I guess "on call" substitute teachers in the MCSD, and "salaries" range from $65.00, $75.00, $80.00, and $100.00 a day.. I presume based on education levels achieved/experience... Not exactly "I'll retire rich one day careers", but flags are raised.. Like where are $65.00 a day and the $100.00 a day teachers placed.. I do know, Dr. Lewis' wife, Karen, is currently assigned to Britt David Elementary, which is the "plum" of the elementary schools in Muscogee County, and makes the "top daily rate"... you would think substitutes making the "top' daily rate" would be assigned to schools with lower ratings where they would be of better use to struggling students. What is Spectrum trying to do by belittling AT&T cable for not including ESPN? When I started with Spectrum, I had Golf Channel but after a few months, Spectrum removed it from the package I signed up for a 3 year guaranteed rate and said I'd have to add a Sports Package to get GOLF CHANNEL at an additional $12.00 a month. Over 3 years, that's an extra charge of $432.00 more than Spectrum promised me.

Friday night, we... my family.. celebrated my 13th year being "cancer free", and we celebrated at our 13th "Relay for Life".. every one in the past has been wonderful, but this year, it returned to Kinnett Stadium.. now resplendent with its artificial grass field.. what was great was there wasn't the problem with "bugs" we experienced in past uses of this venue. Went to a gas station I frequent at 2nd Ave and Manchester EXP, put in my Synovus debit card, and was met with two messages..."see cashier"..and " unknown card".. I use pay-at-the-pump just so I don't have to go in and see a lot cashier. Of course, it may not be all the gas station's fault for saying my card was "unknown".... it use to say, "Columbus Bank & Trust" on it, and isn't use to the Synovus name. Oh.. all worked out well, went to another station and gas was 3-cents cheaper per gallon..

Add the fact that the T-SPLOST tax we pay returns only 85-cents of every dollar collected to Columbus. The other financial mystery is those metal-on-slab wrestling buildings..the SPLOST is collecting $750,000.00 each for 2,400 sq ft, but I cannot get Mark Cantrell to share his expert opinion on the cost of a metal buildings...C'mon, Mark, why are you stalling?
