Lawrence O'Donnell accused Herman Cain of 'sitting on the sidelines' during the Civil Rights movement. What an idiot. Herman Cain obviously worked hard at attaining the dream the Civil Rights movement was about. It's the people still denying, still ignoring, still sitting on the sideline instead of getting on the dance floor who have missed the changes that have occurred in the past 60 years.

What's the difference between the City not wanting to release it's contract to the public with the lawyers, and Tony Adams not wanting the Nike contract being seen publicly?
Is it no less a crime for Council to not show its bosses (us) the contract, than it was for Tony Adams not to show his bosses (Council) the Nike contract?

Dang! Actually read on of Chitwood's columns and actually agreed with him all the way. Who says an old Chitwood can't learn new tricks. May even try to read him again sometime. On the other hand, I rarely watch SNF or MNF...too many women in the house.

Banks aren't the culprit regarding student loans for sociology diplomas.. in fact even colleges who charge 6 figures for a basic diploma in sociology aren't the culprits. Now, on the other hand, any student who would sign for loans of over $100,000.00 to get such a diploma are the victims only of themselves for thinking such a diploma has that much worth.

Trying to compare the super-railway to the interstate system is only something that liberals would consider being an apple-to-apple comparison. Other than getting to the Atlanta Airport a few minutes earlier (if the schedule fit your flight time requirements), once you get to Atlanta for other business, you are going to have to have local transportation, and that's not only going to be inconvenient, but costly as well compared to driving there on the I-State

L-E story: "Cairo - On her first day to school, 15-year-old Christian student Ferial Habib was stopped at the doorstep of her new high school with clear instructions: either put on a headscarf or no school this year." -- The sadder thing is that this could occur in this country. With school systems so adamant about letting Christian objects/thoughts be seen/heard in our schools, school systems go overboard to allowing other religions to practice on campuses.

You know, if the Occupy Wall Street movement actually had a message that everyday Americans sympathized with, that message alone would get public, thus media, attention. Instead, the protesters have to rely on being antagonistic towards the police, and breaking the laws of man and nature in order for cameras to show them on TV.

Now 'they' (using 'our' money)want to build a bridge from the UnderRiverWalk to the"rock island" in conjunction with the whitewater project. Excuse me, but with the damages constantly happening to the parallel running RiverWalk when ever we have floods, what chance of survival does a perpendicular walkway extending into the Chattahoochee have?

There's a zoning request to change the zoning at 6100 Green Island Drive from it's current empty lot status with no curb cut and a "Residential Office" zoning to a "Residential Multi-Family 2" zoning. Conditional approval has been given by the Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department. Have any of them looked at how adding a new high traffic project at the proximity of Green Island Drive and Cascade Road will effect the main (and basically only) exit to River Road for the majority of Green Island Hills residents?
