From the "can Representative Hank Johnson, D-GA, account for his whereabouts?" department - Online headline/story: "Hong Kong's iconic Jumbo Floating Restaurant capsizes at sea ^ The restaurant encountered “adverse conditions” on Saturday as it was passing the Xisha Islands, also known as the Paracel Islands, in the South China Sea, and water entered the vessel and it began to tip, according to Aberdeen Restaurant Enterprises Ltd. * “As the water depth at the scene is over 1,000 meters, (it makes it) extremely difficult to carry out salvage works,” it said in a statement." -- So a "floating island" tipped over? You have to wonder if Hank Johnson, D-GA, was here on a junket to collaborate an "island" sinking in order to support his thesis that Guam could capsize as as well...

From the "Three Card Monte/Find the Lady" department - Online story: "Attorney General Merrick Garland made an unannounced visit to Ukraine Tuesday for a meeting with Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova to discuss the continuing effort to identify and apprehend suspected war criminals, according to a Justice Department official. * “America, and the world, are watching very closely what is happening in Ukraine," Garland said during a virtual meeting last month with his Ukrainian counterpart and other allies." -- “America, and the world, are watching very closely what is happening in Ukraine"? Well, America and the world are watching, but America and the world also are watching the DOJ accomplish absolutely nothing about Hunter and JoKKKe Biden, Jeffrey Epstein and the Clintons, or our Southern Border illegal alien, drug & people trafficking.

Granted... that since since the "Committee to SAVE the Chattahoochee" diverted itself into the "Committee to PAVE the Chattahoochee", having a business to capitalize on it has been a physical/fiscal boost for Uptown, but has it been a Fiscal boost for all of Columbus? Such bi-state river based enterprises are exempt from collecting sales taxes, so Columbus just gets a negotiated 3.5% fee (*) from sales originating in Columbus (Phenix City gets the fee when the sale originates there), but yesterday, I noticed one of the Whitewater buses operating here was not only purchased outside the Columbus area, it's registered as a Commercial Bus in Tennessee, so even the original sales taxes were paid to Tennessee, not Columbus or Georgia, so neither our City nor state has benefited as this bus uses local and state maintained streets and highways.. Whitewater needs to be a better citizen!
(*) - 3.5% which is a deductible tax/business expense for Whitewater while all other Columbus businesses collect 9% in sales taxes directly from users who mostly cannot deduct such.

From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online story: "ABC's "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin said Tuesday that Republicans have blocked legislation put forth by the Biden administration in an effort to curb inflation, lower gas prices and address the baby formula crisis. * Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar have shifted blame from Biden and his administration with regard to inflation, gas prices and the baby formula crisis.
* Goldberg said on May 18 that gas prices weren't high because of "anything that Biden did" and that it was just going to be something he absorbs. * She also said the baby formula shortage was not on him." -- Question: Since when is the person in charge NOT responsible for what happens on his/her watch?
---
Online headline: "Biden administration expected to reduce cigarettes' nicotine levels" -- Talk about bad timing... for SMOKERS!... Now cigarettes will soar in price to the smokers as the industry adds in the cost of another Socialist-Democrat regulation!
---
Online headline: 'Texas official: Uvalde classroom door unlocked during shooting as officers waited for keys: 'Abject failure'" -- Hmmm... and if that teacher had made sure the external door locked behind her, this probably wouldn't have happened!
---
Online headline: 'Kamala Harris, DNC fundraiser ticket prices slashed amid low approval ratings" -- Good grief! JoKKKe Biden was suppose to be the prop to give Chuckles a positive boost that she never attained for herself.. but little did she know he'd be an anchor instead...
---
Online headline: 'Israel calls for new elections one month before Biden visit" -- Hmmm and Netanyahu is running again.. wonder when Obama/Biden will start trying to interfere t=with this election, too...
---
Online headline: "CNN has smallest weekday audience among advertiser-coveted demo in 22 years * Struggling CNN averaged only 56,000 viewers between ages 25-54 on Friday" -- The population of the US hovers around 332,000,000 now counting the estimated illegal aliens that reside here...about 153,000,000 are between the ages of 25 & 54... and CNN could only draw 56,000 viewers? Most people wouldn't comprehend the statistical percentage this is, but I can give some perspective most can.. %6,000 people in the prime of their physical and FISCAL lives is barely half the number of Americans who are 100 year old or over! What an ad seller's nightmare!
---
One of my brokers just informed me that the latest "Consumer Sentiment" figure is out, and it's THE WORST... SINCE 1952! That's 70 years ago! Even the number during Carter's term wasn't as bad... Democrats have a huge problem... even CNN won't... CAN'T.. avoid reporting this.
---
Online headline: 'As fentanyl deaths climb, drug cartels target our precious teens" -- You know... the "Wall" could have been finished during Trump's presidency if Queen PeLOUSY had wanted it to be.
---
Online "headLIE" : "Larry Summers says Americans will have to lose jobs to ease inflation * The jobless rate must rise to 5% over five years, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers says" -- Sorta putting the cart before the donkey.. there are still so many jobs that need to filled in order for people to lose them.
---
Resident Biden told a reporter that Larry Summers told him that a recession is not inevitable. On the other hand, Larry Summers has been on Fox News saying he definitely sees a recession coming... Now, who you gonna believe, Larry Summers or Resident Biden telling you what Larry Summers told him?
---
Wow! It isn't very reassuring to hear Resident Biden proclaim recession is " not inevitable", especially when he denies his shutting down our oil industry has caused the gasoline cost to soar, denies excessive government spending has caused hyper-inflation, and denies drugs and crime increase are fueled by the open Southern Border.

From the "just in case Columbus GA Council missed this" department - Online headline: 'Supreme Court sides with Minneapolis residents suing over depleted police force, minimum 731 officers required * Minneapolis police struggling to recruit new police officers despite having enough funding * The Minnesota Supreme Court delivered a win Monday for a group of Minneapolis residents who have been suing over an influx of crime into their neighborhood following the defund police movement, ruling the city is not hiring the approximately 731 police officers required under its charter. * The nine-page order, issued Monday by Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea, stems from a lawsuit brought by a group of eight North Side residents who sued Mayor Jacob Frey and the Minneapolis City Council for not fulfilling their obligation to fund and employ 0.0017 sworn police officers per Minneapolis resident." -- Hey Council! Voters gave you the Public Safety LOST to add 100 new officers in 2008... that was 15 years ago, and no Council has fulfilled that promise!
---
Online headline: "MSNBC's Joy Reid complains 'media does not want to be at war' with Republicans" -- Hmmm... I guess MSNBC took inventory of it's arsenal and realized it has only "pea" and "spitball" shooters against the Republicans' howitzers...
---
Online headline: "Hillary Clinton's flip flop on transgender issues: From 'highest priority' to 'should not be a priority' * Clinton just months ago tweeted, 'We must stand up for trans people' -- Hmmm... guess Hellary finally realized that true LGBTQ and most transgenders really just want peace, quiet , and equality/tranquility in their lives, not unfair sports advantages over biological women.
---
Online headline: "Iranian vessel comes within 50 yards of US ship that responds with warning flare " -- Fired a "warning flare"? Good grief! That oughta bring the "Green wackos" and "save the whale" movements out in protest at the Biden's Delaware beach house.
---
WTVM=TV9 headline/story: "Abrams tries to flip script on guns and crime in Georgia * She wants to reverse multiple laws that Georgia Republicans have enacted since 2014 loosening restrictions on guns." -- Hmmm.. hey.. law abiding Democrat voters.. Stacey Abrams wants to keep you from being able defend your family from street gangs/thugs!
---
From the "even Barney Fife had fewer restraints" department - Online headline: "Chicago police are no longer allowed to chase people on foot just for running away * Officers won’t be allowed to chase people on foot if they suspect them of minor offenses such as parking violations, driving on suspended licenses or drinking alcohol in public." -- Good grief! -- Hmmm... maybe Shicago's mayor should just make the Police officers wear "ball and chains"...
---
Looks like Representative James Clyburn, D-SC, has reversed his opinion of Resident Biden... Clyburn "made" Biden relevant in 2020 with his endorsement prior to the South Carolina Democrat Primary, and now Clyburn says, "If you can't afford the price of gas, you're in a recession."
---
It's sad when we can't get the amount of money the Columbus GA Water Works has spent on lawyers fighting the EPA for the last 6.5 years about bringing our Fecal Matter content in the water to smaller amounts.
---
You know inflation is soaring when you go to Sam's and realize buying in bulk there is no longer cheaper than buying smaller amounts of products at Publix.
---
We have seen some pretty SLICK ads featuring Senator Warnock recently... well-produced and highly evasive of reality and facts.. and the money that's poured in from "non-Georgia sources" is huge as the Socialist-Democrats try to stay in power after the upcoming mid-term elections. Warnock seems to be totally oblivious to inflation, crime, and border issues, and has not addressed his solutions for anybody dealing with those problems.
---
Wow! Last month, I went to the gov website and ordered the in-stock home Covid-19 test kits Resident Biden has been pushing so hard on TV. Guess what ..I gotta an e-mail .. not a "snail mail"... from the USPS Tuesday Morning ... saying I should get half of them in 3 days... makes you really wonder if a test result can really be efficient.
---
Of course the higher income people will benefit from Student Loan cancellation by the Democrats... that's by design! The Dems feel they'll get more long-term donations from folks that they buy off than they will from people who take responsibility for their own debts..
---
From the "I surely hope this is an April Fool's Day joke" - Online headline/story: "British man turned away from giving blood after refusing to answer if he was pregnant * Potential blood donors in Scotland are asked if they are pregnant as part of a mission to promote inclusiveness, officials said" -- Sorry.. it's not an April Fool's Day headline.. it happened this week!
---
Online headline: "Elon Musk's transgender child looks to change name to cut all ties with father" -- Hmmm... Wanna bet "she" doesn't return any trust fund accounts that were set up for her when "she" was Musk's son?
---
Congratulations to Joanne Cogle as she'll be joining Columbus GA Council in January of 2023 as the new District 7 Councilor!
