From the "mainscream media's jaw just hit the floor" department -
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poll: President Trump's approval rating is on the rise" --
Trump just hit a 52% "approval rating" in the Morning Consult/Politico poll..
coincides with his release of his 1st budget which increases military spending
and cuts in domestic programs.. America sure does respond to support
leadership.

Hey, y'all.. id you catch any of Trump's Detroit and Nashville meetings yesterday? He's doing these sit-downs/rallies FOR US.. US as in "us" AND the "US". He wants "us" to know that we are not in the minority or fringe.. we are the majority, and wants us to "feel" good about" having him as our president and leader. Don't let mainscream media's anger and angst demoralize you.. support him in public..
---
You know.. America's greatness works best when we all share the best of our cultures by showing others why it not only is special to us, but how blessed they will be when they understand it and build upon it in their lives.. The chink in the armor to this is when groups segregate themselves and their culture from the rest of us..
---
Did you see the s***-eating grin on Trump's face when he said we might be surprised what "might" come out about his being eavesdropped on during the campaign and time before he took office. It was the same as he watched Rachel Maddow embarrass herself telling the world about his 2005 taxes.
---
Teachers are getting paid too much! Well, at least one I know of is, ..she is paying a high school teenager to grade her elementary grade test papers. You know, when I taught, I looked forward to grading student tests...it kept me closer to whether they were grasping the work they were learning, and enabled me to help them better.... and quicker.
---
Oh.. Trump has missed overturning the most racially directed tax Obama created.. the "indoor tanning tax".
---
Karl Rove is desperate...Was watcjhing him on Fox Business yesterday and he's trying to be relevant in the Republican world but Trump doesn't want/need him.
---
It's amazing how eager Democrats are to be "invited to the table" since Republicans control both houses and the White House..Where was their eagerness to "invite" Republicans "to the table" when they were in control? More importantly, what do Democrats even have that would be valuable to "bring to the table"?
---
Why is it that mainscream media believes Democrats who speak out that Trump is "guilty" because they haven't "seen" any "evidence" that any wire-tapping occurred. These are the same Democrats who defend O0bamaCRAP even though they didn't "see" it before they voted for it. Besides, "intentionally closing one's eyes" to the truth doesn't mean it didn't happen.

State Rep John Pezold of District 133 is anti Columbus and GA businesses. He supports the no-sales-taxes on Internet businesses from other states which penalizes local and other GA based businesses who pay property taxes, have to charge/collect local and state sales taxes, and provide jobs..
On the converse, my bride just ordered some things from Pottery Barn.. (which does have a building in GA so it "has" to charge GA/local sales taxes).. after looking at the receipt, I noticed that not only did Pottery Barn charge and collect the GA/local sales taxes on the goods she bought, we were also charged sales taxes on the "shipping and processing" charges. Now that's a law that needs changing.. Oh, and Pezold doesn't want to have GA/local sales taxes on Uber rides (but he's not trying to remove it on what taxi cabs
collect from riders.
---
Oh, Pezold's "excuse" for not wanting sales taxes to be charged on Internet purchases is that it will bring in "$500,000.00" in sales taxes that aren't accounted for in the state budget. Hmmm.. well, Pezold, how about bringing that revenue on into the GA revenue stream, and CUT other tax/fee revenues that are being charged to GA residents!.
You know, when Pezold says he's against people paying GA/local sales taxes on Internet sales, because it would bring in $500,000.00 in revenue, what he's really saying is that Georgians are buying $12,500,000.00 worth of merchandise from businesses operating on the internet rather than spending that money within the state where all Georgians would benefit.
---
Oh! How about that Snoop Dogg video where he "shoots" an effigy of President Trump? Imagine mainscream media outrage and DOJ investigations if the same were done with an Obama effigy?.. Well, imagine mainscream media outrage and DOJ investigations if the same was done by an NRA official to an Obama effigy?

L-E headline: "Study: Columbus among least ‘Happiest Places to Live’ in America" -- Personally, I love Columbus.. but that's because I have lived here all my life, and KNOWt Columbus is capable of if we get "concerned-for-the present & future" leadership.. but, what do you expect from a city that builds bike trails when our roads are disasterous, our Republican politicians are poster children for Democrats, our voters chose "lying Hellary" by 58%, our mayor spends $244,000.00 on an outdoor bathroom, our schools are below the state averages, and the state is in the bottom 40 percentile of the other states, and we have programs at the jail that cut criminals loose early... Oh, and add the sentiments of another L-E reader: "We have a new pool that is opened sometimes. When it it is closed you can swim in the potholes and dips in the roads. We have the Riverwalk where if you do not get accosted by a homeless person up on the Middle north part you are lucky.I have a creek by my house the city quit maintaining a few years back that is now ready to collapse on itself. When it rains it is a major tributary. They come out and look and say it is too big of a job to fix now. I do not know why we are so low.

Online headline: "Janet Yellen just made an unsettling admission about the economy * The Fed chair just killed that kind of confidence for any move going forward. Yellen was talking about the lack of economic progress since the Fed's last meeting in January. She went further though, saying that the Fed doesn't see any evidence that the optimism of a record-breaking stock market has made its way into spending by companies or people." -- "the Fed chair... doesn't see any evidence that the optimism"? Good grief.. she's an Obama appointee!.. and she cannot... more like "will not" see past her nose! Looks like it's "retirement time" for her.

Online headline: "Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” has been pulled from release in Malaysia, even though the country’s official censors approved the release after cutting a well-publicized “gay moment” from the film." -- Hmmm.. WikiPedia states: "The constitution makes Malaysia a secular country and guarantees freedom of religion, while establishing Islam as the "religion of the Federation" to symbolise its importance to Malaysian society. The king is generally seen as the defender of the faith in the country and members of the royal family may lose certain privileges if they leave Islam and convert to another religion." Hmmm, and I wonder what Disney is doing in Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Iran and Syria..the countries now under Trump's "entry ban"?

L-E story: "Soccer is the most played team sport but the national sport consists of Gaelic football and hurling." -- Know about soccer, not too sure what "Gaelic football" is, but I imagine the "hurling" is the National pastime before the Irish go to bed on March 17th.. (boo hiss to those offended.. my family surname, Kirven, actually translates to "Black Irish".. Top o' the morning to ya!

While it will not overtake the "soundoff" by the guy that wants "2 Falcons,
2 Braves, and 2 Bulldogs as pallbearers so they can let him down one more time",
this "soundoff" is definitely in contention for 2nd Place in the all-time L-E
"soundoffs" records: "Nancy Pelosi said: "We have to pass it to find out what’s
in it." A physician said: "In my business, that's the definition of a stool
sample." That pretty much sums it up."

L-E headline/story: "Man shot during ‘Tickle Me Tuesday’ sues After 5
Sports Bar & Grill * J**** H****** of Columbus was dancing after the Jan. 24
comedy act at “Tickle Me Tuesday” when he heard a lot pop around 11:30 p.m. He
said he immediately felt a pain in his leg, but he didn’t know it was a gunshot
wound until later that night. * H****** drove home to his wife and showed her
the wound. She told him it was a bullet wound, and he had his father drive him
to Midtown Medical Center for treatment." -- Drove home to his wife after being
at a bar dancing at 11:30? I think I might have to probe more into his claims of
where he was when he felt the pain in his leg.

Glad to see Randy Robertson step up and enter the race to replace.. well
follow Josh McKoon.. Josh will be hard to "replace", but I sure support Randy in
his quest!

We should thank Richard Hyatt for shining the light on the MCSD's handing..
uh.. MISHANDING.. of the incident that ultimately cost a young man his leg.
What we don't need is for the taxpayers to be penalized by being sued for the
misconduct of many individual MCSD employees/contractors. Hope the legal team
asks the courts to dismiss us taxpayers from the list of defendants, so any jury
findings will hurt the people who made such horrible decisions during and
following the incident. Let taxpayer contributions go into the classrooms, not
the pockets of lawyers.
