From the " it's for the kids.... NOT!" department - Online headline/story: "West Virginia educators go on strike, closing all public schools in the state * Teachers in West Virginia are striking for the third consecutive day, closing public schools in all of the state’s 55 counties over low pay and benefits. * West Virginia teachers rank 48th in teacher pay, with an average annual salary of $45,622 in 2016, according to a report by the National Education Association. That average salary fell 0.4% from 2015" -- It's nice... NOT!... "they" use the 2015/2016 figures.. when the Obama administration had all but completely shut down coal production in WV, but choose to flex the union/DIMocratic Party partnership "muscle" (the one between their ears) going into 2018's midterm elections, and before new figures come in showing the WV economic rebirth following Trump's override of Obama's policies.

Online headline: "Florida deputy defends not running in to Parkland during shooting" -- Good grief..it was a travesty when the (_*@_) got into the school and started shooting; it worsened when the deputy responded in the manner he did, but it becomes an ABSOLUTE injustice now that a lawyer has spoken up in DEFENSE of that deputy!

Online headline/story: "Georgia lawmaker threatens to kill Delta state tax breaks over NRA stance * The Georgia legislature is considering a proposed jet fuel tax exemption designed to benefit Delta, but as of Monday, several state Republicans have threatened to withdraw their support for the provision" -- Wait a minute... why is the GA Legislator even considering a sales tax exemption for Delta at all since the new corporate TAX CUTS have gone into effect? I've heard the figure of $40,000,000.00 tossed about as what Delta's sales tax exemption on fuel would be... and that would be on top of the already-in-place 40% tax cut on fed income taxes this year. The question of "How did you vote on this issue?" should be the number one question asked of every incumbent running for re-election to the GA Legislature this year!

Just realized it..the Olympics are over. Musta slept through most if it.
---
Online headline: "Kasich suggests two-party system could be coming to an end" -- Good grief.. guess Kasich now understands Republicans consider him, at best, a RINO, and DIMocrats, whom he emulates, won't recognize his presence, either. so Kasich "finks" ( a new word for the lala-land between "feeling and thinking") he's a political revolution ... what he is ... is "finished" politically.

From the "has taken one-too-many beanballs" department - Online headline: "Gun-owner Chipper Jones against civilians having assault weapons" -- Hey, Chipper, unless you have a special federal permit, IT IS against the law for civilians to own assault weapons! From another perspective, our forefathers knew protecting the rights of citizens to bear arms was necessary to keep the freedoms they fought so hard to establish. Our forefathers did not include the right to bear arms for hunting or recreational use.. they included this warning:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State", and every American citizen has a right.. a charge... to protect his family and his country from all enemies, domestic or foreign.

From the "What difference does it make" department - Online headline/story: "'Botched' execution was 'torture' that may have punctured Alabama inmate's bladder, lawyer says * Prison officials announced about 11:30 p.m. Thursday they had to halt the execution because medical staff did not think they could obtain "the appropriate venous access" before a midnight deadline. The announcement came about 2 and a half hours after the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the execution to proceed." -- Good grief.. the taxpayers of Alabama have paid to keep this murderer alive.. through appeals and even lymphoma.. for a crime he committed 30 years ago.. certainly, the victim's family and the citizens of Alabama have suffered a lot more torture than the felon.. just bring back the firing squad!
---
Online headline/story: "Ivanka Trump scolds NBC News for ‘inappropriate’ question about her father’s sex misconduct accusers * The first daughter sat down with Alexander who, after a voice-over explaining that President Trump has denied accusations of sexual misconduct, asked, “Do you believe your father’s accusers?” * “I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated that there’s no truth to it. I don’t think that’s a question you would ask many other daughters,” Ivanka fired back. “I believe my father, I know my father.” -- Hmmm..wonder if he's lined up Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky to answer the same question?
---
Online headline/story: "Several Broward deputies waited outside during Florida school shooting, report says * Coral Springs cops who responded to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School say several Broward sheriff’s deputies waited outside rather than rush in as the killer was gunning down students, the Sun-Sentinel reports." --- Hmmm...I guess that once the backup officers arrived, they waited for their backups before not proceeding...

Was watching parts of the Trump/Governors meeting yesterday.. Is Florida's Rick Scott pulling a Charlie Crist party/gender revision? I watched him stammer yesterday and wondered where the real governor of Florida was.

Trump loves to use the fact that Apple is bringing back billions in overseas money, and has initiated a$350 BILLION dollar improvement and expansion program in AMERICA over the next few years. And you know what... Apple is not grumbling about Trump's accolades... because Apple KNOWS this opportunity is a Trump contribution to Make America Great Again. On the other hand, I remember when Brucie Springsteen pitched a hissy-fit at a song of his being used by a Republican.

The mayor of Oakland says her city doesn't have to cooperate with the federal government. ... Hmmmm...yet she'll squeal like a stuck pig if the federal government doesn't send more money.
---
From the "just wrong.. and I'll tell you why" department - Online story: "The Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal from the Trump administration to decide the legality of the president’s plans to end the Obama-era DACA program affecting young illegal immigrants next month." -- Just wrong... The US Supreme Court shares the triangle of power with the Legislative and Executive Branches, and when a lower court rules against either, especially against the President, then the US Supreme Court should immediately address such issues...

I'm actually for denying mentally ill people from buying/owning guns. Where to start isn't so hard, either...just turn over all the voter registration lists to the FBI, and mark all the voters registered as DIMocrats " mentally ill".
---
From the " incredulous" department... I heard a DIMocrat spinmeister on Fox state that he feels all our ills would be better if we "just got money out of politics". Good grief...this is the same party that brought in over $30,000,000.00 of out of District/state money to influence the voters in GA District 6 last year.
---
You know.. if all the money WAS taken out of politics, mainscream media would be shedding it's liberal bias.. without the political cash flow, media would have to ATTRACT viewers and advertisers based on the public's perception of how popular they are reaching working America's attention... and wallets.

Online headline/story: "‘National disgrace’: Community fights back as California overrun by homelessness, human waste, needles * The specter of homeless encampments steadily expanding across the downtown streets of San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco – bringing with them a public health crisis – has one southern California community taking tough action to dismantle a two-mile-long camp just a short drive from Disneyland. * “It’s becoming part of the permanent landscape in those communities and there is no way we are going to allow Orange County land that is supposed to be used by residents to be occupied by the homeless,” said Todd Spitzer, who sits on the Orange County Board of Supervisors." -- Hmmm... Orange County.. subject of a uber-liberal television series of societal destruction, and home of Rush Limbaugh's favorite liberal commune, Yorba Linda among other liberal confines, and San Francisco.. home of the conjoined twins, Pelosi-Feinstein, are overwhelmed with the plight of the homeless who have flocked to those areas based on the programs liberal advertise as better alternatives than working to provide for their families.. This is what the Republicans should show in their anti-DIMocrat ads..
---
You know...it's amazing that the liberal plea about gun control is focused on "not letting the mentally ill to buy guns". DOH! Good grief...it's the liberal concern about being politically correct that blocks reporting mentally troubled students actions from being reported do background searches! (_@_) is not the first such example.. nor the last if liberals don't stop drinking Kool-Aid.

Have you seen the Green Mountain Coffee ad for its "Sumatran" coffee? The grower and his goats are highlighted. .. how about that... actual truth in advertising... other than not also mentioning the Civet, Google Sumatran coffee, and you'll see why Sumatran coffee is described as having such an "earthy" flavor.

Online story: "Democrat Jon Ossoff said Friday he won’t make another bid for Georgia’s 6th District this year, leaving it up to lesser-known contenders to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Karen Handel in the north Atlanta district." -- I guess not... who, even among DIMocrats will forget they ponied up over $30,000,000.00 for him in a Special election, and he got beat by a larger margin than anyone anticipated..

---
In a nutshell.. as Robert Frost so poignantly.. and succinctly.. wrote.. "good fences make good neighbors".. BUILD the WALL!
---
You know, when states declare they are not going to enforce... nor help the federal government to enforce federal laws.. such as national immigration and drug laws, those states should have the voting power of their Congressional representatives revoked until such time as their sanity returns.

L-E headline/story: "Hagan, former Miss America, seeks to shake up Congress * Mallory Hagan knows what it’s like to be a long-shot winner. * In January, she resigned her job as a news anchor at WLTZ, the Columbus NBC affiliate, and announced she would run for Congress in a right-leaning 13-county east Alabama district * After graduating from Opelika High School in 2007 and enrolling in Auburn University, she moved to New York City, where she became Miss Brooklyn and then Miss New York. Then on a magical January 2013 night in Las Vegas, the Alabama woman wearing the sash of Miss New York became Miss America." -- Since I have not even known she was an anchor on a low rated local TV news program.. she obviously has not attracted much of a following.. wonder how fast Mike Rogers' campaign staff will have pictures up of of her wearing Miss Brooklyn or Miss New York sashes?
---
L-E headline: "MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD REVITALIZATION * $3.1 million makeover could help boost neighborhood’s reputation" -- "could help"? For $3.1 Million, there should be a GUARANTEE! To point out how shortsighted our Council/Mayor is. ll polishing up of MLK Blvd will initially do is highlight the blight EVEN MORE.. Then, if the embarrassment is addressed, housing costs and property taxes will rise running off the neighbors who have long populated the area..Columbus would be a lot better off using tax dollars to improve all the streets throughout the City.

In the meantime, streets that are dragging down existing property values will continue to do so at the expense of property revenues.
---
L-E headline: "Man faces new charges in shooting that left 1 dead" -- Good grief.. following the jury acquitting a masked and armed man of hijacking and kidnapping based on his plea that he got behind the wheel and drove only because she jumped out of her car, this murderer has just a valid chance of acquittal if he just says that "if the man hadn't been standing where he was, he wouldn't have been in the way of the bullet".
