D-Day... June 6th is D-Day.. now it appears June 7th is Donut-Day.. perhaps this is too ironic.. what's tomorrow.. National DD-Day for the woman's Foundation's industry,, what about Sunday.. maybe 3D-Day for the movie theater industry,, or maybe even 4D-Day on Tuesday for the Baby Sonogram Industry.

 

Reversing the process, Columbus Council has declared that June 4th be "Kadie the Cow" Day in Columbus.. seriously.. more appropriate would be "Kadie the Kow" to accent the "K" for its Kinnett's Dairy heritage.. but Kadie is already older than the Government Center so how long will Kadie "be alive" under City maintenance policy?

Saw Jehmu Greene on Fox this morning complaining that Trump shouldn't give a 4th of July speech from the Lincoln Memorial. It's just he current Democrat attack on the patriotism of President Trump.. his speech at the D-Day site yesterday blew Democrats away, and they do not want more Americans seeing him as he really is. Noe.. Jehmu Greene.. you either owe Columbus, GA State Legislator Calvin Smyre a BIG APOLOGY, or you need to make him own up to the #MeToo! charges you leveled against him before you say anything else.

Never has Mitch McConnell exposed himself as "bought" than he did when he opposed the tariffs Trump has proposed on goods coming in from Mexico. McConnell is not concerned about goods made by Mexican manufacturers...he's concerned about tariffs added to US car manufacturers who build plants in Mexico to.make bigger margins on car parts than they could get making those parts in the US. Let's face it, US car manufacturers did not move plants to Mexico so they could lower the cost of their cars, they moved so they could make more money per unit.

One of the biggest stories concerning the job situation in the US is that a million people have dropped out of searching for one.. primarily because they are under trained in the skills of the new jobs.. it's affecting not only older workers, but new high graduates who are not given the training that makes them attractive to the new industry needs. On the other hand, those who HAVE the skills... or undertake achieving them through training classes, are benefiting from higher wages.

Allen Parkway" -- long have I contended that each of the J R Allen ramp areas could be nominated for both the best and worst of the ramps.. It started last Century when Council at the time was not satisfied with the GA DOT plans, and the GA DOT took revenge by giving us what Council thought it wanted. Now we're seeing the results of this, and it won't make things better... what it does do is highlight the River Road Roundabout and it's future as another fiasco.
