Columbus' Mayor TomLYINGson has no leg to stand on when to go after Sheriff Darr on the budget "overruns". Sheriff Darr can produce court and federal mandates responsible for  the millions it takes to run his office, but Mayor TomLYINGson can produce nothing for the many more millions she has taken out of our fund balance previous Mayors were diligently responsible in building but her personal whims and follies.

From the "flip flop" department: How is it the Republican labeled representative of the 133rd District  in Muscogee County is teaming up with Democratic Party Mayor TomLYINGson in support of raising property taxes on all Columbus citizen? Sadly, he's running unopposed in November.. obviously the Republican Party didn't anticipate his "treasonous" departure from party ideals, and the Democrats knew, so the party didn't run someone against one of its own. John PezOLD needs a new name.  A fitting historical one.. and ___OLD one.. I got it .. Benedict ArnOLD. When you vote this time, whether early, by absentee ballot or on Election Day, write in ""Benedict ArnOLD" if you live in  the 133rd District.

L-E "headLIE/story": "Muscogee County delivers record SAT performance * The 2016 SAT scores were released on Wednesday. The Muscogee County School District’s composite score is its highest to date." -- Good grief.. calling it an all time record based only on the years when the 3rd part was added (and BTW, many schools do not consider the composition aspect as it's not objective) is pure deceit! But what's most revealing is the drop at the crowning school of the system. Columbus High.. have the political correct practices of the MCSD administration started deteriorating the one crown jewel? In addition, 5 of the high schools had a drop and it would probably been 6, had Jordan even had enough students who took the test.

I thanked him for his service." -- As bad as the L-E is at screen obviously false info, this pretty much takes the cake. and the L-E owes this community a search of such drivel and publish the name of the writer and show the tax digest for his/her property and what the next door neighbors paid. According to the Muscogee County Board of Assessor's web site, a home paying $27.000 in taxes over 4 years with a Homestead exemptiom would have to be valued at around $275,000.00 so the L-E should be able to find the info reasonably quick. As for the writer.. whatta (_*_) for gloating!
