It's almost funny to hear the senior DIMocrat on various Congressional Committees to be addressed as "ranking"... "rank" would be a lot more accurate. And just think about how much more accurate it would be...plus the amount of ink saved printing their names in the Congressional Record.

President Trump says we need more Republicans in Congress to rein in pork barrel spending....no, what we need is more visionary and patriotic elected representatives who put America's needs ahead of their personal/party's agenda.

From the "and who's gonna watch out for the children while tickets are being written" department - Online headline/story: "‘Edna’s Law’: House bill looks to give school police speed detection powers * Months after a school crossing guard was struck and killed by a speeding motorist while directing traffic in front of Lindley Middle School, a Cobb representative is carrying a bill that would allow school police to run speed detection in school zones. * As it stands, Cobb School District police officers are not allowed to use radar on motorists to capture their speed while other law enforcement agencies can. The issue with that, district officials say, is they only patrol school zones as time permits." -- God grief.. and while the crossing guards are chasing down speeders and writing tickets, who's gonna be directing cars and watching out for students. Solution, give the monitors neon yellow .44 Magnum handguns to use as their "signs", and if a vehicle approaches too fast, they can pump a couple of rounds into the radiator/engine block.

Online headline/story: "Casino companies show some Georgia candidates the money * Casino giants hoping to bring a Las Vegas-style resort to Atlanta are chipping in to Georgia political campaigns. * MGM Resorts International, which envisions a $1 billion-plus complex in Atlanta, was among the major donors to elected officials and candidates in campaign disclosures filed this week. * The casino firm and its executives contributed at least $22,000 to former state Rep. Stacey Evans and another $14,000 to ex-House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams. * All five of the leading GOP contenders oppose casino gambling, as does Gov. Nathan Deal." -- You know.. the fact that the casino elements are funding both DIMocrats just shows that they are not concerned over either candidate being best for GA, but that either DIMocrat will support vice industries.

January 4, 2007 - January 3, 2011... has to be the scariest 4 year period in American history... Nancy Pelosi was the Speaker of the House and 3rd in line to the Presidency. Of that period, January 6, 2009 - January 3, 2011 was the scariest..if something had happened to Obama, and if Biden took over, we'd probably have been wishing for Pelosi.

From the "everybody wants to jump on the #metoo bandwagon" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Connie Chung says she was sexually harassed 'every day' as she reacts to Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose scandals" -- Good grief.. you know.. even I can say I was groped back in my younger single days.. Did I feel cheap and dirty... no.. I felt "desired". A simple "no" would end such pursuits... or a "smile" might extend the pursuit. Good grief.. it was interaction between adults.. and it's always gone on.

L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS TRIPLE MURDER * Attorneys mull choice of graphic autopsy photos * The autopsy images are exceedingly graphic, even for an exceedingly brutal triple-murder, say those who’ve seen them. * “It’s a little more than what we usually see in terms of autopsy photographs,” Judge Gil McBride said of pictures from the autopsies of Gloria Short, 54; son Caleb Short, 17; and granddaughter Gianna Lindsey,
* Each was found bludgeoned over the head Jan. 4, 2016, in the Shorts’ 3057 Bentley Drive home in Columbus’ Upatoi neighborhood. Three youths were charged in the homicides, and one, Rufus Leonard Burks IV, is on trial in Muscogee Superior Court. * His attorney, Jennifer Curry, has sought to limit the photos to be shown Monday during a medical examiner’s testimony regarding the autopsy results. Curry argues some are so shocking and unnecessary they only would prejudice jurors against her client." -- "some are so shocking and unnecessary they only would prejudice jurors against her client"? Well, I hope so! Can you imagine how Robert Short felt when he walked into his home and saw the REAL thing! Every juror should see what Robert Short HAD to endure...and will see over and over until he dies.
