Online headline: "Disease Resurging in Some Areas" -- Ooops, my bad,
thought the DIM&DUMBERats were regaining poll momentum.

Paul Ryan has mentioned his admiration for "Rage Against the Machine" as a
favorite band of his. The guitarist for the band has blasted Ryan in return. Who
amongst would want an endorsement from a rock that advocates for "Occupy Wall
Street and Occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue"?

Online story: "SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Puerto Rico is holding a two-part
referendum on Sunday that could see the island amend its constitution for the
first time in nearly half a century. * The referendum would reduce the size of
the U.S. territory's government by almost 30 percent as a cost-cutting measure,
and would give judges the right to deny bail in certain murder cases. Puerto
Rico currently is the only place in the Western hemisphere where all suspects,
including those charged with rape and murder, are entitled to bail. * The
proposals would save the government money, reduce crime and protect witnesses
and the relatives of victims." -- Hallelujah! We will have an optional country
to go to if we don't prevail in November!

A Louisiana school has installed a 'palm scanner' in the lunch line 'to
speed things up' as to who pays regular or reduced prices. A lot of parents are
upset. I would be too, but for a different reason. Can you imagine all the germs
from every student being passed on to every other student using the scanner just
as they are sitting down to eat?

Online story: "OSLO (Reuters) - A floating robot has been deployed to track
great white sharks in the Pacific as part of efforts to understand the giant
predators. * The "wave glider", which from above looks like a yellow surfboard,
picks up signals from tagged fish up to 1,000 feet away in the ocean and then
sends their positions to researchers via a satellite transmitter." -- Typical
liberal approach to a problem... why not just putting in a stronger transmitter
when they are tagging the sharks so the satellites can pick up the sharks every
move!

WRBL3 story: "Officals tell our media partner, The Ledger Enquirer that the
plane had taken off from the airport when it immediately experienced engine
problems. The pilot of the small craft tried to return to the airport when the
aircraft crashed on its nose. * At this time, Wade's cause of the death is
undetermined. His body will be sent to the GBI lab on Monday for autopsy;
something Thrower says is routine when dealing with plane crashes." -- Is there
anyone in media that understands that dodging the obvious is not always the way
to report something? The plane had engine trouble, turned back, didn't make it
to the landing strip, nosedove into the ground. Wanna bet the autopsy shows he
died from crashing his plane into the ground? Bless George Wade.

Leonard "the pits" Pitts is on his high horse of indignation. The shooter
at the Sikh mosque is a 'white supremist', and the Southern Poverty Law Center
list of organizations that it considers 'right wing terrorists'. Funny, though,
that 'the pits' doesn't mention the left-wing terrorist that shot the security
guy at Family Research Center, nor did he label the "Beltway (or DC) Sniper" a
black supremist. Oh, BTW, the Family Research Center is on the list of right
wing terrorist organizations according to the Souther Poverty Law Center.
Imagine that.

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "George Washington was probably the first
American millionaire. He and his wealthy friends assembled an army to fight the
British because "they had the most to lose." Sounds familiar, doesn't it?" --
The sad thing is that he/she probably believes this; sadder still is that he/she
was probably made to think this way in our public schools. (Remember when our
school board ordered George Washington's 'watch fob' be painted over in student
textbooks? Even worse was when the D&D's determined to honor all presidents
instead of honoring George Washington. You have to understand that D&Ds
didn't want studenys growing up associating politicians with being honest)

In an article today, mention was made of the whitewater course having Class
4 and Class 5 rapids. Up until this, the UPtown director has insisted the rapids
whould top out at 3-3.5. I asked him specifically at a lunch meeting as he
addressed a crowd of active senior women. Class 4 and Class 5 rapids are not a
family outing... and there are no natural ones. There is nothing concerning
restoring the Chattahoochee to it natural state going on.

Since the L-E doesn't want to identify Karl Douglass as an agent of Sanford
Bishop, how about a switch? Publish Sanford Bishop's comments and let Karl
Douglass run in his spot for Congress. Bishop would be exposed for his
DIM&DUMBERat philosophy, and Douglass would be a better
representative.

Sorry this is later than normal, but between being up late and scouring the
L-E for the Columbus Council Agenda, time just move quickly. I saw the Phenix
City and Harris County Councils' agenda, but not Columbus'. Did I miss it, or
did the Mayor omit this week so I couldn't let y'all know what they are doing
with our money?
