From L-E story: "The 2,800 ballots mailed out automatically go to anyone who voted absentee via mail in the Nov. 2 general election, 600 of those to deployed military personnel, so not all of them will be returned, Boren said." -- This is disastrously wrong!
While sending out absentee ballots to the deployed is right because of the time and distance involved, sending out the other ones without requests is a recipe for fraud.

While on a news show Sunday, Sen. Lindsey Graham says that when he retires, he will get both military and Congressional retirement benefits so he is 'wiling' to forego Social Security benefits. Excuse me? Since when has the Congressional retirement plan been a part of Social Security? The fact that Congress has a separate plan has been quite an issue.

L-E headline: " U.S., S. Korea launch war games" -- Ooops. my bad. Thought Electronic Arts was announcing a new computer game for the holidays.
---
L-e story: "GENEVA — Swiss voters on Sunday approved a plan to automatically deport foreigners who commit serious crimes or benefit fraud, in a significant victory for the nationalist party that pushed the proposal against the will of the government." -- Looks like the Swiss have their own version of the T.E.A. Party. ....perhaps H.O.T. Cocoa?
---
L-E sub-headline: " Richt indicates he has no interest in Miami position " -- Hmmm, wonder if Alabama's Alumni group has already submitted Saban as a nominee?
