From the "only in California" department (I surely hope and pray): "A lesbian couple in California who say their 11-year-old son Tommy who wants to be a girl named Tammy are giving their child hormone blockers that delay the onset of puberty -- so that he can have more time that he can have more time to decide if he wants to change his gender." -- This is an adopted child, and 'why' this practice should cease.

Online headline: "Poll: 50 Percent Of Americans Support Marijuana Legalization" -- As Ronald Reagan was apt to start a response, "Well, there they go again....." Not one mention as to whether the poll had any connection with the overall voter population or was limited to DIM&DUMBERats or simply a poll conducted by ACORN.

L-E story: "Deciding the evidence is insufficient to show Columbus realtor Herta Bailey was still alive Sept. 29, 2008, when her tenant poured muriatic acid on her face and neck, the Georgia Supreme Court on Monday overturned Rickey Powell’s conviction for aggravated battery." -- Isn't this the same court that reversed Judge Pullen because the Judge asked prosecutors if they had "proven jurisdiction" in cases? If there is anything that needs a complete 'overturn' it's the GA Supreme Court...just on the basis of unnecessary waste of tax dollars used in retrials over imagined technicalities! Whatta they smokin'?

I still have to wonder about the story of the cause of the Water Works water tank 'collapse'. Since then, security cameras and lighting have been installed covering the access points.
---
L=E headline story: "Court reinstates death sentence in 1994 slayings * A lower court this year threw out the sentence, finding Morrow (muderer) was denied effective legal help during the sentencing phase of his trial." - Well, there they go again (where have we heard that phrase before?). I remember the first time I heard the phrase "denied effective legal help", and said we'd be hearing that a lot more often as anyone convicted could make that claim, and here it is again.
---
L-E headline/story: "High school coach severely beaten after game * (Warren County School Superintendent Carole) Carey tells the Augusta Chronicle that one of the football players smashed the coach in the head with a helmet after he intervened in a dispute between players" - Hmmm, wonder whether that player will be most aggressively recruited by Saban, Spurrier, or Richt?
---
L-E headline/story: "Hardaway-Northside game moved to Thursday * With the workday and allow those schedule adjustment day scheduled for Friday, we felt it best to play on Thursday night and allow those schools to have more of an extended weekend," Gary Gibson, Chief Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, said." -- This guy must be applying to become the replacement for Jay Carney as the White House spinmeister, but the most disturbing point of tyhis is that he is the CHIEF Administrative Assistant; how many Assistant Administrative Assistants are on the MCSD payroll?

Hey, Tony Rasmus, now that the St Louis Cards have won the National League Championship, where are you going next? Obviously not the World Series.

Just got back from taking my daughter to school, and while out, I drove behind a car that had "Multiple DONAR" lettered across his rear window. I sure hope he's not a "brain DONOR".

Election suggestion: Let's go back to electing the VP like it used to done. Let who ever comes in second in the presidential election be the VP. That way, the opposing party would preside over the Senate, and legislation would probably stay focused on solutions rather than earmarks and vote buying entitlement laws.

Online headline: "Mubarak Sons Have $340 Million In Swiss Bank Accounts, Says Official" -- Yeah, and I bet most of it was American foreign aid!

Did you hear about the research results concerning children/teens taking in more radiation from cell phones than adults because 'their skulls are thinner"? Yeah, right... no amount of government funded research will ever convince intelligent adults that teen skulls aren't thicker than ours!
