From the "and how is this possible?" department - Online headline/story: "U.S. judge blocks Louisiana voting map that creates just one Black district * A U.S. judge on Monday blocked a Louisiana Republican redistricting map that created only one majority-Black congressional district in the state, ordering the state legislature to redraw the map with a second such district within the next two weeks." -- We live in a time when a neighborhood.. a township... is being created in GA that will be 100% Blacks.. and no court has stopped this.. but in the case of Congressional Districts, if care is made to make equal sized boundaried areas that are consistent, then the population of those "boundaried areas" are determined by the people who choose to live within them.. How, then, can Districts be drawn up by racial or political data that won't be illegal?

Here's the LA House Districting map.. Where... for that matter.. how... can you divvy up the numbers by race that wouldn't be discriminating against another race?

As it is, House District 2.. basically, the Inner City of New Orleans is the only District that has elected a Democrat Representative.. but don't forget that the Governor of Louisiana is a Democrat as well which undermines the issues of this Democrat judge.

Think about this.. Hotels and motels need to be held accountable for the rates they charge.. we book a room by the day, yet we usually can't check in until 3:00/4:00 PM, and are expected to check out by 10:00/11:00 AM the next morning.. so why do we get charged for a full day?
