From the "because Chaos Master Rahm Emmanuel is still amongst us" department - Online headline: "States rush to expand gun rights despite calls for stricter laws" -- I thank our Founding Fathers for it's vision to circumvent an out-of-control political party's actions. The 1st and 2nd Amendments protect all of us.. and I thank the Constitutionally educated legislators in the states that support our Constitution...

We need to redefine the designation of Democrat DAs in Blue Cities, States, and the Federal level, too. . No longer is District Attorney appropriate .. Not prosecuting recidivist felons for new felonies and letting recidivist felons back on the street...even with ADEQUATE bail makes the streets even more dangerous for law abiding citizens and Law Enforcement officers . Nothing encourages more bad action than not holding criminals responsible and accountable for what they have already done. I suggest we refer to Blue City/State/Federal DA's as "Dumb Arses".

Those flights from Europe bringing in baby formula are... for the lack of a better word.. just another bad JoKKKe Biden effort in futility.. a 78,000 pound load might prepare between 700,000 and 1,000,000 8 oz bottles, but that won't feed all the babies in America but for one time (maybe) on one day...

---
What's this blatantly empty squawk from the White House "handlers" trying to clarify Resident Biden gaffes? Hmmm... Can you imagine an army of corporate PR personnel rushing out to clarify what the Corporate Chairman/CEO said minutes before in a Wall Street or Shareholder meeting?

Columbus, GA missed a great opportunity when John Anker was not elected as out new Mayor..Yesterday, he held a "thank you" celebration for his workers and pledged his support for Mayor Skip for next term..

Online headline/story: "Former Muscogee Co. deputy clerk, 7 co-defendants to be sentenced in court * COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A former Muscogee County Deputy Clerk convicted of a multi-million dollar fraud case will learn his fate in court on Thursday, June 2. * 64-year-old Willie Demps, of Phenix City, and seven co-defendants all pleaded guilty to an elaborate scheme from 2010 to 2019. * In February, Demps pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and two counts tax evasion. He faces up to 40 years in federal prison. * Curtis Porch, Dereen Porch, Terry McBride, Samuel Cole, George Cook, Lamarcus Palmer and Rosalee Bassi along with Demps are scheduled to be sentenced at 9:30 Thursday morning in U.S. District Court." -- Hey, Elizabeth Barfield.. City of Columbus Internal Auditor... THIS is why we should not rely only om electronic data/records!

Columbus L-E headline: "After delays, new Columbus VA clinic is expected to open next month" -- Hmmm.. This "event" happened on May 31st... so... did Congressman Bishop mean "next month" as June.. or July?

It really bothered me that our new Police vehicles will blend in with civilian vehicles, and one of the main reason for doing so was the saving on paint jobs.. that's pretty weak.. It reminds me of the original arguments for the River Road Roundabout... that we'd save money on electricity used for the Traffic Lights... Hmm.. I also remember that the original costs for the Roundabout were projected at $1m250,000.00 and the state was paying for it,, Four or five years later, after two "redesigns", the project came in at nearly $5,000,000.00... and Columbus taxpayers PAID for it... What's not mentioned... ever... is the "savings" on electricity costs from not having Traffic Lights... and for good reasons... sure, there are no Traffic Lights now, BUT there are electric lights on every night, and there is an automatic sprinkler system... "electricity run" of course. What I'd like to see are the reports on "accidents/fender-benders" since the Roundabout was put into service.. I've actually seen..or seen evidence of.. a lot more than I remember when the intersection was controlled by traffic lights...

---Online YAHOO headline: "More than 4,000 Salesforce (*) employees have signed an open letter demanding the company cut ties with the NRA." -- Good grief! The NRA is the largest advocate for gun safety... How much more Disinformation can MSM advocate "for"?

(*) -Salesforce is a software company that the NRA uses for Fundraising etc.

Online headline: "LeVar Burton was 'wrecked' to not get 'Jeopardy' hosting job, says 'the fix was in'." -- Good grief! This sounds like the sequel to Jussie Smollett's' racist claims!

---
Online story: "On this first day of the Atlantic hurricane season, federal officials are launching a new initiative to modernize building codes so that communities can be more resilient to hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, and other extreme weather events that are intensifying due to climate change." -- Good grief! What a way to ruin vacations and the vacation rental business! With what government regulations will add to the costs of construction, new and remodeling projects will be unaffordable, and rental costs for those who can still afford to build such...And not just in Florida...

---
Online headline: "Biden says US won't try to oust Putin, months after saying he 'cannot remain in power'" -- Could it simply be that at that time, Putin was a solo rogue despot.. but since then has picked up Xi Jinping of China as an ally?

---
From the "No wonder Columbus, GA Council is having a tough time getting Lifeguard applicants... maybe...." department - Online headline: "Lifeguards for the City of Los Angeles are raking in big bucks, with the highest-paid earning more than $500,000 in pay and benefits last year." -- On the other hand, Columbus taxpayers would probably benefit more if the one outdoor pool and the Aquacenter just shutdown completely, and Council didn't need to hire any more Lifeguards..

---
From the "I wonder when "Hamilton" producer, , will produce a modern stage version of Pinocchio?" department - Online headline/story: "Biden keeps repeating false Second Amendment claim, despite repeated fact checks * Biden repeatedly and falsely claims, 'You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed' * "The Second Amendment was never absolute," he said Monday, according to a White House transcript. "You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed. You couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons." * Biden has repeated the claim at least five times during his presidency, despite it earning him "Four Pinocchios" from the Washington Post in 2021 and a "False" label from Politifact on three separate occasions dating back to May 2020." -- Hmmm and contrary to Resident Biden and and the White House "handlers", "The Second Amendment as it is written does not limit who can "keep and bear arms" or what kind of arms people can keep and bear. Federal gun regulation didn’t come until 1934, decades after the Second Amendment was introduced, according to Politifact." In fact.. "The Constitution does, however, give Congress the power to "grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal," which were government licenses that allowed civilians to attack and detain vessels of countries at war with the U.S., The Washington Post pointed out in 2021. * "Individuals who were given these waivers and owned warships obviously also obtained cannons for use in battle," The Post reported at the time.

Online headline: "Georgia voters expose the ‘Jim Crow’ smear as a lie " -- Now.. wait a minute.. the only lie about Jim Crow was the Democrats trying to point their fingers at the Republican Party.. It may not be in "current" history books provided to today's students, but previous generations still alive REMEMBER Jim Crow was the Democrat agenda.. and still is!

Columbus L-E headline/story: "Private donors will spend at least $190k on Columbus police study. Here’s what we know: The Columbus Council on Tuesday unanimously agreed to participate in a privately funded assessment of the city’s police department that will cost at least $189,507. * A group of retired and current executives from Columbus’ private sector led the fundraising efforts and selected Baltimore-based Jensen Hughes, Inc to conduct the evaluation, Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson told the council. * Henderson has met with the executives since August 2021, though he did not identify the names of the people and organizations involved. * The funding for the assessment will be held by the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley in the newly formed Columbus Safe Streets Fund." -- First a curiosity question.. if this has been in the works since AUGUST of last year, why hasn't it been brought up before.. especially since it street safety was/is a big concern of the voters? Another appropriate question is, "What insight would a firm from Baltimore offer Columbus, GA? Have you seen the crime stats in Baltimore?"

---
Online story: "Dozens of Georgia Republican state lawmakers belong to Facebook groups pushing messages on the fringe of the conservative mainstream. The most common themes of the far-right Facebook pages joined by Georgia GOP lawmakers are Tea Party membership, opposition to COVID-19 safety restrictions, opposition to Common Core in education and opposition to Critical Race Theory in public schools." -- Hmmm.. so a politician joining a group listed above that is interested in what's being crammed down the throats of students in public schools is a right-winger? Hmmm.. yet the group, The Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights, a think tank that defends democracy and human rights, feels it is not a Left-Wing organization though it promotes BLM protests, Antifa, and advocates segregation and bigotry itself.. I find it interesting the The Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights has no issue with Democrats who join groups promoting Far Left Agenda..
