Online headline: "'This is borderline treasonous': Liberal activists accuse Trump of flirting with treason for praising Putin" -- Good grief.. on his way out the door, Obama pretty much spit in Putin's eye, but Trump is the "bad guy" for smoothing over Obama's naany-nanny-poo-poo claims?

---
Well, Gretchen Carlson will reappear of TV in January... on NBC... I'm curious.. curious as to whether NBC will lose it's base or Gretchen will placate it to keep what ratings NBC does have?

---
4.... that's the "magic" number Chicago has until it hits 800 homicides for 2016..and it has today/tonight.. New Year's Eve, to get there

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Santa Monica synagogue smeared with feces and food during Hanukkah" -- Was John Kerry accountable for his whereabouts?

---
Sacrilegious..that's what it is pure and simple...there's no more Gator Bowl... now it's the TaxSlayer Bowl at Everbank ..

---
The SEC's overall performance wasn't the ugliest thing the nation saw during the bowl season..it was those U-G-L-Y Tennessee uniforms.

---
Hurry Jan 20th!

Friday, December 30, 2016

Online headline: "Kerry Says “Israel Can Either Be Jewish Or Democratic. It Cannot Be Both.” -- Hmmm..sounds like Jewish voters have been forewarned.

---
And now Kerry is defending his non-veto of the UN issue....excuse me..how does Kerry defend the indefensible?

---
Interesting...UGA replaced Richt with Smart, and Richt ends up with a better record at Miami than Smart has with UGA.

---
In spite of his irrelevance, Obama is trying to be intentionally disruptive. Somebody change the locks at the White House before he returns from Hawaii

---
From the "a lot more classy response" department - Online headline:"Putin says Russia will not expel American diplomats in response to US sanctions" -- Looks like Obama needs to hit the "reset button".

---
Online headline: "NYPD will now let officers wear turbans" -- Hmmm.. does this mean that the NYPD will allow "sharia law"?

---
Online headline: "Trump selects contentious pastor"  - Franklin Graham... Contentious?  Good grief.. and what one word described Obama's personal pastor, Jeremiah Wright?

---
L-E "HEADLIE": "Elton John rocks the Columbus Civic Center with "Bennie and the Jets" on March 16. -- Good grief.. Sir Elton DID NOT play "Bennie and the Jets!"  We wished he did, but... he probably was ordered not to do so as the Civic Center Walls might not have been able to survive.

---

L-E headline: "Columbus activists prepare for Justice Day at the Capitol" -- Good grief... it would be better to prepare here in Columbus by simply not breaking laws, and simply obeying Police orders when confronted.

Thursday, December 29, 2016

HuffPOOPOO headline: " : Trump's Team Is Struggling To Find Performers For Inauguration" -- And? Only libs would ind this demeaning...Trump's team is looking for entertainers that pretty much would already have been booked for work, while most liberal supporting entertainers had their schedules 'clear" in hope that Hellary would be picking them.

---
From the "hurry fast, January 20, 2017, so Trump can erase California" department - Online story: "Even though Joseph Schwab only had caffeine in his system at the time he was pulled over, he still faces a DUI charge. * The 36-year-old California man was driving home from work in August 2015 when an alcohol beverage control agent stopped him * The agent said Schwab was driving erratically, which made her think he was under the influence of drugs *  Experts say that though caffeine is technically a drug, it's not often associated with impaired driving -- as a matter of fact, it often helps with driving. *  "This is a case without a blood result, right, so it makes it a very difficult challenge to prove in court to not have the blood result," Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams  *  Prosecutors plan to move forward with the case, though, alleging that Schwab was under the influence of a drug they don't usually screen for." -- Who'd thunk it,, stopping at Starbucks is walking into a "baited trap"?  What's worse that police officers will be justified sitting around the parking lot of Krispy Creme testing out donuts all day.. Men drivers will not have a chance with women officers with PMS and a donut glaze overload! Dang.. it's good to be able to crack a non-PC profile joke again!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "NYC mayor's press official tweets after Trump Tower evacuation: 'We'll send you the bill' *  The guest hosts of MSBNC's show 'Morning Joe' recently called the tweets of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's press secretary "pathetic" and "embarrassing." -- Hmmm... wonder if de Bl(_*_)io's office has ever "billed" the Clintons or Charlie Rangel  for their Harlem offices?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poll: President Obama is ‘Most Admired Man’ in US" -- Good grief.. Obama wasn't even on my lists in either category.

---
Does anyone remember any outgoing US president who has ever announced he wants to undermine the new president? What is either  "manly " or "to be admired" about this?

---
What's with the Carver High baseball coach raising private money in a GO FUND ME account for field/program improvements? Is there no money set up through the SPLOST project list at Carver? Columbus High not only got $300 K for baseball improvements and $300 K for softball improvements, and get this, Columbus High School doesn't even have a softball field on its campus. This "fund raiser" needs to be looked into, and possibly audited to make sure we don't have another athletic scandal like the Park & Rec Nikwe Scandal.

---
One more time.. has all the money that was paid out in unauthorized City pay raises been returned by the recipients?

---
The U.S. Secretary of Labor questioned the legality of certain inquiries being made by Donald Trump's team on Tuesday, reports The Hill. * According to CBS News, Secretary Perez flat out stated, "Those questions have no place in a transition. That is illegal." * He also reportedly added, "Will dedicated career people be targeted because they were doing the right work?" -- Good grief-- in who's eyes are they "doing the right work"? Maybe it's time they dedicate their careers going o=in the right direction.

---
Joke of the day - John Kerry said "they" did not take the UN Israeli non-vote lightly..what he didn't say was that it was made erroneously.

---
It's interesting that the L-E "finds" the defeat of Linda Pierce and John Darr as it's top story of 2016 involving
"Education and Government".. Two of out most vital and complicated departments are now under unproven leadership.. why is that good?

---
In another "Education and Government" category classification story that "didn't" make it to the L-E's "Top 10" - Well, looks like the MCSD spun it's wheels too fast in approving the overpayment to buy  the Cherokee Avenue house of Garrett Walker earlier this year to build the urgently needed parking lot at Columbus High. Rode by yesterday, and the house is still standing, and seemingly no work has progresses on developing a lower parking lot there. You know.. it's one thing to shell out close to $100K more than a property is assessed when action MUST be taken, but why do so when there obviously was no urgency. Let's face it, the students and taxpayers have been fleeced.

---
Extra-Extra-- News Flash! This just in at 7:37 EST.. I am a great-uncle,, again..welcome Libba Mobley to our world.. Praise God!

---
Say what you will. but Cam Newton scored his biggest TD of the season.. He burst into the room of 10-year old Austin Deckard's Egleston Hospital Room yesterday morning.. and the crowd went wild.. Haven't watched a NFL game this year but may have to exclude Panther games.

---
L-E headline: "PRESIDENTIAL TRANSITION * Who paid for all those job applicants to visit Trump? * BY VERA BERGENGRUEN " -- Good grief.. Trump's win has awoken the sleeping mainscream media dogs... Does anyone remember this question being asked in either of Obama's post-election periods?

---

You know.. I wish the NCAA would just go back to a 5 or 6 game January 1st Bowl day, and just give participation trophies to the rest of the teams..

From the "best New Year's Resolutions" department - Online headline: "Conservative pundit Charles Krauthammer: Trump should 'put his name on' UN headquarters and 'turn it into condos'" -- I second that motion!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Rosie O'Donnell apologizes to Melania Trump" -- Hmmm... it's about time... and it's about time she apologized to America, too...

---
From the "if you ever wondered why high school diplomas have lost their reverence in the workplace" department -- Running what should have been a superfluous errand Tuesday AM, I ran across this newspaper front page article.. it involved distribution of a proclamation for a scholarship program.. "don't like" when you catch it, too.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the biggest detriments to most students being able to get a diploma worthy education is too much concern about funding.. Our school district  is too willing to give into "rowdy. disruptive students" by "allowing" them to remain in schools. on campuses. of r he sake of keeping the "body count" as high as possible. Emphasis should be on providing the students truly interested in their education an atmosphere of decorum. The teachers would benefit as well.

---
Anybody seem "Boom Boom"? I have seen billboard adds for the fireworks "Bang Bang" girl but not "Boom Boom"..Hmmm ..maybe "Boom Boom" got the "Boot Boot".

---
Santa brought our 4 year old granddaughter a "F150 Truck" for Christmas.. Yesterday,  I was taken aback by a Chevy Spark that passed me...I saw it coming into my rearview mirror but lost it when it pulled alongside me and saw it again as it pulled by. Amazing..it's smaller than the F150 my granddaughter has.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Trump's Christmas tweet leaves many underwhelmed and a bit confused" -- "many underwhelmed"? Well, only the libs as real America got the message!

---
Through Christmas, there have been 785 homicides in Chicago.. 705 have been shootings.. Looks like 800 is a foregone conclusion with New Year's Eve on still on the horizon. One of the most depressing figures in the Chicago statistics review is that 24 kids under 12 have been shot.. 12 of those killed. What is it with Democrats that don't correct this atrocity? Oh..BTW.. and Chicago banned handguns back in 1982.

---
From the "are you sure you were there" department" - L-E story: "10. ELTON JOHN PLAYS CIVIC CENTER * On March 16, legendary performer Elton John made his first Columbus appearance, selling out the Civic Center. * For five years, Civic Center Director Ross Horner had worked to land the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer for a Columbus date. It happened in November 2015 when the show was announced and essentially sold out the day tickets went on sale. * For his part, John brought a song list that included many of his classic hits. The crowd turned a Wednesday night performance into a weekend night party as he sang “Tiny Dancer,” “Candle in the Wind,” “Bennie & the Jets,” and “Crocodile Rock.” - by Chuck Williams:" -- My bride and I went and had a great time.. a great evening.. but "for sure" Elton John did not play "Bennie and the Jets".. I'm not sue the walls of the Civic Center would have survived if he had..this was one of the top tunes I wanted to hear.. be a part of, but with Elton, the concert would have had to be 6-8 hours long to just touch on songs everyone wanted to hear. Where were you, Chuck?

---
L-E headline: "What will 2017 hold for downtown Columbus?" -- Yes what is in store? One hing for sure is that it should NOT be based on expansion of CSU for economic reasons.. Face it, college students do not have much disposable income.. that's part of being a college student... and the main beneficiary of college students is CSU.. all the dorm and food and tuition income go into a non-taxed organization, and expansion of their properties not only removes property taxes for the City, but add additional pressure on our streets, the CPD, and CFD.
---
As of today.. Obama is insignificant... in America today, and it's future.. Therefore, we will celebrate the coming of Trump rather than even noticing Obama.. While there will be petty irritants spewing from him in the next three weeks, nothing he does can't be undone. America's suffering is about to end.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

---
You know.. that joke about the gnat walking up an elephant's leg with lust on his mind is a great image to remember Obama's last camel's harumph...

---

Please join me in an unspoken prayer for my family.. God is great!

Tuesday, December 27, 2016

From the "how do you spell another word that means "arrogant ass" in 5 letters" department - Online story: "President Barack Obama believes he would have won the 2016 presidential election had he been able to run, insisting the message of "hope and change" he campaigned on in 2008 still holds true. * "I am confident in this vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it," Obama told David Axelrod, his former senior adviser and current CNN Senior Political Commentator, on CNN's "The Axe Files" podcast aired on Monday." -- Good grief.. here's the definitive answer to my question, "O-b-a-m-a". The man ran/campaigned for 8 years , Hellary ran on his agenda, he campaigned for her directly, and still he didn't see the groundswell  rising against him as well as Hellary.. No, Obama. you would not have won,, because you would have done no better in Michigan or Pennsylvania, and may have lost New York as well.

---
You know.. WE have Obama to personally THANK for Donald Trump even getting into the ace.. Trump didn't NEED to be president, but he did NEED to respond to the vengeful Obama attack at the 2011 Washington Correspondents Diner where Obama spent 5 minutes in a verbal assault of Trump's abilities and sensibilities. It's one thing to take an issue to the "bully pulpit", but it's another  to take pot shots at a man who doesn't get the opportunity to answer. Obama is the reason Trump... and America won.

From the "this time you're the bug, not the windshield" department - Online story: " A Drexel University professor, whose tweet that he wanted a "white genocide" for Christmas sparked a fire storm of criticism from the school and social media users, said on Monday his comment was satirical. *  George Ciccariello-Maher, a white assistant professor of history and politics at the Philadelphia university, posted "All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide" on Twitter on Christmas Eve, according to media reports.
* He followed up on Sunday by tweeting, "To clarify: when the whites were massacred during the Haitian revolution, that was a good thing indeed." * Condemnation lit up Twitter after the comments from Ciccariello-Maher, an expert on Latin American social movements,  *  Ciccariello-Maher said in an email on Monday that the tweets were only aimed at poking fun at white supremacists and that he and Drexel had become targets of a smear campaign. * Ciccariello-Maher said in an email on Monday that the tweets were only aimed at poking fun at white supremacists and that he and Drexel had become targets of a smear campaign." -- "smear campaign"? Good grief.. first, any white "professor" who's an "expert on Latin America social movements" is an avowed socialist to begin with so I'm going  to actually use his name in hopes of another college not hiring him.. When will theses academic idiots realize that the world has changed  since November 8th, and America just shifted gears and he's the bug who's just met a fast moving windshield?

---
From the "talk about being asleep at the switch" department - L-E death notice: "Mark R. Glisson".. somebody in the Obit section will be called on the carpet, because if Dusty Nix knew this, it'd would have been today's frontpage headline.

---
January 1st each year use to be the most exciting day for football fans across America..BOWL DAY.. top teams paired off in the Sugar, Cotton, Orange, Gator and Rose Bowl games.. It may have happened before, and I didn't think any thing about it at the time, but I just looked at the NCAA bowl schedule, and January 1, 2017 hasn't one college bowl game being played.

---

Too boot, the finals NCAA championship game will be played Monday night, January 9, 2017.. there's just something wrong with the program.

Monday, December 26, 2016

From the "new Christmas theme song adopted by a city" department - Online headline/story: "
At least 27 people were shot in a 48-hour period over Christmas weekend, the New York Times reported on Sunday, citing information from the Chicago police department, seven of them fatally. * At least 27 people were shot in Chicago over Christmas weekend" -- It's a toss up between new titles such, "Jingle Bullets",  "Sley Bells ring, is Obama Listening", "Clashing through "the snow" in a 300 horse powered open Sley", and "The LAST Noel".

---
Online headline: "Gunfire at North Carolina Christmas party wounds seven people" -- And some tunes never change.. "And the BEAT goes on"..

---
Online story: "A fake news story prompted Pakistan to threaten another nation with nuclear weapons on Friday, reports the New York Times. *  As it turns out the tweet followed a fake piece by awdnews.com. * The story had numerous errors including the wrong name for the current Israeli defense minister" -- Well.. ironically, this has a good side to it.. the NYT actually CHECKED OUT the facts before running with the story.. even better is "On Saturday, Israel clarified via a tweet that the story was "entirely false."

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Did the RNC just compare Trump to Jesus in its official Christmas statement?" -- Good grief..The Republican Party statement was to celebrate Jesus's birth.. Of course HUffPOOPOO is probably more upset that the Republicans' never have adopted mainscream media's afirmations that Obama is the Messiah.

---
From the "why" department: "Easy Holiday Cookies That Are Actually Healthy" -- Good grief.. I'll cut back on questionable ingredients in my food up-to-a_point, but not on desserts.. especially cookies...

---
There's a survey of the "top" 56 US cities with the highest poverty rates.. Guess which ones made the "top: 5.. Chicago, NY, LA, NYC, Miami? If you guessed any of these, you'd be wrong.. in fact NONE od =f these made the "top" 56. Most are smaller towns.. and a lot are college towns (this alone explains why non-employed numbers and low home ownership are high) but what is very noticeable are a group of three cities.. Columbus-Macon-Albany.. all three are in GA District 2 and represented by Congressman Sanford Bishop There numbers (in order) are 36-19-16..Bishop has been elected and re-elected since 1993.. Needless to say, his District overwhelmingly supported Hellary as well. Like all Democrats, Bishop is severely out of step with GA's needs.

http://247wallst.com/special-report/2016/09/22/cities-with-the-highest-poverty-rates/2/

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Obama spent Christmas Eve doing a live-action "escape room" game with his daughters *  "They broke out with 12 seconds left."" -- You'd think Obama would be better at this since he's particpated in so many "escapes"involving GITMO terrorists, but it looks more like how he'll escape the White House, too, "by the skin on his teeth".

---
From the "from the irony of it all" department -- Online story: "Police say a New York City man out on bail on an attempted murder charge opened fire at a nightclub in suburban Westchester County early Sunday, killing two people — including the club's co-owner — and injuring four other people *  "It's a dark day in our city," (Mount Vernon) Mayor Richard Thomas told the paper. "Today is a day we're supposed to spend with our family, not extend condolences. No person and no family should ever spend Christmas like this." * Investigators say the suspect may have been ejected from the club shortly before the shooting, which took place at around 4:30 a.m. Christmas Day. The Journal News reported that bars and nightclubs in Westchester County are required to close no later than 4 a.m. * there were around 200 people in the club at the time of the shooting. " -- Good grief.. "required to close no later than at 4:00 a.m."?  Well Mayor... obviously the town of Mount Vernon elected you and you did nothing to curtail drinking until 4:00 a.m. (and later). Sorta puts this on you back.. you know, why are clubs allowed to serve alcohol AFTER midnight anyway.. we all heard from our parents and grandparents that "nothing good ever happens AFTER midnight.. Maybe the 4:00 a.m. closing is there to allow patrons to get home, pass out, and wake up later to call in that they are too sick to come into work.. Oh.. Happy Holidays, Mt Vernon... obviously your celebrations were not for the birth of Jesus.

---
L-E headline: "Sheriff-elect Tompkins ready to assemble staff, drop lawsuit against city" -- You know, Sheriff Darr should have been cited for being such a financial wizard.. One local judge said it costs $50,000.00 per annun per prisoner to incarcerate them.. With Darr being responsible for nearly a 1,000 per day, that would mean that the judge would would be OK with a $50-MILLION dollar budget. Dar has kept it in the $4-MILLION range while the "all-knowing, all prophecizing Mayor Tom-LYING-son, Darr should be able to handle it on less than $3-Million. Of, and what's a million dollars to Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. just 4 more Queen TT Lounges on the RiverWalk. Now we must pray that Tompkins CAN DELIVER lawsuit avoiding service on Mayor Tom-LYING-son's budget..let's just make sure Tom-LYING-son doesn't just hand over the budget that Dar wanted and should have had no problem getting

---
ABC-online headline/story: ":More States Consider Working Around the Electoral College *  "Every vote in this country should have equal weight. The Electoral College is a relic of a bygone era, and we need to change this system," said Connecticut state Sen. Mae Flexer, who filed a bill with several fellow Democrats requiring Connecticut to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compac  * U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, a California Democrat, said she will introduce legislation in January to do away with the Electoral College through a constitutional amendment, but it's a longshot. An amendment would have to pass Congress and then be ratified by three-fourths of the states within seven years" -- So uber-libs from uber-lib states aren't happy that they are out-of-step with America's needs.. Hmm.. well, in my opinion, let's base the vote count of the numbers of individual counties to be the determining factor.. That alone would pretty much remove liberals from winning the Oval Office..

---
I heard a Fox contributor sum up the precise difference between liberalism and reality.. liberals want to be praised for good intentions regardless of the actual results.

---
Jill Stein...now wants the DOJ to examine our voting system for integrity, we taxpayers would be better off if Stein..Warren for that matter, too, were examined for sanity.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "We Democrats are not jumping on the Trump train. We will stand on the side of the tracks and watch it fall apart." -- Good grief.. as Forrest Gump would say, "Stupid is as stupid does".. If Dems KNOW the Trump Train will "fall apart", why would they want to be standing next to the tracks? I do hope they watch, and see how success looks.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Poor GOP, always believing they can simply use war and killing to solve all problems. They never think about people fighting back. Ready for refugee status?" -- Poor GOP"?  How about STUPID Democrats! Who intentionally let's the enemy inside their gates to wage war on them.. oh.. like the Trojan Horse 2.

---
L-E op-ed commentary headline: "Bipartisan probe needed * BALTIMORE SUN" -- "Baltimore Sun"? That stopped me immediately from reading any further.. if there is a "probe" needed (and there is a need), the Baltimore Sun needs a Prostrate Exam with Shaq O'Neal during the honors.. and start with why no 'partisan probe" was done to the Democrat Mayor when she pulled the police from arresting looters/shooters in the Baltimore riots.

L-E story: "Peachtree Mall on Manchester Expressway had been without a fourth anchor for years following the closure of the Parisian department store in a buyout between the chain and Charlotte, N.C.-based Belk. That finally was solved by the purchase of the front-and-center space at the mall by General Growth Properties, the mall’s owner, late in 2015, which set up negotiations between that company and Texas-based At Home." -- Hmm.. and as Paul Harvey might add.. where's "the rest of the story"? As I recall, At Home announced a pull back based on learning about the shooting/killing at Peachtree Mall. and as I hear, the city jumped in and made some boig tax incentives for At Home to continue

Saturday, December 24, 2016

The United Nations Security Council voted Friday to condemn Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank as the United States abstained and allowed the resolution to pass.  -- once again , why.does the Jewish community support the Democrat policy?

---
Online story: "The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday officially shut down the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System, a leftover program put in place in 2002 following the 9/11 terror attacks a year earlier. The controversial program required males aged 16 and older who enter the U.S. from specified countries to be fingerprinted, photographed, and interviewed about their plans. The program is also extended to people already living legally in the U.S. if they came from countries on the list." -- Well since there are plenty of vacancies, I think Obama and his entourage should finish their terms in office at GITMO.

---
It's going to be an interesting January in Washington..Democrats are planning to tee off on Trump appointees yet they've already hung Israel out to dry

---
From the "gimmee a break" department.. heard a story about a Rockette who was drawn to tears learning her troupe would perform at Trump's Inauguration festivities..Good grief..if she feels that upset, she needs to resign and seek some other gig.

---
What is it with mainscream media..it gets so bent out of shape whenever Trump tweets anything..Right now mainscream media's in a tizzy about Trump mentioning he wants our nuclear arsenal upgraded..good grief..it's not near as important whether we do it or not, but it is important our allies and enemies know he's thinking about it.

---
'You know..it's not about whether people considered to be infidels by Muslims stand up against such aggression, it's Muslims who want their religion to assimulate into mainstream society that will determine whether there is ever peace on Earth

---
Mainscream media is impatient with Trump about press conferences, even though mainscream media didn't seem too mind the lack of Hellary or Obama press conferences. In reality, mainscream media just doesn't seem to want to give Trump any slack.

---
Mainscream media is impatient with Trump about press conferences, even though mainscream media didn't seem too mind the lack of Hellary or Obama press conferences. In reality, mainscream media just doesn't seem to want to give Trump any slack.

---
Bernie...bless his heart..still calls Trump the most unpopular candidate to win the White House.. let's parse that..Trump clobbered Hellary 30.25 states to 19.75, 3084 counties to 60 for Hellary, and the most counties Obama EVER won was 829. Sounds to me that. Bernie, bless, his heart..don't know shit

---
You know...when you see a Muslim woman wearing a hijab while carrying a "We WILL Not Submit" sign or wearing a burqa at an American protest leaves me scratching my head a tad.

Friday, December 23, 2016

You know hypocrisy rears its head in unusual ways..North Carolina's HB2, the bill that raised the furor of which bathrooms transgender and LGBQ's could or couldn't use, was put up for repeal  as a wrongfully concessional act following the Republican Governor's November failure to be re-elected. and ALL 16 Democrat Senators who voted, voted NO.. and the repeal failed. Go figure...

---
Online story: "The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday officially shut down the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System, a leftover program put in place in 2002 following the 9/11 terror attacks a year earlier. The controversial program required males aged 16 and older who enter the U.S. from specified countries to be fingerprinted, photographed, and interviewed about their plans. The program is also extended to people already living legally in the U.S. if they came from countries on the list." -- Well since there are plenty of vacancies, I think Obama and his entourage should finish their own terms in office at GITMO.

---
Obama has the audacity to think Fox News and Rush Limbaugh "created" his negative imagery..He's still delusional..the only false imagery created was mainscream media depicting Obama as the false messiah.

---

Do to Obama's delusional image comments, I guess we need to ask him if he's creeped out by snowmen because they are white?

---
As prideful as Obama was about his ability to initiate change using his pen & phone (versus Congress), doesn't it seem.poetic that Obama doesn't think Trump should have a pen of his own?

---
From the "it's not one world" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "This airline sacrificed a goat on the tarmac before its flight took off * Pakistan International Airlines may have resumed flying operations for its ATR planes, but mere clearance wasn't apparently sufficient for the company. To ward off 'evil eye', they have reportedly sacrificed a black goat on the tarmac before the plane took off." -- Wonder if the online meal was a gyro?

---
'From the "why aren't these parents charged with child abuse" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Parents accept child's transgender identity by age 3" -- Good grief.. I don't remember ANYTHING about age three except what I see in pictures , but least of all I had no clue that my genitalia had any other purpose by to pee-pee with.

---
Online headline: "Joe Biden: When I saw a Trump rally in October, I said, 'Son of a gun — we may lose this election'\" -- Hey, Joe.. in your terms..  no BFD..... we saw it last Spring when the RINOs started bailing out!

---
What's going on.. I remember a flyer from our Homeowners' Association saying garbage schedules would not be changed this week or the week after Christmas.. now I read in the L-E that ghere is no Monday garbage service...

---

L-E story: "A federal appeals court on Thursday reinstated a judge’s 2013 ruling that a central Missouri technical college’s mandatory drug testing policy is unconstitutional when applied to all students." -- Wait a minute.. how can it be unconstitutional if it applies to ALL students? Who is being discriminated against?

Thursday, December 22, 2016

From the "this is the liberal's broken record, one-facet theme for the next 4..8... 12...16 years" department - Online headline/story: "Bill O'Reilly's 'white establishment' comments ignite firestorm over his racism * Throughout his rant, O'Reilly discounted the notion that "so-called white privilege" even exists, and said the left's focus on race and diversity is why "white men have largely abandoned the Democrats." *  "The left sees white privilege in America as an oppressive force that must be done away with, therefore white working class voters must be marginalized and what better way to do that than center the voting power in the cities," O'Reilly said." -- "facts" to liberals are what they want things to be, not actually reality..  Democrats have concentrated so much on buying votes/voter loyalty with social programs centered in heavily occupied pockets that they cannot... no, will not look at a map and see how little of America they actually appeal to.. In this past election, there were 3,144 counties in the US.. of those, Trump won the majority/plurality in 3,084! Hellary won but 60 counties (less than 2%) in the entire 50 states! The Electoral College was the equalizer our Founding Father visioned it to be.

---
Let's really deflate the liberals egos about "facts".. In 2012, Obama won 689 counties (22%).. an all-time low percentage of U.S. counties for a successful presidential candidate. In 2008, Obama won but 873 counties  (28%). Hellary won but 60 counties .. that's less than 9% of the counties won by Obama in 2012 which was the lowest percentage of counties won by a winning president in the history US  elections.

Online headline: "After meeting with President-elect Trump, Boeing CEO says Air Force One will cost less than $4B" -- Good grief.. Trump hasn't even taken office, and he's already "trumped" Obama's executive skills. Obama prided himself as willing to sit across the table from our nation's enemies without an agenda or protocol, but wouldn't do the same for Republican Congressional leaders, and now we see, Obama wouldn't sit down with business leaders and discuss deals that spent tax dollars.

---
Online headline: "Incredible footage captures first snowfall in the Sahara Desert in 37 years" -- Hmmm 37 years ago? That was just before Reagan took over from the then worst president of our time, and now it's snowing in the desert just before Trump takes over from the now worst president in history.. This proves two adages at once.. "history repeats itself", and things do happen "when hell freezes over".

---
You know, Obama really, really did want Hellary to win... it was the only opportunity he saw that someone else would "win" the dubious distinction of being the "worst president" in US history.

---
I just read about NJ Governor Christie's bill about changing legal ads from being mandated to be printed in newspapers being defeated in NJ but think it's a theme who's time has come.. publishing legal ads online versus newspapers.. why wouldn't the people. the courts, and government be better served and at less cost, by at least making electronic publishing an option to newspapers monopoly? I also remember In 1990, when I ran for mayor as an independent write-in candidate, I had to run a newspaper ad stating my intention. I was charged double of any ad costs for a personal ad.. I questioned this by saying that since I'm not a candidate until AFTER I publish this, so why am I having to pay the "legal/political rate"? Of course,, no good answer, and, of course, no adjustment to the ad costs.

---
In all the huffing and puffing that the Clintons are making about Comey, how come they don't remember deleting e-mails after they were subpoenaed , or destroying hard drives and cell phones with hammers?

---
Looks like the Berlin truck jihadist was as well known to German officials as were the Boston Bomber Brothers  to our security officials.. bring back profiling so our security can be restored!

---
Online story: "Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Donald Trump’s divisive rhetoric is only serving to turn the international Muslim community against the U.S." -- Good grief.. as if Muslim countries were :for" us when OPEC ruled the poil supply, or in 1993 or 2001 when Muslims attacked the Trade Center? Why did Arizona send McCain back?

---
On this date in 2010, President Barack Obama signed a law allowing gays for the first time in history to serve openly in America’s military, repealing the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.. Today, he's asking historians "don't ask, don't tell" about his legacy.

---
L-E story: "A Mississippi man arrested in the burning of an African-American church that was spray-painted with the words “Vote Trump” is a member of the congregation, the church’s bishop said. * Andrew McC*****, 45, of Leland, Mississippi, was charged Wednesday with first-degree arson of a place of worship, said Warren Strain, spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.  * McC****** is African-American." -- By the way, Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church was burned and vandalized Nov. 1, a week before the presidential election.. needless to say, Washington County, MS went 2-to-1 for Hellary.. but did you think otherwise?

---
There's a new book out from Historic Columbus titled "This Place Matters".. from a history of Columbus standpoint, I give it a "C-". but I'm using the grading scale of the MCSD which guarantees a diploma to all who don't drop out.

---
L-E headline/story: "Fort Benning soldier launches program to help Boys & Girls Clubs *  A soldier who benefited from the Boys Club & Girls Clubs of America when he was a youth now aims to give back to the organization. He is launching a program to help high school juniors and seniors learn life skills and prepare them for college and careers. * “It’s going to give them the edge they need to be competitive,” *  “The school system doesn’t have the time or funding to teach them these lessons. This is going to fill that gap.” -- "The school system doesn’t have the time or funding to teach them these lessons"? Whatta a ad state the school system has become...the skills the soldier is talking about don't require teaching, they are role model skills. Blame political correctness for their absence.

---
L-E story: "It’s no secret that state and local law enforcement agencies have grown more militarized in the past decade, with armored personnel carriers, drones and robots. * But one item in their arsenal has been kept largely out of public view, to the dismay of civil liberties advocates who say its use is virtually unregulated — and largely untracked. * The device is a suitcase-size surveillance tool commonly called a StingRay that mimics a cellphone tower, allowing authorities to track individual cellphones in real time. *  Until recently, the FBI avoided disclosing its own use of the surveillance apparatus" -- Oh! The FBI uses them, too.. Hmmm.. I guess that means the FBI DOES have Hellary recorded, despite Comey's statement that they did not record her interviews.

---

L-E story: "On Jan. 2, Oklahoma and Auburn will play in the Sugar Bowl at the Superdome in New Orleans. Bowl organizers say that ticket sales have been much slower-paced than anticipated. Neither school has sold out its 15,000-ticket allotment." -- Guess fans of both teams would rather travel to  NC where bathrooms protocol is birth certificate gender based, versus not knowing if you're gonna be a shooting target on the streets of New Orleans.

Speaking of "angry white men", do you think Bernie, Slick Willie and Dingy Harry voted for Trump?

---
Hmmm.. just heard a Trump spokesman who said he hoped whining Democrats would advance quickly through their 12-step program to get over their election angst by Christmas, ...but is Christmas actually something these people celebrate/acknowledge ?

---
From the "it's obvious why our Congresspersons can't jumpstart the economy" -- Online story: "House Republicans have said that they plan on passing tax reform and other budget related policies (like repealing Obamacare) using a tool called "reconciliation."  *  " -- "grow the deficit"? Good grief..political correctness has found a way to soft sell "digging a deeper hole"! Up until now, "grow" use to be the way to describe success.. now it's about as bad as Obama describing wasteful tax spendings as "investments".

---
From the "how stupid are they" department - Online headline/story: "Berlin attack: German police reportedly believe they arrested wrong man * In a dramatic twist, police later said the suspect had denied the offence and might not be the right man." -- Good grief.. when a purported "suicide killer" completes an attack and bails out from dying . then of course he's going to deny being the perpetrator when caught!

---
From the "there goes another liberal myth up in smoke, too" department - Online story: " A massive, multicolored explosion decimated a fireworks market outside the Mexican capital on Tuesday, leaving it a charred wasteland and killing at least 29 people with dozens more injured. * Some 13 children suffered burns to over 90 percent of their bodies and were being sent to the U.S. city of Galveston in Texas for treatment, said Eruviel Avila, the governor of the State of Mexico where Tultepec is located. He put the death toll at 29." -- First, let's pray for all the families and especially all the injured children, but.. one question and one revelation should be said.. Question: How quick will Mexico pay the bill? and the Revelation is that the liberals assertion that healthcare is quicker, more accessible, and more advanced in socialist countries than in the US. 13 children who were injured in the shadows of the capital of Mexico were transported hundreds of miles to get proper treatment in another country... OURS! Again.. pray for those children!

---
Online headline/story: "Mitch McConnell was shocked by Donald Trump's election win  *  he didn't expect Donald Trump's victory, nor did he anticipate hanging on to the majority in the Senate." -- Hmmm.. this alone should be reason enough for a new Republican Party Senate movement to elect a proper Majority Leader.

---
You know, Trump should only get retro entertainers from the 60s and 70s to be part of the entertainment at his inauguration festivities.. it would complete his promise to make America great again.

---
Obama just doesn't know when to leave well enough alone..  he just had to pen one last Executive Order that will go up in smoke soon enough. He thinks he's creating his "Legacy", but legacies are created by unifying , not punishing the future of a country.. Obama's "legacy" lives by the pen, and will die by the pen.

---
Mainscream media is pathetic.. it seems mainscream media wants Trump to fail as much as mainscream media wanted Obama to succeed.. I'm betting on Trump to win...

---
When news channels take time to promote charitable organizations ..especially ones appealing to wounded veterans' needs, I wish the networks would do due diligence on those charity org salaries and expenses but it seems that is not often a concern. Caveat Emptor ! Check with "Charity Navigator" before sending your checks. It's amazing how much of donated dollars go for salaries and benefits and fund raising expenses versus what actually gets to vets and their families.

---
Our the poor condition of our Columbus streets are testament to the fact that even though Red McDaniel's Council seat has been filled, the replacement has not come close to filling Red's shoes.

---
Looking closer at the City Report of the 1999 SPLOST Projects, it's almost a crime that there's still money rotting away in devalued accounts.. so much more could have been done for the dolar if it were spent when it was collected...

---
Random local question: Has anyone heard anything about the success/failure of the Movie Party that was held IN the Aquatic Center Pool? There was so much that could have been a disaster, so you'd think the City would be celebrating  if there was ANY positive aspects. At least find out how many attended and how much it cost the taxpayers to babysit.

---
A Fox anchor asked an Obama State Department representative if the world is safer than it was 8 years ago..After 5 minutes if double-speak and fast talk talking points, we still didn"t get a straight answer.

---
The judge that ordered the release of the pre-election search warrant for Hellary's e-mails should be promoted! What he's done is guarantee that Such evidence won't 'mysteriously' disappear in Obama's last 30 days in office..Wow, that felt good..to say Obama's last 30 days! 29 by time you read this.

---
Rahm Emmanuel established a taxpayer funded $1,000,000.00 fund to pay for legal aid for illegals facing deportation. Los Angeles just started one for $10,000,000.00..also taxpayer funded. I hope one of Trump's first Executive Orders is to shut off ALL federal funds to at least the cities (if not the states) that do such things.

---
McClatchy headline: "Ga. Democrats float anti-gerrymander bill" -- Good grief.. I agree.. and the results would probably be that all 14 Districts would get Republican representatives..

---
L-E headline : "Rep. Bishop presents Liberty Theatre with $7,500 check" -- Why is it everytime we see Bishop handing over some donation check, it seems as he's given credit for taking it out of his own wallet? This one isn't as egregious  as the ones that are actually government checks, but the principle... or should I say, lack of such... is the same.. Hmmm.. at least I don't think it's a check from a government agency...

---
L-E headline/story: " Clinton email warrant unsealed *  In the Weiner probe, the FBI discovered header information on emails pointing to correspondence to and from Clinton, the papers say. Given the findings of the earlier probe, “there is also probable cause to believe that the correspondence … contains classified information which was produced by and is owned by the U.S. government,” they say. *  After getting court consent to delve into the newly discovered emails on Oct. 30, agents spent several days analyzing them before Comey announced that they contained no new evidence of any wrongdoing by Clinton." -- "they contained no new evidence of any wrongdoing by Clinton."? Hmm.. but what Comey doesn't say is that there may be collaborating evidence of already known issues.

---
L-E headline: "Pope grants freedom to jailed prelate in leaks scandal" -- Wait a minute.. since when is Poop Francis granted presidential powers of a government court? I just have to ask, "Hey, who elected Poop Francis president?"

---
L-E story: "Today I walked down the hall behind a young man I taught when he was sophomore. Now he’s a senior. *  Ryan spoke candidly to us about his desperation to graduate. Father of two, he finally had recognized the critical need to start his adult life with an education." -- Hmm.. 18... and a father of two... and now recognizing he's about to start his adult life... where were the advisors when "Ryan" was taking Sex Ed?

---
L-E headline: "Berlin attack may imperil Merkel’s re-election bid" -- Well, it damn well ought to.. after all, she allowed over 800,000 "refugees" a la carte entry into Germany...

---

L-E headline: "Ga. leads nation in number of executions as Texas slows" -- If all 50 states executed 9 violent criminals a year, a total of 450 would die. In Chicago alone this year there have been 771 homicides and over 4,200 street shootings. Our court system is not doing enough to deter violence on the streets.. more and more public executions of violent criminals is what is needed.

From the "Forrest Gump: Stupid is as stupid does" department - Online headline: Berlin Christmas market truck attack: Police eye terrorism link" -- Good grief.. terrorism stares mainscream media straight in the eye and mainscream media gives terrorism the benefit of the doubt..

---
As if you need another example of " "Forrest Gump: Stupid is as stupid does" department - The Electoral College cast their votes yesterday.. right in line with our Constitution's directions. Guess what.. Trump won... yet there are mainscream media sources that will look for another avenue to deny Hellary lost.

---
How ironic.. after all the hubbub about Electoral College voters defecting... and Trump lost 2 ...on top of that Hellary lost 5!...including 1 to Faith Spotted Eagle.

---
With the reports of Electoral College voters receiving death and/or injury threats if they cast their votes for Trump, where is the DOJ tracking down such threat senders and prosecuting them for civil/voters' rights violations?

---
You know, it's shameful for any duly elected Congressperson, who has sworn to uphold the Constitution , to contest the very system that oversaw his/her election.

---
You know, mainscream media just lost, and even now deny, the fact that Trump supporters ARE mainstream America.

---
Online story: "MOSCOW, Dec 19 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that the killing of Russia's ambassador to Turkey was a despicable provocation aimed at spoiling Russia-Turkey ties and derailing Moscow's attempts to find, with Iran and Turkey, a solution for the Syria crisis. * He heaped praise on the murdered Russian ambassador, Andrei Karlov, who was shot in the back and killed as he gave a speech at an Ankara art gallery, and made clear that Moscow's response to his assassination would be robust." -- Good grief.. If it was the American Ambassador who was assassinated, Obama would have apologized for the ambassador getting in the way of the bullet..

---
Michelle Obama had a parting interview with Oprah.. in it Michelle said "her anonymity was her biggest sacrifice for serving as first lady of the United States. For Obama, she misses the simple, everyday activities that so many Americans take for granted." -- Hmmm like "his and hers" Air Force 1s for vacationing.. or an entourage of 20 plus attendants"

---
From above story - Michelle also "spoke candidly about the past election, saying that the whole process was a "painful" experience. * "You know, this past election was challenging for me as a -- as a citizen. To watch and experience. It was painful." The first lady also acknowledged that she ultimately went to sleep not knowing the outcome of the election." -- What BS! Just because no news source called it before 3:00 AM doesn't mean she didn't "know" the outcome.. speaking of 3:00 AM.. wish I'd been a fly-on-the-wall when Hellary answered THAT phone call!

---
Just listened to a Democrat spinmeister who said the Republicans were now in control "of everything" so he expects the Republicans have to produce . What he didn't say was that he would help.

---
Online headline: "Bill Clinton: 'One thing' Trump knows 'is how to get angry, white men to vote for him'_ - Good grief.. oh.. like men who think Clinton is a menace to all men's wives and daughters? A lot of those votes were not just for Trump, but against letting Slick Willie back into the White House.

---
Online story: "HONOLULU, Dec 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama shortened the prison sentences for 153 convicts, mainly low-level drug offenders, and pardoned 78 others, the White House said on Monday.Obama has commuted the sentences of 1,176 federal prisoners, the White House said, as part of a push to reduce the number of people serving long sentences for non-violent drug offenses. "-- Good grief.. and a lot of those "low-level/non-violent drug offenders" plea bargained out the violent aspects of their charges..

---
Wow..have you noticed how much toilet paper just jumped in price in the last two weeks?..Guess supply cannot keep up with all the liberal/mainscream media crap being dumped into the news cycles.

---
We bought a wonderful "Enchanted Princess" play house from Sam's for Santa to give to our granddaughter. It wasn't inexpensive to begin with, but it took me 4 hours and 30 minutes for me to assemble it Sunday afternoon, and I have a lifetime of experience in handling tools and reading directions. This is a head's up for others who are thinking they can put it together in 30 minutes Christmas Eve after the kids get to bed.

---
Online headline/story: "GM says will shut five US plants in January to adjust supply *  In November, GM announced the layoff of about 2,000 workers with the suspension of third shifts at the Lordstown and Lansing Grand River plants, also in January." -- So Government Motors, which never fully paid back the American taxpayers for the "loans" Obama gave them, announced all this AFTER the election...Guess the Democrats didn't want Trump to win with 535 Electoral votes to 3.. (hey, the 3 wrongfully given to Washington, DC are always going to vote for Democrats)

---
Online headline: "Georgia's Unemployment Rate Rose Slightly In November" -- Good grief.. mainscream media just cannot grasp the "hope" in the air after Trump won.. The unemployment rise is because, in spite of companies hiring temporary employees for the holidays, more people were out looking for jobs now that Trump is going to be president. There are two categories of returning job seekers.. those with hope that a successful president will generate a successful economy, and those habitual non-workers who see that they will HAVE to go back to work after January 20th.. anyway.

---
L-E editorial content: "Almost three months after a fateful closed session of Columbus Council in which substantial pay raises for city officials were discussed, debated and ultimately rescinded, the public knows little more about the episode now than then. *  Though there is reportedly an electronic recording of that meeting, City Attorney Clifton Fay said the recording, unlike the minutes, is not public record. Tomlinson also said the recording is not a “legally required record.”" --  "Tomlinson ..said the recording is not a legally required record"? You know.. is it really about it being a "required record" or is it about Tom-LYING-son's desire to conceal the truth when transparency would benefit everyone else?

---
The Columbus Consolidated Government just published it's required report on the 1999 SPLOST projects' update. Lot's of question abound, but one that really catches my eye is that there was $56,000,000.00 worth of "Roads" projects voted in, and that was in 1999 dollars.. now we see that the City has let $3,000,000.00 of that just rot in devaluation in an account. Why? Our roads are in the worst shape I can remember since Red McDaniel first got elected in the 1970's.. now we have no Red McDaniel to fight for us and his replacement is more interested in raising out taxes than in raising our road quality.

From the " do not think mainscream media will get behind Trump" department - Online headline/story: "Trump wraps up the last of his rowdy 'Thank You' rallies in Alabama * Trump ran through a list of the states he had won, boasting about his improbable victory, criticizing the polls and pundits who had cast doubt on his chances, and repeating his usual criticisms of the "very dishonest" media that covered his campaign. * Trump also praised the Electoral College system, which handed him a decisive victory over his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, despite her substantial lead in the nationwide popular vote." -- "usual criticisms"..."handed him"... "her substantial lead"? ... Good grief.. I guess Journalism schools no longer deal with professionalism, objectivity, nor researching facts. Trump nailed problem issues, worked hard and smart across the Nation, and her overall "popular vote lead" was all accounted for in ONE state!.

---
Let's parse California's "popular vote" for a second..Hellary got nearly 3,3 MILLION more votes than Trump.. over a 1,2 Million of those plus votes" came from Los Angeles County ALONE. Throw out Los Angeles County from the state total, and Trump WON.. In fact,Trump won 25 of the 58 counties in California.

---
You  know, if Jill Stein challenged California's "popular vote" based on citizenship, and voter ID, in Los Angeles County alone, Hellary's "popular vote" win would probably be a myth.

---
Obama says America is respected more now than 8 years ago..I agree...only the "respected more" has been acquired only since November 9th following Hellary's concession call.

---
Obama doesn't need to worry about Trump destroying his legacy...Michelle has pretty much done that with her first and last public appearances..the first one when she said she was proud if America for the first time in her life, and now she says she has no "hope".. she pathetically..and inadvertently and single handedly  reminded the world of the failure of her husband to create hope for America's future.

---
My bride and I were in Atlanta in late October, and again last week.. one of my key alerts to where our economy is heading is the number of big trucks are on the Interstates. October's impression wasn't encouraging, but last week big trucks were heavy going into and out of Atlanta.. I cannot remember when I saw as many of the big trucks,, Hey, Ken Nugent,, you're about to get busy..

---
Ironic, isn't it, that while Democrats are trying to blame..to pin..all the political e-mail releases on the Russians, WikiLeaks principle Julian Assange denies any collusion with the Russians.

---
Amazing...reality still hasn't set in for Democrat spinmeisters that as soon as the Electoral College casts their votes today, their jobs are basically over.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poll: A majority of Republicans think Trump won the popular vote" -- It really gets me that liberals are clinging to their claim that Hellary "won" the "popular" vote when reality is her whole advantage is the vote number from California alone. The other 49 states popular vote total favored Trump.

---
Maybe the Democratic Party leadership committee is really made up of vampires or undead..don't laugh.. have you noticed whenever they look into the mirror and point their finger-of-blame, they never see their own reflection.

---
I do declare..Saturday, we rode on Whittlesey Rd from Whitesville to Veterans and there wasn't a single orange barrel lining the street. Of course, it could have been a college prank to remove them ..

---
Good grief..with 80 Bowl games this season..160 teams...how did Grambling vs North Carolina Central get scheduled against each other?. It had to be intentional to schedule 2 "historically" black schools. To boot, it was for the Historic Black Colleges and Universities National Championship..Please.. let's move forward as a nation. When there is something good to share, it's better when shared with everyone!

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE * Darr’s defense of Shah was his undoing" --
After all the dust settles, there's really only one issue going forward.. can Tompkins run the Sheriff's Office/Jail on within the budget constraints offered by Mayor TomLYINGson? It was the primary campaign issue regardless of what is implied/printed in his L-E story.

---
L-E headline: "Now is time for conversation about parking deck in 1200 Broadway block" -- Good grief.. has the writer not traveled by car and stayed at an Atlanta hotel? If you have a car, you're going to be hit with a $34.00 +/- "valet parking" charge per night. Of course the hotels coming are going to build parking facilities for their guests. As for other public parking, let the merchants take on that challenge and build a garage.. It's what our family store and other Broadway merchants did in the 1960's. You can see how ill-fated the public sector has been for managing garages properly by seeing that the 900 block garage has gone "free" because operating it was an expense, not a positive revenue source, for the City.

---
L-E story: "When the state of Alabama executed Ronald Bert Smith Jr. last week, he became the 20th inmate put to death in the United States this year. *  No other lethal injections are scheduled for this month, meaning Smith will probably be the last inmate executed this year in the United States. As a result, the country is poised to end 2016 with its lowest number of executions in 25 years." -- And liberals wonder why violent crimes are growing.... The death sentence.. carried out with in 2 years of it's issue, is what will get the attention of street thugs... and the more public such executions are, the more impact at discouraging violent crimes. Assaults on police officers should carry mandatory death sentences now that so much info can be gathered from security and dash cameras, whether the officer is killed or not..and would be effective with officer videoed acts of intolerance or power abuse being met with zero intolerance.

---
Super_LIV's L-E "soundoff": "American voters have just elected someone who has no experience, major debt, unscrupulous business practices, legal difficulties, no morals … the list goes on and on. These people want to brag about their choice?" -- Wait a minute.. shouldn't this have run following the 2008 and 2012 elections... and after the DNC nominating convention?

---
Random thought: "The 13th Amendment to the Constitution declared that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." Formally abolishing slavery in the United States, the 13th Amendment was passed by the Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified by the states on December 6, 1865." -- Will someone please post this on Theresa El-Amin's FB page.. The same Amendment that abolished slavery (oh, and only passed because of the Republican Party) also kept such involuntary servitude for CONVICTED criminals ... regardless of race.

---
L-E headline: "PRESIDENTIAL TRANSITION * Trump’s Cabinet picks signal a major shift" -- Yeah.. a shift away from political hacks and cronies to a Cabinet filled with concerned and successful leaders willing to share thie success with all of America..

---
Booty Max.. one of those insufferable ads bombarding the TV air waves just in time for the holidays..any time I hear an ad promising the fast, easy, and fun way to lose weight, I wonder if it's being marketed by Democrats.

---
Demented LIV's L-E "soundoff": "A Maine detox facility is using cannabis to get addicts off opiates, and they are having success with it. Makes sense, as you cannot die using marijuana because it is not physically addicting." -- "not physically addicting"? Good grief.. then why do people commit crimes to get money to purchase it?

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "To the people who voted for Trump: Watch what you wish for, and reap what you sow. And so will we." -- Hmmm.. with a chance to "sow" success versus "more of the same, America chose to move forward rather than wither on the vine.

---
L-E headline/story "Harris Co. system on AP District Honor Roll * In fact, Harris County is the only Columbus area school system ever to be on the AP District Honor Roll. * Inclusion is based on three years of AP data. This year, the period is from 2014 through 2016." -- Hmmm... and our Superintendent has been here all those years...

---

There's a wonderful plea for passing "Marsy's Law" in today's Columbus L-E.. a number of victims/victims' families right are addressed. I can agree wholeheartedly with most of these rights, but I do think any "right to restitution" needs to be clarified.. who is going to be responsible for "restitution"? If victims/families of victims can get money out of the perpetrators, so be it, but it is not the taxpayers responsibility.

Saturday, December 17, 2016

Online story: "On Friday, the office of the Director of National Intelligence said it's not ready to release new information regarding the Russia's interference in the 2016 election. * It said members of the intelligence community are conducting a review ordered by President Barack Obama of every instance of electoral interference dating back to the 2008 presidential election. * The statement followed President Obama's press conference, when he said he met "face-to-face" with Russian President Vladimir Putin in China in September. He said he told Putin to "cut it out."" -- Hmmm..told Putin to "cut it out"? Yeah, and I guess Putin told Obama he "double-dog-dared" him to cross over the line and stop him...besides, the Director of National Intelligence's admission he has nothing he can release sounds like Comey first saying that Hellary was a Sainte.

---
Obama is in deep panic..now his spinmeister/Press Speaker is lying about there being zero dispute about Trump knowing the Russians were undermining Hellary's campaign. First, not even the FBI agrees with the CIA, and neither does the American electorate.

---
Obama says he didn't think Hellary was treated fair during the election. Hmmm wonder if he felt Ambassador Stevens or the other 3 dead Americans in Benghazi were treated fairly by Hellary.

---
Hellary's campaign manager say's this election has revealed something is broken in the FBI..what BS! If anything has been revealed it's that the DOJ and the Democratic Party are corrupt beyond imagination.

---
Hmmm..liberals will have to get over what they claim "lost the election" for Hellary..Trump just appealed to the thirst of the American voters to make America Great Again. The reasons Hellary lost were her scandals, her lies, her feeling superior to mainstream deplorables/irredeemables, the DNC for trashing their own primaries, her husband for being honest about OObamaCRAP, her lack of new solutions to old problems, her support of Obama's existing programs, and she disdained baking cookies.

---
Obama says he wants the DOJ and FBI to be independent of politics...HUH? He appointed Holder and Lynch purely on his own political agenda..whatta joke...yeah..just like his "legacy".

---
You know, Obama needs to start a new apology tour on January 20, 2017, and go to each of the 57 states he said he campaigned in in 2008.

---
Yesterday, somebody got sick during Obama's press conference...I can empathize as his "splaining" himself made me ill, too.

---
Hearing Obama "splain" about why he can't/won't release any proof about Russian hacking just made me turn him off as incompetent..Obama is a sorry question answerer once he has to go off his TelePrompters!

---
Online story: " An 11-year-old transgender Ohio child must be allowed to continue to use the girls' restroom while her school district appeals a court ruling in her favor, a U.S. appeals court ruled Thursday. * The case began in June, when the school district sued to stop an order by the administration of Democratic President Barack Obama requiring schools to allow transgender students to use the restrooms of their choice. * In its ruling on Thursday, the court pointed out that the child had attempted suicide multiple times before being allowed to use the girls' restroom, and that her stress level had diminished since the ruling went into effect." -- Good grief.. hurry January 20th.. so Trump can void Obama's Executive Order!   I tell you what.. only a uber-liberal judge could use "evidence" of multiple suicide attempts as "evidence" to justify when it appears that the 11 year old is just as incapable of figuring out how to do so as he is in figuring out his gender confusion.. To me.. it sounds like the boy is being pushed/abused by his parents.

---
Online headline: "John Glenn lies in honor at Ohio capitol" -- Obviously not the same as a headline that reads, "Obama lies" or Hellary lies".

---
Was riding on Moon Rd yesterday almost free of any other traffic...the just finished portion between Miller and Weems Roads.. and it felt lie a roller coaster.. After all the years spent, after all the tax dollars spent, suddenly the lyrics of a classic song came to mind.." Is that all there is?"

---
Online story: "SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's not uncommon to find lists rating the city or state you live for livability based on the economy, attractions or in some cases crime. * A list recently hit social media that ranks Georgia's most violent cities, based on things like murder, robbery and assault. * Not only was Savannah on the list, it was third for most violent, behind Columbus and Atlanta." -- This was aired in February of this year.. did anyone see it in the Columbus media.. or did Mayor Tom-LYING-son, the L-E, and Council members running for re-election in May "snuff" the story out?

---
Sheriff John Darr and new Sheriff-elect Donna Tompkins have already sent in their post-runoff disclosures, and "Keep the Freeze Committee" has made it's final disclosures public, but the "Thaw the Freeze Committee" has not.. I guess the "Thaw" committee is embarrassed to show how much more than the previous $142,000.00 disclosure was spent in it's "flaming failure"...

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department - L-E story: "The U.S. government has more than doubled, to $25 million, its reward offered for information on the whereabouts of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, placing him in a category whose only other occupant is Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda. * the increased reward does not come with any indication that U.S. intelligence has a firm idea of where Baghdadi is located." -- Good grief..Obama's intelligence leaders have no clue where al-Baghdadi is, and mainscream media is aghast that Trump doesn't think it's worthwhile to hear a report from them daily...

---
The L-E just printed an MCSD report on the current SPLOST projects.. Just curious, but how can original estimates be higher that the projected costs of SPLOST voted-on projects? I mean,, some of  the projects were for metal shed buildings on slabs and projected at $312.00 a square foot.. and that was just a figure pulled out of the air because NO bid-estimates were ever put out.

L-E headline: "Falcons try to edge closer to playoffs against reeling 49ers" -- Boy.. this will confuse KaeperPRICK no end..if he looks like he's kneeling to protest the National Anthem, it will look like he's kneeling to pray.and he can't win.. on or off the field.

Online headline/story: "Bernie Sanders goes on scathing rant over Trump's Cabinet"  -- Hmmm.. a guess this is about the equivalent of America's future getting "The Good House Keeping's Seal of Approval".

---
In all the hubbub of Trump's victory, I just realized that Arizona's "Sheriff Joe.. is no mo".

---
Isn't it ironic that the Democrats, which idolize the communist/socialist ideal, who fawn over the death of Castro , are now upset at Russia?

---
Online headline: "Elizabeth Warren promises to introduce legislation that will force Trump to divest from his business empire" -- Good grief.. what's Pocahontas been smokin' in her peace pipe?

---
Follow up on a local issue I mentioned Wednesday..that Sheriff's SUV that I saw in the same spot at *:00 AM and again at 3:00 PM.. may.. I say ..MAY have been from the Harris County Sheriff's Department.. I plan to research a bit on the paint scheme.. of course, this raises the question as to why a Harris County Sheriff's deputy would be parked just into Muscogee County is another question in itself.

---
L-E headline/story: "GEORGIA SUPREME COURT * Court calls Michael Eddings victim of ‘elaborate con’ * “This is overwhelming,” said Eddings, who has maintained throughout the ordeal he had no knowledge of his wife’s deception. *  (must) Make full restitution within five years of this order to the victims who have not been compensated by First American Title Insurance Company." -- You know, if his marriage was so broken that Edding's didn't know what was going on, then he should have replaced her as his office manager long before the problem arose.... but.. it's not just the victim's NOT compensated by the insurance company that should be reimbursed, but First American Title Insurance Company should be reimbursed, too, because the payouts affect every home buyer in what they pay for such insurance.

From the "look what I stumbled across" department: While looking up information on downtown properties, I pulled up the Downtown YMCA tax database page.. I did not realize a gym/recreation membership operation could be tax exempt.. I'm curious.. how does a facility used as a gymnasium be considered for tax exempt status.. does this not give such a huge economic advantage over competitive private sector operations?  To boot, my bride has a "family membership" there, and it's not even competive to what she can do so elsewhere..

---
From the "not sure where this writer is coming from" Lp-E "soundoff": " Thank you, Judges McBride, Kennon and Jordan, and Dr. Cox and Dayna Solomon, for your roles in the Accountability Courts, and to L-E for this light-spreading article in the midst of such daily dark news." -- You know.. what I remember most from the story that produced this "soundoff", I remember the statement that these were alternate processes to incarcerations that cost us $50,000,000.00 annually per person jailed. I parsed that figure, and it would have meant Sheriff Darr would have been spending $50 MILLION a year, but did so on less that 10% of that..How about an audit of the stated $50,000.00 per prisoner per annum figure so we can see if the alternative processes ARE cost effective.

---
L-E story: "The boyfriend a jury convicted Nov. 17 of killing Tina Green Hall and her 6-year-old son in a staged murder-suicide will spend the rest of his life in prison. * Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Ron Mullins ordered 59-year-old Vince Martinez Harris to serve two consecutive sentences of life without parole " -- "without parole"? We wish! You know, in violent.. aberrant behavior.. like this.. there should be an optional sentence handed down to insure such evil does not have any chance of getting back on the street.. let the convicted choose between the death sentence.. to be carried out within  2 years, or... life without parole..  nor any appeal to the sentence.. That would remove the public costs of ongoing lawyers and trials.

L-E headline/story: "GOVERNMENT * Jobs, crime discussed at mayor’s ‘Let’s Talk’ forum *   Jason Breaux, a resident, asked the mayor what the city was doing to bring more jobs to Columbus, which tends to have one of the highest unemployment rates in the state. The mayor said a lot of the unemployment is the result of drawdowns at Fort Benning  *  “Those drawdowns have an effect on the businesses that service those individuals, reduction in employment and so forth, and has a ripple effect throughout the community,” she said. *  Tomlinson said the new Spencer High School, a $56 million project, will have a tremendous impact on the area, hopefully attracting private investment to the area." -- Good grief.. it's "thinking" like the Mayor's that has America supporting Trump (even though the Democrats in Columbus are still enamored with entitlement programs). TomLYINGson blamed the "freeze" as much as she could, but voters saw through her plot, and now she's at least blaming the effect of Ft Benning downsizing as being a culprit.. but her plans to fix things are pretty much.. well, there's just one word that actually fits... STUPID!" How is a new Spencer going to "attract" private investment to the area.. Spencer has a history of failure that will actually work AGAINST bringing new businesses into the immediate are.. because.. graduates that are not capable of better than minimum wage jobs are not going to have the income not education levels that business demographics seek. Additionally, she saddling all Columbus taxpayers with the TADs which will remove local tax revenues for 15 to 20 years to begin with, but.. when areas are "improved" living costs go up, and people  can't afford them, so those "improved" areas deteriorate .. AGAIN, and become albatrosses on the taxpayers' necks... again. In addition.. all her 'necessities" she's so proud of,,whitewater,  the second ice rink, bike trail,  semi-pro teams,  (she had nothing to do with) are drains on the Fund Balance.. and did you
notice she said nothing about her "dog run" or the Aquatic Center or the Recycling Center.  She also didn't mention the negative effects a bad crime rate and poor school ratings have on attracting new businesses, nor the loss of tax revenues created with CSU buildings and historic building transformation and TAD.projects
Hurry 2018!

L-E headline: "Council considers allowing retirees to work 8 more years" -- In this day, why force the same retirement on all employees....but to keep things even for all, how about a plan that freezes the salary of an employee who options to stay at his/her last salary for the duration of the continuation.. and not count the extra years into the payout. This would solve any inequalities between those who retire at the "mandatory" time and those who would rather work longer if they are capable.

---

L-E headline: "Georgia’s unemployment rate nudges higher to 5.3%" -- Guess all the Trump protesters for the Democrats have been fired, and paid Democratic Party  voters no longer are needed.. What's scary though is that this is the holiday period when extra people are hired for part time jobs.

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Online story: "Bill Gates has suggested that Donald Trump could spur innovation in the U.S. much like John F. Kennedy did in the 1960s." -- Hmmm.. never heard him say that about Obama or Hellary...

From same story: "During the presidential race, the tech entrepreneur reportedly refrained from openly endorsing Trump or Hillary Clinton but, instead, expressed an openness to working with either candidate's administration." -- Hmmm.. interesting ..didn't see/hear mainscream media report that Gates wasn't openly supporting Hellary.. now that the election is over, mainscream media will not admit.. cannot cope with.. wealthy liberals that did not support Hellary either is the reason she didn't win.

---
Random thought:  Hey Democrats... this is how you create jobs and wealth for the middle class .. and HOPE for the nation.. you get the super-wealthy to get excited about using their resources to make it worthwhile to make MORE money!

---
Another random thought: You know.. labor unions do not create jobs.. in fact, they are more responsible at closing factories than keeping them open.. Trumps new plan to cut corporate taxes, and revoke regulations that cause more economic anguish than help workers or the ecological systems will actually bail out many unions from withering into oblivion.

---
Online headline: "Joe Biden is the early 2020 Democratic frontrunner" -- Hmmm.. isn't this sorta like Ford reintroducing the Edsel II?

---
Online headline/story: "NYPD arrests Muslim girl who claimed attack by Trump supporters *  She claimed three men attempted to pull off her hijab while calling her a terrorist and yelling Trump’s name. All this happened, she said, while New Yorkers sat idly by and watched her get assaulted. *  Finally, on Wednesday, she admitted she made the whole thing up, citing “family problems.”" -- Hmmm.. I don't think liberals will get over this until they file a class action suit... against HELLARY.. for breaking campaign promises to be elected.

---
I want to know who Obama appointed in the CIA is leaking "fake news" to liberals about "evidence" concerning Russians, and why any of them is concerned about when and how many briefings Trump has with Obama appointed "intellegence" people.

---
Online story: "The U.S. Supreme Court declined Monday to hear a challenge from a death row inmate who argued that because the state botched its first attempt to execute him, trying again would be unconstitutional. * The court turned the case down in a brief one-line order. Justices Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan said they would have granted the appeal to decide the issue." -- Good grief.. why don't states just given death sentenced criminals a choice.. lethal injection, cyanide capsule, firing squad, or.. being tossed into a "fight pit" with a dozen half starved pit bulls?

---
Online headline: "Ex-CIA chief Leon Panetta says Trump risks major liability if he skips intelligence briefings" -- Hmmm is this the same Leon Panetta that the Little Rock recruiting Center and Ft Hood terrorist attacks killed 14 Americans that he had no clue about it going to happen?

---
Online story: 'Michael Moore writes, "Most would agree the #1 job of the leader of any country is to keep its people safe...That Trump would find it too cumbersome or too annoying to have to sit through 20 minutes of listening to his top intelligence people tell him who's trying to kill us today, simply boggles the mind." --  Hmmm.. and what did Michael Moore write about Obama always claiming he didn't know anything about anything until he read about it the following day in a newspaper?

---
You know...I think the American people have spoken about Trump's cabinet picks, and no where did the American people tell Trump we want him to continue using Obama supporters as advisors on EPA, Energy, or Education issues. We want real change and real hope for America's future.

---
As much as he's a positive mainstay on the AM show, Fox and Friends, Steve Doocy would be a great replacement for Shepard Smith during the afternoon.

---
When is Samuel L. Jackson going to use his CRAPital ONE travel miles to buy his one-way ticket to anywhere outside of America...as promised if Trump got elected?

---
Interesting...France has built a 13 foot tall concrete wall next to the England bound Chunnel lanes...to keep illegal aliens from crossing the rail tracks and jumping on trucks heading to England..my first thought was why... until I heard that England paid for the wall..and I still wonder why France wants to keep them from leaving.

---
Isn't it nice...no, WONDERFUL, to have a president/president-elect who unabashedly says, "Merry Christmas".

---
From the "sanity still exists in some professional sports" department: MLB has banned hazing rookies from being made to dress up in women's garb as not to offend certain groups. Hmmm, then why doesn't the NFL crack down on players disrespecting our National Anthem..that certainly offends the groups I am part of..such as patriots and silent majority and the common sense crowd.

---
A recent vote in the Senate passed the "Further Continuing and Security Assistance Appropriations " by a 63-36 (one not voting) margin.. one of the "earmarks" in it was for $170,000,000.00 in aid to Flint, MI "to repair its lead-contaminated drinking water system, including $100 million to replace its water pipes and other infrastructure". Excuse me, why are yours and my tax dollars going to repair a system in Michigan that neither the state of Michigan nor the City of Flint cared enough to maintain all along? No federal government bailout was offered when Columbus, GA overhauled its combined sewer/overflow issue, and why hasn't the federal government stepped in on Atlanta's failure to repair the same problem that dumps raw sewage into the Chattahoochee River and pollutes the water all the way to the Apalachicola, Fl? Oh.. Senator Isakson voted to tax us, Senator Perdue stood up for us and said, "NO"!

---
Macon Telegraph story: "WARNER ROBINS  * The Houston County Commission made it official Tuesday that voters will head to the polls March 21 to decide whether to extend the special purpose local option sales tax." -- Why was this referendum not done during the General Election this past November..all tax matters should be voted on when the most voters will be activated/motivated? Hey, GA legislators, stop these issues from being voted on in costly "special elections".

---
We understand why Paul Ryan gave Trump a Green Bay Packer jersey with the number "45" on it, but what was with the number "12"  jersey number he gave to Pence...I woud have thought that either number "46" or "2024" would have been a better message.

---
L-E headline: "FOREIGN RELATIONS * In collapse of U.S.-Russia ties, some see nuclear risk" -- My-o-my.. looks like Obama's "intelligence" team missed this for 8 years.. and why is Trump being criticized for not wanting to hear daily briefings from Obama's "intelligence team"? Oh, somebody mail Obama a copy of the L-E so he can read about it...

---
L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL * Council, MCSD approve TAD deals * Columbus Council approved intergovernmental agreements between the city and the Muscogee County School District on Tuesday as part of the development of two Tax Allocation Districts. * The Muscogee County School Board approved a similar resolution on Monday, paving the way for Midtown East and Midtown West TADs to be developed. *  A TAD allows the city to issue revenue bonds for areas that need infrastructure and environmental improvements. Taxes gained from the development are used to repay the revenue bonds for about 20 to 30 years, and then the money goes into city and school district coffers." -- Now you see why defeating Mayor TomLYINGson's "Tax Thaw"  was so important to the future of Columbus.. had she won, the City could have issued even more bonds against the rising assessed value of local properties.. now you see why the developers, banks and related industries were spending $142,000.00 (through October.. November figures somehow haven't been reported) to get it passed. Now the question is when the bought-and-paid-for-school board will be crying for more SPLOST money, and the City will try again to "Thaw the Freeze". Mayor TomLYINGson's intentional draw down of the Fund Balance will cause the new bonds being more costly to the taxpayers as it is (Banks and Developers WIN), but what anguish will the students and taxpayers of Columbus have to endue or the next 20-30 years as the reduction of TAD area property taxes reduces everyday operation revenues to the schools and City?

---
L-E editorial headline/content: "EDITORIAL * Rail line idea still on the table * Talk about what used to be called a “bullet train” connecting Columbus and Atlanta (and, in some versions, points beyond) has been around at least since the late state Sen. Floyd Hudgins was pushing the idea in the mid-1980s." -- Good grief.. a $4 Billion dollar project with a 15 year projected timeline to completion (yeah right.. just look at the "projected timelines" for Veterans Parkway and Whittlesey Rd projects) and now we are told the "bullet" rail would probably run at 63-to-71 MPH, and take longer than a car traveling at the posted speed limits to get to the Airport, and we are told by Mayor Tom_LYING-son that revenues would exceed expenses (like the Post Office and AMTRAK and the AquaCenter). Yeah, right.. Somebody let Trump know this is projected to cost as much as the Boeing AirForce 1 project he just canceled because of ridiculous cost projections, and make sue he knows this "high speed rail" project will be even more wasteful.

L-E headline: "Fed raises key interest rate" -- Wow.. even the fed is excited that Obama is out, and Trump, not Hellary, is in!

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Online headline: "NY TIMES: DNC hacks turned US media into 'de facto instrument of Russian intelligence'" -- "turned US media into "de facto instrument of Russian intelligence"?.. Hmmm.. while Communism has always used such tactics (it's called "duping" if you remember your history lessons before liberalism took such references out) in winning over popular support of the people to win over control of a target country, why would Russia want to mess with the Democratic Party's set-up of socialism that mimics communism? No, a cyber attack by Russia would have been to HELP Hellary to maintain the US decline.

---
Liberals are in such a state of disbelief and denial that now they talk about "Russian influence" into the election is a fact even though there is no proof..and with the CIA's track record includes telling President Bush43 that Saddam Hussein had tons of weapons of mass destruction. and not knowing about the 9-11-01 or Boston Marathon attacks.

---
Online headline: "A Hillary Clinton aide says he made a fatal typo that led to John Podesta's email hack" -- Hmmm.. I guess the NYT, and it's crack investigative team, determined the Clinton Aide's watched reruns of Boris Badenov on the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" show, and that made it a Russian hack-attack. Well, to me the only "hacks" in the story are the ones at the NYT.

---
Online headline: "Gov. Kasich vetoes 'heartbeat bill', signs law banning abortion in Ohio after 20 weeks into pregnancy" -- And he's a Republican? There is comfort that Ohio has come to it's senses and  Kasich will have to win the Republican primary and General Election in 2018 after Ohio voters have experienced 2 years of Trump restoring the beliefs of conservative voters.

---
Online headline: "'Is there literally nothing that can shame you?': US ambassador (Samantha) Power attacks Russia, Assad over 'crimes' in Aleppo" -- Hmmm... is there literally nothing that can shame you"? Wonder if the Obama appointee has ever asked him or the Democratic hierarchy if they have "no shame" about approving partial birth abortions?

---
Online story: "Numerous voting machines in heavily Democratic Detroit showed a greater number of ballots than poll workers records said were cast in the Nov. 8 presidential election, the Detroit News reported on Tuesday. * About 37 percent of precincts in Wayne County, Michigan, where Detroit is located, showed such discrepancies, the newspaper reported, citing records prepared at its request by the county." -- Hmmm.. well this should explain how Hellary got 66% of the vote in Detroit.

---
Once again, I agree with Trump on not needing daily "intelligence" reports from Obama appointees. I mean, wasn't their lack of intelligence why Trump caught Obama and Hellary flat-footed this past November!

---
Now small business owners in the shadows of Trump Tower are complaining that the intense securit measures are affecting their sales. Could it simple be that the truth is more likely that those businesses probably supported Hellary, and now everyone going through there are Trump supporters who remember who the businesses were supporting?

---
Yesterday morning my bride and I picked up her parents at 8:00 AM and took them to Atlanta for a doctor's 6 month check-up appointment. The was a Sheriff's department SUV parked at the corner of Whitesville and Smith Roads.  We returned about 3:00 PM and the same SUV and deputy were still parked there. What gives?

---
Oh, BTW, Jill Stein's complaint about voting errors in Wisconson was right.. Trump picked up more votes than was originally reported.

---
L-E headline: "COLUMBUS HIGH-SPEED RAIL PROJECT * Environmental study needed to proceed" -- Good grief.. SANITY is what is needed to even consider this!.. Part of the "sanity" includes waiting for Trump to take office and see what EPA regulations are tossed which may reduce the regulations that now have to be met.

---
Instant repeat headline w/story: COLUMBUS HIGH-SPEED RAIL PROJECT * Environmental study needed to proceed * Weber said top speeds can reach 110 to 150 mph on a regional line and 150 to 220 mph on an express line. The Columbus-Atlanta route is not long enough to reach such speeds, she said. So the top speeds are expected to be closer to 63 and 71 mph, which are the average speeds for regional and express lines, respectively. * The regional trip would be 1 hour and 26 minutes and express would take about an hour." -- Good grief.. It takes LESS than a hour from Exit 19 of I-185 to the Airport by car observing the posted speed limits.. and Groom already offers better times than the expectations of this "high speed rail"

---
Instant repeat headline w/story: COLUMBUS HIGH-SPEED RAIL PROJECT * Environmental study needed to proceed * For the year 2030, the express rail system would generate an estimated $28.5 million in revenues against $23.5 million in expenses, according to the feasibility study available at www.columbusga.org/highspeedrail. * The Regional system would generate $24.6 million in revenues to offset $21.5 million in operating expenses. One-way trips are projected to be 1.1 million by 2030." -- Good grief.. another plan that parallels the financial disaster at the Aquatic Center! No private sector business could.. would.. operate on such weak margins that allow no room for profit, maintenance, or heaven forbid, UNSEEN PROBLEMS!

---
One last "instant replay" - L-E headline: COLUMBUS HIGH-SPEED RAIL PROJECT * Environmental study needed to proceed " -- And the final nail in the coffin is: It's proposed by Mayor Tom-LYING-son!

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

Online headline/story: "Trump will give sworn testimony just weeks before he's sworn into office * This latest deposition stems from Trump's lawsuit with celebrity chef José Andrés, who was supposed to open a restaurant in Trump's new D.C. hotel. * Andrés backed out of the deal following Trump's campaign trail comments about immigrants." -- Hmmm.. sworn testimony....under oath.. in an "interview/deposition".. how novel when you realize that the FBI interviewed Hellary about infractions of laws and regulations concerning the security of this nation, and didn't record it or put her under oath!

---
Online headline/story: "Pedophile beaten to death by angry preschool parents * A pedophile convicted of molesting five preschool children in 2010 is dead after he was allegedly attacked by parents who took the law into their own hands. * (He) was playing his trumpet at a church just outside of Buenos Aires on October 30th. * Even though he received a 30 year sentence, he only spent 4 years behind bars. *  The parents were reportedly from a preschool where the 42-year-old is accused of molesting students." -- I do not condone vigilantism.. but when people are fed up with liberalist government's handling of everyday decency, it is going to happen...

---
From the "anguish is poetic justice" department - Online story: "Outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid lambasted FBI Director James Comey in a Monday interview with CNN, claiming that Comey "single-handedly" cost Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton the election. * "Had he not written that letter a week or so before the election, she would've won," Reid said. "We would've picked up at least two more Senate seats."" -- Hey Dingy Harry.. America DID win.. the 30 states that picked Trump did so because they did not want Hellary.. and Comey had no influence on them.

---
Why is it so hard for liberals to believe that after 25 years of Hellay's lies and scandals, after 8 years of Obama lies, and after the DNC had to manipulate the primaries in order to nominate her versus Bernie, that most Americans did not want anymore of the Democrat Party controlling heir lives?.

---
Online story: "Montana's attorney general's office says it cannot find legal grounds to challenge a "reprehensible" 60-day jail sentence for a man who raped his 12-year-old daughter.*  Montana state law mandates minimum 25-year-prison sentences for sexual assaults of victims age 12 or younger. *  McKeon gave the man a 30-year prison sentence but suspended all but 60 days. *  McKeon said a legal exception allowed him to suspend most of sentence because a court-appointed evaluator said treatment outside of prison best to rehabilitate the offender while protecting the victim and society." -- Good grief.. on the word of an "evaluator", this judge put a sick man back on the streets during his daughter's lifetime, and best we can hope for is word will get around in the prison population. Hey, anyone know the addresses of those Brazilian parents who took care of that pedophile?

---
L-E headline: "GBI declines request to investigate 2 school district incidents" -- Hmmm.. guess the poltical supporters of the re-elected school board members had their way in his, too.

---
L-E headline: "U.S. SUPREME COURT * ‘This has been a long fight.’ Terry Beasley’s wife reacts to NFL concussion settlement" -- It didn't start with the NFL...I empathize.. even sympathize with the players, but have reservations about blaming the NFL.. I played Pop Warner, and Jr High football, when equipment was rather primitive compared to today's (but a huge step up from the unpadded leather helmet my dad used), but it wasn't tacklin' and blockin' like we did in sandlot games that was the problem.. all of a sudden, we went from sandlot games where we grappled and wrestled players down,  to having ardent,.. even well-meaning adults hovering over us to make sure we drove into our opponent and took him to the ground.. If we did it well, we were praised and we felt accomplished and desired to get more praise. Better players moved on and the competition got tougher, and the coaching got more intense.. praise became tougher to get.. but more rewarding. Ultimately, getting that scholarship or getting drafted by the NFL became the 'golden calf"..Little did I realize on my first day of high school that my future basketball coach would do something I now look back at as important to me today.. I had drawn my old/used equipment and was heading down to the Lakebottom field for the first day of practice.. players were separated by freshmen and upperclassmen. At the separation point, the freshman coach asked if I was going to play basketball for him.. I said, "yes sir"!, He then "ordered" me back to the gym, to turn in my uniform, and start shooting hoops. No, the NFL is not the culprit in the history of concussions.. desire to excel is. I'd always played football before high school, but that ended that day. Thanks, Coach Oswalt...

---
Soapbox moment: You know...even if Russia tried to influence the election, Russia couldn't effect the outcome..if Trump wasn't the Republican nominee, no other Republican would have beaten Hellary. No, Trump instilled hope in American voters in 30 states to rise up and take back control of the direction of America's future. Besides, the states that elected Trump despise Ruskies as much or more than Hellary, so Russia couldn't influence the election in any way for Trump

---
Even if the Russians hacked into our security systems, if there's any blame of it affecting the election, it would be voter backlash at the Obama administration's ineffective protection of our nation's secrets.

---
I'm with Trump on his current position on the regularity of intelligence briefing..decisions are not his, and with the way the intelligence pattern has been such a let down, like Trump, I'd rather wait for info from 'my people'.
---

Question: Why is mainscream media more concerned about Trump keeping promises made even before he takes office, than mainscream media has about promises Obama hasn't kept while sitting in the Oval Office for 8 years.
