The Breakfast Club - July 6, 2010

Online story: "TBILISI, Georgia (July 5) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton rebuked Russia on Monday for failing to live up to the cease-fire agreement it signed nearly two years ago to end the fighting in this small former Soviet state." -- Wonder if we'll see a new Kathleen Parker commentary saying Hillary is more of a man than potUS Nero-bama?
---
Online story: "NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world. " -- Well, we certainly have our share of Muslims 'rocketing" across our border as illegal aliens.
---
Just curious, but why would Sanford Bishop want to put a "Re-elect Sanford Bishop" sign up on River Road?
---
Did you blink and miss it? The most racially and sexually biased Federal tax ever passed just went in to effect...The 10% 'indoor tanning tax'. Congress may as well passed a tax for just being a white female.
---
After letting another country's President address a joint session of Congress and chastise our country and an individual state concerning our immigration laws is bad ENOUGH, but for every DIM/DUMBorat representative present to give him a 'Standing O" is almost treasonous. Any one who votes for any DIM/DUMBorat this November should have his/her citizenship revoked.
---
Online headline: "Kobayashi Arrested at Coney Island Hot Dog Contest" -- Guess it was OK to eat one, but not be one.
---
Online story: "July 5 -- China today ignored a personal appeal from President Barack Obama and sentenced a U.S. geologist to eight years in prison for buying confidential information about China's oil industry. The court in Beijing also fined Xue Feng $30,000 for attempting to obtain and traffic state secrets." -- OK,,,so much for his "apology tour" generating any respect for potUS Nero-bama. China knows he will either bow or kow-tow before it's over.
---
Online headline: "Head of black pastor's group angered NAACP backs pot legalization" -- Wonder if the NCAAP will want to legalize 'kettle', too?
---
Looks like it's about time for our City Manager, and our Parks & Rec director and staff to pull a "Damon Evans"...resign for the good of the program.
---
Online story: "LONDON — Like millions of her subjects, Queen Elizabeth II is going to have to make do and mend — cutting spending and putting off palace repairs as royal finances are squeezed by Britain’s budget crisis.* Britain’s public sector is facing cuts as the government tries to eliminate a record deficit" -- Meanwhile, our Congress accepts pay raises, and potUS Nero-bama eats $100.00 per pound Kobi steaks.
---
L-E headline/story: "ANOTHER REASON TO HATE KUDZU * Researchers say the fast-growing pest vine contributes to ozone pollution: -- Where's Algore! I guess finding out that "Being Green" is not necessarily 'correct'.
---
What is and how do you "recycle natural gas"? Saw a sign on a GA Power vehicle saying it was powered by 'recycled natural gas"; if it had said it was powered by political BS or hot air, I could have figured it out.
---
L-E headline: "Suspicious Minds * Mexico’s election results reveal voters don’t trust any of the parties right now " -- Sorta universal....
---
L-E story: "CHICAGO — Giving teens 30 extra minutes to start their school day leads to more alertness in class * Researchers say there’s a reason why even 30 minutes can make a big difference. Teens tend to be in their deepest sleep around dawn — when they typically need to arise for school. " There's a more practical solution than giving teens an excuse of being "victims of society"; have them go to bed 30 minutes earlier!
