The 'centerpiece' of potUS Nero-bama's HELL-thSCare Bull was "lower costs". The CBO published numbers on what proposed that somewhat confirmed his claims. Now the CBO is saying healthcare costs will escalate to the point that it will destroy this economy by overloading the National Debt-to-GNP ratio. Hurry November!!!

L-E headline/story: "Georgia Power rate hike proposal would cost residents $11 a month * The full increase would push the average residential bill up by $10.88, or 8.2 percent. * Business customers would see their bills rise between 7.7 percent and 10.3 percent, depending on their rate plan" -- The economy is down, unemployment is up, people are adjusting their thermostats to less comfortable living conditions, and GA Power says it can't operate with out an increase that's over 5+ times the rate of what anyone who has savings left can get in interest. What's needed is a cost cutting/containment plan from GA Power, not an inflation causing increase!

L-E headline/story: "Mayor axes $500,000 pilot program amid investigation * Wetherington said he couldn’t afford to put money into program until issue resolved * The three-month summer program would have come under the Office of Crime Prevention and been administered at the Frank D. Chester Recreation and Senior Center on Benning Drive." -- Starting such a program would be a crime committed with Crime Prevention money! $500,000 for 150 youth in facilities already owned by the City (US). That would be over a $1100.00 a month per child. Think of how many YMCA or Boys & Girls Club memberships could be scholarshipped for a whole lot less money! Just an additional demonstration that the Public Safety LOST is a political slush fund for the Mayor!
