Fulton County "leaders" want to ask the GA State Legislature for a half-cent additional sales tax to fund buses.. not rails but buses.. for 40 years. This is not to be confused with the 4/10ths-cent sales tax approved in 2016 in Atlanta which is also in Fulton County (and some in Dekalb) which funds buses and MARTA. This would raise the total sales tax rate to 9.4%.. You know, when you go out to eat. you will be paying in taxes what use to be a normal "tip".. and that's BEFORE you figure your "tip". I believe I may stop "tipping" altogether in Atlanta.. the way I figure it, Atlanta feels all Atlantans are riding the bus, so I guess I'm already paying for my waitpersons transportation.

Another 33% said they were independents." -- 25% disapproved.. and 25% were DIMocrats... makes sense. Now why=at doesn't make sense is that CBS ran a poll that only had only 25% DIMocrats.. My guess is that half of those now listed as "Independents" were claiming to be DIMocrats in previous CBS polls, but now support Trump.

BCer's note: We have a similar situation right here in Columbus.. 2 young men brutally bludgeon a grandmother, her son, and her 10 year old granddaughter to death.. two years ago, and this week two of the three have already taken a "deal" in exchange for a guilty plea.. All this means to me is that our DIMocrat DA took "death" off the table, and now we are going to have top live with them eventually being released back into society by a technical issue or a bleeding heart judge. ,, and if that doesn't happen, we have to feed them FOREVER!

You know.. I think I have it figured out why our public education system is so lacking... equal tuition. Every public school in Columbus gets basically the same tuition per student regardless of the results of that school. This does not happen in private schools... but, sadly, there's only 1 local private school that has a higher "tuition" than our local public schools, and across the river in Phenix City, that system spends about $3,000.00 LESS per student in the public system, yet has better test results. Vouchers.. the answer is vouchers.. let the parents of students get to "vote" with their wallets where they want their children to go to school, and let schools maintain standards that the students must maintain to stay in there.
