So 30 +/- Streetscape trees on Veterans have died. Well,there also have been two dead trees (still in their root balls) from the Streetscape project on Veterans in a parking area between 11th & 12th Streets (East Side) since the project was 'complete'. The 'watering' part of his contract has been a joke from the git-go. The 'watering' has been contracted to anopther well-known Columbus company and consists of a truck carrying water driving slowly up & down Veterans basically 'sprinkling' the trees and grass for about 5 seconds (versus a good soaking) a tree Now, the Streetcapes Tree & Watering Contract...that's a contract I'd like to see made public.

I'll bet a lot of the revenue problems Columbus Council has would be solved if all its employees were required to lived in Columbus and paid property taxes to Columbus rather Hamilton or Cusseta, GA or Alabama cities.

The "Free Phone" program by the government is neither "free" nor even necessary. Today's 'old phones' work without their SIM cards, and even if there are no minutes on them, to make 911 calls. Instead of the government's "Free Phone" program, why don't old phones just get turned in and redistributed by Homeless/Welfare programs?
