I tell you what, if any Senator who had Professor Alan Dershowitz at Harvard votes for President Trump to be convicted on PeLOUSY's presentation should have his/her degree to practice law by Harvard revoked for failing the course of Constitutional law Dershowitz gave last night.

What was Fox News "thinking" last night? Following the Senate's dinner break, 6:55 to 7:55, Fox anchors prattled about whatever they wanted as Robert Ray and Alan Dershowitz defended vigorously .... and passionately.. the Constitution's authors concept of the grave nature of "mob rule" impeachment.. Fortunately, I was able to get first hand knowledge on CNN. CNN actually showed (without verbal commentary and only a banner sign dig at Trump) Ray and Dershowitz's comments in their entirety. Who'da thunk that?

Looks like the Democrats aren't treading water very well in the early primary states..after 6 months of heavy campaigning in Iowa, none of the Democrats can attract more than 25-30% support. Guess most Dem Primary voters will be mumbling "eenie-meenie-minee-mo" or flipping a coin as they enter the polling booths.

---
Wow! How fickle can Creepy Joe Biden be? For 36 years, he was a Senator for the people of Delaware, yet now he's touting Pennsylvania is his real home state.

---
Sen UpChuck Schmoozer must have been..at best...a mediocre lawyer..He claims Bolton's "unseen but leaked" book ramblings are "evidence"..

From the "I see it a little differently" department - Online story: "Fox Business host Stuart Varney said the Democratic party is facing a "huge problem" with no clear winner predicted to emerge from next week's Iowa caucuses. * "This is my prediction. One week from today, the Iowa caucuses will show no clear winner," Varney said Monday on Fox Nation's "My Take." "And that will be a big problem for the Democrats." -- Stuart Varney sees "no CLEAR winner".... I see no WINNER at all! Of the entire list, they all have the same message.. "Hate Trump.. Hate America's Greatness".

What an education in law and our Constitution was presented by President Trump's Defense Team. ..and it wasn't just for President Trump...it was for all US citizens. I know one local ... and quite vocal... lawyer who should be embarrassed by his defense of the actions of the House, the House Speaker, and Schi** and Nadler in their roles as Chairpersons of the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees.

Online headline/story: "Supreme Court allows Trump administration to enforce ‘public charge’ immigration restriction * The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce, for now, its "public charge" immigration restriction, lifting a pair of preliminary injunctions issued by federal judges. * The Monday order followed a 5-4 split vote that divided the court’s conservatives and liberals. * At issue is the administration’s rule issued in August that would restrict immigrants entering the United States if the government believes they will rely on public assistance, such as housing or health care benefits. Lower federal courts had blocked the policy from being implemented while the issue is being litigated." -- Good grief! This should have been a 9-0 decision! Unfortunately, we have 4 members of the Supreme Court who feel that immigrants and illegal aliens should be allowed free access to the "American CREAM" instead of an opportunity to experience the "American DREAM".

Columbus Ledger-Enquirer headline/story: "This pilot program at Columbus college gives students another option besides GED * A new way to earn a high school equivalency credential will be offered at Columbus Technical College, one of five institutions in the state selected for this pilot program and part of a national trend providing more options for folks who haven’t earned a high school diploma and haven’t passed the GED exam. * It’s called the Career Plus HSE, and it allows students to combine academic credits from high school and technical college with completed portions of the GED exam to earn a high school equivalency credential." -- I applaud the state trying to give students an opportunity to correct what they suffered under the K-12 curriculum state-wide, but there's one issue that will continue to be a stumbling block.. inadequate reading skills students should have learned along the way..We see it state-wide and locally.. too many of our students are allowed to advance through school without achieving reading skill standards at each grade level.

Columbus L-E headline/story: "Uptown Columbus Inc. president and CEO resigns * Horner declined to comment on Monday." -- Hmmm.. who could not see this coming? Guess it'll probably get back to why the ex-executive of Uptown was given a "place-holder" title of Deputy Mayor...I could be wrong... but...

---
Online headline/story: "Clarkston’s ‘millennial mayor’ drops out of Georgia Senate race * Democrat Ted Terry dropped out of the crowded race against U.S. Sen. David Perdue on Sunday to run for an open DeKalb County commission seat, leaving three top rivals competing to challenge the Republican in the nationally-watched contest." -- Hmmmm...guess this means that now there'll only be one former Mayor TT in the Democratic Party primary.

---
Bernie Sanders says he believes in God and freedom of religion in contrast to President Trump, whom he says practices discrimination by restricting immigration from a number of Muslim-majority countries. -- Hmmm seems Bernie is not well informed... it wasn't until 600 plus years after Christ that Muhammad created his anti-Christ sect who worship Allah ... and obviously Allah is not the Father of Christ, our savior, nor a god of mercy and grace as our God.

---
From the "let's not rush in too emotionally" department - Online headline: "Kobe Bryant dead: NBA urged by fans to change logo, honoring late Lakers legend" -- The current "model" is Jerry West, also a career Laker player...You know, you don't really show someone respect by disrespecting another.

---
Online headline: "What are the Democratic presidential candidates' religions?" -- You know..there is no religion allowed in Socialism...so, like anything else they say/claim...claiming a religion by any of them is just another lie.

From the "Welcome to Mike Bloomberg's 'Let's emulate.. NOT.. California" department - Online headline/story: "Homeowners given $20G bill to clean up former California homeless camp * Homeowners in a California subdivision have been charged $20,000 to clean up a former homeless camp near their neighborhood" -- Wait a minute... did the homeowners solicit... even offer... their property for the homeless to camp on? Did the City respect the property and civil rights of the homeowners? I think NOT! Hey, ACLU.. here's where you OUGHT to be!

---
From the "Hey, Mike Bloomberg.. is this what we should emulate?department - Online story: " According to a new study by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), California faces a staggering $166.5 billion in unfunded liabilities for retirement benefits it has promised to government employees. So naturally, California being California, the Legislature and Gov. Gavin Newsom are moving ahead with plans to shower illegal aliens with still more expensive benefits. * The state has recently made illegal aliens under the age of 26 eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s version of Medicaid, and plans to expand coverage to illegal aliens over the age of 65 * Admittedly, the cost of covering illegal aliens under the Medi-Cal program pales in comparison to the $166.5 billion potentially owed to state retirees. But California doesn’t actually have the money to do either." -- Wow! The number of Californians already leaving California will pale when the retirees and soon-to-be retirees realize they are not going to receive their pension checks, and KNOW they cannot afford the California lifestyle without their pensions. Hey Supreme Court! Let's get that Citizenship Question on the Census NOW! California already has about 8.. maybe more.. House seats padded onto their allocation because of the illegal alien surge back in the late 80s.

---
Trump supporters started camping out Sunday to be able to get into the Trump rally arena in New Jersey scheduled for tonight. The arena seats ONLY 7,500 but over 100,000 tickets were applied for...

---
You know... I'm not sure why the Democrats are so worked up over "winning" in Iowa.. President Trump beat Hellary in Iowa in 2016.

---
Online headline: "Pete Buttigieg Claims Bible Says Babies Can be Aborted “Up to Their First Breath”" -- You know.. when you're "for" something you know is "wrong", you can seek and find excuses to justify your position pretty much anywhere...

---
From the "grandstand play" department - Online headline: "Schumer calls on feds to declare coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency" -- Hmmmm...and I think we should declare the Democrats a detriment to public health and wealth. Hey, UpChuck, it's not YOUR call.... President Trump will make the call on when the coronavirus IS an emergency...

---
From the "speaking of GRANDSTAND Plays!" department - Online headline/story: "Nike pulls Kobe Bryant gear from online store in wake of his death * The company confirmed the decision to pull the items with ESPN’s Nick DePaula as it reevaluates its strategy on how to handle the signature gear of the late basketball great. Part of that strategy is limiting resellers’ ability to stockpile Kobe gear for the secondary market, according to the report." -- Good grief.. Nike has pulled the Kobe gear for one reason only... to see how much it can get into the retailers before putting it back in play so it can capitalize on buyers' emotions...

---
Online story: "The campaign manager for former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg warned in a new interview that Democrats will be headed to an electoral disaster if they nominate Bernie Sanders to run against President Trump." -- Hmmm so says the campaign manager of the man who believes America should emulate California...give n]me Bernie any day as the Dem's candidate...Trump 2020!

Online Columbus Council headline/story: "It's only an additional $2 million... *
A $5 million price tag suddenly turned into $7 mil. * This strange discussion began with talk about an abandoned building on Veterans Parkway. The Columbus Consolidated Government bought the former Virginia College site in November with the announced intent of using it as an office building. * Key city leaders changed their mind. They began to push and prod Columbus Council to support a $5 million renovation project that would transform that building into a new home for state and local agencies that have cared for clients in the Health and Human Services Building on Comer Avenue for the past 23 years. Monday — on the eve of that important political decision — council members learned that last minute projections now indicate the cost of that $5 million scheme might be closer to $7 million. Officials on both sides of the issue now find themselves in a political quandary. " -- Hmmm..."Already over budget by $2.5 MILLION"?.. Folks.. we.. well... "THEY" are talking about spending $7 MILLION on a 45 year old metal building with a facade.. and that doesn't even include a "roundabout"! Putting this "plan" back on a "back burner" is not good enough.. maybe the building can be salvaged at our "over-capacitied " Recycling Center. Oh...and the ever-rising cost of "free transportation" from the split facilities will add a permanent budget breaking amount annually.

From the "unexpected consequences" department - Columbus L-E story: " General Motors is spending $2.2 billion to refurbish an underused Detroit factory so it can build a series of electric and self-driving vehicles, eventually employing 2,200 people." -- Hmmm.. little did Obama realize that Government Motors will cement Trump's 2020 victory in Michigan for a second time...

---
Columbus L-E story: "The Atlantic Coast Conference has fined Notre Dame $20,000 and publicly reprimanded Fighting Irish basketball coach Mike Brey for his comments about officiating after Saturday’s loss at Florida State. * The league announced the penalties Monday, saying Brey’s comments “were in direct violation” of the league’s sportsmanship policy that states that public criticism of officiating “is not in the best interest of intercollegiate athletics.” -- So,, criticizing .. constructive or otherwise.. referees is not good for college sports... hmmm.... well, bad or disinterested refereeing is b=not good fro sports at ANY level...
