Today is the National Day of Prayer... prayer works... Hellary didn't win, and it's OK to pray in America... well except for some school systems... but Trump's working on that, too.

Online story: "Rudy Giuliani, the newest addition to President Donald Trump's legal team, said on Wednesday night that Trump fired FBI Director James Comey last May because Comey "would not, among other things, say that he wasn't a target in the [Russia] investigation." -- Good grief.. Trump fired Comey because Obama didn't!

---
Yesterday, I mentioned that 17 States plus the District of Columbia filed a suit against Trump for over-riding an Obama policy order concerning MPG requirements for autos by 2025, and that only two of those states, Pennsylvania and Iowa, hadn't voted for Hellary in 2016. Interestingly, the other 5 states Hellary won, Nevada, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Colorado and Hawaii, didn't join suit... with 14 of the "Hellary states" in the suit, and 2 of the other "Hellary states" having their DIMocrat Senators on the chopping block this November, something tells me that it's not going to be a very good November for DIMocrats.

Trump... and very rightfully so, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in curtailing North Korea's nuclear posturing..

---
Shocker.. a bunch of A-Lister celebrity socialists have "unfollowed" Kanye West.. Personally, I do not have a "twitter account".. never have and do not plan so in the future... but, if you do have one, how about adding Kanye West to your list as a show of support for independent thinking.. even if just for a day or week..

Online headline/story: "Students walk out of classrooms to show support for Second Amendment * Students at schools across the country planned to walk out of their classrooms Wednesday morning and remain outside for 16 minutes to show their support for the Second Amendment. * More than 300 schools in 40 different states registered for “Stand for the Second” — a nationwide walkout organized by New Mexico 18-year-old Will Riley." -- Hmmm... wish the story listed the 40 states .. and the 300 schools... so we would know where the US Constitution and its history are being taught properly...

---
Why is Rosenstein still in the DOJ? After his claim that a Congressional committee was trying to "extort" the DOJ, he should be immediately removed for not knowing the US Constitution he is sworn to uphold.. The Constitution empowers the Congress to have "Oversight Protection... no, "Oversight Responsibility" over the DOJ..

Online headline: "'Sex and the City' star Cynthia Nixon could be New York's next governor: A look at her political activism" -- Laughingly... unfortunately... New Yorkers might be better off...

---
Online headline/story: "'I can't afford an apartment': Congressmen sleeping in offices cry poverty * Crying poverty amid decade-long stagnant salaries and Washington’s steep cost of living, an increasing number of House lawmakers have turned into professional squatters at night, hitting the sack in their Capitol Hill offices — on everything from cots in closets to futons stashed behind constituent couches — to save a few bucks during the work week. * “Washington is too expensive,” said Rep. Dan Donovan (R-SI), who credits the cot that he sleeps on in a tiny alcove in his office as the reason he is able to serve in Congress while still paying his New York City housing costs." -- "Washington is too expensive"? Yes... it is... for American taxpayers.. how about some modernization.. with video conferencing.. even by smartphones, why not make the Capitol Building into a once-a-month conference facility for Congresspersons to hear the President speak/communicate, and they spend their other time in their home District office? It would save the taxpayers tons of money just by how expensive it would become for lobbying agents/companies to try to influence our Congresspersons.

From the "delusional.. as defined by Webster" department - Online headline: "Nancy Pelosi bucks Dems' calls to step aside, says party will retake control and 'I will run for speaker'" -- Pelosi is so delusional, that she'll probably hire Hellary as her campaign manager..

---
From the "as usual, government has missed the big picture" department - Online headline/story: "US to return thousands of artifacts seized from Hobby Lobby to Iraq * The U.S. will return 3,800 ancient artifacts to Iraq on Wednesday after it was discovered that they were smuggled into the U.S. under false identification and shipped to Hobby Lobby stores, federal officials said. * The Justice Department in the Eastern District of New York filed a civil complaint in 2017 accusing Hobby Lobby of purchasing 5,500 artifacts for a total of $1.6 million in December 2010 from the United Arab Emirates despite multiple warnings from an expert on cultural property law that “could lead to seizure and forfeiture of the artifacts.” -- You know, America .. and the world... should give Hobby Lobby a "standing ovation" for assuring that Christian artifacts would be saved from ISIS/Islamist destruction. Hobby Lobby's founder should get a Congressional Gold Medal, and reimbursement for all costs incurred for saving history.

L-E headline/story: "Backlash after candidate for Georgia governor points shotgun at teen in campaign ad * A campaign advertisement showing Georgia gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp pointing a shotgun toward a teen has sparked backlash online — and even some calls to a local TV station demanding it stop running the ad. * The ad begins with Kemp slouching down in a chair and wiping down a shotgun. To his right is a stand holding several more guns. To his left, a nervous-looking teen sits with his hands folded. * Kemp introduces himself, then gestures at "Jake," a young man he says is "interested in one of my daughters." * Then Kemp says there are two things the boy needed to have if he wanted to date one of his daughters. * "Respect ... " the teen says. * "And?" * "A healthy respect for the 2nd Amendment ... sir" Jake finishes, before Kemp suddenly lifts the shotgun and appears to point it toward the teen's chest. * "We're gon' get along just fine," Kemp says as they both smile at the camera." -- Heh, heh, heh... the L-E ... and definitely unknowingly... blindly.. endorsed Brian Kemp for the majority of dads of teenaged daughters!

From the "total disregard for honoring taxpayer sacrifices" department - Online story: "In the name of morale boosting, the Georgia Tech Research Institute spent nearly $1.1 million in tax dollars over the past two years on entertainment and meals for employees and their families, a Channel 2 Action News investigation found. * The spending included $73,000 for employees and their families to go to the Georgia Aquarium, $109,000 for a staff picnic at Six Flags over Georgia, $26,000 at a Braves game, nearly $12,000 racing go-karts and playing laser tag at Andretti’s in Roswell and $7,300 at Topgolf, including more than $1,000 in cocktails, beer and wine" -- You know.. I am for morale boosting events in a business... but not when it comes at the expenses of tax dollars..I want to see copies of 1099 forms for every penny of tax dollars spent on personal entertainment by GA Tech.

From the "the proof WAS in the pudding" department - Online headline: "Three more Atlanta department heads return controversial bonus checks" -- Hmmm... I guess this falls into the category o "guilty knowledge"...theses department heads KNEW this was not above board and have made sure they didn't spend it before interest had waned... When does the Kasim Reed investigation begin?

---
Online headline: "Stacey Abrams said GOP lawmakers misled her over 2015 redistricting bill" -- Hmmm.. you know, if GOP lawmakers COULD mislead her, why does Stacey Abrams "feel" that DIMocrats would want her in office?

---
WRBL 3 headline: "Community Watch * Columbus 2038, Our Future Matters" -- Hmmm... Together 2017 has evaporated.. Columbus 2025 has dropped off the map, and now Columbus 2038 has erupted.. You know, I'm a forward thinking person, but.. what does Columbus 2038 expect to do if it's not concentrating on what Columbus needs now.. here in 2018?

---
They are back...those ads for Prevagen.. you know that brain/memory booster made from some part of a jellyfish..I ain't buying it...at least not as long as I can remember what I felt the first...and last time . .. my body came in contact with a part from a jellyfish.

---
Online headline: "Boy Scouts are dropping the word 'Boy' from flagship program; Girl Scouts shrug" -- I'm just dropping BOY Scouts from my support list.. until sanity is restored.

---
You know...with Trump as President, and Pompeo as Secretary of State, Benghazi probably would not have happened.

---
From the "bias... what bias?" department - Online headline: "Survey: US businesses added 204,000 jobs in April" -- Good grief.. there's not one mention.. not one insertion of President Trump's name in this complete story...shame on mainscream media!!!

---
L-E headline: "One of the world's top beaches is a 'blue carpet of slime' after creatures wash ashore" -- Oooops.. I thought this was a dire prediction of "the Blue Wave" the DIMocrats are hoping for in November.

---
I heard a DIMocrat spinmeister try to equate John Kerry as good as Condolezza Rice as a Secretary of State.... .my goodness, at least she didn't include Hellary in the same erroneous sentence.

---
L-E headline: "Police shoot, kill suspect in two deadly shootings" -- 15...you know, this was an unnecessary death... the dead man could have obeyed the police orders and go to the court system, but chose unwisely..

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Board candidates grade superintendent’s job performance" -- Good grief... even in this world where good performance has been diluted by scaling down the grading system, we should consider any School board candidate who gives the existing Superintendent an "A" as part of the problem.. it was of special note that the two District 2 candidates that worked for or are involved with and active contract with the MCSD that rated the Superintendent an "A" performance are not qualified to be objective and make decisions that are needed for improvements.. especially disappointed in the Chair of the MCSB not being straight forward with us.. It should be a BIG RED FLAG for any incumbent or newcomer to feel that there cannot be improvements over what currently exists.

In fact, any candidate, incumbent or not, who doesn't feel there is room for (and be willing to stand up and say so) the Superintendent to improve does not deserve to work for the taxpayers and students.

That said, I restate my previously published endorsements for this year's MCSB races:
MCSB Post 9... Tough call.. am concerned about Kia Chambers giving up on the MCSD and sending her child to a private school.. I can't blame her for that, but... But I want our MCSB to be concerned about fixing things in our public school system rather than participating in private school issues.. Tony McCool gets my nod.

MCSB Post 8... return Frank Myers... like him or not, Frank Myers has stepped up the concerns of the School Board to protect taxpayers, and make students' needs the focus versus rubber-stamping school administration's "wants".

MCSB Post 6 - Leaning to Mark Cantrell for another term, but would like to get him to comment on the costs of building those 40'X60' metal buildings.. His business deals with such, and he could never sell one of those to a customer for $312.00 a square foot. His opponent works in another state's school system, and like Chambers in Post 9, I want a full time focus on OUR school system.

MCSB Post 4 - Without a doubt, Toyia Tucker! She's a dynamo! and the sitting incumbent is another who works in another county's school system, and like Chambers' situation, we need MCSB members who are focused on OUR school system.

MCSB 2 - Sheryl McCraine! Weighed her against Mike Edmondson and chose her.. the other candidate, Bart Steed shouldn't have been eligible to run.. he's involved in an open $165,000.00 repair contract with the School System, and his loyalty to the students and taxpayers has to be an issue.

L-E headline/story: "Jury gives verdict in drive-by shooting trial * They found him guilty of aggravated assault, but not guilty of malice or intentional murder, of felony murder for killing Bailey while committing the felony of aggravated assault, and of using a firearm to commit a felony." -- Another jury fail! An "unintended" victim is dead, but a jury feels that it's not murder because the killer wasn't trying to kill the dead person.. Please Columbus, stand up for your jury obligations.. it doesn't matter how many police officers we have on the streets if juries put killers back into the mix with the message to others that it's OK to kill bystanders ...
