the welfare of former slaves began the work to establish the first school for African Americans in Columbus,” said (Richard) Jessie, standing in front of the building marred by broken windows, boarded up doors and graffiti."  -- Once again, the oft published picture of the marker that stands near the site of the first school in Columbus that educated black students
