Let's parse the women's story about being accosted by Trump in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman's in New York. Have you been to BG? It's a better women's store. Do you realize how personal the sales staff gets with its clients? No woman would be left to her on accord to even find a dressing room..she'd be escorted back..possibly plied with wine or a mimosa, and be tended to her every whim/need. In no case would a man....even Donald Trump, be allowed to wander into a women's dressing room at Bergdorf-Goodman's by himself. Now, let's look at the current ownership..Neiman Marcus ..well since 1987. This woman selected 1986 when Broadway-Hale owned it and has since gone bankrupt and bought out by Federated. This is particularly important as there aren't any Broadway-Hale executives you could question about the incident .. nor about policies that would have prevented such an incident happening.

How about student loans? How about some control guidelines.. Like maybe, making them only available to get for and from instate public colleges, or if you want an elite or out-of-state university, then loans can only be issued by the particular school. That way, the school would have the students interest in getting a degree that will allow you to pay back your loan. Another would be only give loans out for books and tuition.. Most colleges rake over students with out-of-control student fees, way over priced dorm and food facilities. Let colleges focus on the education aspects rather than as housing, entertainment, and food moguls.

Yesterday I brought up questions about the old Spencer High School site.. about it being a liability rather than an asset.. about it being an "attractive nuisance", a hazard for students and the taxpayers. One of my BCers brought up a great solution.. since the City budget has set aside $1,000,000.00 to assist the razing of uninhabitable buildings in Columbus, why not start with razing the old Spencer (the MCSD and MC School Bored have already condemned it) then billing the MCSD for repayment! Talk about a WIN_WIN for the taxpayers!

It's bad enough our newspaper is printed and controlled in Macon, but yesterday, I sent an e-mail about an issue To: customerservice@ledger-enquirer.com, and this morning I got a response starting out: "Thank you for contacting The Bradenton Herald. Please note our email box is not monitored real time and there may be a delay in our response." McClatchy really needs to work on it's perception as a community newspaper. (Update: A representative at  McClatchy disputes my facts that the Columbus L-E is printed in Macon, and controlled from Macon... but she did not mention where either issue IS located.. more info tomorrow, but am holding onto my statements now as this is the perception of Columbus citizens.)

From the "just proves 'some animals are more equal than others" concept - Online headline/story: "Joe Biden making millions, living in lavish homes since leaving office: report" * Middle Class Joe” now resides in a 12,000-square-foot home in McLean, Virginia, that comes complete with “five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, marble fireplaces, a gym and a sauna,” the report stated. The Bidens are renting the home, according to the Post, from multi-millionaire Mark Ein." -- What will be interesting is to see how much in rent the Bidens are actually paying ..Zillow says it should be about $20,000.00 A MONTH! I'd like to know why his old home...which has been secured by the Secret Service while in office, isn't being used, and..and how much in Secret Service costs have been put into this rental property at taxpayer expense?

Anyone want to bet about this being a walled-in facility?

You know, when George Orwell wrote "Animal Farm" in 1945.. he depicted the "more equal" animals as "pigs".. obviously Orwell was in tune with the environment of politics..

Online headline: "Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg says he's been target of 7 assassination attempts" -- Wonder when he'll claim Trump is the assassin?

---
Online headline: "ICE puts detainer request on Ukrainian charged in deadly NH biker crash" -- Just want to know when, how and why he had a driver's license...

---
From the "no wonder liberals don't sleep well at night.. it's their own fault!" department - Online headline/story: "ICE releases list of accused murderers, rapists protected under state's sanctuary law * Washington state just passed what some immigration advocates are calling the strongest sanctuary state law in the country. It forbids local jails and state prisons from honoring ICE immigration detainers and even prevents corrections officials from even letting ICE know about the pending release of a criminal illegal immigrant." -- Of course, these sleepless liberals will blame Trump for their ills...

Part of the Democratic Party strategy for 2020 to win back the White House is to win over "Never Trumpers".. Hmmm.. besides there not being enough of the "Never Trumpers" to sway a dog catcher race in any small town in America, the "Never Trumpers" are even more dedicated to "Democrats? NO WAY!"

---
So the Democrats are throwing Br'er Mueller into the brier patch.. Of course the Dems acquiesced to Mueller's desire for an "Open Session" (which means he can revert to policy about not discussing open/ongoing investigations). but the Dems are not going to like what happens when Republicans ask their questions..

I still haven't gotten an answer about those suspicious deaths in the Dominican Republic.. all we heard about are Americans... are there many... ANY... such deaths involving tourists from other countries?

---
From the "it's California... not from the real world" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Man shoots baby in head after child's mother rejected him at party, police say" -- While America needs a Southern border WALL to keep illegal aliens out, America also needs one around California (and Oregon and Washington are close to needing to be included) to keep legal Californians IN! and away from the rest of us.

You know... there's a real reason that Democrats do not keep the promises they make to get the Democratic Party "base" to maintain it's misplaced loyalty. Democrat promises to soak "the rich" are financed by donations FROM "the rich", and Democrat Politicians know they can't raise enough money to win if they estrange "the rich".

Online headline: "Megan Rapinoe on USWNT's possible White House visit: 'I'm not going to the f---ing White House'" -- Well... first, they'd have to win, but who cares whether she attends or not? What's ironic is that after all the turmoil about her kneeling in protest, now when she stands, arms down beside her, she is really following acceptable protocol for women during the raising/presentation of our flag. She's just stupider that we can even imagine..

You know.. it's more than prophetic that the first Democratic Debate is being held the first week of summer...it corresponds with the kick off of "re-runs", and that's what all the Dems on stage will be... Now I do have a semantics issue with the Democrats and MSM-13 calling this event a "Debate". I've been taught that a "debate" involves the presentation of opposite views on a common thought, and I don't think any of the Dems like Trump or America. Thank heavens for VUDU as an option for the Democrats' DODO.

Online story: "Last Saturday, this newspaper (the AJC) told you that U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Roswell, had recently amended estimates of her own financial net worth — which last year she had put down as no more than $350,000. * A spokesman for the congresswoman said McBath had neglected to include the assets of her husband, who lives in Tennessee, on the required federal disclosure forms. Combined, the McBath family assets are now estimated at somewhere between $964,000 and $2.35 million." -- Hmmm.. and there was good reason for McBath's deception... she may not be qualified as a full resident of GA as her "residence" of qualification is of questionable certainty..

M/C L-E headline: "$4.8M revives Columbus softball complex ahead of international tourney" -- Wait a minute.. there was a big fuss raised over spending about $5.6 Million on this site.. While "we" are glad it came in under projections, what's happening with the other $800,000.00 not used? I suggest it be reallocated to either fixin' our streets or razing the old condemned Spencer High School facility before it becomes even a further liability to Columbus taxpayers.

Oh, and the Sports Council needs to be held accountable to provide verification for the $147.75 MILLION dollars it claims has been the financial impact since 1995.. especially all the impact since 1997 AFTER the Olympic Event.. which I do not remember having any benefit to all the residents who offered up their homes as rentals to the Olympic attendees
