Online story: "Time editor-at-large and CNN host Fareed Zakaria was suspended from both places for a month on Friday after admitting to lifting parts of a story from the New Yorker. * Time accepts Fareed's apology, but what he did violates our own standards for our columnists, which is that their work must not only be factual but original; their views must not only be their own but their words as well. As a result, we are suspending Fareed's column for a month, pending further review." -- Yeah, that'll set a new standard at TIME! Get caught... take a month's vacation while it blows over. Heck, the DIM&DUMBERats might just put him on the short list the next time they are considering VP's; ask Joe Biden.

Online headline: "Barack Obama, Michael Jordan Will Meet With Donors At New York Fundraiser" -- This dirty pool! Offering a chance to meet someone people actually would like to meet. 'Hanes' has just been struck off my 'buy list'.

I've seen 2 different subjectively judged gymnastic events where competitors tied. The winner was determined by which contestant had the fewest "deducts". This deems to favor the contestant that chose the easier routine and had fewer opportunities for deducts than the contestant who planned a more difficult routine to begin with. Seems to me, that if two people tie that the person who chose the more difficult routine should be the winner for doing riskier stunts.

Off the shores of Venice Beach, CA, a fishing group was confronted by a Great White shark larger than their 18' craft. In the report, the newslady commented that in 1994, California made it illegal to hunt/kill these sharks. Now, with 18 years of unmolested growth, sharks are getting bigger and bigger. Way to go, libs, just wish and hope enough of you will go surfing between now and election day to clean of the gene pool in the voting files.

Hell has arrived! You, even your kids can get a Square.com credit/debit card reader for your/themselves iPhone/Android smartphones. Havoc could be created everywhere an individual has one. Imagine giving your credit card to a wait staff at a restaurant and said wait staff submitting his/her own value of the tip they think he/she deserves. In a more scary way, imagine your own children having access to your credit card for a few moments as they head off for Spring Break.

3 of our soldiers were killed in South Afghanistan by terrorists dressed in Afghan soldier uniforms. The guesses are that they were al-Qaida or Taliban, but based on previous positions of the Afghanistan president Karzai, why wouldn't we believe that they were regular Afghani soldiers?

Took my wife, daughter and her beau to see the "Bourne Legacy" last night. With popcorn, drinks (and one senior ticket discount) spent nearly $60.00 for a let down. After an overly long, overly extended motorbike chase scene, the movie just ended. No sense of justice was felt. Save your money. Hope it's not an omen for a bad November election result.

Finally... yesterday I heard one Conservative pundit suggest Romney challenge King Arpege to a disclosure contest. He suggested Romney declare he would produce more tax returns as soon as King Arpege authorized his colleges to release all his admission, financial, and grade information. Well, somebody is listening to my much published solution; hope Romney does.
---
On another note, why doesn't Romney just release copies of all the checks he's written to the IRS and his state tax divisions over the past 10 years? The amounts are huge, and provide confirmation that he has indeed paid taxes Sen Harry Reid lies about.

From the 'what do we have here' department - L-E story on Sheriff's Office election recount: "(Pam) Brown and her attorney, Mark Shelnut, said Friday that they may take further action to clarify results." -- You know, why would any candidate for a law enforcement leadership job taint her reputation or position by having such a lawyer of questionable past escapades represent her?
---
Even the Chicago Trib has fallen out of love with Harry Reid. Don't you love it when liberals turn on each other? Makes you think, at least for a moment, that libs are returning to the old standards of morals. This, too, will pass before the November elections.
---
Were no homes sold in the area the past 2-3 weeks? The L-E lists only 'permits' issued for repair/construction this week?
