Yesterday, I had a rare, as well as first time, experience. A fervent, last minute invitation to a legal system annual ritual revealed another side of that system. I witnessed an amoral driven body expose itself to honesty and emotion usually absent from a court venue. I felt honored to be there in support of each member, past and present.

3,895.... this is just a number, but it's the total number of the much ballyhooed Chevy "Volt" Government Motors has poured its efforts into to reviving itself. Maybe a name change will help...perhaps "Solyndra" since it's THE hot name of government efficiency as a business partner, and it's suddenly available.

The Big City Club....Just another reason the Friday concert night promotion known as "Bar Crawl" needs to be tempered with reality. Perhaps something like "BAND Night" would be a tad more acceptable for children to see when they are with their parents on such Friday evenings.

Seems like the Charter Review Commission is adding more politics to the every day functioning of the City. Putting non-elected department heads on the chopping block every 4 years is tantamount to creating an hierarchy of sycophants to whomever is Mayor. What the Charter Review Commission should be doing is making the job of internal city auditor one of the securest jobs within the city.
