It's been porous enough without having personnel of questionable values deciding who stop.. or not,, when  people try crossing the border illegally.

We went online to buy advanced tickets at a local theater to watch one of our children in a play for  Sunday. Made our selection, and then "the extras" popped up.. not just one, but TWO "processing fees" were added on. $3.00 per ticket PLUS another $5.50 for "nothing". We'll take our chances and pick up tickets at the door.
