Today is December 8th.... 75 years ago, my parents-to-be changed their wedding date from June of 1942 to January 10th, 1942 so my they could get married before he reported for active duty after he enlisted following the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  God bless the USA!

How snarkey CAN Time Magazine get..on it's cover story naming Trump "Person of the Year", it adds "President of the Divided States". Let's be clear, first, Trump is "only" the president-elect..secondly, Trump won 60% of the states..thirdly, and on the other hand...the Time magazine assertion of we being the "Divided States" does fit the scenario of what we had become under the current sitting president.

Extra-Super-Low-Information-Voter's L-E "soundoff": "Did you know Pope Francis and Denzel Washington endorsed Trump? Not so. Some examples of “fake news” on Facebook, provided by Russians and others. Trust only reliable news sources: NY Times, Washington Post, Ledger-Enquirer." -- Hmmm.. my first reaction is that this "soundoff" was one from Dusty Nix at the L-E (and I'm probably close if not dead-on-the-money). but .. really.. how do we distinguish "fake stories" from real ones when you read where Nancy Pelosi actually said that neurosurgeon Dr Ben Carson isn't "qualified" for a government position?
