Why hasn't the "leaker" of that US Supreme Court document been revealed? The longer he/she isn't exposed, the more certain it becomes likely that an actual Justice was responsible....

Online story: " A protester (LaToya Ratlieff) who suffered eye damage when a rubber bullet fired by Fort Lauderdale police struck her in the face during a 2020 protest over George Floyd's murder filed a federal lawsuit this week accusing the officer and the department of violating her civil rights." -- Good grief! Any event that evolves into the necessity of there being police intervention for violence is not a protest, it's a riot.. and Ratlieff just confessed to being a part of it...

From the "Biases? What biases?" department - Online story: "Sen. Roland Gutierrez said the pleas for help from people inside Robb Elementary School on May 24 did not make their way to school district police Chief Pete Arredondo. The Democratic senator called it a “system failure” that calls were going to the city police but were not communicated to Arredondo. * “I want to know specifically who was receiving the 911 calls,” Gutierrez said during a news conference, adding that no single person or entity was fully to blame for the massacre. * However, he said, Republican Gov. Greg Abbot should accept much of the responsibility for the failures in the police response." -- There are a lot of questions to be asked/answered, but "pointing the political finger of blame" at the Governor for the failures of a local school system is incredulous! Other questions come to mind that need to be answered are: 1 - Why are school systems creating here own "police departments" rather than utilizing better trained full-time law enforcement officers of the city? 2 - Why are 2nd-thru-4th grade students (8-to-10 year olds) having cellphones at school? 3- Why does the journalist point out the political party of the governor but not the party of the "blamer"? and... 4 - Why are the CYA commenters not challenged and held accountable with "recall" efforts?

From the "there's more substantiation for a counter suit than the lawsuit" department - Online story: " A California screen printer is suing the U.S. Postal Service for seizing shipments of Black Lives Matter masks intended to protect demonstrators from Covid-19 during protests following the May 2020 murder of George Floyd. * The cloth masks, with slogans like "Stop killing Black people" and "Defund police," were purchased by the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) and were meant to be shipped to D.C., St. Louis, New York City and Minneapolis, where Floyd was killed by a police officer. But four boxes containing about 500 masks each were marked as "Seized by law enforcement" and their shipment was delayed more than 24 hours." -- Hmmm.. with current revelations that "cloth masks" are totally inefficient for Covid-19 protection, the USPS was spot-on in stopping them, and now the USPS should counter-sue the manufacturer for MAIL FRAUD for claiming the masks were for Covid-19 protection...

From the "Good Grief!" department - Online story: "SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A ban on transgender athletes playing on girls’ sports teams is being challenged in court in Utah, one of more than a dozen states that have passed similar bans throughout the last two years. * Two anonymous families who sued Tuesday said the ban wrongly keeps their children from playing the sports they love with their friends. * “My last season playing volleyball was one of the best times of my life,” one plaintiff, a 16-year-old high school junior, said in a statement. “I loved my teammates, felt part of something bigger than myself ... I just want to play on a team like any other kid.”" -- First.. in a case involving public doctrine there shouldn't be any "anonymous" lawsuits... secondly, The only legitimate lawsuit would be after requesting that school system create a boys' volleyball team or a mixed-doubles volleyball team...and the school system rejecting the plea.

Here we are in baseball season.. and between MLB's and Stacey Abrams vindictive denial of allowing the 2021 All-Star game staying in in Atlanta, and SF Giants' manager asinine comments.. MLB just joined the same "household blackout" as the NFL and NBA.. You know, Soccer may become the only professional team sport I watch...

Online catastrophe: " The U.S. Department of Education on Wednesday said it will cancel all remaining federal student loans used to attend any campus of for-profit Corinthian Colleges Inc, which shut down in 2015 amid multiple federal and state investigations into whether it misled investors and students. * The decision, which Vice President Kamala Harris will discuss publicly on Thursday, will result in $5.8 billion in loan forgiveness for 560,000 borrowers, the largest single such move ever made by the department, department officials said. * "The reality is that far too many students have been left worse off than if they had never gone to college at all," a second official said, citing "troubling racial disparities. * The department's move will cancel outstanding loans. Borrowers who have not paid off their debt will receive refunds of past loan payments, officials said. But borrowers who fully paid off their loans will not receive refunds, they said." -- There's so much wrong with every aspect of this... and the liberal Department of Education is responsible for ALL of it.. It's federal regulations that created the scam opportunity for "colleges" to dupe ill-prepared students into non-qualified loan status, and federal regulations made it easier to over-burden Black students, and now federal regulations are penalizing the RESPONSIBLE loan recipients and responsible TAXPAYERS!

I was watching Disney with a couple of my grandchildren last weekend, and I had a realization... Disney grew to it's dominance...prominence..on entertainment that wouldn't even get produced today...and Disney might not even exist at all if it tried to start out producing shows it makes today back then...

Resident Biden "says" he doesn't keep up with poll numbers.. Well, it this is true, it's only because his White House "handlers" have not sent them across a Teleprompter Screen...

---
Online headline: "CMA Fest bans Confederate flag imagery ‘of any kind’ at country music festival" -- Good! Now let's get all foreign flag imagery banned as well as banning all ethic private groups' promoting bigotry or hate from flying their flags on any public streets/venues.

Online headline: "Harvard graduate walks out of Merrick Garland's commencement address *
Emma Heussner, who earned a master's in psychology, could not sit through the attorney general's speech at Harvard" -- The only thing missing was Bob Dylan looking at Merrick Garland and singing, "How Does It feel"! Oh.. and Harvard owes Emma Heussner's parents a huge apology for not having tickets for their daughter's graduation ceremony!

Hmmm... seems the White House "handlers" can't find ways to blame trump on these:

Resident Biden had his famous "Day 1" and months of Number 2:

--------------------------

Yesterday, Columbus celebrated the life of Bob Hydrick, 83.... as he was laid to rest by a crowd of admirers...Bob was highly involved in our community in commerce, politics, and leadership.. and deeply set in my personal life as well... we had an over 50 year friendship that ranged from personal customer, personal relations, family relations and friendship support.. I not only had Bob in my life, but his sweet.. and feisty... bride, and their children in various degrees... one of which I got to coach in Peach Little League baseball. Bob was one of my original "BCers" (Breakfast Clubbers) when I began a local e-mail of my daily observations of the world and our City.. Bob was also my conscience.. he let me know when he disagreed.. or saw I might have missed an angle on something I mentioned. One such exchange involved the Veterans Parkway Streetscape Project in the UpTown area.. It was a project to give a fresh, up-to-date image to that part of our City..It put medians and landscape improvements that were geared to improve traffic issue in that vital section.. It eliminated a lot of cross-traffic-left-turns which caused traffic jams and fender-benders. One such "addition" was a u-turn lane at Veterans and 10th Street. After it was completed, I toured the area and noticed a situation that needed some more work.. I went home and swapped my sedan for my Silverado truck and returned, and tried to make a south-to-north u-turn from the special lane and I couldn't make the turn without running into the east side of Veterans curb. I had to back up and maneuver my truck to complete the u-turn... and I wasn't even pulling a trailer.. I thought, "wow" .. whatta mess this would cause in any "rush-hour traffic.. I wrote about it in the next days' Breakfast Club blog.. A couple of hours later, I gotta call from Bob.. questioning my statement because the "Streetscape Committee" had the design drawn up by the "best street designer in America!" I asked Bob if he had tried to make that turn in a pick-up... here was a moment silence, then a slow... "n-o-o-o" .. I offered him use of mine if he wanted to try it himself. He said he had access to such, and would get back to me later.. A couple of hours later, Bob called me back.. and said, "Thank you.. we're gonna fix it..".. I drove back the next day, and that u-turn lane had traffic barriers in it, and a few weeks later, the right-of-way area in front of the then CB&T (now Synovus) Bank had been dug-out and became part of Veterans Parkway so trucks could make that u-turn without obstruction.. Like I said, Bob Hydrick was a good man and community leader.. and my friend...I'm gonna really miss him..
