Watching footage on the NE snow storm has to make you wonder that since heavy snow is such an annual issue up there, then why haven't the power companies ever buried the power lines rather than constantly having to repair/rehang them every time a snow storm/freeze hits the area? It's probably a simple answer such as unions not wanting to give up the jobs that would not be necessary if the lines were buried.

it's almost comical that bicyclists are complaining that the Bike Trail crossings at Miller and Hilton roads are 'hazardous'. That, and being a nuisance to all car traffic, were the reasons the rail system was closed/abandoned in the fiorat place, and the reopening as a Bike Trail has brought both proiblems back into the light.
