While I'm not opposed to hiring the best person for a job even if that person is from across the country, I do have to wonder about hiring a Director of Public Services who has no local knowledge of Columbus, and at age 61, she may retire before she completes the job's 'learning curve'.

NYC Mayor Bloomberg is becoming (or maybe always has been) a walking/talking oxymoron. He tells New Yorkers and visitors what they can't put in their bodies at NYC restaurants, but then tells the Occupy Wall Street vagabonds they can empty their bodies of whatever they been eating/drinking by urinating/defecating wherever they please.
