Online headline/story: "Trump breaks big political taboo with one simple move * The president-elect spoke on the phone with the leader of a country for the first time since diplomatic ties were severed in 1979 under President Carter. * WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump spoke by phone on Friday with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, a move that is likely to infuriate China and complicate U.S. relations with Beijing." -- It's about time.. politicians have been playing politics too long.. On the other hand Little League Baseball has welcomed Taiwan the entire period. Ironically, Taiwan has won the Little League World Championship 17 times since 1969.. and more ironically .. 1977, 1978, 1979, and 1980.. ALL 4 years of Carter's term!

---
From the "things are getting more right in the world department - I participated in Little League for 35 years ..5 years as a player, and 30 years as a volunteer..Between 1975 and 1992, I use to write Little League baseball annually with a plea to change the eligibility date from August 1st to September 1st in hopes that Little League would take 7th graders out of the picture.. to no avail... in fact, several years ago, Little League actually ADDED more 7th graders to it's program by changing the date back to May 31st. To me, having 7th graders playing with elementary children "changed" perspective.. aside from the spurt of height/weight/strength some early puberty changes brought, the hormone injections brought on different aspects of conversations about sexual discovery. There was a certain "innocence lost" wuth 7th graders playing with 3rd-6th graders.. Today, looking up something about the US-Taiwan relationships that politically were cut-off by Carter in 1979, and revived recently by Trump, I found this passage in Wikipedia: "Effective November, 2015, a new implementation plan was established, which "grandfathers" players born between May 1 and August 31, 2005 as 12-year-olds for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons, using the current April 30 age determination date for the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons. Beginning with 2019, a new determination date of August 31 will be used, which will ban 13 year old players from participating in the Series. What this means is in less that 30 days in 2016 these two  changes have brought about a rebirth of "what's right".. Trump displaces liberalism, and Little League is bringing back "innocence:" in youth development. PLA BALL!

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Comedian casually grills Eric Trump on flight to Scotland" -- Ooops, my bad... thought HuffPOOPOO was revealing another aspect of Sharia Law...

---
From the "are you serious.. is anybody taking this loser serious" department: "Top lawmaker to boycott Trump's inauguration * A leading Democrat recently announced during a CNN interview that he will not attend Donald Trump's inauguration due to his controversial comments." -- Good grief.. a Democrat from Chicago? Probably didn't RECEIVE and invitation from Trump... he hasn't ever been  important enough to get his name in my blog before...and it's not going to change now.

---
HuffPOOPOO story: "A school district in Oregon has "suspended" Santa and any other religious imagery right before Christmas." -- Good grief.. I certainly hope the Pope doesn't drop by wearing a Mitre, or any student comes to school wearing a turban, hijab, biretta, kippah, rosary,or  cross.

---
Online story: "CNN has issued an apology after a tape was leaked where one of its producers can be heard joking about President-elect Donald Trump's plane crashing. * Business Insider reports that the incident occurred on Thursday as national correspondent Suzanne Malveaux was getting ready to broadcast live from the Carrier plant in Indiana." -- Apology? You know.. Trump will accept this and move on.. but had this been a Fox anchor, and the plane mentioned had been carrying Obama.. or heaven forbid, Hellary, no apology would be acceptable by mainscream media,

Online headline: "Washington Monument to remain closed until 2019 for repairs" -- Oooops.. hoping the Washington "monument" was the left side f the Senate, and the remodeling is to accommodate a huge Republican Senate surge in the 2018 elections.. Seriously, though, we can be thankful that Trump will be in Washington, and this tribute to Honest George Washington becomes a construction project Trump will get done early and below budget!

Oh... remember how I've challenged the Claflin School being recognized by a group as the 1st black school in Columbus, because there's a marker on 1st Avenue designating another site?  Well, we went to the Springer last night, and found this historical comment on display:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just saw an usually competent investment analyst berating Trump for negotiating the Carrier deal saying it will cost Americans more to buy American made furnaces than Mexican ones.. wait a minute, industries don't move manufacturing facilities to 3rd World areas so Americans will pay less, industries do so to LOWER production costs, and  INCREASE their margins by building for less and selling at the old (or higher) price back in America..

You know, a week before Thanksgiving, I berated the GA DOT for keeping Veterans Parkway in a mess for the 5th straight post-Thanksgiving sales period, and suggested they shut down for the remainder of the year so merchants and consumers can benefit.. Well, it happened.... that weekend all the crews/and equipment disappeared.. I thought.. wow, somebody was listening to reason and logic.. I was wrong.. yesterday, Veterans Parkway and Whittlesey Road were down to 2 lanes each again, and motorists were backed up for blocks around every access to the shopping centers in that area. Shame on our politicians!

From the "let's parse the Trump landslide mainscream media is upset about because Hellary will have more votes" department - Online headline/story: "The Latest Numbers on the Election: Popular Vote, Counties Won Trump took more than 2,700 out of 3,143 U.S. counties * Clinton's popular vote lead grows *  While Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by at least 2.5 million votes, Trump won more than 2,700 out of 3,143 counties across the United States.* In the roughly 3000 counties beyond the 100 largest, Trump trounced Clinton by about 11.5 million votes. In the decisive states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, the electoral map was a sea of Republican red interrupted only by lonely blue islands in big cities and college towns.” -- Just because a few counties/cities/states attract welfare dependents in droves does not entitle those states to control our National Elections..because our Founding Fathers foresaw what happens to countries that allow liberal politicians to get power by promising the electorate "free" everything. Because of their wisdom, and foresight, America has the longest continual form of governance in the history of the world, and the only country that has had the same form of government from it's first moment of independence!

L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOLS * Jordan High’s automotive program wins national contest"
-- Wow.. 10 young people have just gotten the best education they can get in a failing school system... they have experienced recognition for SUCCESS by their own efforts! They have learned how cooperating with each other on a project.. despite any other differences.. what it takes to be successful! There are no standardized tests that can do the same!  Congratulations.. not only to the crew of workers, but to their friends. other classmates, and every student in the MCSD who will benefit by just seeing success achieved by hard individual and  team work..

With Tuesday's runoff election looming.. I'm a little scared that the L-E and Mayor TomLYINGson sponsored candidate may beat the best Sheriff we had in generations.. I'm a little scared because the Columbus voters surged together to blow out L-E and TomLYINGson supported positions on the president and the property tax referendum, and now they may get lucky on  of their choices.. Rise up again, Columbus.. re-elect John Darr.. and relive that moment when we heard the FREEZE was preserved, and Trump won the presidency!
Vote Darr for Sheriff on Tuesday, December 6th!

SUPER Low Info Voter's L-E "soundoff": "Sessions had best rethink his attitude on immigrants. Eliminate the hardworking Hispanics and what is left of the American economy would come to a halt. Americans do not want to work." -- Good grief.. I don't know one person who is against immigration.. I know that most, including myself, Americans .. natural or naturalized, are against illegal immigration.. There's a huge difference.. and libs who aren't are the ones that benefit from illegal immigration.. like probably the writer of this "Soundoff".. he probably draws welfare because some illegal immigrant has taken a job the writer was qualified to do, but just doesn't want to work.

Hmmm.. I thought Together 2016 was about community projects that enefit the whole comunity.. not just supporting the environ of the Queen TT Lounge..

From the "if you send children out to do an adult's research job, the information will be childish, at best" department - L-E commentary by an associate professor headline/content: "Does the death penalty reduce the murder rate? * BY JOHN A. TURES *LaGrange College * To determine whether the death penalty has acted as an effective deterrent to murder, my Research Methods (11 not to be named or embarrassed here) students....gathered data on which states have the death penalty, and which do not. We also examined whether both types of states have high or low murder rates, for 2015. * We found that among the 25 states with the highest murder rates, 20 have the death penalty. * Among the 25 states with low murder rates, 11 have the death penalty * (Tures' conclusion) Nevertheless, the inability of the death penalty to deter serious crimes should give its supporters some reason to question the effectiveness of capital punishment." -- You know.. libs are so wrapped up in research aimed at supporting their predetermined conclusion, that they don't ask the right questions. (just look at the liberal "polls" of the last election). What Tures doesn't ask/look for is the negative effect of the death sentence as a deterrent when excessive lengths of time between the offense / sentence and carrying out such basically remove the deterrent factor such consequences would have on others contemplating violent crimes. Just look at the case of Carlton Gary.. while his recidivism was stopped. and there are no more vicious crimes credited to him since his conviction 30 years ago, he remains alive, at taxpayer expense, and his death sentence will no longer affect decisions/consequences it would have if  it were done timely back in 1986 when people were aware of the evil he represented.

L-E headline/story: "Carver High replaces head football coach * Carver High School has a new head football coach — its fourth in the past year. * Defensive coordinator Calvin Arnold is the replacement for Dre’Mail King, principal Chris Lindsey confirmed Friday. * Lindsey declined to explain the change. In text messages to the Ledger-Enquirer, Lindsey said it’s a “mutual departure”  * King, however, told the Ledger-Enquirer in an interview that his departure from the program isn’t a mutual decision. * “I don’t agree with it,” King said. “(Lindsey) wanted me to say yes to some things I wasn’t able to. * King wouldn’t say what those things are, but they came from “certain people in the community,” he said. King wouldn’t identify those people, but “they do not work in the school,” he said. “It is very disturbing when people in the community don’t do things in the right way, and yet they are being backed" -- Hmmm... "certain people in the community" who "do not work in the school"? You know.. the school board elections, especially the runoffs, were effected by sources such as these.. and we see how nothing changed that our students needed to have changed.

L-E headline: "GOLF * Woods avoids mistakes, posts 65 in 2nd round" -- Yes.. looks like Tiger is back...
