Online story: "By pledging to immediately invest $20 billion in school choice, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump provided the first detailed proposal of his education agenda. * "There's no failed policy more in need of urgent change than our government run education monopoly," Trump said at a speech in Cleveland, Ohio. "I want every single inner-city child in America who is today trapped in a failing school to have the freedom, the civil right, to attend the school of their choice." -- And you know what.. teachers will benefit as much or more than students.. which increases the pluses for the students.

---
What should excite all voters is that Mike Pence, Gov of Indiana as well as Trump's running mate, is a successful proponent of the school voucher system. In fact, Indiana's voucher system, under Pence's leadership, is now one of the largest in the US.

---
You know.. I've always heard the term  "yellow dog Democrats:, but until this year, I really hadn't understood the depth of it's effect on this nation.. it was coined in the late 1800s as Southern voters would vote for a "yellow dog" before any Republican. In 2016, never has the Democratic Party put a more ye;;ow dog on the ballot than Hellary.. ..you know, it wasn't that long ago that Hellary was actually videoed at an event barking like a dog...

---
It's almost embarrassing how ineffective Hellary is after all her experiences that she cannot comfort even her own party about how corrupt she was in her e-mail quandries, and now we find that Colin Powell has stepped in his own e-mail dog doo as well.

Online headline/story: "Wal-Mart is under fire for controversial 9/11 tribute *  Walmart is under fire for using packages of soda cans as a tribute to 9-11 ahead of the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the US. * A Florida Walmart arranged the packages to look like the twin towers, according to a photo tweeted by shopper Shawn Richard on Monday. * A printed sign hung above the display advertising Walmart's rollback prices for the soft drinks. Another sign hanging above the display read "We will never forget" with a photo of the twin towers and the logos for Walmart and Coca-Cola."  -- Good grief.. Walmart and Coca Cola should be revered for their efforts, and all those who have "twitted" otherwise should have their names added to the "no  fly" list for ever!

Online headline: "Kim Jong-un makes bold move, bans one form of speech... sarcasm" -- "sarcasm"?  Hmmm.. betcha ZERO-bama's pen has already being "warmed up" for his next Executive Order...

---
It looks like Hellary was caught wearing an earpiece during the Matt Lauer Hour this week. Obviously she wore it to receive information from her staff, as she certainly doesn't wear a hearing aid to help her hear the needs of America.

---
You know, when 2016 began, the presidential race was Hellary's to lose..you know.. it looks like she might actually do this...ironically, it will be the only accomplishment she can write about in her memoirs that actually helped America

---
I just saw some leftist poll that shows Hellary with 83% of the non-college minority vote and Trump with 10% of the same. Hmmm.. you know, as it stands.. there's 17% of such minorities that aren't in Hellary's camp anymore, and that just months ago the number was barely 8%.

Online headline: "Meryl Streep, J.J. Abrams team for TV adaptation of 'The Nix'" -- Hmmm.. can tell you right now, my household will but"the nix" on the "Strep".

---
Online headline/story: "HOPE, Zell Miller scholarships don’t benefit most, analysis finds * Financial aid, such as HOPE scholarships, has been falling in Georgia as the costs of college rise rapidly. Students are having to take out more and larger loans to finish their education, according to a new economic study." -- Good grief.. what did you expect once legislators and educators learned how much money  was in the scholarship fund..the college only fund quickly became the provider for pre-K  publicly funded baby-sitting services, and college learned that they could add many more teachers to their staffs to teach remedial courses to students who could get HOPE money due to social diplomas but didn't have the ability to take college course after weak high school programs. Throw in the fact that colleges have learned how to tack on $1,000s of mandatory fees each semester that aren't covered by HOPE. Hmmm it seems "HOPE" has expanded into "HOPELESS".

Oh, one of Mayor TomLYINGson's "legal buddies" has been granted a special "conservation tax favor" on 83+ acres he bought last year off Hubbard Road.. the property is valued at $626,400 yet will only pay $643.03 in taxes this year. Seems this prime residental area has been granted a 10 year "conservation"  status for 10 years at reduced tax liability while the property value grows expotentially in eal estate value for residential development at the end of the 10 years.

---
Oh.. one other issue to look into.. Historic exemptions.. I'm looking at a number of Eagle & Phenix (though there are other projects) owners who have historic exemptions/tax breaks on their condos, yet have another Columbus residence with a H1 exemption.. Certainly there should be a way that make sure no one owner can benefit from both exemptions at the same time.. And the same goes for people and LLC's who own multiple units (you have to say "rentals") at the Eagle & Phenix.. only one such unit should be able to qualify for any exemptions.

---
USAA built a nice new building in Columbus about 3 years ago,.. unfortunately, USAA built it on the corner of Veterans and Whittlesey Road which is years behind in getting the expansion/widening finished. USAA says its customers are using computers and mobile apps to conduct business so it is closing up shop.Of course the USAA customers are avoiding the new location simply because it's impossible to ingress/egress during most daylight hours...the construction as made it another victim of the GA DOT.

L-E headline/story: "University of Oregon to strip ex-KKK leader’s name from dorm *  President Michael Schill said he based his recommendation to rename Dunn Hall on dialogue, logic and research, and he concluded “it would be inconsistent with our values to have a building named after an exalted cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan.”" -- Wow.. then the state of West Virginia is in big trouble.. most cities and highways have the name of Robert Byrd, late Democrat Senator and KKK Grand PooPah plastered over many public buildings and highway sections.

FTR - For several days, I was "blocked" by FaceBook for "an "Excessive_Access_Violation".I did question FB about it and have been "vindicated".. I can only think of one particular "pro-Thaw"  RINO who might have made such a claim.. but here's to the truth finding the light of day.

---
L-E headline: "$3 million in jewels missing from Drake tour bus" -- Good grief.. does nayone believe that anyone would keep $3,000,000.00 worth of jewelry in a briefcase on a bus and not have it handcuffed to armed security and a couple of other bodyguards? Hope the insurance company asks this question.

Though I'm sure it was not the intent of Wiley Miller, his Non Sequitur cartoon of the day could be the teaching chart used at Democrat run voter registration drives.
