Though I read this in a report of a tragic building collapse story out of India, the "top official" there might consider a name change before becoming a public spokesperson. I'm sure, in India, her name has a honorable history, but due to cultural nuances, Sheila Dikshit should avoid being published in English based journalism.

Well, I'll be....Congressman Heath Shuler, DIM/DUMB from North Carolina is going to challenge Nancy Pelosi for the Minority Leader post in Congress. How novel; he campaigned on doing so, and now we have a DIM/DUMB actually trying to keep a campaign promise. Unfortunately, I hope Pelosi wins so we have her as the 2012 poster child for "MORE CHANGE".

I wish potUS Imam-a's 'trial balloon team' would stop referring to the tax cuts that PPOUS Bush 43's Congress passed as "Bush Tax Cuts". They are the law of the land through this year, and potUS Imam-a's Congress has the option to keep the tax at the same level or enact the "potUS Imam-a tax increase".

From L-E story: "During last week’s work session, (School System Superintendent) Andrews said most of the district’s energy consumption is “people-driven” and that the (LEED certification) resolution would encourage employees to monitor their energy consumption habits." -- It would be cheaper, and probably a lot more productive to issue an order that employees monitor their energy consumption or be fired.

ARC - While it's admirable to want to start an entity that will focus on helping those with any kind of learning/living disability, isn't it counter productive to create a new diversion for money needs when another organization has the capability to address an issue? Why start a fund-competing program when you could volunteer to help an existing program?
This is what has happened to most government programs. Too many individual programs offering a duplicity of service, but because each program has its own separate administrative costs, the lion's share of the available funds go to government employees versus people with needs.

L-E headline/story: "Georgia wants new voters to prove their citizenship * critics argue that legal voters may be kept off the rolls because they didn’t have a Georgia driver’s license, birth certificate, or other valid form of ID required by the law. " -- "legal voters may be kept off the rolls"? If they are "legal voters", they are already "on the rolls", and have already proven their status. Betcha there's not a non-DIM/DUMBorat amongst the 'critics'.

L-E headline: "U.S. hunger rates slows, remains at highest level * 50 million in U.S. aren’t getting enough to eat" -- Libs need to co-ordinate their facts and figures. While one group protests restaurants as the cause of our extensive obesity problem, another says 1-in-6 in America don't get enough to eat.

Charlie Rangel....he's already trying to 'wrangle' his way out of his trial.

Sanford Bishop should be next in line for an ethics trial. It's bad enough when a Congressman can use tax dollars to buy votes for re-election, but when a Congressman feels he can line his own and family's friends pockets with tax dollars, he's a thief.

From an L-E editorial: "The fact is, parental rights that are law in the case of married parents are not necessarily law for unmarried ones. " -- Why is there an advocacy for 'fathers' who weren't married to the woman who gave birth to a child getting parental rights, when there needs to be a stronger advocacy for children who's biological 'fathers' are not financially supporting the children from a marriage? Just more liberal feel-good stuff to diminish the need for personal responsibilities.
