From the "but it won't happen" department - Online story: "The release of a controversial House Intelligence Committee memo has prompted one GOP official to claim “treason.” * Republican Representative Paul Gosar of Arizona released a statement on Twitter that alleged the FBI activity detailed in the document is, “not just evidence of incompetence but clear and convincing evidence of treason.” -- Sad, but "it ain't gonna happen".. Not sure it "fortunately or unfortunately", bu it will not happen because it's more than our nation can handle.. there has to be a connection to Obama, but there will not be a paper trail that even liberals of the future can digest and accept. We'll just have to be content that "we know" and are "forever forewarned". Thank God it is limited to the political and appointed echelon of executives.

From the "there's but one conclusion anyone can make" department - Online headline/story: "Here's the key sentence that Republicans will point to as the bombshell of the Nunes memo * Found at the end of the third page of the four-page document, it reads: "Furthermore, [FBI] Deputy Director [Andrew] McCabe testified before the committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information." -- You know.. nothing would be happening without this falsified document, and the document trail is from Hellary and the DNC and the Obama administration appointees.
---
Online headline/story: "The DNC is 'dead broke' while the RNC has nearly $40 million * As Democrats prepare to go to war over retaking Congress, it may be rather difficult, because the Democratic National Committee is nearly broke. * In FEC filings closing out 2017, the party appears to be starting the new year $6.1 million dollars in debt, with just $6.5 million in the bank. That leaves the DNC with just $400,000. * Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee has amassed quite a fortune. Their filings show zero debt with nearly $40 million in the bank." -- Politics IS a BUSINESS... just like retail stores.. and Americans are sharp buyers.. they know a bargain and they know a scam.. The DIMocrats are a scam, and smart Americans aren't buying their product.

Anybody heard any details about the refunds the PSC ordered GA POWER CO to give back for making too much profit?

Follow up questions following yesterday's mention of the Hospital Authority owning the "River Mill Center": 1 - Why... why did the Hospital Authority BUY the River Mill Event Center? 2 - Who's money was used to BUY the River Mill Event Center?
One more question that needs to be discussed is why Columbus has a "Hospital Authority
" AND a "Medical Center Hospital Authority"? I would think having two different "Authorities" would keep anything from being accomplished that the community would benefit from versus if there was only one such "Authority"..

From the "it matters" department - Online headline/story: "Black Lives Matter flag flies over Vermont school despite backlash * A high school in Vermont's capital raised a Black Lives Matter flag Thursday morning in honor of Black History Month. * Students at Montpelier High School, where 18 of 350 students are black, took turns raising the flag in a ceremony attended by hundreds of students, staff and community members. * The decision to fly the flag had drawn criticism from Republican state legislator Thomas Terenzini, who told WPTZ this week that the school was setting "a bad example." -- This has nothing to do with anything but politics and treason! The school is a government building and raising anything but the US, and the State flags is no different than flying the flag of our enemies.. even allies over one. Protocol says the US Flag will always be raised first and highest .. at all times.

Another from the "where is good ol' western justice when we needed it" department - Online headline/story: "Texas dad who killed daughters while on phone with estranged wife taunts her at execution * A former Dallas accountant condemned for fatally shooting his two young daughters while their mother listened helplessly on the phone was put to death Thursday night in Texas but not before taunting her one last time. * John David Battaglia was executed for the May 2001 killings of his 9-year-old daughter, Faith, and her 6-year-old sister, Liberty. * Battaglia and his wife had separated, and he shot the girls at his Dallas apartment during a scheduled visit." Good grief.. for 17 years, this animal has paced the earth too long.. it doesn't matter that he was incarcerated, it matters that he continued to breathe the moment after he pulled the trigger that shot his first daughter. His daughters would now be 26 and 23, and could be mothers themselves. There are laws on the books and pending that say to "put down" bad dogs and other animals that have attacked/killed humans, and humans that act in an animal way deserve the same.

This story is especially poignant for Columbusites.. one such "animal" has finally been cleared for execution after dastardly crimes committed 40 years ago, and 3 "animals" are currently in the trial cycle now for brutal killings of a grandmother/ her son, and her granddaughter two years ago..Justice must be dealt with swiftly.. and certainly..

L-E headline/story: "Here’s how 58 city facilities landed on the ‘F List’ for poor conditions * You may have noticed that some facilities owned and managed by the Columbus Consolidated Government aren’t quite up to snuff these days. * If so, you’re not alone.
* At a recent Columbus Council meeting, Deputy City Manager Lisa Goodwin unveiled an “F List” with 58 dilapidated facilities. She said some need to be renovated, and others totally replaced, at the tune of millions of dollars. * “It’s easy to build; the hard part is maintaining,” she added.

Some facilities on the “F” list are:
All park restrooms
Outdoor swimming pools
RiverWalk Signage
Promenade gazebos
Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex
Carver Park
Britt David Park
South Commons (A.J. McClung Stadium, ball parks, etc.)
Flat Rock Park
Cooper Creek Tennis Center
Park field scoreboards
Concession stands at various parks
Various park lighting, walking trails and athletic fields"

-- Hmmm.. you know what's missing from this story.. it should have been dispensed at the Government Center downtown so the media could (not to infer that they "WOULD") ask why the Government Center itself was not Number 1 on the list.. Ms Goodwin's comment, "“It’s easy to build; the hard part is maintaining,”, brings up a point I have made several times without response from any existing City Councilor, the Mayor, or the spokesperson of Together-2017 organization.. My question was: "Who is going to pay for routine maintenance and replacement of equipment at the donated Exercise Park to be built at Rotary Park?

From the "about face" department - Online headline/story: "Alan Dershowitz: The Nunes FISA memo deserves more investigation. Time for a nonpartisan commission" -- Alan Dershowitz.. Dershowitz was the "darling" of the Clintons and mainscream media and other liberals... Recently, Dershowitz announced that if he had seen the pictures of Obama hugging Farrankhan, avowed bigot and anti-Semite, he would not have supported Obama, and now feels that the whole DIMocratic Party has committed treason. Guess Dershowitz now has a better health diet than excludes Kool-Aid..

Sadly.. there can be no non-partisan if Republican and DIMocrats could serve on such a commission.

Online story: "Remaining commercial spots for Super Bowl LII sold out on Friday, less than 48 hours before kickoff, according to a report. * “Super Bowl LII is sold out,” Dan Lovinger, executive vice president of advertising sales for NBC Sports Group, said in a statement to Variety Opens a New Window. . “We booked record revenue, and advertiser enthusiasm for the game is at an all-time high." -- Good grief.. and not one "Thank you, President Trump!" from NBC.. we all know that advertisers should have bought up available space weeks/months ago.. but have only become confident following Trump's Tax Cuts!

Of course. once the record low viewer ratings are announced, NBC is going to have to refund ad revenues for lack of performance.

From the "Herschel Walker for replacing Roger Goodell" department - Online headline/story: "Herschel Walker: Players Received 'Hush Money' From NFL to Stand for Anthem * Former NFL running back Herschel Walker accused the NFL of essentially giving out "hush money" to stop players from kneeling for the national anthem. * The 1982 Heisman Trophy winner highlighted the fact that the NFL in late November offered $100 million to social justice organizations favored by players. * The move was widely viewed as an attempt by the league to end the controversy surrounding the anthem protests.
* "The league gave the players a large sum of money toward their cause. That's hush money," he said, adding that players never should have been kneeling in the first place." -- In other words, while the players "took a knee, Roger Goodell bent over and TOOK IT..
