Recently, Congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland died, and more recently Congressman John Lewis of Georgia announced he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Hmmm... why hasn't the Democratic Party demanded Creepy Joe Biden share his cure for cancer he told us he has?

Online story: "As of Oct. 1, travelers wanting to board an airplane by using a driver's license for identification must have one that complies with the Real ID Act, the law based on the commission's recommendation. States are required to check an applicant's records to verify identity before issuing the new licenses, which have a star on the upper right-hand corner and incorporate features making them harder to be forged." -- And you wondered why liberal states are now issuing new driving licenses to illegal aliens... now.. HOW can they be verified for federal standards?

Good grief.. POOP Francis chastised a woman who grabbed his hand, slapped her hand away... then apologized to women for the way they are mistreated.. Yep.. POOP Francis reconfirmed his name.

Looks like the fast food industry is moving along from 'you drive thru' to "drive to you"

From the "Hey, Columbus Council!" department - Online headline/story: "Marietta PD is fully staffed, even has a waiting list; chief tells us how they do it * Law enforcement agencies across the country are struggling to hire new officers, but one local police department doesn't have that problem. The Marietta Police department is fully staffed with 142 officers. The department said they even have a waiting list. * "We focus on people and understanding young people and figure out what their expectations are," said Marietta Police Chief Dan Flynn. * Chief Flynn said the key is to focus on today's recruits, who are typically 20 to 35 years old, and figure out what is important to them. He said they want to feel like they're making a difference and feel appreciated. " -- Hmmm... sounds like the place a lot of other police officers will apply to as well. Maybe Columbus should......(fill in the blanks).

I'm mortified...had to run to Publix for a couple of essentials for our traditional New Years Day supper. Got'em, and as it was about noon, decided to go by Wendy's for a quick lunch. Went to the drive thru speaker and as I perused the menu, a voice came thru, "We don't open until 12:00. I looked at my clock and saw it was 11:55, so I said, "Well I'm here and you're here and it's almost noon, so can't we do business? Silence.... followed by more silence...at 11:59 I drove off. I bet the Wendy's manager is glad I wasn't his/her District boss.

Based on the Democrats' move to eliminate "So help me God" from any oath of truth they swear to in House proceedings, my nomination for the least favorite ..the least repeated...Bible verse of the liberals is 2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Why is it that when MSM-13 asks questions about US policies, and President Trump gives them a diversionary response so he doesn't reveal his goals to enemies or competitors , MSM-13 calls him a liar, yet when Schi** and PeLOUSY, and Nadler told lies during the impeachment proceedings, it was ho-hummed, or when Hellary lies whenever she speaks, MSM-13 pretends it's gospel?

Columbus Ledger-Enquirer headline/story: "Georgia election preview: Who’s on ballot in Columbus * The presidential preference primary and special election will be held on March 24. * The Muscogee County School District is also scheduled to hold an Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum on the same day. It’s expected to raise $189 million over five years to fund capital projects for the school system. * Also on the general election ballot, Columbus Council is expecting to hold a special purpose local option sales tax referendum, which could raise $350 million over a 10-year-period for capital projects including a new Government Center." -- Hmmm.. first.. the MCSD should not be allowed to run a tax referendum during the March Primaries... there's only one party who will have such. Secondly, the MCSD has pumped up the projects to an amount which, based on history, will not be raised.. the MCSD feels it will raise $2,800,000.00 more money per year than the City using the same tax rate of 1%. Thirdly, contact your representatives to push for all tax referendums to be allowed ONLY during the November General Election date.. it's not right that such a low response in a primary race will determine the whole city's tax increases.

Additionally, the L-E says, "Former two-term Columbus mayor Teresa Tomlinson announced her bid for the U.S. Senate seat as a Democrat earlier this year, challenging incumbent Perdue, a Republican." -- She cannot run against Senator Perdue UNTIL.... UNTIL she wins the Democratic Primary in March.

Columbus L-E headline/story: "Chairman named for Georgia House rules panel * A Republican from Columbus has been named chairman of the powerful Georgia House Rules Committee. * The appointment of Rep. Richard Smith was announced Tuesday by House Speaker David Ralston. The committee was previously headed by Rep. Jay Powell, a Republican, who died after collapsing at a lawmaker retreat in November. * The Rules Committee controls what bills reach the state House floor for a vote." - Congratulations, Richard! Please make the issue of all tax referendums to be offered ONLY on the General Election date your first triumph for the citizens of Georgia!

Columbus L-E headline/story: "Man shot to death at Elizabeth Canty Homes in Columbus * Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison was called to the housing complex off Cusseta Road at 1:30 a.m. after police found Jackson shot and unresponsive at 1:15 a.m." - Hmmm... tough timeline call.. was this our first homicide of 2020.. or was it actually the last one of 2019 but not discovered until the wee hours of 2020? If it happened in 2019, it would be the 42nd.. and raise our homicides per 100K population to nearly 22.

Thank goodness President Trump will not treat the raid on the American Embassy in Iraq like the Obama/Hellary handling of Benghazi!
