Unfortunately, Council wrongly.. if not CRIMINALLY...diverted tax dollars the public voted for to build outdoor neighborhood recreation center pools into the current indoor AquaCenter fiasco!...if Columbus Council cannot get the AquaCenter operating at a profit sustaining state, then it needs to be shut down and another use found for the building..

With so many rules to follow about signs in Columbus, GA, you'd think there would be one that made removal of business signs on buildings/property of businesses that have closed their doors mandatory within a reasonable length of time (6 months?). One situation that is particularly egregious is the GA POWER COMPANY at it's closed building on Veterans Parkway. Why are we subjected to this?

Looks like Governor Kemp opened a Pandora's Box of political woes when he "suspended" the 30+ cents per gallon GA tax on gasoline.. Gas prices rose even more than that, so he extended the suspension, but now it's going up more, and he's trapped himself into having to extend it at least through the November General Election or be beaten over the head with it by the Democrat game plan..
