HuFFPOOPOO headline: "Bernie Sanders Shows How Reagan Helped Destroy The Middle Class" --
Bernie Sanders, Socialist Senator from Vermont, presented his opinion of the facts of the economy under Ronald Reagan. As expected, Socialist Sanders was negative of Reagan's opening up of capitalistic free enterprise. Some people benefited more than others says Sanders. Excuse me, Senator Sanders, but "some people" worked harder than others and created jobs for others than didn't work as hard or take the financial risks to be successful in their businesses.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Kim & Kanye Are Pretty Much Besties With President Obama" -- Good grief.. Obamageddon has time to meet with K(_*_)nye West, and thank him for his support, but won't meet with Benjamin Netanyahu unless he gets re-elected in March....
---
I heard that the fines the NFL imposes (and I "feel" it probably applies to other sports as well) are TAX DEDUCTIBLE as "business expenses".. Good grief.. then we all should get tax deductions for parking tickets we got double-parking for the few minutes it takes to deliver a package to a customer!
---
Random thought: Why is it that neither our Department of State nor White House will put "labels" on Islamist terrorists, but the personnel at IRS can put "labels" on patriots and patriotic groups?
---
Online story: " Welfare money or food stamps for marijuana? It's an urban legend that won't go away in Colorado, and state lawmakers this year are poised to pass a law clarifying that public benefit cards can't be used at dispensary ATMs. * A bill facing its first hearing next week in the state Senate would add marijuana businesses and strip clubs to the list of Colorado businesses where electronic benefits cards - called EBTs - can't be used to withdraw cash. Liquor stores, casinos and gun shops already have such limitations." -- Good grief.. passing another law with "more specifics" is not the answer to this problem.. The law Colorado, every state for that matter, needs to pass is one that requires ATMs in places that serve/sell alcoholic beverages, guns or marijuana, be confiscated at the point-of-use and the holder be denied future entitlements. The same consequence should be in effect at grocery stores when an EBT holder presents the card and alcoholic beverages have been rung up.

Online quote source: "“Success is not a destination, but the road that you're on. Being successful means that you're working hard and walking your walk every day. You can only live your dream by working hard towards it. That's living your dream.” - Marlon Wayans " -- In short, just do the reverse of anything Obamageddon, Al Sharlatan, Jesse Jackson, or Charlie Rangel says.
---
Online headline: "3 Colorado tax cheats skip sentencing to play golf" -- Ooops, by bad.. thought Obamageddon was playing golf with Geithner, Sharpton, and Rangel.
---
Online story: "The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said Friday that 1,000 of the more than 36,000 "criminal aliens" released by federal immigration authorities in 2013 have been convicted of new crimes. * The list of crimes included assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, failure to register as a sex offender, lewd acts with a child under 14 and spousal rape by force. * “The Obama administration claims that it is using ‘prosecutorial discretion’ to prioritize the removal of criminal aliens from this country" -- You know.. some liberals will point out that 1,000 out of 36,000 is a "small amount of recidivism.. BUT this is not about recidivism.. it's about previously convicted illegal aliens being convicted of another crime.. not just arrested or held, but CONVICTED again, and that is unacceptable.
---
Online story: "Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber on Friday deflected mounting ethics questions swirling around him and fiancee Cylvia Hayes over newly disclosed, six-figure consulting payments she received from a clean energy group -- while she was advising the governor on similar issues." -- Oh, is that what Democrats call "high maintenance" outlays.. consulting payments..

Online headline/story: "Owner of Arkansas Shooting Range Bans Muslims…And Five Months Later Her Business is Booming * In September, Arkansas gun range owner Jan Morgan declared her business to be a “Muslim-free zone.” At the time, there was controversy and a thought that she could be sued for violating anti-discrimination laws. * Another possible reason that would likely play a role in her legal defense, should she be sued, is, Morgan said: “I have a federal firearms license… The ATF informed us when we received the license that if we feel ANY reason for concern about selling someone a firearm, even sense that something is not right about an individual, or if we are concerned about that person’s mental state, even if they pass a background check, we do not have to sell that person a gun. * Two different ATF agents stressed that it is better to err on the side of caution." * In addition to Muslims, Morgan added that she does not allow Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members to use her business facilities." -- Heh heh heh.. Wow! A documented case of the DOJ being hoisted by its own "retard".
---
L-E story: " A group of public officials asked grassroots activists on Friday to get behind a plan that would help reduce overcrowding at the Muscogee County Jail." -- Hmmm.. you know, there's a simpler and cheaper way to reduce overcrowding in jails.. make any crime of violence punishable by death and carry out the sentence within 2 years.
---
L-E headline: " Man impersonating officer said badge found in trash" -- You know..don't badges have a number, and registered/dispensed to a specific officer?
---
Jonathan Gruber EXTRA-stupid L-E "soundoff": " A gun won’t tell me an intruder’s outside, but my dog will. A gun won’t dial 911, but my alarm will. A gun won’t guarantee it’ll never shoot me, but not having a gun will." -- Hey, why not post a "No Gun Zone" sign in your yard so robbers/burglars won't have to worry when they break in?
---
Random thought: How can the old L-E building can be renovated, but old school buildings have to be razed and replaced?
---
There was a "cute" picture in the L-E today with a kid skipping rocks from Rock Island in the Whitewater rafting course. Boy... isn't that a sight rafters would love not to be seen as they approach...
---
Is it my imagination or are we having a tsunami of "second time convictions" within 5 years of the first for DUI? There were 9 today.. wonder how many first timers there were who don't get their pictures posted in the L-E?
---
You know.. the MCSD Board/System is trying to ram $192,000,000.00 in taxes to fund what's basically a "slush fund" because not details of specific projects are being released. It's sort of like a campaign based on "you shouldn't worry yourself with details.. just trust us to figure it out as we go.. Just vote yes" . I don't know about everyone, but when politicians ask me to "just trust'em" a red flag goes up. Besides, who put this list/package together.. former Super Andrews, interim Super Phillips, or not-quite-up-to-speed Super Lewis?
---
Online quote source: " “Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.” - Jim Rohn" -- Hmmm.. bet this not on the walls of the Department of Education or the Board room of the MCSD.
---
You know.. there was an ad for an "eminent domain" proceeding in which the GA DOT is confiscating private property from an individual who owns said property on Talbotton Road. I assume it's for "the public good" to improve conditions there. Now,, why wasn't this done when to property near the 13th and 14th Street bridges at the RiverWalk. Instead, Mayor TomLYINGson and Council approved a purchase with our local tax dollars plus giving up other "green" plots in downtown.
---
L-E headline: "N.Y. board suggests $7.50 wage for tipped workers" -- Hmmm.. in that case, I will have no problem in not leaving a tip for minimum service.
---
You know..if the SPLOST project list was above board, and the MCSD Board was open with the taxpayers, there would be no need to try to slip it by the taxpayers or enlist outside help in getting taxpayers to support it. The MCSD's actions to date have brought more suspicions rather than enlightenment or unity.
---
Rumor or fact? Scuttlebutt says that despite the new money asked for in the SPLOST us for a new Spencer High School, there will be a merger/consolidation of Spencer and Kendrick. Time will tell. What I do understand is that the MCSD says a new Spencer will be built on property already owned by the school system. That being so, why won't the school system tell us where it is going to build a new high school. There can be no legitimate reason for not doing so.
---
Earlier this week, I sent in an Open Records request to the MCSD for a breakdown of all the individual projects that make of the total SPLOST request. Yesterday, I received a basic slide-show file of "you're not smart enough to understand" pictures of what other schools have in sports facilities compared to what ours have become because there is no ongoing maintenance program.
Today I have request the specifics of one item... the request for $34,000,000.00 worth of system wide technology & infrastructure upgrades.
Ms. Fuller -
I would like the following information:
1 - Specific text-form breakdown of projects to be done on item 2 (District-wide technology and infrastructure upgrades: $34,000,000) as presented in the 2015 SPLOST proposal.
Hal A. Kirven
706-888-0304
31904
Will let you know what I get.
I will also be requesting an actual proposed projects list for the other generalized items.
