You know.. when hey showed Hellary walking out of Chelsea's apartment following her collapse while leaving the 9-11-01 Remembrance on Sunday, there no Secret Service agents at her side.. Even stranger, was not one Secret Service agent moved.. nor blinked an eye when that unattended child broke out and ran to Hellary.. Strange.. especially in these days of children being used as suicide bombers  in cultures Hellary embraces.  More than likely,, this scene was simply a "set up" staged to look like a cute response.. but why weren't her parents called in to "meet" Hellary/pose for a selfie? One prominent Columbus woman bought a home in a gated community in 2011 for $575,000.00 and it's now assessed at $563,159.00 has a H1  exemption (freeze), and is paying $8,744.67 in property taxes this year. A prominent retired Columbus banker bought a similar sized home in the same gated neighborhood less than a year ago for "frozen" $725,000.00, yet his home is assessed at $557,417.00 and is paying "only" $8.649.93 in property taxes. The tax freeze is not the problem.. inefficiency at the tax assessor's office is.

A letter from Tollie Strode (for you movie and football buffs, Tollie's uncle is Woody Strode!) is right on and current homeowners who aren't legal buddies of Mayor TomLYINGson should take heed, and vote "NO" on the Tax Thaw referendum. Another letter from Milton Jones needs to be parsed:

Jones, a longtime attorney here in Columbus,  is passing along slightly skewed information. Yes, he has lived there for a l-o-n-g time, and if the tax office is correct, it looks like he hasn't made any improvements since he added a sprinkler system in 1987, and is assessed at a $155,552.00 , which, with more than needed modernizations to put it in current market competitiveness is pretty close to what it will sell for.. maybe less if he sells if the Tax Thaw passes. Yes, his tax bill is for $747.17.. a far cry from the $100.00 or less figure Mayor TomLYINGson's minions are purporting is the norm for older homes. In fact, Mr' Jone's contention that young families with school aged children are being penalized and pay more pales when ypu think of Mr. Jones having paid $747.17  with no children in the MCSD system. and when he did have have children there, his tax liability was probably higher dollar-wise than current purchasers. Now let's look at his neighbors situations.. right next door is a house that was bought out of foreclosure in 2015 for $135,000.00 who sold it to T&H Properties who "flipped it to ... get this .. another lawyer.. for it looks like $239.000.00  in April of 2016. Taxes for 2016 are $2,227.54. The next house belongs to.. get this.. another lawyer, who bought it for $159,000.00 in 1988, has made some improvements and it's now assessed at $189,241.00 and pays $1691.34 in taxes. The next neighbor.. (whom I cannot tell whether he is a lawyer or not) just bought in March of this year for $219,000.00 which is more in line with Milton Jones' current value if he modernizes his own home. The new buyer pays $3,000.00. Now, what has stopped Milton Jones from removing his Freeze Value so his home is not protected, or simply donating his "guilt" in voluntary taxes.  Get ready for a barrage of letters like Jones' as the Mayor and the L-E up. Columbus homeowners. you, me, we. can stop this once and for all by voting "NO" in November.
