Dingy Harry Reid, armed with nothing but wishful thinking, claims he knows
from an unnamed source, that Mitt Romney hasn't paid taxes for 10 years. Hmmm,
this is the same Harry Reid, Mr Squeaky Wheel himself, who has never released
his tax returns, and has been involved in heavy real estate scandals, and lead
the Senate to confirming exposed tax cheat Tim Geithner as Secretary of
Treasury . Now Romney has fired back for Reid to disclose his stated source. OK,
mainstream media, Romney has given you a real story to chew on.

Online headline/story: "IRS May Have Lost Billions To Identity Theft,
Treasury Says * In one example, investigators found a single address in Lansing,
Mich., that was used to file 2,137 separate tax returns. The IRS issued more
than $3.3 million in refunds to that address." -- Hmmm, Lansing, MI... musta
been a UAW or ACORN voter registration office.

Does anyone know anything about the "West Georgia Jets"? Is this another
private sports program like the Georgia Blazers that erupted into a
Parks&Rec scandal?

I hope Chick-fil-A will do something extraordinary with the windfall sales
gains it benefited from on the August 1st Show Your Support Day. Something
Super-Christian, like donating all its sales that day to charities....either
that or to conservative PACs to unseat liberal politicians around the country.
You know, something that will actually help our country.

I hope neither of King Arpege's children ask him to speak to their classes
on "Career Day". The only thing he could speak with on authority is that it is
easier to spend other people's money than it is to generate revenues on your
own.

L-E's "Thought for Today": "Many of us spend half of our time wishing for
things we could have if we didn't spend half of our time wishing." Alexander
Woollcott, American critic (1887-1943)" -- "Many of us"? Woollcott musta been a
liberal.
---
L-E headline: "Suspicious package briefly closes oart of O'Hare" -- Ooops,
my bad, thought Dan Cathy had sent Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel chicken finger
platter for August 1st.

Regardless of its comments, powers that be at Carmike are wanting to
inspect every purse that comes into the theaters for snacks/candy. A compromise
could be made... say for Carmike stop selling the $4.00 boxes of candy you can
get at Walmarts for .98 cents a box.

L-E's "
Quotable": "I hope our country
will never see the time when either riches or the want of them will be the
leading considerations in the choice of public officers. - Samuel Adams,
American Political leader &1722-1803)" -- Bet Samuel Adams gets written out
of our public school history books in the future!
---
In the letter section today, the L-E took time to make its presence on gun
control known by including an "Editor's Note" to another's writings. Glad to
know the L-E recognizes its ability to do so. Now, I hope, the L-E will add the
same type of "Editor's Note" to the writings of Karl Douglass and Judy F.
Brouilette. One works for Congressman Bishop, and the latter is the Treasurer of
the Muscogee DIM&DUMBERat Party.

DA Slater refers to the Carlton Gary case as one of " a real connector of
the dots". The 'dots' were connected close to 30 years ago; what we need is for
a hypodermic needle to be connected to Gary's vein.

As solidly as Bama drummed LSU, why would anyone vote LSU as better than
Bama to start the season?
